Good people and big choices of groceries,all kind of halal meats,spices and sweets.

We go there because they have good chicken but from last two times we went there to get goat meat and everytime the owner says that they just have baby goat( because it costs more than normal goat) and we bought it but every time he just puts fatty pieces and there is hardly any meat. If you are thinking to buy goat from here please dont!

Nice medium size Indian/Bangladeshi grocery in Glen Allen & Henrico area. Almost everything is available for a Indian Bangladeshi families 😀 The Owner also very nice guy! I will recommend anyone give them a try.... obviously I will go back with my family 😎

I usually go there to get Halal meat from Taj Halal they have good and fresh meats but I would like to suggest that they should keep the meat cutting spot clean. The rest is fine!

The cashier front of the story is very unprofessional and the place seems to be corrupted because of actions. He lets people cut the meat line just because he knows them. The guys who work in the meat sections are always nice, but his actions ruins the experience. Thankfully, there are a lot other halal stores around the area and Ill take my business somewhere else. This has happened multiple times.

The shop smells really bad and the OWNER, is SUPER RUDE. I have never seen rude person like him in my entire life. Never gonna come back .... Giving 1 start rating just because there isn’t option to rate less then 1. Recently moved from MN and I found this grocery is the best Bangladeshi/Indian grocery in Richmond. Reason no 1, their fresh meat and availability of various grocery items. Reason no 2, their service. Amin (owner) was such a wonderful person and his friendly approach and willingness to help made me their regular customer. I would definitely rate this grocery ☆☆☆☆☆ and highly reccomend to others.

This place is one stop shop for all your grocery needs. The best thing about this place is the owners, they are kind and make your shopping experience smooth.

They gave us the wrong meat. They don’t have people who understand English in the back. But when we came to show them they gave us the wrong meat and they didn’t want to comply till we brought our mother who was Muslim out!

Sweet and VERY genuine people! I will always shop here for my products and fresh meat! Very clean and numerous options in any traditional item you could think of!

If you want good East Indian, Indian, Pakistani, or Middle Eastern ingredients, then I strongly recommend coming here!The store is clean every time I visit, and the workers are friendly to me. Dont be intimidated if its your first time going to a Hindustani grocery store, I am sure they will help you. If you already know what you want when you go, then the shopping is easier and just as pleasant.

Please pay attention not to purchase in Taj halal because when I went there after long time I wanted to buy Barbary bread but I didnt know that the bread were full of fungus and when I called to the seller he replied brother chose another bread that has no fungusNow I ask the customers does it make sense if I just search those breads that the fungus are not visible. Actually fungi are so small and not visible a lot but his breads were full of fungi and as far as I know fungi cause lot of health problems.I kindly request the Henrico health department to clearly observe the store and fine them, otherwise their products will sick lot of people.

They mishandled meats and poultry and there sever chance in terms of food poisoning, and children should avoid these meats & places!When complained, their response was this is how they do the business and if you like you can purchase or leave it. So, lets show them what customer power is and strictly boycott if you care for your health.Yours,James

Very rude staff behaviour. Especially the shop keepers impolite and no value to others time attitude. They will never give ears to what you want and you have to get what they intend to give you. Even upon requesting for small cut chicken I ended up getting big cuts. I had to struggle hard with my kitchen knife to cut it as desired. Worst customer service!

Good for meat some time it will take time

I worked near there and they did some shady stuff with their foods in the back parking lot. Blood was always draining across the lot and you could smell the funk coming from inside just walking past. Not sure how they pass their health inspections

This place is so horrible. The owner was so impolite and disrespectful to customers. Yesterday I came to buy chocolate pie, but I could not find it. Then the owner (cashier) recommended me to go to Kroger and somewhere I cannot hear clearly. I said thank you to him and asked him if he could repeat the name of the place cause I could not hear it clearly. He suddenly acted strange and told me that he didnt say anything and told me to go away. I asked him whats wrong cause I didnt do anything wrong, but he keeps told me to go away. He even threatened me that he would call the police. Then I said just do it. I didnt do anything wrong so I am not scared. The police can come to see me. Then he feel shame and talked something behind my back with his people by his language. This is the first time I met such a impolite and uneducated owner like him. I doubted that he were doing something illegal and tried to hide away. You guys shouldnt come to this horrible store.

Halal food for Muslim people with cheap prices. Have lots of stuff to buy from. You may like it, visit it and enjoy shopping with cheap price and good quality.

Vegetables section is less. But good for nonveg items.

The owner is very nice and provides good customer service to his customers. Always shop here at least once a week for all my halal foods.

Its my first place out of many places in Henrico that I go to when I want to buy Halal beef or chicken they also carry a wide variety of spices and rice. Totally recommend this place to all individuals just check the expiration date of the product you are buying.

I will not suggest anybody to go to shopping to store the customer service its very bad. We buy the meat when we go to the home to meet was really bad and I call store To give them feed back did Nite want to hear anything that was just argument with me. I will never going to go back to spend one penny .
