What a lovely little shop! Its neatly organized with an excellent use of space. I adored seeing how a beautiful old house could be turned into such a spot. My eyeballs were loving the colour sorting. Easy to get to as its on a main road and parking out front was readily available if not right in front, you could easily find a spot a little up or down the street. There are also bike racks for those who ride. The staff member who helped me out was very kind and helpful.

This is such a cute, well organized Mom and Pop shop. Yes, its a little pricier than JoAnns but you get what you pay for! Their fabric is VERY high quality and if you have a niche-theme youre looking for, youll probably find it there!

I love this store. Its well organized with great fabric options. The staff are always really friendly.I recommend having patience when you shop here because there seems to only be one person working at a time, so you might have to wait for them to help the folks who were there before you. But its worth it to wait to support this small local business.Anyways, if youre like me, there is something deeply enjoyable about being in an old Victorian style house surrounded by yummy textures and excellent color palettes.

This shop is especially friendly to sewing newbies (like myself), and those who love beautiful and unique fabric. In fact, this shop is a little dangerous for artsy types... so much to get inspired by!

I was looking around for some fiberfill to firm my couch pillows more. They were the only store I could find that had it. Very helpful and straightforward! 2 packages filled the ends of 8 large 2 sq. pillows. They werent sagging, I just want them more taunt. Ea. Package gave me 4 thick strips separated by hand and scissor.

Great, fun selection, but AWFUL experience with staff. I see reviews about friendly staff, but mine was condescending and not helpful at all. Not sure shes even aware. Other shoppers reaffirmed my feelings with a non-verbal look of Wow, shes being horrible! I came in excited, but left stunned and upset. Was referred by a friend and when I explained my experience, she asked if the lady was an older woman with gray hair. I said yes, to which she replied, Yeah, shes hit and miss. And shes the owner. So, apparently its not just me because this woman has a reputation. While I loved the fabric, I found and bought it elsewhere, refusing to fund a business that treats people in such a way. Enter with caution...

The fabric is organized by color. I dont know why other places dont do that. The owner helped me with sewing questions even though it quickly became apparent that I need a canvas kind of fabric, not cotton. Shes knowledgeable, helpful, and has an exceptional selection of adorable, cool, surprising fabrics.

Very cute little shop with a wide variety of cotton fabrics. However, as the name suggests, they pretty much only carry cotton so if you need anything else (except maybe some flannel) another shop is probably what you need.

Working and teaching at the best quilt shop on the East coast, (yes, just a bit of bias), I cant help but make comparisons. Cool Cotton is just a great place with a well informed staff and glorious fabrics. I bought enough cool prints to warrant the purchase of a small suitcase at IKEA to take it home!

I have been in multiple times now. Once with two small kids in tow. That got an apprehensive look from the woman working there (maybe the owner?), but they did fine and she was gracious. The last time I went in, I took my quilt pattern and she worked hard to help me find fabrics that I liked. She was patient with my impatience, had great advice, and was very helpful. I could go seriously broke in this store. They also have some special Portland specific fabrics. There is only a small corner of tools and supplies.

A must stop when driving through. The coolest fabrics.

Really kind staff. The lady cutting took time to go through more 30 bolts and help us plan the first quilt project we were undertaking. The fabric variety is great and they update frequently and we always see new fabrics. We drive 40 minutes to get there but always worth it. After many trips taking quilters in the family I really know why this is their favorite shop.

A cozy home on SE Hawthorne St. Parking might be a challenge depending on the time of day. This is a wonderful place of a large variety of cotton fabrics from different name brands and different countries. I especially love their selection from the solid colored mundane, to the eclectic, to eccentric prints and colors. There are also some accessories, supplies, and independent label patterns available. Quilters and hobby sewists will love this place. Fabric addicts can get their fix.Shopping online is convenient, as one can choose to have an order mailed or held for pick-up.
