I go here to rent textbooks for my class and I gotta say the customer service here is great and the price is actually affordable in my price range. Better than Barnes and Noble prices.(Though I do recommend just finding a pdf or finding a friend that you can share the book with!)

I visited to pick up a package from their UPS access point and even though they were working with other customers, they made sure I was taken care of in a fair and considerate manner. They seem like some of the nicest bookstore staff Ive ever had the pleasure of chatting with.

Virginia Book Company is a pretty good University stores where one can buy good goodies, T shirts, books and stationary. I would highly recommend people to come over and have a look at it, things are priced reasonable and has good variety.

Staff was super kind and helpful

1st time here with my freshman VCU daughter. We got some clothing, coffee mugs, and window stickers. No crowd at all. Good selections and good prices. Not overly expensive at all.

Has books, some are really good but some arent.

Theyre open even with the virus happening. Customers have to stay outside and interact with staff through a window one at a time, so the wait was a bit longer than usual. The staff all wore masks and was extremely friendly and helpful, even though I was a total noob and took too much of their time.

The best place to get your textbooks. Dont even bother going to the Barnes & Noble down the street because youll end up paying way more than you have to, unless you can only find your textbook there. The staff is super friendly here and the prices are reasonable. Plus, although I havent bought spiritwear from here, theres a pretty good selection.

If you cant find a textbook off of Amazon this is the only physical store on campus I would recommend going to! Prices arent as bad as at Barnes and Nobles and the quality and customer service is much better than Book Holders. Staff has always been helpful!

I have never had a problem with vbc and have been getting books there for years, but now they require your student ID, which was in my truck. I told them I parked across campus and was in a bit of hurry and I didnt have time to run and grab it. So instead of accommodating, they let a $100 sale walk out of the door. Obviously its not going to hurt their business, but it changed my perception of their customer service.

Great selection of VCU apparel and miscellaneous items. I got two decals, but they have so much more like lanyards and other cool stuff. My fiancée that goes to VCU has also had an amazing experience with the book rental side of business. She was able to return a book easily before the return deadline, and received her books on time as well. Definitely one of the cheaper options on campus for book rentals and merchandise! Great family owned business too. They should expand to other colleges!

Quality- same books but cheaper than VCUs bookstoreAppeal- They try to meet every students supply needsService- The manager is very friendly and helpful and makes his presence known. His upbeat attitude positively affects the staffs behavior.

Textbooks here are a lot cheaper and the same quality as those at Barnes and Noble! And the staff and atmosphere are a lot more pleasant than Bookholders. Its a small place, but they do have some merch and school supplies (like Chemistry goggles and notebooks) as well. Their sell-back policy for textbooks is a lot easier than Bookholders and you can actually get some money back for what they can take.

Book lending manager is disrespectful, recieved a book that was damaged and returned it that way and was never given a refund. theyre just trying to take your money....be smart and go to barnes and noble
