Love this place. This particular Ace Hardware has been in the community for quite sometime now. They have given a lot of kid’s their first jobs who have gone on to become very successful in life. The staff is always friendly & helpful with whatever you need.

Very nice staff. Easy to find compatible hardware. They have a bolt fitting area which allowed me to find a suitable flange bolt I was looking for. Fastener area was very tidy and organized.

Perfect place to get what you need...in & out fast...without feeling like a herd of cattle! Oh...and nice people working there that actually CARE about your shopping experience in their establishment!Not too many places left like this anymore.

The gentleman who helped me at ACE/Plantation Hardware today was very helpful and I was able to get everything that I was looking for to fix my sink plug and to bond my hot water heater as well as furnaces.

What a great place! I can’t say enough great things. Everyone goes to the big stores, but try to get someone to help you or be knowledgeable and your are pretty much out of luck. It’s not the case here, everyone is helpful and knowledgeable. They totally have my business and I am especially happy to support a small local business. I highly recommend!

Best Ace hardware Ive been to. I love all the gifts they have available and the sassafras mats and the microlife and nitro phos. Everything I need for the house thats better quality than what you find at the big box stores.

I j ust had the best shopping experience of my life. In fact I’m so pleased that I’m writing this review from the parking lot.I took an old mailbox in to have the latch fixed.Of course no one makes the original latch anymore. But Matt didn’t let that stand in his way.We found a latch, but the holes in the latch were smaller than I need them to be. Matt whipped out a dremel tool and made everything fit.He then went and made sure that I had all the right nuts and bolts.He probably spent 30 minutes with me. And my total bill was... $6.85.Matt and Plantation Ace Hardware may not have made a profit on this transaction, but they’ve made a customer for life.

Super friendly and knowledge staff

Ive been going to this Ace (used to be Tru-Value) since I moved to the Richmond area in 2012 and the customer service is top notch.If I have any project or need a quick fix for something, I always find an employee here to go out of thier way to come up with a solution and give advise that you ususally will not find in big box stores.I had a emergencey pipe leak today and I just happened to find an employee (I wish I got his name) who just happened to have 40 years of plumbing experience in his family.

Plantation Hardware in Richmond is a great local hardware store. It is staffed with helpful people, the store is stocked and organized, and it saves me a lot of driving and hassle going to the big box stores.

This is our local Ace Hardware. The gentleman who assisted us this morning was probably not even 20 years old. We need to get a key cut. My son just got a new car and it has a key fob and one of those internal cut Keys. The gentleman that assisted us did a fantastic job offered 2 also set up the fob for us if we had any problems. You just dont see todays youth offering to be that helpful. Congrats Ace Hardware! Thats one fine associate that you have.

What a great, family owned business. From the minute you walk in, folks are ready and waiting to help you find what you need without breathing down your neck. The floor staff seems to have been there for quite a while, knowing the store inside and out. I was most impressed when I went into the store with a concept of what I was trying to accomplish and my guy was able to navigate me through the store to get what I needed to get the job done. Highly recommended!

So happy they are Stihl dealers! Got this bad boy for keeping my trees trimmed on my property. Ive purchased other equipment from them and they have always been very easy to deal with regarding warranty issues. Its very difficult for me to drive past their store without stopping, lol.

Very helpful during my visit, but the salesman I spoke with on the phone was not very familiar with their pruning tool defection and assured me in error that they had the Fiskars extendable pole lopper I was looking for at a very good price. Although I went over the details about wanting the model with no external ropes, it turned out that he was looking at the one with ropes, so I wasted a 20-mile trip to to check it out.They have several brands of pole pruners, but offer only the fixed-length version of the Fiskars pruner with no ropes and the extendable one with ropes. The one I was looking for is not carried by them or any other of the Houston area suppliers, only Walmart online. I ordered one from Amazon at a lower price.Other than this mixup, I was impressed by the extensive hardware inventory carried by this store.

You will get the help you need at this Ace Hardware. Its refreshing to walk into a store and have the people that work there offer to help with finding items, offering suggestions, and carry heavy items to the car. Dont get guys like Rick at Lowes or Home Depot! Good job Ace! Oh and sign up for rewards. Youll get coupons in the mail.

I moved into Richmond about 5 months ago, and I would like to compliment this Ace Hardware location. The staff is attentive, polite and helpful. The inventory is excellent. The people there are fantastic. They have exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Michael Child

I have been using Ace Hardware in several different cities and towns. The general staff here is friendly and can help you with general questions. But the reason I gave 2 stars and not 5 is because I bought an Ace backed weed eater and thee months after the purchase date it broke. I called other Ace Hardware locations and they said this is covet by the Policy A defective return policy that Ace has. But apparently this location is choosing to disregard the policy and only wants to sell you their STIHL PRODUCTS and not the other ones because as the assistant manager stated they are not as expensive. After speaking to the manager and the owner I do not believe they care about their customers and only want profit. I have spend over $1000 there within the past 2 months and will not spend another there on the future. I am now loyal to Home Depot down the street. (I have the owner the chance to do the right thing and told him I will not come back if he doesnt want to try to help. He didnt even try!

Had been going to the Ace Hardware on 99 until they went out of business. Came in for the first time to buy a pad lock for my fence in the back yard. I came back with a longer list the second time. The gentleman that assisted me was very helpful and walked me around to find all the items on my list. The girls at the check out looked at my coupons and made sure I got the best deal. I found my new go-to local hardware store.

By far exceeded my expectations. The staff there are friendly, knowledgable, patient, and courteous. They took the time to show me what I could not find and guided me to the answer of my next question on where something was. Placed an online order for an item which was saying available for pick-up today at this store however even after whole passed, i never received an e-mail that it is ready for pick-up and when i went to store and found that item is available on their store however they refused to give it to me against my online order (i showed them e-mail of order) and eventually i had to buy it by paying it again on the store. The store cashier said they will return the money for my online order, so lets see.

I am sharing as a warning. The manager and some of the employees, at least, are rude, argumentative and down right disrespectful. I was treated very rudely and when trying to reach out to the manager to bring this to their attention I was met with the same rudeness and disrespect.

This is a family owned and operated business. If you are looking for low prices go to a big box store but if you are looking for friendly and expert help go to Plantation Hardware. I have been going there for over 26 years and the service is great. Howard is still around and he has probably answered every question hundreds of times.

I love this place! Its got the best of the small country hardware store atmosphere with knowledgeable people never more than 1 aisle away, and a good assortment of items of every category for house and yard or other kinds of projects that you can think of: construction, concrete etc.

This is a good local hardware store but the customer service leaves a little to be desired, especially if you’re going to charge more then your competitors you should provide a higher quality product or service. I will shop there again for convenience sake but not because the staff is overly helpful.

The selection that this store has is incredible, and the only thing better than the selection of their products are the staff! I just built a home out here in November and from day one their staff has been very helpful more than any big city store. They really do go above and beyond to help you in what you need! So much more convenient than Home Depot or Lowes. They have a little bit of everything and a helpful staff. But like a convenience store, you pay a bit more.

Always greeted at the door & tracked down to make sure I am finding what I need. As with most Ace locations stock is limited but they seem have what I need. Hate having to go to HD or LO. Always on the lookout for American origin/made products.

Had what I needed, and young man took the time to explain what different screws were for to 9 and 10 year old grand kids.

I went there for some nuts for my generator and when I got there, there were people all over the place asking if they could help. A few minutes later, When I needed help i could not find anybody at all to help, there was not a sole in site.

Stopped at Ace and got a little help from my old friend Bill. We couldnt find exactly what I needed but we came up with an alternative. Thatll work. As always, something will do the job.

This place is awesome its not worth driving to home depot or anywhere else said prices are very reasonable and you get personalized help in greeting every time. We have everything you need you may pay a little bit more but in gas and wasting time at home depot or lowes you save Lot of time and Hassel of help Etc.
