After 3 years that my poor 20 year old spa been sitting outside and lost its glory days, I decided to do a complete overhaul as the wood cabinets were rotting and I had a lot of leaks with the spas plumbing. Also found out that my Balboa control board was bad and I contacted Acura Spa right away through e-mail for assistance. I received a reply back at 3am on what control system I needed. Called them the next day as I was confused on how to order the things that I needed online. The sales rep that answered my call was very helpful and I like the fact that he was straight forward and was not selling me the parts that I dont really need. Received my order in a timely manner, just right in time that I was done with the cabinet and plumbing of my spa. The universal spa control was really well built and got my spa running like new again. It was good quality and compared to my old Balboa control unit, its not as crammed inside the box. The control pad was bigger than my old school control but with a help of a dremmel everything worked right. They also provided me with new wirings for the light, blower and pump which was really good. I recommend Acura spa to anybody that needs help with their spa and dont hesitate to call them. Acura spa earned my business! Thank you guys!

I needed to replace the motor/pump on my spa and after finding the Acura Spa Systems website, getting the replacement was EASY! I emailed them pictures of the existing unit and within 20 minutes (on a Sunday), they emailed me with what I needed, as the old unit had been discontinued. I was saved the hassle of ordering the wrong unit !! And at a great price.

Acura spa meet all my needs. Joseph was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. He helped me configure the order and answered questions. The system works well and now my 20 year old steel tub has crystal clear water, a two speed pump/jets, ozonator and a 5000W heater with a computer and WiFi controller. It doesnt hurt that the cost was far lower than other companies which actually didnt answer my questions or meet my needs for a self priming system for an in-ground spa. The picture also shows my second old pump which I kept -- the new system allows for a new replacement when needed (up to 3 pumps).

My experience at Acura Spa Systems and talking with Joseph was excellent and very informative - he explained the process and his products that he himself designed and patented and manufactures perfectly! I have a few years experience myself with Spas and so I understood completely. Joseph walked me through the complete build process of my Spa System and made it very very simple to order and the pricing is amazingly affordable compared to major Spa companies! as well as simple to install! and with a 5 year warranty and knowing that if I have any other spa issues - Acura Spa systems will have what I need and be there to help me once again! We bought a home with a 20 year old spa already built in. Upon start up the impeller seal leaked badly and the original OEM motor could not be rebuilt. I contacted Acura Spas and spoke with Joe who, over the phone, walked me through entire p/n cross. He made this process very simple, and clear. I purchased the Acura Spa pump on the spot. The Worst customer service ever they charge you for processing your order and shipping fees and they process wrong items refuse to take it back I called many times no one answered the phone for many days and finally . I got the universal controller and heater to replace my Balboa VS501Z controller. The installation took about 30 minutes and was very simple. The controller is ready to go out of the box and programmed to run itself. This last week with sub zero temps which are very unusual for Oklahoma the hot tub came through like a trooper. Very impressed with the quality and the level of service that they provided.

We recently purchased a replacement pump for our 2008 Cal Spas hot tub. Joe was fantastic to work with. I sent an email requesting help in choosing the correct pump replacement, along with photos of the old pump and the model & SN for our hot tub. He got right back to us, over a weekend no less. We purchased the more efficient model and my husband installed it the day it arrived. Its so much quieter than the old pump and Acura Spa Systems made it a cinch to replace. Super happy with the level of service and all the tips and recommendations that were provided. Happy customers! We will buy all replacement pumps through this company going forward. Oh! And shipping was much faster than expected. The pump was shipped out two days after ordering and arrived a couple of days after that. For made-to-order pumps Id say that was pretty stellar!

Acura Spa is a good resource for both replacement equipment and technical support. We had a control unit failure on a 17 year old spa and decided to upgrade that and the pump and motor.Joe is the owner and designer of the equipment. He took the time to walk through all of the steps to confirm we ordered the correct equipment. He then insured everything was configured, built and on its way as soon as possible. Joseph spent an initial 1/2 hr with my ordering process and then several emails back and forth to get my old LA Spa back up and running.. I saved a lot of money doing most of it myself, but going over the configuration with Joseph first with his experience was the best and made me feel confident I could do it. I would do business with them again and also suggest others to use his company. Also the unit was scheduled to come 3 weeks from my initial order, but came in in less than 2 weeks which was an added bonus.

My 2009 exercise spa needed new equipment. I replaced the entire system. When I made a major wiring error, Joe was patient and I sent the unit back for repair. At all times Joe was extremely helpful and made sure that I made no errors on the installation of the repaired parts.I added the ozone/UV sanitizer and the WiFi controller. Both have really simplified use of the spa and both work flawlessly. Joe cautioned me to to continue to add chemicals at least once a month and I float bromine tabs and change the filter regularly. I no longer get cloudy water at odd intervals.Not only is this equipment reliable, it is easy to order, has wonderful support and makes spa maintenance easier. I’m so glad my spa came with Acura equipment. I have saved thousands making these repairs myself.

Better than expected! Our 25 year old Jacuzzi hot tub was ready for the scrap pile. Joe took a lot of time working with me and designed a completely new system. I was trying to replace the original equipment with the same out dated analog system it came with. It was going to cost a lot of money. I replaced everything from the controller to circuit board and both pumps for far less than duplicating the original equipment. I was very reluctant but thank god I pulled the trigger and ordered the system he designed for me. We now have a digital system with upgraded pumps that outperform what we had brand new. Sooooo glad we found this company and would recommend them 100%. Very refreshing to deal with people that care and take time to help in this day and age.

This business is simply amazing. I am a handy guy, but didnt understand spa technology enough to make good buying choices. Joe sat on the phone with me for over 40 minutes and filled my shopping cart with the right items and they all arrived very quickly. He suggested reasonable upgrades and point out what is not necessary. I even scheduled a follow-up call with him after the install and went through some outstanding questions I had; he is a pleasure to speak to.I am VERY VERY VERY happy with my refurbished spa and the service and products this company provides. Sincerely, Tacoma TerpstraP.S. All you DIY folks out there, bleed the pump before running it! Just loosen the nut at the top of the pump after the pool is full to allow air to escape. There is also a auto-bleeder that can be installed. Joe explained the risks of not bleeding, so did the motor user manual.P.P.S. Joe also explained the fire risks of a empty heater manifold on our first call. He recommended buying the model that wont turn on the heater unless there is water conductivity in the manifold. I got a message on the topside control showing it was doing just that, awaiting water conductivity, and then after bleeding, pow! Heated water!

My 14 year old hot tub had another heater failure. Possibly because I switched to salt water about 1 year ago. I started searching online for heaters for salt-water hot tubs and came across Acura Spa System. I was impressed by the information on the web but I decided to call. Joe was great! He walked me through configuring a complete new spa control and heater along with all the cables and extra parts. It came as promised and I installed it. This required removing all the old control devices (main panel, heater, pressure switch, temp sensor, etc.) and installing the new unit. Their manual is comprehensive and simple to follow. The unit is extremely well made and worked perfectly as soon as I turned on the power. I wish I had done this a few years ago but at least now it works like a charm. I am suitably impressed with the engineering, design, and assembly. Ill never buy any hot tub parts from anyone else. This is a solid company with terrific support and fair prices! No need to shop anywhere else.

I needed to replace the spa pack on my 15+ year old hot tub. I did an internet search and found Acura Spa Systems. I requested a quote on a Sunday and Joe got back to me on Sunday night. I called Joe the next day and he walked me through all my options and helped me configure my spa pack to my exact specifications. The USC is the best idea for an older tub. A replacement topside was more expensive than replacing the controller, heater and topside with the Acura system. Now I have a well designed replacement for some old parts that were iffy at best.. I used the USC to restore 2 old tubs at this point and regret not discovering Joe years ago.

Great Technical Support and customer service, my main pump low speed went out. I called into technical support to see if it was the motor or control board, they provided excellent guidance in troubleshooting. Turned out I had a bad motor. The spa is over 12 years old so no surprise there. Ordered a replacement motor and seal and again had to call in to ensure I installed the seal correctly. Both times the representative was very patient in helping me install all parts correctly.Will definitely call them again if i have anymore problems.

I bought a replacement spa control almost three years ago from Acura. A couple of weeks ago our electric company (PG&E} had major problems. The voltage went as high as 295VAC and as low as 46VAC. When the power came back to normal all of the spa control programing had been erased. I went through reprogramming the control system but I was unable to get the small circulating pump to activate. I emailed the company on a Sunday and got a reply within a few minutes!!. Mr. Elnar asked me to call Monday morning and he would help me trouble shoot the issue. I called and after a rather complex series of steps that he walked me through the pump came on. I feel that this is incredible customer service especially since Mr. Elnar is the designer of the system. I need to add that it is a good testament to the spa control that it could survive this kind of power fluctuation and survive at all.

I recently had a Hotline Digital HL-2000 installed in my Hot Tub by an independent contractor from Aqua Logic Pools. I only know the contractors first name and Its not necessary to post that and spoil the rave reviews I want to give to Joe at Acura Spa Systems Inc. who took the time to walk me through everything from calibrating the temperature listed on the display to what a thermometer was showing which after adjustments by Joe was only 1 degree difference which is completely acceptable! I purchased a spa operating system after speaking with Joseph who seem to be very knowledgeable and I had a good feeling about spending $500 on an operating system part shipped to the house and as soon as I installed it I had an issue with the heater code heater high level code called and left Joseph about proximately 13 messages no call back no response I highly recommend not using this company if this is going to be the case. Joe refused to return my phone calls. Of course before I purchased the operating system anytime I had a question he would call me back within the hour since ordering the product and shipping and receiving it it’s been 13 to 15 phone calls And voicemails to Joseph and still no response extremely poor customer service very dissatisfied with my order not to mention I am a disabled veteran so Joseph willingly screwed over a disabled veteran!!! I saw all the great reviews, and after calling and talking to Joseph who is very charismatic, I felt comfortable with spending $530 on a controller. 3 weeks after the install the heater caught fire, luckily I was home and saw the smoke, I quickly ran to the breaker box and tripped the breaker. I sent pictures and talked to Joseph about it. He apologized for it, said its very common, I assumed it would be under some warranty. He said it wasnt that I would have to buy approximately $200 in parts plus shipping. And yep you got it, that was my tipping point. You burn me once shame on you, you burn me twice shame on me. Ill keep my money and spend it somewhere else.

I Had this pump installed 11 years ago,(original pmp died after 3 years) the jacuzzi I have is salt waterit runs around the clock cycling on and off, it is an amazing energy saver.and never missed working properly..But finally had motor problems(just due to age) So today I reordered another..Great price, Excellent, Service, Walked me thru everything, And talked to a LIVE HUMAN, as I am a senior citizen this means a lot when you have questions...

I have owned my spa for almost 19 years. I purchased from a small business in Youngstown OH that assembled them cheap but most part well built. I saved a couple thousand. After they went out of business I needed parts and sometimes technical advice and Acura Spa has been GREAT. Ive replaced pumps, motors, top-side controls, heaters, control boards over the years. Also, fittings etc. The only thing they dont have is my jets that I had to search and find elsewhere. WEB Site is the best. Im a chemical engineer and some of the industrial plant equipment web sites I use are not as complete and easy to navigate as yours. My hot tub runs continuously outdoors in the brutal Midwest winters with Acura spa help. Keep up the good work.

I own an Island Spa. The original manufacturer went out of business few years back. I turned to Acura Spa Systems for help. What a relief!!! They helped me replace the pump and spent 45 minutes on the phone helping me do the installation!! Thank you so much for you help. Not only I saved money on expensive service calls but also I bought a superior pump that saves energy and my electric bill is considerably lower since I replaced the pump. I purchased my acura (Catalina Omega VII) spa hot tub in 1995. Joe helped me retrofit it in 2018 from the original air switch unit to his megatrol unit. I am proud to say my tub is still going after 24 years and now it cost me less to run than it ever has. I looked at replacement tubs in 2018 and his original tub still has more options than the all the new tubs today. The replacement unit was a better way to go. I replaced everything in our spa: pump, topside control, and inside control board and housing with heater. The parts almost nearly went right into the same spots as the old ones, just a little bit of PVC work--SPA is better now than when it was brand new. Thanks for the help JOE.

Many thanks to Acura Spa Systems and Joe in particular for helping me change out a failed pump on my spa. I dont usually do things like changing out a pump, so I had to get help over the phone on several occasions. Joe helped me with ordering the right pump, getting the right electrical connections, and troubleshooting and fixing an air-lock problem. A great experience...if I need to replace another pump, Ill be calling Joe at Acura Spa Systems. Thanks Joe!Update 2020: Just spoke to Joe and got help ordering a new pump. He clearly takes pride in his systems and spend a lot of time communicating with me (at least 3 different phone calls and several emails) to try to solve the issues.
