My wife and I walked into their display store on canyon road today and we noticed that both women were on the phone. I understand that they were both on phones and but in the thirty seconds that we were there couldnt either of the women acknowledge us? A quick hi, wave or nod letting us know that they will be with us soon. I was thinking of spend thousands of dollars there, but evidently Ineed them more than they need me.
We had a very large and complex job, full of tight fits in tricky places, waterfalls, etc. The sales team was easy to work with, responsive, nice, and flexible with all of our scope additions and adjustments until we got to the final layout. Slab selection was easy (we went with granite), and the owner of the company even offered to join us at the granite yard (we used MSI who has a tremendous selection and good discounts with Orca that were passed onto us). The templating was done very well, though I’d have liked to have had the chance to review seam locations and to ensure I got the small overhang I had wanted on my island. There was a bit of disconnect along the way between the schedulers and installers regarding the amount of time they would need, so our job extended a few weeks beyond what we had planned. However, Orca proactively offered us a very nice discount at the end of the job because of the length of the installation, which was a very nice surprise and something I doubt most companies would be so kind as to offer. Yes, there were a few bumps, but they remained committed to serving our needs, and the waterfalls were executed beautifully with mitred edges and continuous patterning.
So went to their nice show room on Canyon. Talked to Stephanie who gave us a long explanation on how they take care of everything. That the owner comes to the slab wholesaler of your choice and makes sure that the slab is okay. Then you get to pick the layout on that slab. Then they cut it in their shop, deliver and install it with no subs. Seal the granite in the shop and again at the install. All I’m thinking is “great, this is going to cost a lot”. Then she emails a quote and I was amazed that the price was better than all my other quotes. Hoyt spent almost an entire Tuesday picking out a slab then came to our house to do the template. Hoyt’s son then does all the fabrication in their shop. The crew came out and installed it that Friday. The crew was amazing! Custom countertops in less than one week... Unheard of. The countertops where flawless. The pic is my 4x10’ island (installed but not finished).
My husband and I went there as they opened on a Monday morning. We met with Stephanie who spent a great deal of time explaining the stone types and processes, what to look for, etc. I picked out the one I liked the most and asked for a bid. My husband provided her with a copy of our plan and I gave her contact information for me. She said she would work up a bid and get back to me either late that day or early the next. That was Monday and this is Friday and, still, not a word from anyone. We have given someone else our money.
I went to their office to review Quartz selections. They were very friendly and helpful. Even providing samples for me to take home to show my wife before coming out for the estimate next week. If we select them to do our work on the kitchen and bathroom countertops, I will provide another rating on our experience.
Low stars for poor customer service. I went in - chose countertop, gave my full kitchen layout and requested a quote.Never heard from anyone, no phone call, no quote, no nothing. Took my money elsewhere.
We stopped by on a Saturday and the lady was very friendly and super nice. However, each time we inquired about pricing all we were told was, expensive. We verbally provided the dims we needed and wrote down our contact information so that she could schedule an appt to view their remnants. One week later she calls (leaves message) stating that she forgot to ask what size we needed. Needless to say, we purchased the slab we needed elsewhere.
Great product selection and advice. Expert preparation and installation. We are very pleased with our counters. It was also a great advantage having them right next to Royal cabinets.
Fantastic experience! We chose Orca to stay with a local merchant. They worked with us to understand all the aspects and options of countertop replacement. We visited some local slab vendors recommended by Orca, and picked out a couple nice Blue Dunes slabs in leather finish (textured, rather than mirror). Orca picked up the slabs and stored them until it came time to cut. Hoyt came to our house and created templates of the countertops, and we talked about things like stove, sink, backsplashes, and edge finishes. I then went to the cut shop and worked with the cutting supervisor to lay out the templates on the slabs, trying to take full advantage of the coolest features of the stone. I had previously removed the old countertops, and prepared the cabinetry. Few days later, the install crew showed up at my house and went to work. They were highly professional, clean and tidy, and respected my home. We selected a sink that was under-mounted, and this cut was done at the shop, and fit perfectly, but the crew took my new stove top unit, and cut the hole for it, making sure of fitment. The countertops are absolutely fabulous, fit flawlessly, and enhance our kitchen. The one seam we had matched up perfectly, and is virtually invisible. My wife and I are super pleased with our countertops. Im still in the process of installing the faucet and stove, and will update with a picture when complete. Orca gets my highest recommendation!!!
The sales person seemed nice and professional..
