I love this hardware store. It feels like stepping back into a store from my childhood. Ive always been asked within 1 min of walking in of I need help with anything and have always found what I needed. There seems to be an older generation of staff here which I like. Straight to the point and no fluff. I LOVE IT! Ive always found parking here during the week.

The only store I know of that carries the soul I need for my plant babies 🪴🥰

Prices are a little high, but their selection is top notch, the staff is super helpful, and when you need a quality item, theyll have you covered. I prefer spending my money here to Home Depot most of the time.

Old school helpful hardware store. I like this so much more than the box stores. The guy just led me spot to spot getting the suppllies I needed. Way cool.

Friendly and helpful service for everything we needed! We couldnt find one thing we were looking for and an associate was able to track it down at another store and put on hold for us to get later.

I stopped at the Pleasants Hardware store on Patterson and Lauderdale with an old tree saw/lopper. My son-in-law had borrowed it🥴. It was so buggered up with a bent rusted saw blade and the chain had come loose from the lopper side.I entered the store carrying my 12 foot broken lopper.John Brinson offered to help me find the right replacement blade, but unfortunately we determined due to the age of the piece I would need to contact the manufacturer.John noticed the string that works the mechanism was twisted. I had no idea how I was going to fix that. He ended up taking it all apart and setting it right. He was able to reattach the chain and he straightened the saw blade.This Pleasant Hardware has yet to disappoint me. Their employees are knowledgeable and so helpful. Please don’t waste your time going to the big box stores. Look for a Pleasants Hardware and hopefully they too will have a John Brinson!!!

Pleasants Hardware is the place to go for all your home projects. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I am DIY/Fixer novice, and have been stumbling through my home projects, and the staff always offers tips and tricks to help me through.

I live nearby and finally went in to check this local hardware store out. The name was so fitting, it was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was helpful, prices were competitive and they even have a rewards program. Ive been back two more times most recently to pick up potting soil and a snow shovel.

They had what I needed. Fast and friendly service.

This was like going into the hardware with my grandfather in the late 50s — in a great way. Every person working there is knowledgeable and helpful. The person who helped me stepped in but was surprised that she didnt have the one key blank I needed. I thanked her, saying Id return another day. She called another Pleasants nearby, verified he had the blank, OKd it with me and told him Id be there in five minutes. The whole thing cost 15 minutes. Pleasants- good people.

Good service starting at the front door. The price of items on the website appear different that what goes into your cart. Prices differ based on your location. I viewed a price at 9.99 but when I checked out it was 11.99 because of my location.

I go to Pleasants on purpose, instead of the big box stores whenever I can. You guys are helpful, friendly and its not so overwhelming. Its just what you need!

This hardware store may be small, but they have an amazing stock on hand! Stafford knowledgeable, super helpful, and always friendly.

They charged $93 for a replacement car key in which the only effort was replacing the $2 jacket for the key and cutting the key, that is, the transponder can easily be moved to the new key by the customer. Moreover, both the cashier and person cutting the key said that at least its a lot cheaper than the dealer. This was bogus as I later called the Honda dealer, and they charge $65.

This is my go-to hardware store for specialty items that Lowest and Home Despot do not carry...

It is the closest thing to the neighborhood hardware store. I regularly try to go here before a big box store as the staff is great, prices reasonable and I can get in and out way faster.

As much as I would love to support the local hardware store, half of the store is either behind locked glass or chained to the wall. I get theyre trying to minimize theft, but I dont like feeling like a criminal when I shop. I go for odds and ends, but tools and bigger purchases I end up going to the big boxes.

Every single employee adds some sort of value add to your shopping experience whether it be customer service, product expertise, or just general friendliness. Really enjoy shopping here when Im at the Im at a crossroads stopping point in my project. For a smaller store, they have an extensive product selection. FYI doesnt carry extensive lumber like some other Do It stores. I believe they do have a hodge podge selection of random stuff if you are in a pickle

I really appreciate that as soon as I enter the store a sales person immediately asks if I need help with finding anything, which I usually do! I hold up my broken lightbulb and am quickly escorted to the aisle and shown the correct replacement. So helpful especially with the myriad of lightbulbs that are there! They have everything and know what you need. Always a smile too.

Recently bought a weed eater at this location. Staff was super knowledgeable. The individual I worked with even filled it with gas, took it outside and gave me tutorial (not that it was that complicated). He was also there to when I came back to help install new wire. Overall and very friendly and personable staff with high quality products. Highly recommend.

It was our first time in this store, and we were looking for a chainsaw. The owner came and helped put in gas and oil, which was done in the back. He then brought it back out to start it in front of us to demo the unit before the sale. It would not start, so the owner called over a sales associate to help troubleshoot it.The salesman took it to the back and was able to get it started, and came back out with a bad attitude and stated that there was nothing wrong with the chainsaw. I stated that I had not bought the chainsaw yet, in which the salesman immediately changed their tone and put on their friendly salesman attitude, I suspect he thought I was trying to return the chainsaw. I then purchased the chainsaw and took it home.I started it, and within 5 minutes, the chainsaw stopped working. I immediately went back to the store, where the same salesperson came up to me and asked what was the problem? I stated the chainsaw was not working, and he directed me to a service counter in the back to get it sorted out. The service guy at the counter took a look at the chainsaw, took the chain off, and then stated that this chain was not the right kind for the model chainsaw.The salesman then stated that I needed to purchase a new proper chain for the chainsaw. I refused and said this was an error on Pleasants side, and not mine, and should not be forced to purchase a new, proper chain for a brand new chainsaw. The salesman refused to budge and reiterated that I had to purchase a new chain. The salesman then said, its either that or you have to come back tomorrow. I then asked for a refund, which was refused because theres nothing wrong with it. I needed the chainsaw that night and did not have time to come back to argue on this point again the next day. I ended up having to pay for a new chain and left, as I needed to use the chainsaw before it got too dark.This was unacceptable behavior, especially from a locally owned small business whose competitive edge should be customer service. I am extremely disappointed at the way I was treated and handled at almost every step of this transaction, and will not be coming back and will warn others to do the same.

The staff here are all very friendly and eager to help. Great prices and great selection. If youre afraid youll get lost in a huge store like Lowes or Home Depot this is the place to go! They do repairs, make keys, and have a great selection of everything for whatever project your working on.

We got locked out of our house and had to break a small window pane. We came here and they cut the glass for us immediately and it fit perfectly. What a life saver!
