System has been down 2 months, Called for Service and was told that the earliest day would be 3 weeks away. This is a 2nd home, 2 hours from where I am; a home to move permanently to in 2 months. The day of the scheduled appointment was on Monday 7/19 from 1 to 5; at 4:30 not hearing from any one I called ADT, was put on hold while the agent reviewed the account and service request after this she told me that no service tech had been assigned to the job and that I needed to call the local office in Roanoke Va. When I called the Roanoke # listed on the website, the number WAS NOT THE ROANOKE number But another corporate number in Canada! And then I was instructed to call the Scheduling dept! The US is no definitely a 3rd world country, no suchthing as customer service.
Our technician was Steve. He was very professional, courteous, informative and definitely knew what he was doing. Steve is an asset to ADT. I wish other companies had a “Steve “ the world would be happy place.
Extremely dissatisfied! ADT customer for years. I canceled my service in august, but continued to be billed. I’ve called twice only to be told that canceling is a 30 day process! What in the world! I can call back in 30 days to seek a refund. Never again! There are plenty of other security options.
Great care to detail from tech but phone salesperson should tell customer it will take hours for installation.

This was a service call at my home to check on a smoke detector. The technician showed up within the suggested timeframe and replaced the detector. All working well again.
Very poor company. Never had issues with my other provider(Security Force) ADT bought them out and have been having trouble since. Too many complications and want to sell me their equipment instead of adapting to mine. Don’t want their service if this is how they’re going to operate.
Very terrible customer service. Installer and reps blatantly lied on multiple occasions about what services and cams they could provide just to get me in a contract situation. Now they are trying to lock me in to a 3 year contract for $58 a month and not provide the services promised nor does all the cameras work.They think sending a technician out will fix the problem and he also told me that I could pay $20 a month being that im a disabled veteran.

Whatever you do, avoid ADT (particularly in the area of Roanoke/Blacksburg/Christiansburg) AT ALL COSTS. The worst customer service I have EVER encountered. During the original install two of my door sensors disappeared, and rather than acknowledging their mistake, they chose to stonewall me and not find or replace my hardware. Im sure the replacement would have destroyed their corporate pockets, as it would have cost them $40.Ive been ran in circles for weeks between ADTs customer service, customer loyalty department, and local branch manager. No progress has been made, and I suspect none will be.After having having this and other problems, I chose to exercise my right to have ADT uninstalled from my property, and be refunded the install/purchase price. Guess what, they didnt show up during the 11-3pm window they generously gave themselves... Or the rest of the day for that matter. Adding insult to injury, they didnt even call or notify me in any way to give notice they wouldnt be coming. I had to take off ANOTHER day of work just so they could reschedule the install for a separate day.
