There wasnt any paper in either bathroom. Someone else walked out as we were leaving and also told them.If youre getting a pack of bottled water, check to make sure theyre not leaking in any way. I placed a 24 pack in a cart, soon after one gushed out onto my foot. Chaos ensued.The sale items were marked but some signs were in the wrong places. I paid full price for something marked buy one get one free but I was in a hurry to leave and didnt feel like arguing.If you go, park on top of the deck so you dont have to take the elevator. People will rush ahead of you and push the door close button as fast as they can.We generally like Publix but this one was nuts.

Went to customer service to purchase something. A tall gentleman who I believe was a manager, based on his photo framed behind him, checked me out. After my purchase I asked if I could have a single paper bag, he replied you can get them from the end of the checkout lanes, just dont take handfuls! He snapped. I didnt plan to? I only needed one.. but his tone was that of accusation like I was going to rob them of their paper bag supply, very sassy guy. Your paper bags dont even have handles! Im good on the bags, and Publix. You can find me at Kroger across the street where the bags have handles and no rude managers..

Overall, this is a great grocery store. Its always clean, items are almost always in stock, and the staff is very friendly. My only knock on them is that they tend to have poor line/staffing management during peak times. I cant tell you how many times Ive rolled in on a week day at 5:30 p.m. (with everyone else) and theres only two full service checkout lanes open. Sure, self-checkout is great, but not when one kiosk is always down and theres a line of 15 people waiting because you only have two full service lanes open.

Finally, a market I enjoy on the level of Ukrop’s is back in Carytown. Construction took a long time, but the end result was worth the wait. The new parking deck provides much needed parking for Publix. The market is the perfect size, not too large and not too small, with all of the qualities I’ve come to expect and appreciate from Publix.

I really like shopping at Publix the service is good and the stores are always very well maintained as you can see by the pictures. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to engage customers.

So friendly! Just called to place a party tray order for Saturday less then 10 minutes before they closed this evening and had no issue. I spoke with Tori and she was so nice and willing to help!

Cleanest store Ive ever seen. Staff are super helpful and sometimes they have great BOGO deals. But theres a lot of local competition and the prices on average are not the best.

Some things never change no matter which Publix you shop at, the excellent customer service, great deals, spacious and clean store, fresh foods, customs cuts of meat, varieties of selections. Publix is the best grocery store to shop at.

Not a real Publix fan and this one looks so out of place in historic Carytown. Prices seem to be at least 15% higher than all other grocery stores. They do carry a full line of Ukrops food. I think thats the number one reason why so many in the area dig Publix. Not worth the high prices, in my opinion.

Its a beautiful store, still very clean and and thoughtfully laid out. But it doesnt have quite as much as the larger suburban stores do. That surprised me because as long as the construction took and the fact that it takes up seemingly a whole city block I would have thought it would have been huge. But two of the four things I went for that I bought regularly in the West end were not there. And it appeared they did not carry them, not that they were out of stock. Everybodys very nice, stores beautiful, it wasnt crowded, Ill go back. But if they had those two items it would have been five stars

Always clean, always well stocked, produce is fresh, and the employees are helpful and know where everything is. I cant believe Im saying that I actually enjoy having to make a trip to the grocery store. I still order most things through Amazon, but appreciate having a Publix between work and home for last minute needs.

Incredibly easy and convenient to park in the garage. The employees are always so friendly and offer to help. The wide variety and selection of goods-- packaged and fresh-- is unmatched; you can get everything you need here and then some! I love going to Publix when Im looking for something new and interesting to try. Its a great place to pick up kitchen utensils or gifts, like flowers, in a pinch, too. I also like that the receipt is emailed instead of printed if you enter your phone number.

I do love the idea of Publix in this area, Im not sure it was a good idea to put it on the second floor. Difficult process, I felt, to ride an elevator with a grocery cart.

I absolutely love Publix. Hands down the very best Bakery. The Italian Sub is wonderfully delicious. Key Lime pie is a must try if you like key lime.

Ashley and Mitchell are the hidden gems of this grocery store, their customer service is above and beyond!The popcorn chicken and potato wedges are always super tasty. 😋

There are very few stores that I feel comfortable shopping in due to the pandemic and how the staff take all safety precautions seriously but this is one Im comfortable with. The staff follow all protocols and to my surprise, so do the customers. The staff are also extremely helpful and friendly, so easy to get into a small conversation with them because of how friendly they are. I have never once had a bad experience here.

My first time visiting a Publix store and it was everything it was hyped up to be. I had a very lovely employee in the bakery, Courtney, who helped me with my selection and chatted me up nicely.

The subs are great! Just dont order for pickup. Its faster to just order when you get there. I arrived a few minutes after the estimated pick up time and had to wait for nearly 30 minutes for my two subs to be ready... Whats the point of pre ordering for pickup if you end up waiting longer than if you just ordered it in person?! They might need to reconfigure the time estimates or something.

I was much looking forward to this location. The staff is friendly ( much better than that evil Krogers), and you can get a variety of good food, including Ukrops brand, and you know we Richmonders love tradition!The only let down is the parking garage. I wish they had built on a normal level like the one on three chopt. The parking garage is for the retail stores to come, I imagine, but it may bring in riff raff and other elements. Still a great store. Glad Yall came to Carytown.

Publix is carrying a Smithfield sausage link and party you can microwave without MSG listed as an ingredient. I love it! Will be shopping there more. I very much enjoyed my shopping experience at Publix in Carytown.Pros:Parking- There is ample parking. Publix has both street parking and attached parking decks. Within the parking decks, there are even car charging stations so you can charge your car while shopping.Staff- Staff was super friendly and helpful. I think I was greeted maybe 10 times in my short 15 minute visit. I was even given a lil reusable grocery tote for free with my purchase.Produce- They have one of the best produce depts of any grocery store in Richmond. Wide variety and very fresh.Cons:Cost- The costs are typical of Publix. While you can find some things you need for a very reasonable price, many of the items available are going to be a little bit over average for the price. If youre willing to pay more for good groceries, its definitely worth a visit

Covid sensitive. For a brand new store, selection is poor and store layout is annoying. As someone who retired from retail grocery, I was embarressed.

The store built some much needed parking infrastructure in the area - well designed and built. Good job, Publix. While the prices can be higher, they will honor competitors coupons and the BO-GOs (buy one, get one free) are amazing! As a native Miamian, I have been going to Publix my entire life .... feels like home.

Long lines for cashier so tried self check out. It was a nightmare. Very sensitive and difficult to use own bags. Had to get assistance w each back. Not good if you have more than a few items. The associates are nice.
