Nice to have a grocery store in the north end of Richland. Good produce selection and meat dept. Prices are a little high but with digital coupons and club card there are lots of good sales.

Produce lacks. Buy it and in only two days its rotted. Meat selection is super! Well stocked shelves and lots of healthy organic choices too. Best cashiers ever ! Maybe management could use some help. Produce buyer could be better educated. Overall pretty good. However could use updating. Richland is growing rapidly. Safeway needs to keep up and be ready to accommodate. Love the curbside service and appreciate the shoppers.

The pharmacists dont care about the person. They are rude and dont want to be bothered. Said they applied our good rx coupon but over charged us $20. Then said good rx is sometimes as much as $300 over coupon. Lies. Still didnt have 2 prescriptions that we have been waiting a month for. Dont use them.

Good for a quick mid week stop or a quick lunch. Meat section isnt as good as winco or Fred meyer.

The manager is really impatient and smells, no hate but girl. Shower, and maybe take anger management classes 😬

I pay premium prices when I shop at Safeway so they should bag my groceries but no I had to bag my own. I’m changing stores. This is ridiculous. Plus the checker wasn’t very cordial. Not even a smile. I even had to bag my mom’s groceries for her. If your not going to bag my groceries lower your prices.

Was disappointed that when I went to pick up a prescription, I was 6th in line at the pharmacy. It took 20 minutes to pick up my prescription that was already ready.

More expensive than many. Assistance is spotty. Product availability is poor due to Covid.

My local Safeway is the greatest love-hate relationship of my lifePros:- Conveniently close with good hours (at least before Covid)- Decent variety of food, usually stocked with what I need at competitive prices- Generally friendly staffCons:- The parking lot is a disaster- The size of the store is too tight- Lack of open registers during peak hours make the check out times over an hour- I find expired food being sold for normal prices regularly. I once found a ranch dressing bottle that had expired 3 years ago- The discounted food should be stayed away from at all costs. Frozen salads and dry/moldy bread- Thoughts of ending my existence when I enter the store until the time Im walking back to my car

I usually go there for cheap chicken Monday but, most of the time the deli people will lie about the freshness, ie,it, just came out of the cooker ten minutes ago. I always insist they drop a new batch and wait for it. Keep an eye on these folks, when a new batch comes out they serve the older stuff first.

Always feels like walking into cheers when youre a regular,,,they are friendly, helpful,,in cheerful moods always asking how youre doing as well as your family,,,always clean as well and very dangerous for me having Starbucks inside lol

One of the cashiers (Al**) was making inappropriate and rude comments to a customer in front of me in line. I would not be surprised if that person files a formal complaint. The cashier needs to be reprimanded or let go, in my opinion. I give it three stars because I normally like Safeway and the fact that it’s open late, but there was also some meat spilled on the floor in the deli area.

Ordered fresh flowers to put together arrangments and the floral department was a pleasure to work with.

Fast service they had what I was looking for. Its nice to get what you want and get out.

I bought a bottle of Vanilla Crown Royal here. When I got home it was the Rye version! A bit annoying to say the least.

Fully stocked on alot of specialty items.

Prices considerably higher than Winco, Walmart or Costco.

Safeway never has any of there sale items. They are always out. Some of the items they dont even have. It would be nice if they even carried coconut pecan frosting for German chocolate cake. Some sale items dont ring up at the sale price and you have to find someone to get a refund and you have to wait in line again. Its a hassle every time you go into Safeway.

Didnt get the 5 stars due to the building being to small for such a busy area. They have a very nice produce section and meats and seafood area very nicely displayed.

I was at self service today. Buying my sandwich. Having low sugar. For some reason the condiments set the register off for the attendant to come. WHO WAS TALKING TO HER FRIEND! SHE then turned around to head to the register behind me not blinking TO TALK TO HER SON AND gf!!!! Are you kidding me??? I needed food. I needed to eat!!!! I gathered my sandwich and went to a register told the cashier how attendant was not attending me for like 5 mins....I will not be back to Safeway.

Safeway is the main place I shop groceries. Though sometimes you may not find what you look for, it is great place to me. Close and convenient and easy. The payment options include Google Apple and Samsung pay.

This store seems to have a nice variety of items. It is a bit to tight of a store for me. The aisles are narrow.

I live pretty close to Safeway, but I only go there when I have an emergency, oh I forgot to get whatever for tonight. I drive across town to do my weekly shopping. The bad news is even if I have just a couple things it takes me forever to get out. They dont have a lot of checkers available and the ones they have are typically slow. (Its one thing to be friendly, but to get in a long drawn out conversation with every single person youre ringing up really slows the process)The self checkout has broken on me 3 times in 3 different ways, and no, it wasnt my fault. When the staff attempted to investigate the problem of why the self checkout would not take my cash, wouldnt ring up at the appropriate price etc they were dumbfounded also. Last thing is the produce. While the quality is decent the prices on most of their produce is insanely high. I once paid a little over 8 bucks for 3 sweet potatoes. I once paid 3 bucks for one red bell pepper. Why did I pay that much? Because I forgot to buy it across town with the rest of my groceries and I needed it right away. If I could end on a positive note it would be to tell you that their wine selection is superior to most grocery stores Ive been in and their bakery does a good job both in selection and quality.

I keep buying food thats expired! Maybe its my fault for not checking dates. But this last time I actually called them on it and the person I got was very helpful and apologetic. Thanks Tara. The store is very clean but recently they decided to move everything in the store and I feel like there is never a person to help with finding things.

I laugh at people who shop at whole foods. Safeways organic produce, etc. is.just as good and cheaper. People need to understand that Safeways buyers have been buying from the same families for generations and buy big so they get preference. My butcher is a real one who custom cuts and ties to order. They pay good wages too so the clerks dont look depressed like they do elsewhere. Its a true neighbor store with events locally.

Writing this while shopping,5 stars, its Cheap Chicken Monday and the guy in the chicken costume spot on, he already asked my friend if he wants chicken, twice! Grade A establishment! Made our day!Keep on keeping on, Chicken Man

This is the best grocery store in town. Its expensive and busy, but its clean and well stocked, and the workers are helpful and nice.

I am 26 years old and my boyfriend wanted to buy some cider for himself. We were checking out and I didn’t have my wallet. The cashier was extremely nice, but a manager behind us named Wesley, informed we couldn’t purchase the alcohol because I didn’t have any ID. I understand 100% and he wasn’t wrong, but how condescending and patronizing he was on his self righteous high was extremely uncalled for. His power trip and size of his ego was suffocating and doesn’t allow room for customers to breath. He got off on this power trip which is disgusting. His customer service skills were nonexistent and belittled us. I was willing to go home to retrieve my ID but how Wesley talked down to me made me go to another store instead. I understand there are laws, but fix that ego of yours, Wesley

I love Safeway for the few things I need here and there. Shopping is easier than going across town to the bigger stores.

Quick convenient with plenty of parking. Little congested getting in and out of the parking lot. Clean and good service, everything you would want from a grocery store and since they combined with Albertsons I think their prices are reasonable.

This is the store I shop weekly. Pricing is fair and the weekly specials make it more so. Produce is up and down but generally good quality. Meat and seafood have always been high quality. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will go out of their way to be helpful.This is my store.

Safeway is a convenient store to grab groceries and fresh produce. Their store is always clean and the displays are inviting. Overall a bit more expensive than some of the other options, but if you stick to their sales, you can get some great deals!
