In fact, Johnny went above and beyond to help me repair a piece of jewelry that appeared to be unfixable. It is evident that the staff is skilled and knowledgeable.

I can’t say enough about them! The staff is excellent, customer service amazing & awesome sense of compassion! I lost my husband to suicide & needless to say, times were tough financially. They gave me a very generous loan on his guitars & kept them safe for a very long time. When I ran into a brick wall to pay the interest, they worked with me more than once, so I didn’t loose them. I finally was able to pick them all up today & again they were so polite & 2 employees helped carry them all to my car! The store has an excellent variety of items. The person that usually helps me is Carmen, she is wonderful, she goes out of way to find what I am looking for, even when she is not working.She calls me to let me know on the items . We keep in contact all the time. But all the others workers /managers there are also very nice and attentive. My favorite place to shop is the Palace in Reno. I tell all my friends to shop there when they go to Reno. The atmosphere is wonderful just like Family.

This review goes way back to 1978. I was absolutely broke but had just been hired at the sheriff’s dept. Besides needing money for my first uniform, I needed survival money until my first paycheck.I wasn’t a regular customer (yet) and all I had to pawn was my handgun.I explained what I needed & why and without hesitation, they loaned me about the total value of my gun! At the time, I had no idea that was far from normal. Apparently they felt sorry for me and somehow knew I’d pay back the loan.I was able to buy my first uniform the same day & started work the following morning. It was a long two weeks before I got paid! Hand washing that same uniform each night etc..Payday finally came! I got my gun back & bought a second uniform. I never forgot what they did for me. As a result, I was a regular customer for years before I moved out of state.I never pawned or sold anything else but must have bought a truckload of goodies from there over the years. Selection was always good and prices were very fair. The service was outstanding! It was the service that kept me coming back.Of course they exist to make a profit, but they also put a very high priority serving their community. I hope nothing has changed over the years.I’ve visited other pawn shops around the country without being impressed. I never bothered going back to any of the others.

Let me start by saying if anyone is in the market for jewelry, wedding rings, necklaces ext. If you need to get it sized up modifications or even a simple cleaning I would strongly recommend Palace Jewelry and Loan in my 35 years I have never been treated with such hospitality especially being at a pawn shop with the greeting at the door to the highly skilled and trained experts of the jeweler there he went beyond the Call of Duty to helping me and my girlfriend choose a ring that she was truly satisfied with the reason of my visit was simply too retrieve an item she recently put on loan due to the financial difficulties of covid I ended up leaving there with another added piece to her collection thanks to him and his extensive knowledge in his field I will be returning thank you very much

I have brought four different stones to Don to have custom jewelry made. Each time he has done an excellent job in creating something beautiful. He doesn’t rush through discussing what I would like and makes sure it will something I will enjoy wearing.

She made sure the gold matched the gold in the cross I was going to wear on it. I went on a whirlwind shopping spree with Dixie. I found some replacement pieces of jewelry, that were lost in the Campfire (11/8/18) in Paradise, Ca.Arron was very knowledgeable, pleasant to work with and fair on the pieces I traded in. Their prices were more than reasonable, the quality of the merchandise blew me away. I like pieces that WALK and TALK and Dixie showed me pieces that exceeded my expectations. The business was clean with an extensive assortment of merchandise. Service was excellent. We will be back for more great finds and visit with the wonderful people we met. We had the privilege of meeting Joan, and she is absolutely delightful. She discussed how she had started the business years ago and its growth over the years. Her son, Landon, who co-runs it now for her, is an amazing, knowledgeable and personable man. We went in the store as acquaintances and left feeling very much like family. Looking forward to the Christmas Party.

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences in doing business with Palace Jewelry and Loan.No other Pawn Shop in town can compete with Palace and Loan when it comes to loaning on Gold and Silver. Most other shops would not even look at Gold and Silver Bullion (.999 pure), Gold Nuggets or Gold flakes that all test at 22k! The one shop that was willing to loan on gold offered 10% of its value. I called Palace and spoke with Barry and to my amazement he was excited to look at what I had and actually knew what I had and its rarity and value. Upon arrival I saw the Pawn Shop is very clean and organized with well lite sales floors. I found Barry at the Loan counter and again to my amazement this guy knew everything I did about Gold and Silver and possibly a bit more.He was very pleasant and personable and compassionate to my needs and frustrations with other shops. He evaluated my items and offered me more then I had expected or needed at the time. I, after that first experience; will never go anywhere else. I have been in several more times since and I am very grateful I contacted Palace Jewelry and Loan. I currently have only needed their services in the Loan Department but each time I go in there I see several items that I am very interested in purchasing. I would absolutely without hesitations recommend this business to everyone.

We went in to this store while we were on a weekend visit in Reno, NV. We had never been in a store like this before and were amazed at the selection of items for sale. Everything was very well organized and very neatly displayed. The customer service was excellent. We ended up purchasing a lovely necklace in the Jewelry Department from Matthew Foster. He was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in assisting us with our selection and made the whole process a wonderful experience for us. We will not hesitate to shop here again. This is the best pawn shop in Reno! They have the friendliest staff. They are very knowledgable and were quick to help me. I felt comfortable with them and didnt feel like they were screwing me over like I feel at other pawn shops downtown. They even have a sense of humor! I brought in a 14kt ring I didnt know anything about and they explained to me what it was made of and how it all works. Then my daughter saw another ring she wanted so they worked out a deal with me with the ring I brought in and the ring my daughter wanted. Great people. Walked in, went straight over to the rings and the jeweler was too busy laughing and yuckin it up on the phone to even ACKNOWLEDGE my being there. No one greeted us and some old man moving bicycles into the shop kept staring daggers at my girlfriend and I. Everything in there seemed to be over priced, as for the jewelry I wouldnt know since I never got any help like I said. There were no excuses for our lack of service as we went in looking to buy something and there were not enough patrons in the store to demand the attention of all the employees at counters. Completely unprofessional place. I would NEVER pawn or buy there.As for the response review the manager wrote. That was actually the reason I chose to disregard the poor reviews. He had a few valid points and being the reasonable lady I am I decided that there are 2 sides to every story. I now know that these past bad reviews for Palace Jewelry & Loan were anything BUT fabricated or embellished upon.Please beware. I went to Pawn World right next door and was treated very nicely, greeted upon entering the store and helped during my entire shopping experience(it wasnt necessary, but a lovely bonus), given tips on a good time to come back and check their jewelry stock for new things, and didnt feel pressured to purchase anything. They also had a pretty decent selection of ALL kinds of rings not just gaudy over the top crap that they can make a big profit off of.

I recently sold a jewelry set here and traded up for my fiances engagement ring. I thought my items may have been worth more, but the staff were very respectful in educating me on the jewelry market and I was given a fair price. I bought a 1.05 ct VS2 I color stone for a quarter of the price that Jarad was asking. The jeweler even reset the stone in a brand new setting that we designed! I was sincerely impressed with the service I received. If anyone needs a loan, or to sell jewelry I highly reccomend going to Palace Jewelry and Loan and seeing that young, really good looking manager behind the counter.

DO NOT GO HERE! They are running a total scam. I brought in an item to sell and the guy offered me 75$. I then brought the item back to do the deal at the original price, only for him to tell me he is only willing to pay 40$ now. I sold the item the next day on Craigslist for more than 150$, proving they are just greedy scam artists. I recommend metro pawn in sparks if you need to pawn something.

The BEST place to shop......I went into Palace to check on their stock of diamonds and left with a $17,000 ring.From the moment I walked in, the staff were attentive, and the selection was great. I had visited at least 3 other pawn shops close by and none of them came close to the number of large diamond rings that these guys have for sale.....and the place is really clean and professional, the others were on the dirty, sleezy side.Matt (sales) not only showed me lots of rings, he let me try them all on....what fun! He was knowledgeable and spent a great amount of time answering my questions. And best of all, I felt NO PRESSURE to buy. Bryan (manager) and Don (loan manager) were right there also to help with anything they could. I even received a personal escort back to my car!If you have ever worked with the public, you know there are always people who are more than willing to complain about anything, and some people can never be pleased....I think that is what is behind any poor ratings given to this business.
