They repaired my ac condenser and replaced my radiator at a reasonable price and was very transparent with the work they did. Very friendly definitely will go back for other repairs! The smell that used to come out my my air vents was also gone I am very thankful to them!

These guys have been my go to shop for the past year. They’ve done everything for my car; from fixing mistakes on a turbo install done by another mechanic, and even an engine swap recently due to failed piston ringlands/scored cylinder walls. They stayed patient with me throughout the whole (month-long) process of having an engine shipped from Germany and got my car back up and running in no time with the new engine and it is driving amazing with no issues. Not to mention they did a 10/10 job on a front lip install as well. Everyone there is always very friendly and very knowledgeable and it’s always a good time talking when I go there. My injection pump was leaking diesel and damaging other components of my engine. Zahntech was so helpful and reassuring during the entire process. They ran a full diagnostic on my car, then explained everything to me in detail. They did not push me to get any repairs other than that I wanted and chose. I have had my car worked on by a few dealers since moving to Seattle, I trusted Zahntech much more and will be returning for anything else that I need for my car.

Gabriel and the rest of the team at Zahntech are fantastic to work with. I took my BMW e46 M3 there to have the subframe reinforced. The price was extremely reasonable and their quality of work was great. Gabriel even took care of a few other minor issues while they had the subframe dropped and sent me pictures and text updates as they did the work. It isnt often that I come across a shop that doesnt try to upsell you on items that you dont need. Alongside trusting them they also have a great bedside manner and I have never felt ive been talked down to. They even ended up fixing some last minute low ticket items without charging me because it was fairly simple for them to do. The shop is an hour away from where I live, but well worth the trip for the service I get.

Very pleased that I found this shop! I own a TDI Jetta and the resident specialist there, Mathew was extremely helpful and more than knowledgeable on my car. It’s been a while since I have found such a switched on shop. The other people who helped me were friendly and helpful as well. I normally don’t make reviews but these guys are really an exception in fact I could not recommend a more fair and better place to take a car.

Thank you Zahntech!!Follow up session.When I went in for the service I gave them 5 stars for their service but now I have no choice but to revise my review.I had a transmission issue and it seemed that they had to research the issue for couple of hours but at that time the root cause could not be determined and thus ended up leveling the transmission fluid with the error code still on my car for a charge.. I was later told that I would need to replace the transmission module which would cost $3200 + tax. I had to get a second opinion because of the cost and transmission control replacement turned out not to be the issue and got the issue fixed for lot less with error and the symptom no longer an issue. Perhaps this was an one off case but I believe the diagnosis could have been a little better.

I took my car to the Bellevue Honda dealership for a general inspection. The dealership STRONGLY recommended $3000 worth of repairs (some of which involved brand new parts that haven’t even seen 10k miles). That’s when I started looking for a second opinion. I chose Zahntech because of their raving reviews, and I found that every review was accurate. The techs there were super nice and informative. They gave me a review sheet (with pictures) to show what was green, yellow, and red. It turns out I needed something Honda overlooked and did not need what they recommended. You take care of your car, itll take care of you. Id like to feel as Ive done something right. Part of doing right has been regularly servicing the car. The team at Zahntech is trustworthy, communicative, and thorough. They provided me details with photos that Im partially sharing with you here. My only gripe is the $100 plus fee to inspect the vehicle for issues. This seems to be a Redmond area thing. Just one more thing. Be like Columbo and your car may just last a century.

I thought I had a bad wheel bearing and dropped my car off at Zahntech. They gave me a lift to and back from my office. Turns out no bad bearing. I had a long talk with Matthew, master tech and also one of the owners. He gave me a ton of mechanics insight on my car. I really appreciated that. Also, since they didn’t actually do any billable work, there was no charge, even though I know they spent at least an hour inspecting and troubleshooting. That won me over, and I’ll be back the next time I need service.

The first time I brought my car to Zahntech for service was about 10+ years ago. I trust the people here to take care of my car with honesty. John is the one I usually talk to, and he knows me and my car.

We took our well loved 2004 VW Jetta wagon to Zahntech for diagnostics regarding engine noise. John seemed very knowledgeable and courteous. It was determined the noise was coming from the crankcase and we decided to have them replace the block with a good used one they had at their shop.It was close to $5000 when all was said and done. The vehicle broke down on the highway after leaving the shop. It was a crank sensor and was fixed.The first long trip after picking it up, the check engine light came on and my wife took it to the VW dealer in San Luis Obispo. The check engine light was on due to a faulty sensor but vehicle was also 3.5 quarts low on oil. She had to keep adding a quart every 600-800 miles after that.We called John Zahn and explained the situation, he asked us to have it looked at again so we took it to the local VW dealer. They performed an oil consumption test where they weighed the oil they added and we drove 600 miles and they drained and weighed it again and determined it would consume approx. 1.5 quarts every 1000 milesJohn Zahn asked us to bring the vehicle back to him.My wife drove up and left the vehicle with them for over a week. They called her and said they fixed it. She went back and picked it up and drove south to Oregon where I met her. She was complaining that it drove poorly and wasnt the same vehicle. I drove it and thought it was sluggish. I called Zahntech but John was unavailable. I was told he would return my call. On the way home I followed her and noticed the car would smoke on any incline. I took video of the smoke clouds.When we got home I parked the vehicle at my shop on a new poured concrete slab. When I came the next day there was a giant puddle of oil underneath the car. I was very upset.I called John Zahn again and got him on the phone. He was very defensive and rude to me. Accusing me of making up stories of how the car was broken and that I didnt want it to be fixed. He said and I quote there was nothing wrong with the engine you had in your car! I know because I put that engine in my sons car and he drives it every day. I said what engine did you put in our car? He said I put my sons engine in your car, its a good used engine.I took the car to an independent VW repair shop. They looked over the engine thoroughly. They were appalled by the condition of the motor. I have an extensive list of issues I sent to John Zahn. Who told me theres nothing hes going to do to help us.Honestly, Ive never been treated like this by anyone. John Zahn was very immature and unprofessional and rude and accusatory as soon as there was a legitimate problem with the work performed by his shop.On top of everything he totally disrespected us by removing our drivetrain and replacing with his sons??? He never called to explain he was going to do that???Who does that? Nobody does...I called and demanded to have all our original parts back. And he said that will be impossible because I sold that car I put your engine in.Seriously.
