Worst Ive had in my life (no exaggeration) experience purchasing online.Bought shoes and paid for them, never arrived, tracked the order and found they were returned to sender. Tried contacting the company numerous times over the span of a year but never got a reply. I have not been refunded to this day for the product neither for the shipping expensed. I got scammed out of ~100 USD.

I take all my friends and family here when they come to visit, and its always a great stop! Kazeem is one of the best people Ive met in Portland and his taste is impeccable. He travels and sources his products for amazing makers around the work and designs a lot (all?) of the clothing. Portland Trading Co is a great instagram follow as a result!I got a jumpsuit (pictured) for my bridal shower here and it remains one of my absolute favorite things in my wardrobe. Some other favorite purchases include a money clip that Kazeem designed, original Maine flag hat, sewing scissors, Maine the Way publications, and the soy candles that smell so good and last forever!Ive had friends who have gotten jackets, overalls, tshirts, etc and they wear them all the time. Seriously, stop in and check it out!

Portland Trading Co. is a great stop for menswear and mens accessories in downtown Portland. The shop is well-curated, with great brand across the board. Staff are quiet but helpful. Definitely worth a stop, but prices are in keeping with the quality of the merchandise.

THE SHOP IS IN A NEW LOCATION! We visit Kazeem whenever were in Portland and nearly died when we saw the old location empty. The new shop is just around the corner and looks great! Every since the move to Market St. the Trading Co. has felt like a phoenix burst forth from the campfire of our yearning. Sun, Smiles, and smooth tunes, sometimes I just stop in with Kazeem (Lets face it, hes one of the coolest guys in the city of Portland.) I was in Portland a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love this store. The gentleman at the register (who I assume is the owner) is one of the most genuinely nice individuals Ive ever encountered in a retail environment. Im a retail analyst, and he left a lasting impression on me. Great style, impeccably dressed, and just...happy. Sometimes we forget that retail can be a lot of fun.As for the store, however, youd be hard-pressed to find a better selection of high-quality small goods in Portland. I enjoyed just exploring the store and looking at every little thing. The prices seemed reasonable too. I purchased an Ohto Dude fountain pen and added it to my existing collection. Under $30, nothing outrageous or overly fancy, but solid metal body and good results. Ive used it in my home office for the last few weeks, and Ive been impressed with the results. I keep one color in it, and another in my Lamy.If youre a tourist, this is the place to visit for gifts. Trust me. Especially if youre a guy. But even if youre a woman, youll find plenty to like here.My girlfriend and I visited nearly every store in Portland during our trip, and we both agree that this was one of the best. Id return in a heartbeat.(if the owner reads this, keep up the good work!)

I ordered an Item on December 7, 2017 for delivery by the 24. I have yet to received the item today is December 27, 2017. I did receive a Massive apology after 5 emails and several phone calls (heads up they never answer the telephone). I am so disgusted I didnt have a gift for someone because of this awful customer service. . Now they are saying Item was delivered and I dont have the item. UGH! Never again will I deal with Portland Trading Co. Awful customer service.

It was a very disrespectful and bad experience. It is very unfortunate the experience we had with the owner. The owner should leave the customers own their own and never interrupt with them. Perhaps, he should take a course on customer serves and respect. I hardly ever write reviews such as this but it is unfortunate.

I was a tourist visiting Portland with my partner for our honeymoon. We stumbled into Portland Trading Co. expecting another boutique shop offering similar items to the many stores it neighbors and we left with a refreshed attitude towards retail and the idea of service. The owner, Kazeem, is an absolute delight. I overheard him with other customers and thought to myself, If I owned a retail store, I would hire this guy. He was kind, polite, genuine and interested. The items in this store are specially curated and they all have a unique story and/or source. The prices in this shop also range from very approachable to luxury one-of-a-kind items. Upon leaving, and after hearing my partner and I were visiting for our honeymoon, Kazeem (the owner) walked over to one of his shelves and pulled off an item and offered it to us a gift. He knew were visiting and that we would probably never see him again: Knowing this and seeing his generosity in that moment meant the world. We will make a point to stop here again if/when were back and we will also make it a point to shop with Portland Trading Co. and Kazeem when possible via online. Thank you for a great retail experience Portland Trading Co. and Kazeem. We hope many others find this great little store and have the same experience we did.

I ordered an oyster serving tray that arrived broken. After multiple promises to send a new one, I still have not received a replacement.
