I don’t know why I waited so long to get a hearing device... what a life changing experience! I’ve been deaf in my left ear since I was a child and having this hearing loss imbalance has caused my right ear to slowly deteriorate. I’m so glad I went to Hearing Rehab Center (West Hills), Jacob is an amazing Hearing Specialist! During my initial session he asked me if I knew much about the different hearing devices. I had a general idea of what I wanted but he wanted me to be confident and comfortable with my decision. He then proceeded to inform me on various options. After I made my selection (I went with the inner canal device), Jacob educated me on the features, functionality and how to care for my hearing device. We tested my hearing and it’s like a whole new world! I can hear the birds sing and the rain drops hit the car. The best experience is when I go to the movie theater I can actual hear the dialogue and surround sound! It’s truly a whole new world for me! Thank You Jacob for your help! Truly you are a friendly and professional expert!

Dave Luther (Oregon City office) correctly diagnosed and repaired the problem I was having with both my hearing aids. I lost hearing in my left ear during dental surgery and made an appointment to see Abbye. She listened to my unfortunate dental experience and tested my hearing in the booth. She found that I had a dead ear and significantly compromised hearing in my right ear. With Abbyes help I received a new hearing aid. I chose to get the best one and am pleased that I did. With my improved hearing I was able to hear and understand my wife from 35 feet away with the door closed. Hearing aides are one of the best gifts I have given myself. Dr. u0010Abbye Callendar is very personable, caring and thorough. I am very happy to have her as my hearing consultant for the rest of my life. She takes any question and any issue I present with aplomb and gives good solid answers. I recommend her as an excellent source for those who have hearing problems. She also gave me a great lead to a long walking trail.

Having had hearing aids in the past, that didnt work very well for me, I was skeptical that anything was going to improve my hearing AND that I was going to be comfortable with. Dr. Abbye was extremely nice right from the start. She diagnosed my hearing loss in short order and had a few suggestions for types of hearing aids that would help me and my particular hearing loss. I have now had my hearing aids for about a month and I love them...and even more importantly, my wife LOVES them. Abbye at the West Hills office of Hearing Rehab Center did an incredible job for me. I am 62 years old and my hearing was REALLY deteriorating. I had previously tried to help my situation with 4 other devices and was unsuccessful. Abbye was SO patient, calm and helpful. She helped me find the LATEST TECHNOLOGY which had just been release and IT WORKED for me. I am so fortunate to have connected with HRC and Abbye. These new technology devices are life changing and cannot be found at just any hearing device office.I always like to make sure I am getting a fair price. After doing some research, I found HRC to be very competitive.It is easy to give a 5 STAR RATING to HRC and Abbye.

9-2-2014The advertisement on KEX1190 radio says the HEARING REHAB CENTER would, among other things, be able to help us get our hearing aids going again no matter where or when we had purchased them. Now, that is just what I needed. One of my hearing aids wasn’t working.So, I called the number given and was quickly referred to their office in West Portland up on Sylvan Hill, which was their closest office to me. And also I was given an appointment in just a few days with Abbye Callender, Au.D.Upon entering the nice, clean, equipped and organized office, Abbye took my aids, vanished into another room, and soon returned. And to my surprise, she had “fixed” the one that wasn’t working. I was so pleased!Next, I inquired of Abbye about having my hearing tested and the aids reprogramed, perhaps another day, another appointment, since it had been more than 2 years since the last time my hearing had been tested.To my surprise, Abbye promptly put me in the sound booth and did the usual audio testing. Then, she reprogramed both hearing aids to the current needs for my hearing loss. Needless to say I am ecstatic! I can hear very clearly again!My feelings as I came away from the HEARING REHAB CENTER was very different from what I had expected …..
