This place is always great to browse on dates or when I need a gift for my mom. They also have a bunch of local art from Maine artists, so its like 50/50 art/pottery. Neat vibe, staff dont push stuff on you at all.

I had one Edgecomb Potters mug for a decade that has been my absolute favorite mug the entire time. Durable enough to withstand the test of time with being used literally every day of my life, but also absolutely beautiful to look at. Whenever I have guests over and offer coffee they go for my Edgecomb mug first. So I decided recently it was time to bring a couple more into the house. No more wasting time with junk mugs. These new ones are utter perfection. Im sipping my coffee from a functional piece of art every day and I couldnt love it more. The price is WELL worth what you get. I wish I could give these guys TEN STARS. Will be ordering more soon!

On our first trip to Portland Maine we were fortunate to stumble into Edgecomb pottery store. The delightful sales girl by the name of Hailey helped us.She was both delightful and knowledgeable about the art of pottery. Her excitement about the pieces in the store encouraged our purchase.

Always like visiting their stores. Very high quality items, at somewhat reasonable prices, all displayed extremely well. Very helpful in the past when trying to track down a vendor they had represented.

We began buying pottery when potters were still in there school house in 1997. Every August for number of years, we would visit Maine from Maryland and always stopped to see how much they had expanded and what was new. Bought many pieces for gift giving and for ourselves. Now live in Mexico and we brought with us, 7 vases, different size openings, 1sm. 2 med. 6 tall, 8 scalloped plate, w/inset to hold one of 2 different size bowls w/wooden spoons, 2 small nut dishes, 18-1/2service dish w/built in handles, (had one twice the size, broken at a wedding in MD), 10-1/2 open casserole/serving dish, 11 pie/serving dish, 6- 4 coffee cups (3 broken), wine cooler w/wooden handle. There pieces are viewed, used and admired by all who see them. They are by far, the most beautiful pottery we display, out of a small collection of other pottery bought in Maine and elsewhere.
