They due great work at what I would say low cost. I’ve never been asked to do a $500 super tune-up like at university BP in Radford of course that was back in 2001. And they never tried to put a used exhaust on my car and say it’s new like that god fairing man across the bridge in Fairlawn. I’ve also have different types of cars over the year but same great result when I turn the car on. Hope you guys stick around for years to come

Im a big fan of Toby and The Car Doctors. They are one of a handful of shops I trust to work on my fleet of vehicles. I dont hesitate to take my Audi, Land Rover, and VW to them for service. The Car Doctors employs very intelligent and competent mechanics. Their labor rate is also competitive with the market, and I trust them to provide me with transparent feedback on what repairs are needed while getting the work done in appropriate timeframes. Top notch shop that will not be intimidated by performance or complicated over engineered imports.

These guys are great. They won’t have you paying for things you don’t need to or anything like that. They explain to you so that you actually understand what’s going on with your vehicle. Prices are always very reasonable. Typically fast service too.

I used to think these guys were ok, but not anymore. Nowadays this place will charge $75 for diagnostics tests that advanced auto will run for free as a first step. That should tell you what kind of service you are going to get here - Im not saying it isnt complete and quality work - but in my experience you are going to pay up for it. I took a known issue to them and was still charged an hour of labor for a couple of tests that came back fine... only to be told the problem might be exactly what I said it was. They also suggested fuel additives....I really cant say anymore than that. Again, I cant complain about the quality, but Ive got an older car Im just trying to keep running - Ill go to Donnies down the road in the future.

Had a warning light and very annoying alarm going off on my car after I serviced the brakes. Called the dealer and it was going to be 3 weeks before they could look at it. I called Bruce and he told me to bring it right over. They had it fixed and me back on the road within an hour. Big thanks Toby and his team for getting me going again so quickly.

Drive there all the way from Blacksburg just to feel confident in my repair. Super nice and professional people. Fair price. Well worth the 30 minute drive.

Had our inspection done. Tgey were very accommodating and squeezed me in. I needed 2 light bulbs replaced, and they charged fairly unlike other stations Ive experienced in the past.

Had a great experience with Toby and staff. Im a car guy, so I am a bit hesitant to take my cars to just anyone. Toby was able to fit me in that afternoon. Knowledgable mechanics and reasonable pricing. Did observe that Toby was going the extra mile to help another client of his that had some trouble with mice nests blocking the A/C evaporator. Not sure how it all worked out, but he definitely had to make a huge improvement with all that he removed.

The Car Doctors installed a cadiletic converter on my 99 Dodge truck the price was fair and it runs better...

Honest mechanics, got my 03 4runner master cylinder replaced for a reasonable price. There were some problems with the install because of a faulty part which I supplied but they got it all sorted out and in working order. Quick repair time too, after I got the part they had it fixed within a day or two even with my problems. Only complaint I have is my fluid reservoir was overflowing with fluid and I didnt notice until I finished a 3 hour drive back home after getting the car. No big deal because I siphoned it out, but had I not checked that may have caused a problem/leak.

Went to have 2 tires replaced and the first scheduled day arrived they never received the tires and never even noticed they were missing my tires till the day scheduled. Then had to reschedule to the next day I had to work at 4:30 and was assured that a 2:00 appointment would be no issue I was late to work after waiting 2 hours for 2 tires to be changed. All while being quoted a price that was a lie and quoted a time frame that was also a lie.Almost forgot to mention I was charged for a lugnut they broke. Terrible visit.

Its hard to give a garage 5 stars, but these guys earned it. I trust them and the prices are reasonable. I believe them to be honest, I have dealt with them often.

Finally an auto shop that does not try to steal from you. They are honest and great at their jobs. Fair prices and friendly service that will keep me coming back. Though I live in Blacksburg I will never use another shop except Car Doctors, I make the trip for any of my car needs, they are worth it.

Toby is probably the most honest mechanic Ive ever done business with, and works fast too. He seems to actually care about his job. Had a freeze plug replaced and rear drums repaired without any issue. Couldnt recommend him more.

Disable senior citizen and Veteran:My father bought and takes his vehicle here to get serviced but not after the bad and unprofessional experience by Jody and shop employees. My fathers tire went flat while in movement and the reason is because of the valve stem was cheap and not the correct one for the truck. This is the third one that had to be replaced because the valve stem would bust or leak air ( not by them but by another garage ). By this result my father had to drive it to get it off the road. Jody says that the reason is because the tire was ran with low tire pressure ( no kidding ) note: My father just had the truck state inspected hours before the flat and they added tire pressure as well. Jody stated that he was not going to replace the tire which have more than 90% tread on the tires. The Car Doctor ( Jody) should be held responsible: they should replace the tire with no cost to the customer as a warranty.

I brought my vehicle to Car Doctors to repair rusted fuel lines, what was returned to me was a car with a broken windshield and mechanics scratching their head refusing it was their fault. My windshield did not have any cracks prior to them working on my car. Do not go here, people who refuse their mistakes should not be trusted.

I have used the services of the Car Doctors in Radford for over five years now and give them my highest recommendation.I am always, and I mean - always, impressed by the professionalism, transparency (of exactly what repairs need to be done and why and if they can be done later due to budget constraints) and good communication that the Car Doctors have consistently exhibited!What really matters to me, as a budget-conscious customer (arent we all!) is two things:1. honest opinion and diagnosis of whatever the problem is with my vehicle, and2. that the work performed be done at the highest level of workmanship and that I be charged a fair amount for honest amount of work.After over a dozen vehicle-repair trips (I have had them service/repair my honda civic, my honda CRV, my Ford Camper van and my honda motorcycle), never have I had any reason to doubt the integrity, professionalism and thoroughness of the work the Car Doctors performed.Thank you Car Doctors (Bruce, Toby, Tony and Cory), you guys are the best and I wouldnt even think of taking my vehicle to anyone else.Keep up the great work. Wow! What an easy, pleasant experience. After another local NAPA Service center in Christiansburg destroyed my Volkswagen trying to install a clutch, I searched for another NAPA Center to repair it under warranty. Toby and the rest of the staff at the Car Doctors stepped up to the plate. I had my car towed from Blacksburg to Car Doctors, and spoke with a gentleman named Bruce who went out of his way to make sure that I was kept in the know, and even allowed me to choose which parts I preferred the car to be repaired with (A new transmission straight from Volkswagen!). Being a car guy myself, the lead mechanic, Toby, took the time to allow me to look at what had been damaged. Over all, the Car Doctors saved me time and money, the original reason I allowed someone else to change my clutch. They were honest and straight-forward throughout the whole process. Bruce and Toby fixed the wrongs done to me by the other shop, and were friendly, honest, and genuine throughout the whole process. Way to go guys!
