Honestly I can see why people give these guys 5 stars as I did have a great experience buying my DW Collectors kit from them 2+ years ago. But, then I tried to get them to help me with a warranty on a cracked Collectors floor tom and have had a terrible response from them since. I have had to call them numerous times - every time being told I would hear right back, and didnt. As a result, I missed the opportunity to have the repair warrantied and now only have the choice to spend hundreds on repairs. Not cool at all. I guess they only like to work with customers when they are buying expensive brand-new kits. After that, you arent important anymore.

I got a new DW 9500 series hi-hat stand for cheaper than anywhere else I could find, and the shipping was super fast. I didnt get tracking info, but was super impressed with how fast they delivered and the price saved me cash. Customer service was great too. This store made it into my favorites with one transaction. Highly recommended.

Horrible experience ever! probably the toughest and longest Ive ever had with a business! It could have been really simple, Ive ordered a pair of bass drum beaters, and received different ones. Keep in mind there is a store entirely dedicated to drums... I had to beg them to get the right order before shipping back the wrong because I really need them and couldnt wait, they were also unable to send me the properly shipping back label and it took a while before they seemed to understand and cooperate. They apparently sent the right items but Ive never gotten the tracking and never received the package. They are ignoring my email. Ill shop somewhere else.

I walked in and they set me up with an incredible kit that came in under budget. I had a really good time shopping there the staff is fantastic. I have shopped at Portland percussion and others and have never been made to feel welcome. These guys set the bar for customer service and interaction.

I spoke with Chris moments ago. He was polite, receptive, and actually listened to my questions and cared about how he thoughtfully answered them. He spent time talking to me in-depth about the topic, educating me so I could make informed decisions, and never once acted too busy or rushed. I live some distance away, but I assure those of your reading this he made my experience sufficiently positive, and I will absolutely visit the store and make a purchase. More than anything, he was the antithesis of the ‘too-cool-to-bother-with-you’ vibe experienced by so many at a particular large conglomerate.For this reason, I trust Chris’ knowledge and obvious experience, and he is certainly an asset to this business.

Easily the best music store in New England in selection, price, and service

Cant say enough. Needed to replace my 27 year old bass drum pedals. Wanted to try out many options. They had them. I was given a drum set in a room and the ability to try out many pedals. Thank you!! Im so pleased. Ultimately I left with two new pedals and new hi hats and stand and plenty of 747 drum sticks. You guys seriously rock. Metal!

I liked it, although as a marimbist not much selection for mallet instruments - thats what I get for walking into a drum store

I bought a cymbal here recently - they were super knowledgeable, let me try a bunch, gave great recommendations and then let me put it on a kit and play it with drums. Highly recommended.

I contacted the shop directly and spoke to Chris who was great. He knew exactly what I was looking for and worked up a great price for all of the items I was seeking. Fast delivery. No issues. I will purchase again from them.

I walked in knowing that I wanted to buy one of two different drum sets that I had been researching. Chris and the staff were very accommodating and pulled the specific set I wanted to play out of their storage area. They worked with me to achieve the sound that I wanted from the drums; they put new coated heads on the toms and tweaked the tuning to my preference among other things. They let me jam on it for as long as I wanted, and even let me listen to one of them play the kit to hear what it sounded like from the front. I ended up getting a Gretsch Renown and am very happy to have bought the set through these guys, excellent service.

I was excited there was such a shop in my area as this was unknown to me until I heard thru a friend about this establishment ; I visited before Christmas.Employees were not very helpful ;one of the two I saw -hid -shoving food in his mouth, from a room -over, & behind a drum head box rack, never approaching to assist in the initial 30 mins of entering. The other male offered no effort helping me, or even looking me in the eye as he was behind the front counter ; on a computer working I assume ; to assist me with what drums I was looking for, or to help direct me towards particular sets that would best meet the preferences I sought..I ended up walking out after looking over the very cramped showroom of gorgeous sets, and other well-stocked drum- related accessories,and looking up the set I kinda liked I saw at this shop, ending up purchasing it after talking to an authorized rep.for an hour and having every question answered thoroughly.. I then proceeded to order off their factory direct web site .

Chris and his guys are great. Friendly, inviting, but most importantly passionate and intelligent when it comes to equipment. And they have the goods.

A big thanks to Stephen for helping me find the perfect cymbal for my kit, a Paiste 18 power crash to match up with my 16 power crash. Stephen crunched the numbers, bringing the price down to rock bottom and upped the price for my 18 A-Zildjian trade-in (the 18 Zildjian is a great vintage cymbal but didnt work with the 16 Paiste), maybe it would for you!
