I got quoted $349 for a 7 day rental. I ended up getting charged $453 which included fees, taxes, and insurance. The website stated $10 for collision insurance, it does not say it’s $10/day. One of the rear tail lights is out. I called 3 times yesterday during business hours and no one answered. I just called twice today and was waiting over 20 minutes to speak to someone and the call dropped when it was my turn!I called back and was told they can’t fix the tail light. I would need to call roadside assistance. I told the lady I’m not wasting my time on something they should have done. Let’s see how it goes.

Horrible, I would give them a negative store if I could. I booked an appointment to come get my hitch installed 2 weeks ago and I came 4/29th was told that the part didn’t come and said it should be here next week and scheduled me for 5/6. Now they said I’m scheduled for 5/12. If it’s not doable they should’ve have told me. It’s a waste of time going back and forth. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICES AS WELL.

This is one of the better Uhaul locations, mostly because the manager is pretty decent guy whos gone out of his way to help us out in the past. Cant give it 5 stars though because a month ago when I went there they were unable to honor my reservation. We had to cancel the job.

Reserved 6 furniture pads. When I went to pick up the van they said the system showed 96 furniture pads in stock but they had none. Then they tried to sell me new furniture pads. Unhappy.Update on 11/21/2020:Needed to go there again last week but checked with them a day earlier regarding pads. They said they had plenty in stock. They were right. When I went in they had what I had reserved. Good change at U-Haul.

My vehicle was the oldest in their “fleet.” It had been ridden hard. I drove the vehicle a total of 20 miles . Charged my card an additional $86 for gas. Attempted to discuss this with them the next day. I was told the manager would call me that afternoon. Nothing, no call. Beware of deceptive business practices and aged equipment.

DO NOT GO HERE. They will nickel and dime you. Waited in line for an hour only for them to put in the wrong information to complete my reservation. Was told the gas had 1/4 tank left when in fact it was less than that. Not even a 5 min drive in, the low gas indicater went off and we had to stop by a gas station to fill up their truck with our own money. Returned it and I got charged an extra $45 because there was low gas. BUT THATS HOW WE GOT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Absolute terrible experience. I reserved a Uhaul truck and received a confirmation of the date and time of the reservation. When I arrived at the correct time, they informed me that they had rescheduled the reservation without telling me. This was an absolute disaster because I needed that truck for moving day. They told me there was simply nothing that they could do. I had to find an alternative way to move... Dont trust them.
Had a good experiences here. Good services, fast and on point. Going back again TMR to rent a truck again. Again, will go back there and possibly consider buying the Uhaul businesses and be part of the Uhaul family.
I did mobile check in. Oh, what a joke that is. Ended up spending 1.5 hrs at the location to pick up the truck. But when I dropped off at 5:15, they close at 5 so I was 15 minutes late. I met the associate who handled me. She asked me to drop off the key. Next day I get the receipt with another $20 added for after hours drop off. What a rip off. They delaying for hours is acceptable but you cant be a minute late.

Rented a 15 moving truck here and a auto transport. Called the day before pickup and was told its all here I can pick it up as soon as it opens. Get down there the next morning 8am. Stand in line, its 930 by the time I get to the front of the 3 person line and Im told the transport is t here Ill have to drive the truck to a different place to get it. Then he goes outside to check the truck comes back gives me the keys and says its all good. When I get to the truck the key wont go into the ignition so when I go back to tell them he comes out and trys it says o yeah the switch seems to have been taken apart at some point. My main issue is what the was he checking on when he went out there to inspect the truck for 10 minutes?The next truck I got, the tow/haul button was also broken stuck on and couldnt turn it off at this point tho my early packing day had now got to 11am so I took the truck. Only to find out on the way to my new place that the AC was also malfunctioning. It would work for 20 minutes after the car turned on after that all you get is hot air.The service here was trash and the trucks are definitely not inspected like they are required to be. If you are renting from this location for a long haul I recommend walking its less stressful and safer.

The rented me a truck it still had stuff in the back from the last person. And an empty gas tank.
The hitch wiring was installed wrong leading to me inconveniently having to return the day of my move. The manager offered no apology or compensation for the inconvenience and in fact denied that it was his fault, despite him being the one who installed and then corrected it. Terrible customer service. Perhaps had he not smelled of weed the day of the install and been so preoccupied with telling me how much he loves to smoke (information I never asked for) he would have gotten my install right the first try. I would not recommend ANYONE go here.Now that Im reading all the other negative reviews, I see I would have been better off just going somewhere else. This place should just be closed down.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Went to this store at the beginning of September for my upcoming move at the end of October. I needed a 15 truck and an auto transport. I get in there, talk with the guy and he tells me they werent allowed any trailers as they have been stolen in the past (should have walked away after he said that). He said that he could reserve one for me, we would just have to pick it up most likely over in Weymouth. I said that was fine as long as its reserved for me and Im guaranteed to pick it up, as Im moving across the country. He said yes, that shouldnt be a problem.Fast forward to the day before Im supposed to pick everything up and I get a call from them saying that they dont have the auto transport and the closest one is 200 MILES AWAY.I thought thats why I came in a month plus before hand to reserve it?Whats the point of reserving something if you cant fulfill the service on your end?Worst company/place ever.Go to Penske.
The manager there is a great fella. Always very helpful, kind, understanding, knowledgeable etc. Just a real rock star (forgot his name but he is spanish-i think)

I got double charged because my moving out/in activities for a 10 miles trip got delayed due to a faulty furniture dolly I rented from this facility. One caster on the dolly wasn’t rolling properly and because of that most of the furniture was load/unload without any equipment. I tried to explain that to the store representative but he said there is nothing he could do. Definitely an unpleasant experience I would not recomend to friends and relatives. Be aware they won’t refund any charges even though is their fault! Try a different business.
Renting a small truck is easy and cheap.
I reserved a 5X8 trailer on 8/16 to be picked up at 8AM on 8/23. I used the on-line, pre-check in tool to enter details about the vehicle that would be towing this trailer so as to avoid any delays on the morning of pick-up. I received an email confirming my reservation.This morning, my husband went to pick up the trailer and the u-haul associate told him it wasnt available. He was extremely rude and very unhelpful. We reserved this to move our twin daughters into their freshman year of college. The associate, Jean Moise, told my husband the previous people who rented this trailer had not returned it and my husband would have to call U-Haul customer service to resolve. They didnt have any other trailers available. This is UNACCEPTABLE. What good is a reservation if they dont honor them? Dont rent from this location.

Strongly suggest selecting a different location. This was a very poor experience. Head light was out. Truck was dirty. They had the wrong mileage recorded. Nickel and dimed us on gas. The staff was unfriendly and made for a rather unpleasant experience. Awful establishment!!Serious, drive to a different location!!! Wish I could give black negative stars.
Employees all acted like it was there first day..Could answer easy question about boxes. And very slow working the computer in checkout. Was ignore for a few minutes because each employee was hoping the other would help us. Sad U-Haul.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. First off Uhaul its self is a disorganized mess. I called these guys a little over a week before I had to move to reserve a 20 foot one way truck. In between when I called and had to move I called them several times. They assured me that they would be able to fulfill my reservation. So fast forward to the day before I had to move and I get a call from one of their employees to notify me that they dont ever have 20 foot one way trucks and that they would have to cancel my reservation. They left me with no recourse and 1 day to find another truck. Now I cant get a truck until 10am the day I need to move. Its not the size I need and now Im paying 2 people to sit at my house for 2 hours while I go get the truck at another location . You guys are the worst!! Thank for making my move that much more stressful!!

The wait time was way too long!We had an appointment for rental at 10am, got there 20 minutes early, and didnt drive off their lot until close to 11am!Frustrating when youre moving and your friends and family are being held up, too!
Dont forget to check gas tank when you rent the van. Unfortunately i didnt check it. They said it is full. But after only 15 mile I paid 27$ for gas. And employee said its normal. What?
Please avoid this place. They do reservations without having the vehicles to rent. The employees are rude and really don’t care about you. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Helpful, polite staff. Good selection of moving supplies readily available to purchase in the store. Relatively clean cab of rented truck, and bed/storage area. Felt confident moving my furniture inside. The vehicles alignment could have definitely afforded to be serviced, it was very shaky and loud driving down the highway - but we made it safely.Rates are kind of crazy expensive, but perhaps I didn’t investigate the options well enough. I don’t remember ever paying the daily $19.99 rate for the 10ft truck in addition to about $1 per mile traveled. We were moving from Quincy to the Cape, brought a truckload down and came back to Quincy with the truck to drop off (maybe it would have made sense to drop off on Cape after unloading...)
Quite possibly the worst truck rental experience possible-Received truck on empty gas tank. Was told if I returned it filled to 1/4 tank I would receive a $30 credit. Never received the credit-Returned the truck after 5 hours of my scheduled 8. I get a call 2 days later asking me where the truck is. I told them I returned it the same day. Tell me that they dont have it.-Charged my account for 2 days of rental, 2 days of insurance, no gas credit, told i never returned the truck, given massive amounts of attitude.Its one thing to mess up a clients receipt, its another thing to mess it up and then give them an attitude about it.Do not use this place

Reserved online so I could get in and out. Only one employee here and a crack addict trying to get a uhaul. No other employees. Been in line 30 minutes with a confirmation. Still standing in line cause this store is understaffed and no one seems to care at all. Don’t come here go to Weymouth or anywhere else they are brain dead.

I have been using u-haul trucks, trailers and supplies for YEARS, and never had a bad experience with them until going to this u-haul location. I was picking up a truck to move into my new house, but I was running on a tight schedule and wanted to confirm I was going to the correct store... so, first and foremost I called them up to confirm the appointment, I apologized that I was running late as the blizzard which just hit New England canceled my flight from the west coast, it was January 5th, 2018. I ended up flying into PA, and driving up to MA, and was less than 2 hours late (yet I still started off by being a good customer and apologizing), I was then told they didnt have my truck. So, I responded and again apologized for wasting their time. I then checked my reservation, I had called the correct location the first time, at this point the u-haul representive has been highly unprofessional and rude, but I called them back to make sure they had my truck. I started off by giving him my confirmation number and explicitly asking if they had that length truck available. He now tells me that truck has been rented by someone else, and that I lost my reservation because I was late... so, I now show up as to not have this conversation over the phone... when I arrive, the truck is covered in snow, and their lot was FULL of trucks. This particular representative then acted like he was doing me a favor and I owed him my gratitude or something. What? Do you want a pat on the back for showing up to work when it snowed? You live in New england. Grow up. Well, I had also rented a dolly, for moving my furniture, etc... he then said that was also rented to someone else. At this point, I am livid. I had a confirmation number explicitly stating I was renting this items through the following day and has them for 24 hours. He then chimed in, no, you only have 22 hours. Your 2 hours late.#RageQuitIf I was not already running 2 hours late and have less than 36 hours to move all of my stuff out of my apartment the day(s) after a massive blizzard, I would have walked out of u-haul to never spend another penny with them again, but I decided I was better off negotiating with this dense indivual and convincing them they were better off just letting me take the freaking truck and is settle up with them the follow day (they wanted to charge me extra for things, and late fees, etc...). Well, the following day, I have now moved into my house on little to no sleep, in 22 hours as I was told I had to have the truck back by X time. I was running like 15 minutes late, and really didnt want to pay a late fee. Well, I called up u-haul to plead not to be charged a late fee, and the 2nd representative who picked up the phone, very politely asked why I thought I was running late... he said you still have roughly 2 hours, no rush.U-haul - your employee that was working on the first shift, cost you some business, I do not think I will ever work with you again. They were so incredibly rude and made statements completely contrary to what the representative said the following day.

Got 24 hr truck when arrived it was for 6 hrs they didnt care
The people at this location are not bad theyre pretty helpful, but it looks like some of them are unexperienced, they had to call the manager often. But this didnt really piss me off, it can happen, what made me give them this rating is the technical condition of the trucks.Its clear that nobody does any technical inspection after the customer returns the vehicle, or they just dont care about fixing it. The first 15 ft truck they gave me lacked engine power and the mirrors were stuck with rust, so I couldnt even adjust them. The key was broken at the handle and had no tag, very easy to lose. The truck didt have a dolly inside, too. But this wasnt the worst thing. When I drove it to my house to start loading, I noticed it was handling strangely. When I parked it, I discovered what was wrong about it at once. The outer right rear tire (it has dual wheels) was flat! The rim was damaged badly and had rust on it, so obviously some time ago somebody who never drove anything larger than a sedan used this truck be and didnt make one of the corners, as the wheel had sidewall damage. And nobody noticed it! Of course, I didnt load it because its absolutely unsafe. I called them and returned the truck. To give them some credit, they gave me the supplies for free for this inconvenience. Well, they gave me a different truck. Guess what? It also had critical sidewall damage on the same wheel, a very deep cut and the cord was showing through. I had to move so I had to take it, while they said its all right (but of course it isnt, tires with such damage are dangerous junk, but they didnt care). When I started it, I found that it had a Check Engine light on (thats probably why it had such horrible MPG about 6.5). Next, I found that the drivers door was very difficult to close completely, you had to slam it with all your strength, otherwise it left a crack and the wind was whistling terribly while driving, not mentioning the loss of heat. But again, the real fun was ahead! When it got dark and I had to turn on the lights, I discovered that the damn thing had dashboard lights out! So I could only see the needles, but not the gauges. Either drive with the cab light on all the time, or try to guess your speed, gas level etc. Oh, and the roof had a dent from the previous mover, which made a small hole, and it was really good that it didnt rain because otherwise my belongings could get wet. Let me tell you, Im a mechanic by MOS, and this is not how a reputable company maintains their vehicles. Luckily, Im a good driver and have experience with big trucks in the military, so I made it there and back safely, but I definitely will think more than twice before using U-Haul again.On a side note, why doesnt the company purchase some diesel trucks? The fuel mileage will be way better. In my opinion, its stupid to use gasoline vehicles for such purposes. Of course, its all on the customer, I know...
Too crowded, with limited staff on weekends. Make sure tou add 30 mins for waiting. Quality of service is fair, and expect gasoline indications on your rental to be wrong as parking lot is on a slope

We reserved 1 month ahead, arrived on time to pick up, but the staff told us there are no trucks available for us. The reason is we were put on hold (which should not be since we reserved 1 month ahead ). The staff tried other store but could not find anything. We were told to call customer service. Our moving plan is messed up because of this. Very disappointed.
Had to change my review from 5stars a yr ago to 2.5stars today!Last yr- The guy who manages the place is a good dude, a real soldier. Took care of the few minor issues we had with the truck. Recently reserved a 20ft truck- uhaul online guaranteed availability- got there and got checked out & when directed 2wards vehicle it was a 15ft- er!Got charged extra for the 20ft. Truck. Employee mentioned nothing bout not having a 20ft & our reservations accuracy. When tried to rectify situation there was no apology beyond anything rote & they just called other uhauls 4 a 20ft.When right truck was found they just said- Weymouth has one! At this point was already late for our job. We took 55min mbta ride there (train&bus&walk) and Weymouth is not easy or quick 2get2 via mbta. No offer of a uber over, no genuineness in their apology about being wrong or even trying 2 pass off a 15ft truck for a 20. *Uhaul GUARATEES 50$$ for not having right truck @locale u reserved it at* Thats what the ads say! We rent alot of trucks and have had similar thing happen about 4-5×ma x out of literally 3-400+ rentals.We HAVE NEVER got the 50$ they promise n such a circumstance. They always just tell u which uhaul might have right truck n let us retrieve @own expense! We get on phone wt corporate n literally an hr later when on hold for 4th×- the right truck will finally appear & they r off the hook n its just us who r 2hrs late n lost bunch $. So idk uhaul is a good company & its only bn 1-2% of times truck not available n thats pretty damn good but its not cool when such a time does happen n instead of immediately paying out the 50$ they him-haw-delay-dropcall-transfer 2 3 other ppl etc.. By time that right or almost right truck arrives on the lot, the stress n aggravation of type of delay experienced becomes 2ndary 2 just taking the truck n getting the f out of there.Anyway paid 12$ for uber 2 Weymouth n altho we rejected the vehicle insurance offered & even signed specific waiver- got charged on it anyway! But thats a review for Weymouth uhaul not Quincy.The employees r nice enough & this quite possibly an aberration but I just wish they gave 20% more empathy or even an empty vocalization of their regret or an offer of even 5$ towards an uber 4 the inconvenience.Im open minded n willing 2 giv ppl chances so hopefully i can edit this review next time n give them better review
