This place is great (if a bit poorly organized), a good window into a past many of us are nostalgic for. They have a good but rotating selection, and buy and sell. The store is 30 years old same as me, and times are hard for retail these days but i hope it survives... these places are more important than museums for the segments of culture and time they represent, and often way more fun.

This place is GREAT!!!! Im from Oregon. This was one of the first places I wanted to go. The staff is so nice. I found more than I was looking for. I found some of the music I havent been able to find, and a few movies I havent seen in store on line or Netflix. Great store!!! They also have PlayStation games.

The guy in there was nice enough and they were playing good music Led Zeppelin and so you know you said pick your best pray to albums and bring them in and Ill take a look at it so when I get back in town thats what Ill do

I went into this store to see if they were interested is buying video games and the guy there was rude and told me i waisted his time. There were no other customers in the store. I will not recommed this store to anyone. He did not want to take the time to hook up the console i brought it. If he did not want to take the time to test merchendise then why even have a store?

I could spend hours here at Bog Bean Books n More. A must for music lovers and gamers on a budget. You can even bring that CD or Game that you are just over and trade it n a little cash for something new to you or an old favorite you haven seen or heard in a while. The ambiance is oh so inviting, I highly recomend stopping by.

Ive been going to this place since I was a child. It is a great spot for people who truly love music, movie, games, books, etc. They have fair prices and offer a return period for most items, so if you dont like it you can exchange the purchase within a week or so. The staff are mostly quite knowledgeable and willing to help and offer advice whenever needed. Hope this store stays forever.

Donated some books and the dude working the register was super stoked and handed me 5 bucks and ley me snag a free item. Even though I was donating them. This was also my first visit of this store and I think I found my new local haunt. Im a huge vhs and retro game nerd, I felt like I was home.

This place gave me the creeps, I got creeped out from the minute I walked in the door. I went in to see if I could exchange VHS like it said they do on their Facebook and the guy wasnt very helpful he didnt know what he was talking about and kept talking as if I was looking for VHS. I would not ever go back there.

Bought a movie, had scratches, to which I mentioned, older gentleman states oh its dirty & proceeds to swirl it around on his shirt, says there, just like new. I stated thats NOT how you clean a DVD, SURE it is. I bought it against my better judgement as Id been wanting (& looking for) this movie for awhile. Needless to say it froze up at one point, so I called to ask what could be done, he says I remember you, & I find it interesting out of the 7 months Ive been working here youre the ONLY one with a problem. It most likely your player. Maybe you should just buy new...well exchange it or whatever you want to do. Then hung up on me.THAT in my opinion is NOT how to handle a customer, especially since all I wanted was for them to resurface the dvd since they have the machine to do so.And NO $8 for a USED dvd is NOT a good price. However I didnt want to wait 2-3 weeks for shipping so I paid more than I wouldve online.And I dont feel this fella is in the right job, he has ZERO customer service skills.

Been going here for decades, however on my last visit, they were quite disorganized. Many of the items did not have price tags. I bought two DVD movies for my nephews birthday, but they could not find the discs (they display the cases, but the discs are stored behind the counter to prevent a-holes from ripping them off).

I used to love coming to bog beans. Iw would be able to trade my movies in to get some new games. BUT NOW... YOU CAN ONLY TRADE MOVIES FOR MOVIES, GAMES FOR GAMES, I CANT EVEN USE MY IN STORE CREDIT FOR ANYTHING ELSE. SORRY BOG BEANS. IM GONNA MISS YOU.

An interesting place for this area! There was a large selection of games and music over many genres. Everything was clean and clearly labeled. Staff was low pressure and allowed for easy browsing. Seems like a fun place for frequent visits to keep up on changing inventory. Pricing seemed pretty fair to me.

My 11 year old son and I love coming in. He bought his first albums there a few years back and we go there a few times a month to see whats new. For his birthday the other day he asked for a Bog Bean gift certificate. Ive found lots of good stuff and treasures there since I started going in the mid 90s

This place has a lot of different and unique items. But everytime I go in there the staff acts to cool to help you. If you ask them a question about anything they act like you are bothering them. I really like the store but customer service is lacking.

Cool little shop in downtown, I’ve scored many records here for a reasonable price. They have lots of other cool random “blast from the past” type stuff. Worth taking a walk through at the least.

I moved up here the end of 2010/2011 and was introduced to bog bean by my brother and iv been going there every since. Great staff, great stull and all around great place.

I went on my birthday to just look around and they ended up giving me a free CD after they found out. Super generous and it meant a lot. Very nice people and I will definitely be back.

Walked in with the kids looking for books and promptly walked right back out. We didnt see very many books--mostly movie---and much of their selection is of the horror genre. My kids felt uncomfortable there and so did I. The people standing at the counter were nice enough--greeted us as we came in and said goodbye as we left.

My husband and myself came in when we were visiting from Washington. The store was nicely set up and well priced. We walked in and greeted immediately. The gentleman talked with us about different things as we picked out a great selection. I asked about kids books and was kindly given one for my daughter. Then came time to pay. We had 11-17 items and he gave us a great deal!! We scored nemo Dreamland for like 8$!! Down here they want close to 15$! That alone was amazing. Only thing I did wrong was forget to come back before we left town!! Def. Recommended to any game collector.

Great place to buy used dvds, cds, video games and records. The staff is extremely friendly and when they have the time if they arent too busy, to help suggest other items that are similar to what youre looking for. Very knowledgeable about most of the artist and genre that they have in stock. If you live in the area it is wise to go there frequently because they always getting something new in. Check out there Instagram, they post new record that they just got in.

The guy I dealt with this morning was very rude to me. I am guessing most of these reviews are fake. They do not test their electronic products before putting them out for sale. They will charge you top dollar for used products and only give you 3 days to return for STORE CREDIT. I bought a 90$ Ipod mini that has a battery that will not hold a charge and the AUX input does not work. I was out of town and took it back in and the guy was a total jackass. Just acted like I was just wasting his time. They charge too much money for basically everything in there . They are selling comics for 3 dollars plus that I have found most other places like this for only a dollar. This is one small example of the unfair prices. I will be shopping online for any further products that I would have sought out there. Guaranteed to find better deals without worrying about having to deal with exchange in the next THREE DAYS.

This place is off the hook, Im an avid collector of vintage videogames and stop by once a month to see there stock, they only take in the best quality stuff and I never worry about getting fake or broken console or games the price is always fair and reasonable. the staff is very chill and awesome to just chat with. Ive been going to this place from my early childhood, so every time I visit it brings back memories :)The have a very welcoming environment, keeping it classic with abstract psychedelic art and a robust test in music. Trust me when i say this place will make u feel at peace when looking for that long lost mix tape or album u once had10/10 all around will always be a returning customer

It was a very good experience for me. They recently changed their policy on dvds. Now, when you take your own dvds in to sell, they will only offer in store credit. But worked out for me.

I love going here to add to my game collection. The employees are very friendly and helpful in regards to what they have. Their stock changes regularly so I try to stop by anytime I am in Redding.

Bogbean is a unique store in Redding and its one of the few that can do this .You usually see this kind of stories in the big cities but Reddings lucky enough to have them..... And what are they....?¿?A very of used music DVD games and more type store.if youre trying to save some cash and get some good entertainment this is a place to go.....and their stuff is not beat up.they actually have good quality stuffand its next to New .so if you want to get that awesome movie thats probably 20 bucks go there and get it for 10 or 5 instead you just cant beat the deals.

Theres not many places like this around anymore. I love going in and browsing through their CDs, movies and video games. You never know what youll find.

Brought in some video games that were given to my son as a gift that were a little out of his age range they were helpful and gave us a great deal on trade ins

Quite possibly the hippest place in Redding. I actually experienced a profound sort of culture-shock when I first walked in the door; it felt like Id instantly been teleported into one of Seattle or San Franciscos art districts. Fantastic variety of cool stuff in here, totally cool vibe, your mileage might vary but definitely check it out at least once.

Unfortunately there was no bog or beans to be found. Luckily the cashiers personality was a good substitute. Five out of five, would smash again

First time visiting Redding, and I dropped in for a bit before heading back to Stockton, they have a great selection of CDs. I came out with a stack of CDs of some of my favorite bands to listen to for the drive home. I will be back the next time I go to Redding.

Honestly useless to go here now. They go off of GameStop prices so just go to GameStop for that stuff. And now most of what they have is antiquated and outdated
