Stopped by for the first time and the family really enjoyed the wings and drinks. The different sauces were pretty good but we should have asked for extra sauce as they were slightly dry. The ranch was amazing. We got 2lbs for $25 which was a pretty good deal. We will be back to try other items on the menu. The family literally ate EVERYTHING but the bones.

This used to be a good place to order by phone and pick up lunch even though its a bit pricy for the portions. However, lately the cooks have reduced the size of the portions. Case in point, I used to order a burger or sandwich with a side of onion rings. The last side I got had exactly 7 onion rings - a little disappointed. So, since I love onion rings anyway, I decided to order my burger/sandwich and go for a full order of onion rings. The full order had a enough rings that I could actually save half and have them the next day with my lunch from home. That was about 4-5 months ago. I recently ordered a bacon cheese burger and ended up with my full order in the same box as the burger. There ended up being a total of 9 onion rings, which works out to just shy of $1 each as a full order is $8.00; AND the little bacon cheeseburger had ONE (1) piece of bacon for $13.50. It looks like Cheerful Bullpen has priced their way right out of my heart and wallet!

Its members only now, but it isnt... it just gives them an excuse to harass you and take your information from the grump at the market in front while you try to be a paying customer. Their hard sell is threatening that youll be kicked out if members start showing up, lol. $100 is asinine for a dingey dive serving wings at $2 per! Hahaha, I wouldnt even call it a bar anymore, theyve downgraded drastically to what, 3 taps? Providence park had more beers on tap than this place now. What a joke.

Dark, and aged, with lack of service, poor food quality. One employee who provided limited service and spent much of her time outside sitting on a bench smoking. I ordered a bacon burger that was flavorless and served with heated tater tots. Was not worth the $17 lunch cost for a burger and drink. I will not return and do not recommend.

I remember this place back in the day being great! Showed up before a Thorns game and all had changed. Not only are the draft beers 12oz, but when we informed them that they were 12oz, the waiter he said “no they aren’t, they are 16oz, when the cup clearly says they are 12oz. So sad, and would not recommend this place on game day.

This place is fantastic. The sports feel is great, staff are incredibly kind and fun people. The wings are amazing, I order wings just about every time I go out to eat American food and this place knocked it out of the park. Tons of flavors to choose from and quick service. Would recommend to any serious wing consumer.

Sadly enough, I havent been here in a while as I dont get out as much as I used to. However The Cheerful Bullpen was always a great little escape for my wife and I. When its quiet, its a great little place to hang out, have a drink, see all the unusual decorations and it has a cute little private outdoor area. When its busy, its a hopping cool place to be. I miss the Cheerful Bullpen and hope I get to go back soon!

Best wings in town! Huge selection of sauces, and the wings are meaty and cooked perfectly. Most people say Fire On The Mountain is the best, but I disagree because the bones always break off in my mouth and leave me fishing hard, gritty chunks out of my mouth. I also think the Bullpens sauces are more versatile and tackle a wider range of flavor.

Went to watch the Timbers away game on TV. Found a place to sit and looking through the menu while waiting to order. Soon noticed nobody taking orders and only a bartender. It was confusing being my first time there for a Timbers away match. I asked the bartender if I order here at the bar? She said shes the only one working. I replied no problem please take your time but she didnt seem to hear that and went on about the wing contest. I said thats fine but she continued about broken glasses being more important. At this point I knew she was overloaded and back away from the bar. The people at the table next to us saw the interaction and knew they werent going to get good service. I decided I can watch the Timbers away game somewhere else and not deal with an angry over worked bartender and we left the bar. While we were walking outside we could hear the bartender shout out the door at us with a sarcastic voice to have a nice night. Apparently she went around the bar to the door to shout at us instead of helping other customers waiting at the bar. That made me realize leaving the Cheerful Bullpen was the right thing to do because not only was the bartender overworked but mental. I have choices and Cheerful Bullpen and a mental bartender will not be a part of my choices.

Half block from the Timbers stadium. Never tried the food, but heard the wings are bomb. Lottery, full bar, many taps, full kitchen, patio, and TVs everywhere, including at several tables! In response to Amys bummer response, I would only be happy to provide proof of the info you debate. There previously had been a great group of folks (patrons and employees) that made this place special. But alas, all have found new places that appreciate their clientele and dont ask for a membership fee (which was brought forth for questionable reasons). So either your staff was trying to steal from me or you are providing misinformation in a review. Truly sad either way. Best of luck to you!!!!This place had been great until current management thought charging a fee to become a member (apparently the membership fee varies by the the person, my friend paid $25, the manager wanted $150 from me)...THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS PLACE ANYMORE. They removed the trees from the patio and there is no sun anymore.

Used to love this place. But it has gone down hill. There food is not very good anymore, they got rid of the Express lunch which was my favorite thing about the place. Drinks are over priced, lots of bars bear by are cheaper. Trivia Wednesday used to be a blast but the host they have now is not great, again plenty of places near by with better trivia. All there TVs are small and game days it is a mad house in there. The outdoor patio is kind of nice, but doesnt make up for everything else.

Terrible experience. I went in to to watch a football game with some friends. We were very hungry and ready for a few beers. It took about 20 minutes just to get a server to to come to our table, even though the bar was practically empty and there were two servers just hanging out. I ordered a beer but my friend said she would want later. I did get the beer but then the server just walked off-- never dropped a menu and didnt come back... We would have left but the game had already started-- eventually went to the bar to get food but was told that we couldnt order there because we were in Abbys section. It took an hour to put a basic order in-- Im not exaggerating. We never did get menus and my friend never got her drink. Plus it was freezing in the bar-- I barely made it through the game, I was so miserable. Im a server, too, so I am very sympathetic to people working in the service industry- but this was pathetic. I definitely wont be going back-- which is sad because its right down the street from where I live and I really wanted the Bullpen to be my regular place to chill with friends, watch sports, and have a good time.

Truly atrocious is the decline of The Bullpen. Two years ago this was one of the best bars in the neighborhood; great food, cheap beer, great neighborly service. But hey, two out of three isnt bad. Just be prepared to wait 10 minutes before being acknowledged, recieve the wrong food/drink order and have the stellar bartender give YOUR bank card to someone else at the end of the night. Yup, you read correct. So thank you, Bullpen, for the inconvenience of having to cancel my card and the massive spotlight upon your incompetence.Sincerely,Your Soured Patron
