My truck broke down around 9am and they had the alternator and battery replaced and my truck ready for me to pick up that same day at 4:30. They kept me up to date, game me a fair price, and the customer service was amazing. Awesome experience with these guys. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Everything was great! Prices, care, friendliness. It took 2-3 hours just to get the diagnostic done when we had an appointment, let alone the actual repair so that’s why I took a star off, but I’d rather wait and have good service then have mediocre service Thats fast

This was such a great experience! I was treated so respectfully and kindly. Honda does not share their codes with repair shops outside of dealerships and so they could not fix what was wrong with my car. Because of this, they did not charge me for the diagnostic. They even called around to try to find another place that could fix my car. Unfortunately, only the dealership has the codes around here. They were completely honest and straightforward with me.

The CV Axle on my front passenger side busted and left me without a car. They worked with me to get it in and done as quickly as possible. They were extremely professional and gave me a full report on my car with suggestions on things that I should eventually get fixed/maintained but without pressuring me to do it at that moment. There were no hidden costs and fees or random extra things added to my repair. The cost was reasonable and I definitely plan to go back again. They aren’t here to play anybody. Everyone there is great, especially Kris who was always friendly and willing to help! She was great to work with!

Came in for a safety inspection and the staff seemed very nice.

I paid them $100 to pretty much read the engine codes. Then they estimated $800 dollars of repairs. I ended up fixing the problem with about $120 and 2 hours.

This place is the best place to get general maintenance and repairs. The staff are so friendly and take the time to explain exactly what’s going on without upselling, and the ability to schedule online makes it so easy to get routine work done. I mostly just go for the receptionists though :) They’ve got the best people up front.

Very kind and polite. They really mean it when they say they’re “honest”. Prices are comparatively cheap as well. The only downside was the wait time. What should have been a 30-45 min mount and balance job turned into 3+ hours even when I had an appointment.

While I didnt even take my car to this business, I ended up talking to one of the managers on the phone and had an amazing experience. He helped me understand that my problem wasnt even a problem. He said while we can look at it its probably not an issue. In my mind any business that takes the time and is that honest is worth five stars.

Had them do a diagnostic of my engine and when I came to pick up the car, a small tear in the driver seat had been made much worse, and I got a sorry. Disappointing.

I’d recommend this establishment - I think they live up to their name - Honest. Hard to find in the car repair industry. I scheduled an appt to have the headlight replaced on a Ford Taurus - where it wasn’t just a simple “pull bulb out & replace - more involved plus other items. Somehow when our daughter dropped off the car we weren’t on the schedule BUT they got her right in. We were very well taken care of. They went over & above. Then the scheduler Chris (sp?) called and apologized for the mixup which was not expected but very much appreciated. They took care of the headlight, able to fit it an oil change and checked several other items on the car for us - not selling services not needed but telling us when we might want to check them or address them in the future.

Best service EVER!! I went in for an emission testing but they also filled up my water fluid and tightened the battery for free. Really nice people, good sitting area, cheap and high quality maintenance. Definitely my go-to garage now!

I went in to get a used car that I was considering purchasing checked out. The facility was clean, the employees courteous, and the techs were thorough. The pricing was a little steeper than my usual mechanic, but I didnt mind because they did a fantastic job. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

Several years ago, I bought my dream car- a (used) red Pontiac Grand Prix. I love that car and I want only the best service for it (which, as a used car, it definitely needs from time to time). I have been coming to Honest-1 for several years, and have a good experience with them every single time. They fix whatever needs to be taken care of, and it stays fixed. I value doing business with people who are straightforward and easy to work with, and these guys definitely are. Cheaper than most places in Provo (with a coupon), but took over an hour to do a simple oil change that was scheduled in advance according to their schedule (not the times I requested through their website).

They were so awesome! Although its not the cheapest place around, they were so willing and helpful. My car was having a lot of troubles and I just needed a diagnostics done. They kept me in the loop about everything and were super honest in their thoughts on my car. They also had a free shuttle which was such a relief cause then I didnt have to wait around and pay for an Uber! Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back again!

Honest 1 Auto is a class act, and today they proved it to me even more than previous visits.While changing my oil, one of the cars original plastic components fell apart (mostly due to normal weathering/wear and tear). They replaced the part with a more durable metal component and handed me $30 to compensate for price of that part, simply because it had broken on their watch.I would not have been upset if they charged for the part because it was worn out and Im sure it would have broken if I had been changing the filter myself, but the ownership they took and the honor they had to cover that cost is admirable. I am grateful for both the quality of their work and the integrity of their people. Honest 1 Auto lives up to its name. Theyve solidified this customers loyalty.

I have used Honest One for over 5 years now and my latest experience was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. I called them because a light appeared on my dashboard. I described it has an exclamation mark that was surrounded by parentheses. Bob told me that they could do a brake inspection to find out what was going on. I told him I hadn’t noticed any problems with my brakes but trusted his advice. When I was getting close to getting off work, I called them and they said the light wasn’t on and they couldn’t find any problem. They recommended that I replace my battery because the fluctuating on/off light could be caused by that. I trusted them and told them to replace the battery. I paid and got in my car and the light that I wanted fixed was on. I went back in and another mechanic came out to look at the light and said that was the TPS light. I told him that is what I wanted fixed. They took the car back and said they cleared the system. By the time I got home the light was back on. Now knowing what was wrong, I put air in the tires and the light went off. I feel like they took advantage of my car ignorance and I caught them in the act of ripping me off.Two year ago, I took my car in to get a check engine light fixed and $600 later they fixed it. A day later the light was on again and I took it back. This time it was a $900 fix. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because two different things could breakdown close to each other.Four years ago, I took my car in to get a check engine light fixed. Similar to the event I described, they fixed it but the light was back on within a day. They fixed it for free that time and that act bought a lot of good will towards them.In retrospect, my car has rarely actually been fixed when I have taken it in. In a lot of cases it has actually been in worse shape after they were done with it. Don’t be fooled by the name. These people are not honest.

Looking for a place to fix the ac in my car and I saw Honest 1 Auto Care had a lot of good reviews. Even though it was a 30 min drive away from my home I decided to take my car in based on the online feedback. They were really nice, professional, and fast. Unfortunately I had to replace my ac compressor and condenser, but when they gave me the quote I called my brother in law (a car mechanic) in St. George to see if the price was fair and he said it was a very fair price for the parts and labor. So now my car has ac again, I’m happy, and I feel like I was treated honestly and fairly. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

They kept me updated throughout the whole repair and went out of their way to explain my situation in an honest and objective way. The best place I’ve found in Provo! I had a hard time finding a place where I felt comfortable and safe bringing my two kids, but this place is so so great. Really kind workers. Really clean. Before COVID happened, they had a fun little play area for kids. Hopefully that will come back with time. I’ve only come here for oil changes and emissions testing, but they did a great job with those. Good prices too. Check their website for coupons. Excellent quality of work. Excellent customer service. I 100% recommend them. Ive been a regular customer for ~10 years now. My great experiences and complete trust in them keep me coming back. Ive even moved away from the Provo area and I drive the extra distance because I know they are worth it. They give you straight answers and discuss with you your options in a way you can understand. Back when I was living and working in the area I took advantage of their shuttle option a time or two which was a lifesaver. If you havent tried them yet then you absolutely should!

I’ve had a couple experiences with Bob and Kris here at Honest 1 and I am thoroughly impressed. The work has been done really well, they have been honest with me, they have intelligently diagnosed problems with two cars, one they didn’t even see. They are great to work with and prices are reasonable for the great work done. I don’t often leave reviews but I’ve been really impressed by my experience with them and I’ll be back I’m sure.

I will never go back here. They’re prices were way higher than other places in the area. They charged a $60 inspection which I’ve never had anyone do before. I had to have my car towed to another shop to somewhere more affordable. When I came to get my car I paid them what I owed and they tried to refuse to give me MY CAR keys until the tow truck came. I’ve never dealt with such a manipulative and money seeking car repair shop.

I had a very good experience with Honest Auto. A friend of mine recommended them to me, and I decided to take their advice. I am glad that I did. I have been to Campus Tire Pros in Provo and was not impressed, and I have been to Clegg, and they were eh. This past week made me an Honest Auto Customer for life! Let me tell you why:I took my Jeep in for necessary repairs. My brakes were making noises and I knew I was very overdue for an oil change. When I arrived, I spoke with Bob, the owner, about needing to have all four of my brakes and rotors replaced. He said Ill check them out, and call you with what I think needs to be done. He was super friendly so I laughed and said I knew how bad they were, and to just change all four. About an hour later Bob calls me and says that they have looked at my breaks and he felt only the back needed replaced. He broke down all the costs for me before he did anything. He said it will be $XX for the back brakes for parts and labor. We can do your front brakes, but honestly you have another year on them that would save you $XX today. He then broke down a couple options in between a full brake replacement and gave me their prices. Totally transparent the whole time. When I went back to pick my Jeep up, the price was exactly what he said it would be, and instead of pushing me with all the other things wrong with my vehicle, he told me a couple things that could be a problem in the future, and provided quotes on what they would be if I did need to have them done later. Needless to say in a year when my front brakes need replaced, I will be going back to Honest Auto.One last note to the people who have made it this far. I told Bob I was going to write this review because I was so happy with the service. When have you ever left a car repair shop feeling like that before?? Yeah I hadnt either.

I love going to them for help. They are honest and very clear in what they can accomplish and what they cant. They Do Not Cheat like other auto shops in the town. For me more than getting help right away only to find out I got cheated, Im willing to wait and get the right help for affordable price.They truly live up to their name - HONEST and PROFESSIONAL.

They do a very good job and are friendly. My only issue is that they don’t call you once your vehicle is done. I had to call to confirm when the work would be done, and then had to call again to find out if it was ready.

I had my power steering system replaced here. They were very informative and transparent about the work that would be done, and associated costs. They worked incredibly quickly to finish up the needed repairs, and verified with me that there were no residual issues post-repairs. Ill definitely be coming back here with any future issued or concerns.

Great experience! Very nice people and professional work. When I had to take my car in for a blinking check engine light and some shaking, they said they had openings that Friday but I could bring it in earlier if I wanted and they would work on it as soon as they could. I brought it in on Wednesday and they had all the work finished by Thursday afternoon. Very pleased with the fast service! Would definitely recommend.

Like their name says, very honest. I went in with wheel bearing assembly that had been broken by a worn-out strut that I didnt have the tools to fix. They did a general inspection and found another couple of issues that I already knew about with my car, and didnt try to upsell me on any of them, instead telling me to try to budget them within the next year or so. They only charged me for the work they did, and they even charged me the low end of my estimate. My friend had even left his wallet in the car, and when I came back for it they had it there for me, and nothing was missing. Good, honest people.

They were awesome, very professional, and very thorough. They took the time to check everything, even items that were not related to my initial problem. I appreciate that they werent too quick to jump to conclusions either, because they were able to fix the real problem which ended up being THOUSANDS less than what others suspected it to be. If they had made the suspected repair, I could have wound up right back in need of repair still. Their pricing was more than fair, and we were even able to get my warranty company to cover most of it! Great job, very satisfied. This is actually my second time using them. I had them work on my 2015 BMW X5 a few months ago and this most recent visit was for my 2017 Ford Focus RS. It is both refreshing and reassuring to have mechanics you can trust.

Honest Auto care was one of the best car places I’ve been too! I needed an oil change and had a coupon for Synthetic but I use high mileage. They were more than happy to use the coupon towards a high mileage oil change! They are also the most affordable around! I called Jiffylube for a quote for high mileage and they charge $65. It came out to be $20 cheaper here and they were very friendly!

Had my A/C checked on my wifes car. Found that she had a leak in a hose. They were able to get it fixed quickly and at a reasonable price. I liked them so much that I just dropped my f150 off to get the transmission flushed. They also offer a free shuttle which was very helpful, since my wife works in Salt Lake and goes to work much earlier than I do.

Awesome experience here with my car and my wife’s car. They got the AC fixed on my wife’s car for an awesome price (fixed 2 small leaking valves) and now her car blows ice cold air. Got my brakes checked for free with their coupon due to some squeaking and found out they were a bit glazed with some grooving. They could’ve easily said “You absolutely need this changed” “We recommend getting this fixed ASAP” but they were very up front and said what they could do but that nothing safety wise was wrong with the vehicle and all though they could’ve made some quick cash by doing some things to clean the rotors they said it wasn’t necessary. They live up to their name!
