Best place in the area to get great quality and fresh spices! Some are exotic but the prices are not!! If you are thirsty or curious about a tea flavor, checkout the tea bar in the back! Nothing disappointing here!

Ive been here three times now, the first was pre-pandemic, the second was curb-side pick up only and the last was inside w/ significant protocols in place for customers and staff. Terrific place - very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I am so impressed with the quality of the spices Ive bought here. The richness of the smells and colors, the depth of taste it provides my cooking is remarkable. It really really does make good sense to buy high quality spices and giant supermarkets and big box stores are NOT the place to buy spices when you consider the impact on your taste buds. I am happy to make the drive up from Carson ... and I look forward to going ...even during the pandemic. Am looking forward to the shop fully opening back up w/ tea service sometime this year (I hope)

This one is hard for me. The brick and mortar is amazing! Couldnt ask for a better experience. With the pandemic, I turned to their online store. Not the best set up and the product descriptions had a lot of weird artifacts. That didnt change how good the tea and spices were though. So overall, nothing thats a red flag for me.

This Place Rocks! very friendly family type business.These guys grind almost all their own spices and package right here in Reno!Ive been here twice both times to get theyre hot spices. these guys have peppers from all over the world including one of the worlds hottest the Carolina reaper a nd the famous Trinidad scorpion. You just cant find these types of quality spices anywhere in the northern part of the state.I would frequent the store more often if I didnt live all the way down in Carson City.Im a pepper head by nature but these guys also have all kinds of spices from all over the world. I cant say enough good things about how the staff treats you while youre in there, it feels like youre in a family run business versus one of the big retail giants that dont care about their customers these guys are awesome.

Local Gem. Extremely friendly and genuine staff. Changed my outlook on just how good tea could be.

We used to live in Lake Tahoe region and went to this shop in Reno for our spices and tea. We have moved away from the area, but I like their spices and some particular tea blends so much that we now order from them. I am impressed that they very carefully source their spices, etc. and buy only whole spices and grind them so that there is no adulteration. P.S. The delivery of our order was done in a timely fashion.

Amazing tea and amazing customer service. The ladies helped me get the perfect birthday gift this weekend!!... then I went back for myself. Ill never by tea from the grocery store again.

This store has all your spice and tea needs. They have from the obscure to the sublime to the ordinary. I cant think of something they dont have. You can call ahead and pay then just pick up curbside. Their quality is great and their price is reasonable. I highly recommend the Salty- Savory-Sweet-Spice Shop!

I love this store. They have an excellent selection of high quality spices at good prices. There is a lot of variety and unique stuff that is hard to find in Reno. They have specialty olive oils and vinegars. They also have a great selection of loose leaf teas. Theres a tea bar to get yourself a cup of tea. The customer service here is also great; the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Lindy and all of her staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Its obvious that they care deeply about the quality of their products and are constantly searching for new and interesting things to stock. Im fairly picky about quality loose leaf tea and there are numerous options that Im quite happy with. Prices are fair and there are good options at several price points for tea and many spices. You also have the option to buy a cup or pot of tea to sit and drink at the counter, an option we love to take advantage of when we visit to stock up. A fantastic local business that definitely deserves our support!

I love this store so much that I avoid going anywhere near it because I spend at least $50 each time I walk in. Ive been trying to support amazing Reno businesses as much as possible during the pandemic and Salty-Savory-Sweet The Spice and Tea Shoppe gets the love this week.Why do I love, love, love this shop? Spices & tea, of course! Two of my healthiest addictions. Im an avid home cook so this is where I buy my bay leaves, curries, red peppers, peppercorns, fancy shmancy salt (TRUFFLE SALT ON POPCORN, just saying, peeps!) and unusual spice blends like Zaatar. BBQ masters and anyone that pickles and/or bakes should check out their blends spice blends, vanilla and cocoa. If youre looking for unique and thoughtful gifts, this is a great place.I think Ive bought nearly every one of their teas at least once in the three years Ive lived in Reno. My main addiction is black tea although I drink herbal in the evenings and through the winter. This time I bought Afternoon Black Tea Blend, Braveheart Scottish Breakfast Blend, Irish Breakfast Blend and Ceylon - New Vithanakanda Estate and Chocolate Chai.Service is 5 star! Selection is 5 star! Pick up and delivery are 5 star! Did I say love, love, love?

I bought the brine mix with other seasoning packets, and it made my first (cooking myself) Thanksgiving awesome! I will say the poultry seasoning could be done differently maybe with more of a blend. Overall my experience and results were fantastic!!

This place has the most amazing selection of teas and powdered sweeteners! Not to mention all their selections of unique blends of spices and rubs. You can keep your nose out of all the testers they have and everything is so reasonably priced. Their shop is very clean and organized, shop owners are so polite and very helpful.Very fun and unique place, I cant wait until they have an online store set up!

Extremely polite staff! Huge selection on teas and spices (but truthfully I was just there for the teas, that alone is worth the 5 stars)! They grind all their ingredients (except nuts) in-house weekly so you know its fresh! Best of all, even though its a high class experience overall, the prices are surprisingly affordable! Definitely my only stop when I need tea!

This is the best spice shop in all of Reno. They have a very wide range of teas, spices, sauces, exotic spices, global spices and much more. The pricing is extremely fair send better than the spices at the grocery store. I will only buy my spices and goodies here.

I always love dropping in grabbing a cup of Moroccan Mint teas and perusing the vast assortment of spices and teas. You can find anything you may need, and often times much more that you dont.If inspiration strikes you Trader Joes is a few doors down. So you can come in and come up with something on the fly should inspiration strike you.The staff is friendly and always willing to teach and learn with the customers. Also, with the new location the inventory is greatly expanded, so finding the hard to get stuff is much simpler.

I was acknowledged instantly. Bailey asked if I needed help. When I spent five minutes on the bbq rubs he came over with suggestions. The store got busy and he was very attentive to all and knowledgeable. The girl behind the counter in the back was hoping someone would make her busy.

This place is honestly just a wonder to behold. If you want quality tea with too many options. This place is for you. The employees are very knowledgeable and very fun to talk to. They have great advice and this place is a perfect place for beginners in tea.

I love this place and I dont even cook! Im hooked on the Lavender Earl Grey tea. But once I slowed down enough to look at the other things in the store, I was really psyched - they have the coolest blends (smoked salts, flavored sugars, mixed spices, etc) Ive ever seen. And since they sell it (everything) by the ounce, you can buy just a little bit to try it out.

An enchanting shop with teas, spices, oil and a tea bar! One of my favorite places in Reno!

Ive gotten to try and enjoy all the teas (and the raspberry chipotle rub), and everything is excellent. The store has lots of rarer/harder to find spices, oils, and teas, and you can basically try all the spices and oils and sniff all the teas. At the back is their full tea bar, where you can buy a cup(or teapot!) of any of their teas to drink in case youre unsure if you want to buy the loose leaf. This is a really nice addition to Reno!

This shop is fantastic! Its the only place to buy hard to find spices, spice blends, and teas in Reno. They have everything from Egyptian Dukkah and Aleppo Chile to salts, extracts, peppers, and BBQ rubs.
