This place was great they were able to get my car in quickly and did a great job. They were friendly, kept me updated during the process and made it super easy. I had my car back in less than a week. Every other shop I called were booking weeks out. I would use them again.

I recently brought my car in to be repaired after a traffic collision. The damage was fairly extensive and it was an out-of-pocket pay situation so I was looking for a reasonable price. This is the best shop in Redding, not only was the quote for repairs extremely reasonable for out of pocket expenses but the work is amazing. Masco did a great job repairing and painting a difficult body panel dent. No sanding scratches, perfect paint match, and worked with my insurance company well.

I have never been through a process of processing a claim for a vehicle. Michelle was very kind,h me through everything! The body work was phenomenal,f customer service was great,communication was excellent! I dont think I will ever take my vehicles to a different repair office! We even got a paint job separate and it looks fantastic!

I chose Maaco because of the reasonable price and previous excellent service. My 2014 Prius was repaired quickly and per my request. There was no pressure to “up-sell” me for a more thorough job. I have a used car lot here in town and I have had many things painted here. They have done spot painting and dent repair and painted hoods and bumpers. they always match them real good so you cant tell where they painted. They also have some good deals on cheaper full complete paint jobs and they can do really high end nice jobs also, for a lot less then the other guys in town. I really like the owners they are real nice family people. If your thinking about having some paint or body work done, check them out I recommend them. Also they are pretty fast too.

I got in a pretty bad fender bender in my Honda Civic, and due to the circumstances had to pay out of pocket. Macco quoted me much less than any other shop, and the final cost was the same as quoted. My car had a custom paint color, and originally Michelle stated they would try and get it close - but they nailed it, it matches perfectly. Their repairs/ paint took less time than quoted as well. While I hope to never need their services again, Macco Redding would be my first stop should I.

Maaco is the best in town. I was recently in a bad fender bender and have never been through the insurance claim process before. I went to a different body shop and they quoted me a number that was undoable for the insurance and my car would’ve resulted in a total loss. Then I came across Maaco & I’m so grateful I did! The folks here were friendly, courteous, helpful, and perfectly willing to get on the same page as me. I needed some scratch and dent and a bit of bent-door-skin work done on a car with 170,000 miles on it (with probably 130,000 to go). I wasnt after showroom quality, I just wanted my car to be presentable. I went to a non-Maaco shop and got quoted over $10,000 for this car that cost me $17,000 brand-new.The nice folks at Maaco understood that I was after presentable not perfect, and quoted me a touch over $2,000. They gave it back to me at very nearly showroom quality. I did not recognize my car in their lot when I walked past it, it had been so long since it was that nice-looking. We had agreed that the repair of the bent door-skin would not be perfect, but the repair is so clean, I cannot tell that it was ever damaged.The folks at Maaco gave me a fair price, and then exceeded my expectations with what they delivered. The only downside is that now I cant just kick my door shut when my hands are full, anymore -- the car looks too nice!

I took my fiance’s car to macco to get it painted, I’ve heard good and bad things about macco but let me tell you, Redding macco is awesome! They quoted me for all the body damage and I told them to take some stuff off quote because I couldn’t afford it. They took off hail damage on roof and hood and a big dent on rocker panel, but when I received the car back I noticed they did the body repair anyway, I asked how much extra it’s going to cost because I wasn’t quoted for it and they said don’t worry about it we wanted it to be perfect for you! Very happy with the job they did And I will definitely be coming back for any future body repairs or paint jobs!

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received at Maaco in Redding. I have a 94 Dodge Ram and the factory paint was literally falling off and the exposed metal was beginning to rust. They explained the entire process- from the preparation of the metal to the actual application of the paint. I wrecked my car in the recent snowstorm went to a couple different shops who didn’t impress me and didn’t seem my car was wrecked enough for them to deal with. MAACO took the time to look at it even Popped the hood and found a cracked headlamp due to the impact they even cleaned the other lens on the other side to make it pretty like new. My car is pretty once again even better looking now than before I bought it. I highly recommend MAACO, Michelle and her posse. They straightened it and refinished it so well that you cannot tell where the original vehicle ends and the new work begins! Right front fender was a different color, they said it was a different “shade” and wouldn’t fix it. Paint started peeling after a year when I took it back they said it should have been prepped better, I said you prepped it, he said I should have paid them more, they’d have done a better job. Stay away from them.

Not quite sure how to rate this company without it seeming like slander. Its a husband & wife operation, the wife being the somewhat rude and difficult to communicate with receptionist. We have a 2 tone truck; they were only supposed to paint one of the colors, but they painted the whole truck the same color, and the beading where the one color was to end and the other to begin was very visible. The one color looks great, but not what we asked for; I just dont think she understood our request. The emblems that had been removed for painting were put back on crooked and is very noticable. My suggestion to anyone that is considering a paintjob here show them pictures of what you want your vehicles to look like after its painted.

Not what is advertised! Not all paints are considered in the 299.00 paint job! Really theres no such thing as a 299.00 paint job as far as i could see. 600.00 to just paint the sides of my car! Outrageous!

I got the budget enamel paint job it turned out perfect I would trust them with my other car

Had the premium paint job done on my 2002 Honda about 1 1/2 yrs. ago. Molding and hdwre. R&R for paint leaks. 5 yr. warranty. Took care of the serious sun burns and paint flecks. Have had two prof details since then and both said it was a solid job. So far looks very good.

I struggled to post....but here it goes. I called in advance, spoke to a friendley lady. I just bought a shell off craigslist and wanted it color matched to my truck. Quote was 450.00 for enamel or 750.00 for 2 stage. When I got there all friendley and crew hopped into action and took my shell off and rolled it to the back. The lady (I am guessing co owner with husband based on other posts) told me to come to the back. She started pointing at scratches and very small chips and said they will paint over those chips and scratches, but they will show. I asked, dont you stand it before you paint it...she said it needs body work because it is fiberglass. She calls the body man over and they tell me 3 hour of body labor wich is another 450.00????? For scratches and chips at the very bottom edges??? I asked why didnt they say this before they took it off my truck??? I felt like I was at Camping World or a local car dealer where they got me in and started the ad-ons. I told them to load my camper back on. The Husband or co-owner came out and rationalized and apologized,,,not sure the wife is the right person for the job....tough one for him...This didnt feel like a good family business. Felt like If it was some less familar with body work would be taken advantage of. BTW, I just took it down the road, 450.00 2 stage and all scratches and chips will be taken care of

I am giving this shop a generous 4 stars because overall the paint is good. HOWEVER, there is some not so good here. First, and most important, know be sure to know what questions to ask because the information will not be given if you dont ask the right questions. Your window moulding will NOT be removed unless you request it, and this will be an extra $40 per window. If you dont have this done you will see a strip of the old paint color below the moulding. Also, be sure you check THROUGHLY inside and out of car upon pickup to make sure everything was put back e.g.. door floor moldings, antennas for xm or whatever, (neither of these were put back on my car) Also, you will NOT get a little touch up paint for chips that DO occur on highway driving. You will need to ask for this at the time you write up the contract, and it is an extra charge. I never thought of this and now since I live far away from the shop I will need to go on a hunt locally for this item. And you will need this. You just need to be on your toes, because if you dont think of these things no one there is going to suggest any of it.

Maaco did a great job at fixing our car after someone had hit us in a hit and run. Looking at the car now, it looks like the parts and paint are factory originals. The only issue I had was the low communication between when we dropped off the car and picked it up.

I was very surprised at how well they kept on checking up with me on the status of my car. I was very pleased.

I weighed my conscience on this review. I dont want anyone else to go thru my sad experience, so concern for others won out. So sadly my gorgeous dark teal malibu went from teal to very dark forest green with metal flake. my husband sold his second vehicle to paint my car. After another company painted the roof of my car (due to scatches from a bad storm) they sanded the top coat so much it left big white spots all over the roof. so we tried MAACO for a complete paint job. We chose the 4 year warranty paint system. when I picked up my car the center console fell apart in a million pieces. (MAACO broke it and said nothing.) After I called them they replaced it from one of their friends (used). When we paid the invoice, then we were told it is a prorated warranty.My beautiful teal malibu is no more. I am so sad. Now in my mind it is an ugly dark (almost black) forest green. I dont want to make a legal issue of it because my husband paid about $1500 for the job. I dont want to hurt his feelings. Now my car it just a car.And the lady at the desk everyone refer to is the owner. Very Rude personI tried to upload pics of before and after. so if you see a teal malibu with door decal that was the original. The very blurry dark green back of the car pic is the horrible color after. I had the wrong shutter speed on the camera

I had to ask a painter to find their office personnel, and when I asked if they could repair my bent door hinge the lady said to just buy new hinges.When I said they werent available for my truck she just shrugged her shoulders.Then I proceeded to tell her it was such a minor repair that I could do it myself, I just wanted a professional with experience to do it and she insisted that I buy new hinges.Never again will I return.

After talking to many unhappy customers and some employees their & actually witnessing it for my self how they treat customers an their vehicles I was very disappointed to learn how the place really worked. They like to pick ur car apart & mark up every bit of body damage an chip repairs then turn around & corners an not even do the work you ur paying for, & the quality shows it! Doesnt matter 500$ or 2000$ job the quality just wont be their regardless!!! Maaco actually excuse their lack of professionalism in writing. MAACO IN REDDING IS A PRODUCTION PAINT COMPANY NOT A CUSTOM PAINT & BODY SHOP & Maaco reserves the right to set the level of workmanship...witch is the lowest of low to save time & money!The lady Michelle that does estimates is very rude & totally unprofessional. Seems like she doesnt have a clue what she is talking about & she wont let u argue that & shes very hard to understand. Ask for Gary in their tho he is awesome, great guy an very easy to work with & understand.If you do get a Maaco paint job really just take the time to look at ur paint job an point out the flaws they try and hide & dont except it, till they get it right!I understand u cant get a show room paint job for 500$ but it should always be a professional job without runs,dirt, or fisheyes. if your paying a business for a trade, it should always be to the best of their ability without messing up someones car & excusing their negligence with the fact that their a production paint company not a custom body shop. Poor quality work, and our brand new civic was returned with a large gouge in the hood, which they covered with touch up paint and denied. The rear bumper was being repaired! The owner is dishonest. Get what u pay for I guess. Never again.
