I purchased a basketball hoop 🏀 as a gift 🎁 for my sons 11th birthday 🎂 and the customer service representative who attended me was very courteous, friendly and professional. He guided, helped and provided me pertinent information that was useful in making a decision to pick one hoop from the variety in stocks.I was happy the basketball hoop I picked, which is a good quality and will last for many years of my sons use.Thank you!

They were having issues with the registers today so long wait but the manager passed out coupons which was very considerate. Great store, great staff. Always ready to help and staff is readily available when you need help as was needed in the shoe department today. Good selection and great deals!

I like how each store always has a greeter. The store was clean and had everything we were looking for. They had several different Astros shirts right in the front as you walked in.

I stopped at this location to check out the new store. Being it is new, I was curious to see see if they had any ammunition, among other things. My curiosity paid off. Found some really good deals 50% off of already clearanced items. Ended up paying $5 for childrens cleats and $5 for girls boots. The few employees who I interacted with were very nice and helpful.

Came by to shop for some soccer gear for myself. I couldnt find everything, the cashier named Ashir personally helped me find an item and also place an order for something that was out of stock in my size at the store. Only reason the store doesnt get a 5/5 is because checkout line was hard to locate.

Nice clean store but hard to find someone to help although they are usually standing right in the very department. I always have to actually ask for assistance. Most help is located in the front of the store possibly management.

Went looking for some backpacks for school.. they had some just not what I was looking for. The store is nice and clean.

Came for the fitness section, took 20 minutes before someone came to assist after I asked an employee in another section if there was anyone working fitness. After he showed up he was very helpful and answered all my questions. Unfortunately they were out of stock on the machine I was looking to buy but he quickly told me the other store nearby had 3 in stock. Overall good experience and neat store. Cashier was beyond slow but its forgivable as I was in no rush but could see how someone else might take exception to the slow moving service.

After being passed to 4 different employees, no one could order a certain size shoe that they did not have in stock. I was told in the shoe department that there was the exact size I needed in stock but I was told I dont know where it is. I will do my shopping somewhere else.

GOod clean and new store, but mgmt needs to train associates better. Team has no pride in their jobs and reluctantly help customers.

This is my favorite place to go when I need some outdoor supplies . Always greeted by very friendly staff and they have great prices.

Checked out the fishing section...this location (on Hwy 99 in Richmond) had a bigger layout and better selection than the older Sugar Land store. The checkout line is strange however with the rat maze set up that Frys Electronics used to use, but was not crowded, so it was okay.

Must unethical bunch of employees Ive ever seen in my life. My license expired and I had a temporary issued by the government. They wouldnt even look at it or acknowledge it. Then they placed a ban on me from purchasing a firearm for 30days for no reason because of the argument I had with them about the law and how they should honour my government issued temporary drivers license. We called other academy location and they had no problem honouring the license.

This is the newest Academy store in the Richmond area. As this was my third visit here since its opening, Im still getting adjusted to the layout. Its very clean and inviting! Friendly and helpful staff! No complaints!

I love Academy Sports, but this isn’t my home store. I drove an extra 20 miles to get a bike the color I wanted, first they said that they didn’t have it assembled (I bought it assembled), but ok. Then they got me a wrong bike, 30 min later they got mine, but just now, when I started assembling it, I am seeing that this bike is the wrong color (the one I was initially trying to avoid).What an incompetent staff !!! #323393516 my order number.They guy that to take a picture of my last name because he probably thought it was hard to remember..... my last name has 3 letters.....

Great store to buy fishing tackle ! Theyre always stocked up. Even though during the pandemic I still got what I needed compared to other stores. The only thing I dislike is that the cashier who works at this location always pushing me to sell their academy credit card.

Today I went to this location and I was disappointed to learn that despite your signs of “required masks in store”, more than 5 people inside of the store were not wearing a mask. These people were customers however as a customer myself, I felt uncomfortable and unsafe that this rule was not enforced at this location. I shopped for about 30 minutes between 4-5 pm and did not see a manager or employer point this out to the customers without masks. It is dangerous and careless to not enforce a rule that helps prevent Covid 19 and reduce the risks to other customers that DO wear masks. Please educate your employers and do not allow customers to walk around thinking they can break rules as serious as this while we live through a pandemic.

Went to buy a firearm for my work, they complicated the whole process and were very picky even after I passed the background check. The representatives were unexperienced, they dont know any information about their firearms and they barely let us look at the gun.

This is a nice store all around. They have a great variety of products. But damn, people out there really need to wear a face mask. They walk around the store not caring for the well being of others. Only because they feel entitled.

Good store. Well organized. Only issue is the card readers always have an issue. Went here they told me the chip was bad. Unfortunately I didnt have my other card so I left. Went to HEB and Starbucks and no issues. Went back tried the same card and it worked. Went back a week later and they said the chip is bad again. Still using this card daily at other places with no issues at all.

I went to the hunting department and none of the 3 associates paid attention to me. They were really happy helping others, ignoring me, as if I dont even exist.

Very clean and has a wide variety. The staff is always super helpful when I go in.

A new location for those in the 77406 area zip. The place is huge. First impressions were that the customer service was superb. They carry all things inside and out. The selection was very good. We went for the grand opening and took advantage of the low sale prices and 20% discount on almost everything. Awesome. Might come back tomorrow and here on out !!!!
