Crowded but its Costco. All check stands were open and checked right out. Checkers here are quick! They have samples again!!

Clockwise, Car Wash, Gas Station, Propane.This is our go to Costco. Its about five minutes farther than Carmel Mountain, but worth the drive. This is a bigger store with a lower body count of shoppers who tend to buy more per trip. The new self checkout means you can usually dash in for one item and be finished and out of the store in just a few minutes.The parking lot is arranged a little differently than most with a separate section close to the front of the store.Usual staff friendliness and attention that you expect from Costco.

I didnt care for this location. I will stick to the Carmel Mountain location as my store. I really cant put my finger on why this store isnt to my liking, but it just doesnt feel right or welcoming.

Ive been a Price Club/Costcoholic for more than three decades. The warehouse in Poway is especially good because of its unusual car wash and propane filling capabilities. There is also a Home Depot next door which can make a trip there even more useful.

Costco has always been my Disneyland. They just never disappoint. The very few times I had to return anything, everyone is extremely courteous and professional....love all the super fresh groceries and the meat/fish/poultry department is amazing. I know Ill be shopping at Costco for a many more years to come.

We love Costco and the people who work there. My family is on a first name basis with many of their staff. They are friendly and help. They will go above and beyond to help you. Recently they were out of stock of Rockin Protein Shakes (the best protein shake I’ve ever tasted). Brian (one of the supervisors) checked several of the the other Costco’s in the area to see if they had some. We ended up buying our protein shakes from the Carmel Mountain Costco. Thank you Brian for helping us find them! Now if only Poway would carry the protein shakes again.

Found great deals, as always but I was hoping to get keto chocolate and asked an employee who checked for me to confirm they did not have. It was nice she took time to check.

Need more parking for drying and detailing. Always full. Sometimes I have to wait to pull into a spot

Called Friday and placed an order of five pizzas for pickup on Sunday at 10 am. Lady confirmed it was the pizza on Tech Center in Poway. Got to Costco about 10:15, said I was there to pickup five pizzas we called in on Friday. Guy at the window says they are coming out now. Paid for them. Lady on the side window says she had no order of five pizzas. She then said we must have called another Costco. I told her it was the one off tech center. She then calls other locations with no success. She offers me a free drink for the inconvenience. Im like no, I just want the pizzas we called in for on Friday for a birthday party. Finally left with the pizzas just after 11:00. Never again.

Wow.Before Covid hit us.This was the best HotDog and Pizza. In SanDiego County.Now.Its old Hot DogsAnd cold Pizza...What the heck???

I was there for TP none. Paper towels none. Cannot come back until next week.

Really busy today and I hope people dont drive their cars like they push their carts. Costco employees were nice and everything was stocked very well. We used the new self checkout which was really quick and easy. Then got a hot dog and churros.

Like every COSTCO store most products are distributed nationally - meaning you will find them at all COSTCO stores in the US - .... however there might be a few exceptions due to regional providers. In this store at POWAY in San Diego County, I was very disappointed of the variety and quality at the butcher shop. They didnt have too many different steaks and the products they have were pinkish in color instead of a the deep red, characteristic of a fresh product. I ended up not buying any steaks this time. On the positive side the parking lot is very spacious, people very friendly and the place is spotless.

It’s a few days before thanksgiving and Costco is a bit busy. If you’re looking for low stress I think evening during the week is best. Happy thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and enjoy your New YearsDerek Wolf

People at cash register are so rude sometimes. I wonder why? Some people are nice also but I dont understand their dry attitude sometimes. I know they are in rush that doesnt mean you are so rough with merchandise. I dont like it but I dont say anything.

Didnt know I could have called ahead to order my Pizza. Waited about 40 minutes after ordering.Did have a bit of trouble trying to order the pizza through the Ordering Kiosk. That didnt work well at all. I went to the Cash Order Window, and everything worked out well. A- =)

Poway location seems a lot less busy than the crowded Carmel Mtn location.

Has many bulk items if needed they are at great price.

People were very nice and the staff followed safety guidelines. However, although customers were wearing masks almost all people dont properly socially distance except in the areas where the floor is marked. They did a great job making sure people distanced themselves. In the eye glass areas.

I must have got here at the right time, not very crowded and I didnt wait long in line.

I love Poway Costco but Im deeply disappointed seeing Marty standing there talking to a women with no mask or shield on. She should not have been permitted to enter without one or the other! 😷

COSTCO Poway CA hasnt 1gal waters for a long time, no Kirkland brand clothes detergent in a tub.

Want to fill your 5 gallon propane tank here? Well guess what, you might get two gallons tops even if totally empty! Apparently the level of incompetence is so high that the the refill station lady says the machine stopped at 1 gallon on the almost empty tank and stopped at 2 gallons on your completely empty tank... so thats all I can fill them. What? Why? ”umm thats all the machine would go to”. Training fail Costco. Imagine getting gas and having that response.Training fail. Costco fail. Total waste of time.

I always enjoy my Costco visits. We live far from any Costco so when we go we usually have a baskets and a flat worth of merchandise. Im giving 4 stars because the cashier was making rude comments under her breathe to her coworker about the amount of stuff we had got. Which I just ignore because yes it is a lot to do. Other then that. I love Costco.

Good place to get clothes at a decent price if you shop the clearance racks. Also, if you have the 30% off coupon or return an Amazon package, theres a one day great coupon! Limited items on the coupons though!

Costco is Costco. It has not a big variety of products but everything is of excellent quality! If you dont like anything you can always return it!

I went to Costco today to pick up a couple items after I got my Gas...when I returned to my car much to my surprise I had a flat tire...the guy taking in the carts saw I was in trouble so he went to the tire shop and a young guy came and drove my car in the shop...I have Never send such an amazing guy..his name was Jeremy B...he was soooooo nice, very knowledgeable and so friendly...I do really appreciate your help and kindness..GOD Bless you my friend, keep up the Good work.

I ordered a patio heater online at Costco for $200. When I went to the warehouse and the same heater was $130. I love the warehouse but buyer beware of online Costco!

What’s the point of ordering over the phone for pickup, if showing up at the designated pick-up window you are told to wait in the 20 person line because we didn’t pay yet. Beautiful logic.

The best time to shop is first thing. This location in poway isnt busy at all unless you go later in the day when everyone else shows up. Worth being there in the morning. Loooove their chicken.

I was dreading going to Costco Poway because it has been crowded the last few times Ive went. I got there around 3:30 and was surprised to find it not so busy. I noted that there were only 2 people at the food court windows with no line. I got my cart and started collecting the items on my smart phone notes. They were out of corn...seems to be a regular thing lately. I had a hard time finding the mashed potatoes which are usually next to the roast beef. My daughter wanted me to pick up these individually wrapped waffle like cookies but I couldnt find anything like the picture she texted me. (She couldnt remember the name). So I enlisted the help of an employee who couldnt find them either. I rang out after going through the snack and bread/ cookie aisle 1 more time. I had everything on my list except corn and cookies. Not a bad day of hunting.

Nice Costco, nice staff, very clean. One of the few Costco that has shaded parking due to big trees. Easy to park since they share several parking lots with Home Depot. Gas station has many 3-slot lanes.

Similar to any other Costco. This one is preferred because the one in Carmel Mountain stopped selling Arrowhead water. As with most Costco parking is a challenge during weekends. There is plenty of parking but on weekends you will most likely end up having to walk a bit. The line to get gas on the weekends also extremely long. There is also a car wash at this Costco. This is a newer Costco built in the last 10 years.

This Costco Tire Center has very poor customer service. I have been twice now and both times was treated poorly to the point that I did not give them my business but went elsewhere. Customer service training for the tire center staff could be very helpful.

Very uncomfortable with door man. I am a senior citizen with a service dog and he stopped me with commands. . You have to have this and that. I had everything, !! I am here to become a member. Not happy not going to name him ☹☹☹☹

Love this Costco. Only problem theres no one to help or guide us to the products. Was difficult to navigate.

They have a stable and cheerful workforce. Some have been with COSTCO for many years. I think because the workers are treated well, paid good salaries and get decent benefits they do a better job. All companies should do that. Even with the tremendous stress on them, they stay kind and efficient. I love shopping there. They are doing very well handling the people waiting in line so it goes quickly.

My favorite location, not always. Crazy busy and staff is always friendly and helpful.

Hannah from merchandise returns handled a return interaction earlier with extreme rudeness and should not be in a customer facing role, let alone customer service. Rather she should be stocking shelves or cooking rotisserie chicken in the back.

Come here on an almost weekly basis. Their meat section is usually well stocked but prices have spiked during the recent epidemic which is understandable. As everyone knows Costco is the go to for large bulk purchases and I usually stock up for two weeks between runs. The Costco gas station here is consistently 30-40 cents lower than surrounding gas stations.

Good price cost

I use the pharmacy at Costco a lot. The line is fast, the clerks are nice, theres no fuss. I like it. Usually the pharmacy is semi near the registers so the only down side is having to cut through the lines if youre not buying anything else. I will continue to use them.

Poway is little higher than other Costcos. Great return policies. They have nice office furniture, They do delivery service locally.Groceries, meds, hearing aid dept, glasses dept., bakery, large and small appliances, TVs, electronics. Books, footware.

Not too crowded, usually well stocked, compared to other stores in San Diego, easy to get in and out of the parking lot.

The lines have been better to nonexistent ... although I do not go there in the morning. Plenty of space when navigating through the store. Paper products are no longer depleted. Appreciate all who got what they needed and left some for the rest of us!! :))

Love Costco. Always clean environment. Staff is 99% friendly. My favorite thing about shopping here is check out at the register. The cashiers focus on you & getting you things rang up in a timely manner. In Other stores they tend to just up and walk off.

Gas lines are so quick

A Great shopping experience as any other Costco would also provide but I did notice that certain items available at other Costco stores werent available here. But this costco does have a car wash and a gas station.
