Great place to buy gently used item for a low price however, if your looking to sell item that you paid a lot of money for then I wouldnt suggest selling it to them. Ex: I paid 110.00 for a infant snow suit that is still brand new and they want to offer me $4.80. So naturally I declined. But still a okay place.

The one manager with the sort hair is the gloomiest person I have met in a long time. When you walk in to the store on her shift and you can feel the tension. And she always trys to get my stuff for nothing. I like the lady manager with the long hair and also the nice young girl named rebecca. The new person rebecca is a nice change of pace

Wanting to shop here to try and find some stuff to baby proof the house. Did not stay because most of the staff members where not wearing their mask correctly. They did not have their noses covered and one if the employees had it on her chin. I do not feel comfortable buying items here knowing that proper safety precautions are not being followed.

Once upon a child is a good place to get quality used clothes for the kids! $23 got a pair of shorts three pairs of sandals and a pair of shoes!

I don’t understand why it’s always a mess here! It’s so cluttered. They need to shut down the store and clean! It looks so ghetto in there. Also the lady that works there probably in her 50’s with short hair and glasses is super rude to every customer. Reason why I only take my business to Electric road :)

Dirty dirty dirty.....racks are slammed full. Clothes scattered in different sizes. Saw a bug in the corner (needs a deep clean). They really need to adjust prices accordingly. There are stains, holes, rips, missing buttons. The strollers are filthy, could use a wipe down. I use to be a weekly shopper at another Once Upon a Child on the other side of the state. They WOULD NOT take a fourth of the items you do and have.

Love there prices, sales person are always helpful but they need to do something about the Clutter and checking out takes a while because theres only one person checking out customers and no clear defind lines.

Prices for clothing are good. Prices on toys are high. They do not have shopping carts with seats for children so you have to bring a stroller if you want your child to stay put.

I do really like this place, I am able to get my kids ages 12-3 and hopefully a newborn soon a lot of stuff! I do wish that they bought more items at a better price off of me, and wish that they didnt resell certain items (Walmart brand in particular)for the same price you can get new in the store. But overall I love the place!

Nice clothing store.

Perfect place to get kids clothes. The store is better organized and the clothes are in better condition than most consignment stores. Kids grow out of clothes so fast, so why spend twice as much at Target or elsewhere for essentially the same thing? Well be going back again and again for our 3-year-old and 3-month-old.

Roanoke has went down they said they would text after 30 min I asked they said 2 hours on buying clothes I mean we been going for 6 years. Christiansburg was at least and hour faster and we drive almost 4 hours one way.

Why do they not have a 0 star for this worthless place? Upon arrival, without the thought of ever entering its place of business, It looked like a black and Hispanic welfare line and everyone was smoking cigarettes right outside the door and waiting to sell boxes and totes full of their childrens memories. Why would anyone even consider shopping at such a lowlife business? It was sickening and disgusting watching trash sell their own kids stuff for money. Anyone who shops here and congregates with these maggots are as well, Maggots too! Who would purchase used baby items? Isnt the child you brought into the world to love, protect, nourish, and raise worth more than that? They should close down these types of businesses. That toy your child is putting in his/her mouth you bought there....Where has it been? Simply nasty.

I shop at more than 1 location but this is my favorite. I find that it does seem a little more crowded as far as clothing and items but this is beyond control of the employees and they are making the best use of utilizing space that they can. there is way more clothing to choose from so if that means i have to be a little cramped then so what who cares! Location is convenient, Staff are always friendly and even if busy they greet you coming through the door. Always willing to help. I have recommended this location to family and friends.

This location has better prices and better sales. They now have shopping carts. The aisles can be a little tight but I dont mind because of the deals.

Customer service needs improvement. Would rate a 0 star but thats not an option. Dropped some items off and because we dont live close by, the girl at the register offered to call us when they were done reviewing the items. A day goes by, no call. We call back and are told they were done reviewing items, to come in to collect funds. I explained I lived about a 45 minute drive and it would be a few days. She said no problem. I went today to get the cash for the items and i am told, oh we can only give store credit cause you didnt come back soon enough. One person says one thing, another says something else. All I was offered was to provide the owner feedback. I would have been better off donating the items to goodwill. Rip off.

Exceptionally horrible customer service. The place is disorganized and when my husband and I came in to sell items, they turned us away because they only wanted small totes, not large totes. The woman working the front was rude and unprofessional. We took our items 6 miles down the road to Once Upon a Child near Tanglewood and they happily accepted our items AND took almost $100 worth of items. The owner of the Town Square location really needs to review their staff and retrain basic customer service skills!

I LOVE this place, what a life saver for parents who cant afford the newest things. I visit here quite a bit. My biggest complaint is some of the girls are rude, they dont greet you, dont smile, just ring you up and send you on your way. Also I have sat at the register for a few minutes while 5+ people are behind there talking and so fourth, definitely not cool. lastly, this store is way to packed. You can barely even look through the clothes because its so tightly packed, the toys are thrown around. you have to literally dig to Look maybe looking into a bigger space or doing some cleaning up.

How pathetic. I was turned away because my tote was too big then when I asked if we could use one of their totes, the lady rudely said you cant use one of our totes. We will not be returning to this store. I can agree with others, customer service is poor and employees were rude. Someone needs to address this.

One of the worst Once Upon a Child in the area!!!! SO cluttered they are not friendly. They take items that have bad stains or tears. Tried to be helpful and inform them of a dress I saw passing that had a huge tear and one of the workers was like yeah there is a tear. She took the dress and marked it up and put it on a different rack. So becareful. They are not organized. Having clothes in bins in the middle of already cramped aisles. Or having bins of empty hangers in the middle of aisles. It is so cramped by the front door there is barely room for foot traffic. To come and out without getting knocked down. We do not come here unless we really have to, due to others not having what we are looking for. I recommend if you need to get something for your child go to another Once Upon A Child, and see how a nice one looks like. Leave this one for last, as a last resort. The bathrooms are also a huge issue. My kids went in to try to use the bathroom came running out they said they would rather hold it then to use the bathrooms, because they are nasty. They are lucky they are getting any stars. * update* just went there again looking for ballet shoes that is again all in a box on the floor cluttering an aisle. We only go here if we really really have to. Each time we go it is more cluttered then the last. BUT THE WAY IF YOU DID NOT KNOW IT IS A FIRE HAZARD! ! ! If you must go here be careful for clothes that they take every time I go I see a lot of clothes with huge holes and tears and stains. All I can say is that if you can go somewhere else until they clean up and declutter. If anyone was in a wheelchair or had a kid in a stroller they would not be able to fit through the front door and if they did they would not be able to maneuver well.** Update- they really seem like they are trying to clean up their act, still not my to go to Once Upon A child, but they are trying. Which is better then them not. You all still need to clean the shoes a bit better on how they are presented, and put the dance shoes on a shelf. The toy area needs to be cleaner. The bathroom might be public, but that does not mean that it is not your job to clean it, so please do so. I will give a star for doing a bit better. But you have a long way you go. -

Not organized at all . Need to sell to the electric owner. They text u at the electric one and have communication. I brought a huge bag and they threw it in the trash because I came two days later although I came one day and the online said they opened earlier then there door did when I called I got a fax machine so instead of holding my stuff they threw a whole bag of clothes in the dumpster that I could have donated to a kid from church . I’ve never had this issue with the electric rd I am so sad thT I moved on this side of town and now this one is closer to me

I brought in a laundry basket and big box of infant clothes. They barely took anything, but hey, $20 I didnt have before. They have a ton of stuff and not a lot of space... Probably need a bigger store!

Theyve got good prices on anything youd need for baby to big kids. Only real issue for me is how jam packed the store is. Its over filled with clothes. Almost panic enducing if youre there while its busy.

I learnt if you dont know someone that works at youre out of luck! Thats the best way to describe!This location is very polite, they dont judge, and are very organized! Highly recommended

First off the price that they charge for used clothes will be the same price that you can get at Walmart. In fact I was there not too long ago and a pair of fleece pants was $5 went to Walmart and it was $2. How are you going to price gouge on used items?!

As soon as I walked through the door a nice lady greeted me and asked if I had been there before and asked if I knew how things worked she helped me with the forms and told me it would be about 30 min I walked around and fou nd a few things then she came and got me when she was done but ij had watched as she actually took the time to look through the totes and didnt just toss it up she showed me the items she wanted to purchase and gave me my totes back best customer service at any once upon a child Ive been to

Ive been going to this location over tanglewood mall because its bigger and has a variety but I walked in today and not only were two young ladies (a blonde and brunette ) couldnt see there name tag being rude about there conversation while I was still in the store but they had made a comment saying the Moby wrap I had brought in had bleach stains and was dirty were laughing and such . I did mot see any plus I had washed everything right before coming but thats not my issue my issue is the customer service is getting horrible..all i ever see are down faves like they dont even want to be there for one if they want us to shop there act like it and dont have conversations that you shouldnt while a customer is in the store

I really dislike this store. It is super tight in there, narrow isles, it feels very dingy. When it comes to clothes they have an ok selection, but for the rest (carriers, toys, bassinets etc), they are either cheap because they are super dirty or worn out, or they are in good condition but same price as new! So might as well order it from amazon...

I have yet to have a bad experience at this location. Since its right next to Sams Club and a good Kroger, its the OUAC in Roanoke I visit most often.Theyre a little more selective about buying, but thats fine by me. Sometimes they buy very little from me, other times they blow me away with how much they want to buy.Sometimes the selection is a little dull, but, again, theyre selective about buying.Toys selection is always great, yesterday we found a full size Buzz Lightyear action doll there in great condition for even less than the average price for the same item on eBay.As far as customer service goes, they have always been great to me. When I take my two toddler boys there before theyve had their naps and little brother starts screaming like a cat on fire, they are always understanding and make googly noises at him and dont act annoyed even though they have every right to be.The only OUAC Ive been to better than this one is the one in Forest, but thats only because its never as busy as the Towne Square location is, and I like a quieter shopping experience.All things considered, the Towne Square OUAC will have my familys business for many seasons to come.Alyssa Duvall

This place is a ripoff. I took brans new shoes and clothes that my son NEVER wore and that tried giving me $5.00 dollars for ten outfits or so. Id rather give my sons old clothes away for free vs being ripped off by this bogus store
