The current management here is completely irrational and clueless. They’ve ran what was once a terrific store completely into the ground. The first sign was when they inexplicably stopped carrying beauty products several years ago. Since then, prices have steadily crept up to the point where many items can be found for less online, brand new with a warranty. There’s absolutely no point in bothering to go into this store anymore.

Staff was very good and friendly. Auction area very unorganized. Online auction was very vague details on the items.

Foremost is hit or miss, but sometimes you can find real bargains.

Check back frequently if you want to find the best deals.

This place is pretty good with prices and everyone in the store is fairly friendly. I love this store. I just started school for my Master program at University of Richmond I needed a hole puncher to keep my homework organized. I went to my favorite store Foremost. I shop here everyday, I am a regular customer. I told my friends and professors at University of Richmond about Foremost and they thanked me for telling them about the store.However, I had a bad experience today. I saw a hole puncher that was a great fit!! It had a sticker on the box that said $15, I was so happy that I would be able to get a quality hole puncher at a reasonable price. I needed a pencil sharpener as well so I got a great price on that as well. I went through the check out line and paid for these two items.I didnt pay attention to the price but I had a gut feeling that something was wrong, I looked down at my receipt and I saw that the hole puncher rung up for $35. I worked in retail before so I thought that someone just did not put the item into the system when they got marked down.When I got to the customer service desk, there was a Caucasian man in front of me and the customer service lady named Tina was very nice to him, she took her time with him and made sure that he had everything that he needed. When he was finished, and he left, she paused for a moment and just looked at me, now today I was not looking my best, I am an African American woman with dread locks and I just came from the gym so I may have not looked a pretty sight to the eye, lol.So, she looked at me and gave me body language as if she didnt want to help me. But, she said very low, Can I help you, I said, Yes maam, thanks, I was erroneously charged $35 for this hole puncher, the sticker clearly says, $15, so, I would like a refund of the extra $15. She scanned the box and it rung up $35 in the system. She said in a firm undertone It is ringing up for $35 and Im not changing it, do you want me to give you your money back? At this time I am shocked at the way she just spoke to a customer in that manner, she did not show any empathy or did not even say I apologize for the inconvenience. It was straight Im not going to give this to you for $15. I told her that this was false advertisement. A customer expects to pay what sticker you have on the product, it is not the problem of the customer to research why this happened. Her tone was really rude, and she was very unprofessional. I asked to speak with her manager she said she did not have a manager, she said she was the manager, this was very disrespectful to her boss, for her to act as if there is no one over her. I told her, there is someone that she reports to, she did not want to tell me, she didnt say nothing. I asked one of the associates at the store and they said You have to ask her then I asked Tina again and she said, David, and I asked her who was over him, she said, Tony. I asked her was there a corporate number, she said no, just the store number. I said ok.I love this store but, this is very disturbing to me that there is not a corporate number to contact someone. It is not the price that is a problem, it is now the principle of the poor customer service I received from Tina. So often we do have rough times that we are going through and I get that every day is not great but, dont take your personal frustrations out on a customer. I would suggest she get re-education on customer service skills and how to show empathy. She probably has been in that same position for years and had become stagnant.Thank you Foremost as a company,, for all you do for the community! We cant let one bad apple put a bad vibe on the whole company. Please speak with her. Thats all I want and let her know to refrain from being condenseding to customers. I appreciate you all Foremost! And I trust this will be handled professionally.

Not at all what I expected. Very limited selection and sizes. Security and cashiers very unprofessional. Not directly disrespectful though. Place didnt look clean nor well kept. Dont waste your time nor gas, go somewhere else

Buyer Beware! I spent $25 on a board game for a child’s gift and later realized it does not work AT ALL without an entire separate board game. Foremost won’t take returns - even unopened with the receipt.I said, “this is totally useless and basically like selling one sock but acting like it’s a pair” and the guy was just like “whatever”.

One of my favorite place to shop. Bargains, Bargains galore.

Cool store! You never know what you are going to find. Lots of really neat and useless stuff as well as a bunch of really good stuff. Go rummage and have fun you might just find the gem you were looking for

Some items are good deals

Its like a treasure hunt. Merchandise changes frequently and items are hit or miss. Ive purchased some great items at greatly reduced prices but Ive also gone quite a few times and didnt find anything interesting to buy. Best to stop in a few times a week or each month and enjoy the fantastic prices on the treasures you do find.

Try to drop in every few months to see what they have. You can find some great deals, but you have to go with an open mind. My 2 teenage boys love to go through and hunt for bargains! Best of all the usually have some deal that allows an additional discount on your entire purchase.

I have been a customer here for a very long time or since the beginning. I visited the retail store a couple of weeks ago after an absence of maybe 4 or 5 months. That would be my last visit. I was shocked at the different pricing structure! They used to have bargains in almost every area of the store. The pricing used to be about 50% off retail price. Now, the prices are a lot more expensive with only about a 25% discount off retail. I heard that they have a new owner. If that’s true, and he came in and raised all of the prices he won’t be in business long. Why mess with a good thing? Foremost has been very successful thru the years with their retail sales because of the good prices. Now, with the higher pricing I seriously doubt they will be around much longer. You don’t mess around with a good thing. Very disappointed!

Its a pretty cool place. Some stuff is a great deal, and others its still retail. Staff is friendly lots of cool stuff. Definitely worthy of a stop.

Foremost has provided a fun treasure hunt for decades. Today I bought a twin window fan, new in box, for under $20, a 50 pound box of ice melter for $12 and a small glass jar with lid for $.75. Over the years I have purchased items such as $2500 commercial laser printers for $500 to USB batteries for around $1. If you find something you like, buy it right away; if you delay, someone else will snap it up fast!

The staff is beautiful and helpful. They always speak and there is a gentleman that’s been there a long time, he was recently sick and I hope he is better

Foremost is like a grabbag store, you never know what they will have. Decent prices with a daily additional percentage off. Love shopping here!!!

Have to visit more than once to find things you didnt know you needed. Good for practicing your gazintas to calculate your daily discount.

What a LOT of stuff!

Dont be fooled by the brand items in the case. They had three Michael Kors purses at $156 each then an additional 35% off. Having many Michael Kors bags myself, I know how to check for authenticity. These were FAKES. The interior authenticity tag was white on one side and black on the other. On a retail store MK bag, the interior authenticity tag is all white with a clear protective color. The outlet store MK bags have a black interior tag. This was the first sign it was a fake. Second, the snap closure on the outside was engraved with Michael Kors. An authentic bag will have the inside snap also engraved but these bags said M. Kane. Not authentic. Lastly, the price tag was a real MK tag but it said it was the Greenwich bag which is a style of bucket bag. This bag was not the signature Greenwich further proving that this tag was deceptively added to make it appear original. I told the salesperson it was a fake. He said nothing in response and put the bag back in the case. Im writing this review just to warn others that the bags are fakes! Foremost Salvage has cool stuff but BUYER BEWARE.
