No show, no call, really?! twice! Called and talk with Chris Monday, he say he would stop by Tuesday (the next day), he did not come and did not call. Call the office again Wednesday, first spoke to Tim, he said Chris is out, he would be back in a hour will have he get back to me, No one call, call the office again in the late afternoon, Tim (manager) page Chris, Chris said to me he got busy and forgot about the appointment, he will stop by Thursday around noon(the next day). Again, no show, no call!Just want to respond to the owners response: Yeah, you explained 7 months later, hope you will explain that to Chris as well then he should know better! BTW, you never gave the name and phone number of another business that does house calls, stop lying! Your apology is not accepted!

We purchased a used snow blower from Yerxas, and they spent considerable time discussing our driveway size and shape and the pros and cons of various units they had. They showed us how to use it and how to make the components, such as the carburetor, last longer. Their shop repair crew will go over the snow blower to make sure everything is in good working order before they deliver it. When we are ready to buy a new one, we’ll definitely shop at Yerxas again.

Visited the store today for a generator issue. A cheerful staff assisted me with my technical issues and had me on my way. A technician dropped what he was doing to assist me at no charge! In such a busy weather emergency I was completely grateful. Thank you! John L from Falmouth

I had a Dewalt chainsaw that was under warranty and was told that they were a authorized repair center. I took the saw in and was told it would be about two weeks. 3 1/2 weeks later I finally had to call them and was told they still hadn’t looked at it. A month later they finally called me and told me that I needed to pay them to ship it to Boston. Very poor customer service.

These people are the best! They listen, they care, they ask the right questions to figure out the best way to get you what you want, they do not push you towards what they make the most money on, and they give you advice based on what experience tells them you need. They will tell you outright when you may be headed in the wrong direction, or if there is a way you can get what you need without over spending. They are SMART and use that to the customers advantage. They helped me get hard to find parts for an OLD snowblower and an OLD riding mower. When I finally replaced the old snow blower, I bought the new one from them. A few years later when my needs changed I bought a new snow blower from them. I had no qualms or worries trading the first one in. I just said take it and give me what you think is fair They did and they were very fair. They have helped me figure things out and given me good advice when I was doing repairs or maintenance myself. No wonder they have been in bus a long, long time.

Called in for a lawn mower issue. He was backed up for a few weeks but helped diagnosis the issue over the phone to see if it was an easy fix and it was. Will definitely keep them in mind for the future because of it.

Not really sure about these folks, One of the women who provides customer service isnt all that friendly and appears rather annoyed most of the time. The guys appear friendly enough and willing to help in most cases. Ive ordered parts for a RYOBI generator and there seems to be a problem finding the correct part numbers. I ordered a recoil and its been on order since the 7th of September. I just found out that its coming from overseas with no estimated delivery date. Seriously? I also felt I was overcharged for a recoil repair on another generator. I was verbally quoted about $25 plus the cost of the spring ($10) so $35 dollars. I get the bill and was charged $42, half an hour of labor for a 15 minute repair. Not sure how much longer Ill be doing business with them. I cant connect the dots on some of this stuff.

This company is TERRIBLE when it comes to customer service. I called to get my snowblower tuned up during the off-season and I was told they service snowblowers in the month of October, so they took down my information and told me to expect a call back the 1st or 2nd week of Oct. Well, I never got that call, so I took it upon myself to follow-up. Strike one. I made special arrangements to be home when they picked up the snowblower and asked for a date as to expect it ready to be delivered back, explaining that I would be making the same special arrangements to be home that day when it would be dropped off. They changed the date it would be ready for delivery back more than once. It interrupted my work schedule, and when I mentioned this to the lady who contacted me, she was quite unfriendly and seemed to have little respect and consideration for my time. Strike two. I couldn’t keep changing my work schedule around and resorted to having the snowblower being dropped off while I would be at work. Yerxas requested me to leave my check in an envelope at my house (weird, most companies will leave or mail an invoice and customers securely mail back their payment, right?), so I reluctantly agreed and described in detail exactly where I would leave the envelope so as to keep my payment somewhat secure. Come the day of the snowblower drop off, I was called at work since the man delivering was never told by the unfriendly woman about these details about where I would be leaving my payment and skipped over my house since I was not home at the time he was delivering(!). When he finally came back to my house, he failed to place the snowblower in the covered area I’d requested (as it was raining that day), so I had not only been interrupted at work, but then came home to a soaking wet machine. STRIKE THREE.

I have had two experiences with Yerxas. The first last summer to service a Honda mower. From phone call inquiry to finish, I found the people at Yerxas to be helpful, professional and honest. Today, I brought in a new Arien snowblower, purchased elsewhere, that wouldnt start. Lets have someone take a look at it before we write a work order up, I was told. A mechanic came out, figured out the problem in minutes, got it started, helped me load it in (and out) of my car ... and would not accept any compensation. No worries, he said, Have a nice day. Thank you Yerxas!

I had used these guys before when my lawn mower wouldnt stay running. Decent service, they cleaned the carb and got it running. This last time I brought them the same mower with the same problem. When I dropped it off they told me it would be a couple weeks. After 2 weeks I called and they told me they hadnt even looked at it yet as I had just dropped it off 2 weeks ago. For the next 4 weeks I called and each time was told we will probably get to it next week. Finally I called and they said it was done. I went to pick it up and the bill was $100. All they did was replace the carb. They didnt even call me to let men know the carb needed to be replaced. If they had I would have taken it back and replaced it myself. I could have gotten a carb online for $30, they charged me $60, then another $30 for labor that would have taken me 15 minutes. So long story short, if you want your mower back in less than 6 weeks and dont want to be grossly overcharged, dont use these guys.
