Phenomenal car buying experience!! Coming off a bad experience at another dealer, our salesman, Enrique, showed us what a truly great car buying experience can be like. Tyler spent 3+ weeks trying to find us the exact color combination we wanted which wasnt even a little bit easy in a post-Covid car market plagued with vehicle and chip shortages. We had frequent updates from Tyler and Enrique. When that elusive Enclave was found, it hadnt been built yet, but luckily it was built right before plant shutdowns. We waited almost 2 months for a chip. It was worth the wait when we finally saw it. Lloyd was the icing on the cake as we put ink to paper and took our beautiful new Enclave Avenir home. We couldnt be more pleased with the quality and beyond friendly people at Buick GMC of Rochester.
I made an appointment online for an oil change and it stated a different price then what I had to pay at the dealership which ended up being more than what the website said. They fixed the problem after I called later and questioned the price difference, but I wish they would have let me know about the price change ahead of time either in person or through some sort of newsletter! Besides that they did a great job as usual and great customer service!

We suspected an issue with the recharging system and asked for tire/rim inspection due to a tire leaking when temperatures change. They looked at these and more and found no problems.We picked up the Buick and were happy there was no charge for the diagnostics.
I was recently in the market for a used car for my son. We didnt have a huge budget, but were looking for something reliable. I found exactly what I was looking for at Rochester Buick GMC so I emailed them to start the process. I set up a time to go test drive it and met with Kenneth Wilson and couldnt have asked for a better salesman. My son and I took the car for a quick ride and thought this was the car for him. Unfortunately there was a small problem that we found on further inspection. I brought that to Kenneths attention in an email over the weekend. On Monday I got a call and they were going to look at the problem and got it fixed to our satisfaction, and the next Saturday we drove off in our new car. Im not into car shopping due to the high pressure situations, but this was the exact opposite of that and the next time I need a car, this will be the first place I look.Thanks to everyone at the dealership, this was a great experience.

**read before using the service shop for your vehicle***We dropped my girlfriends GMC Terrain off at the dealership and they said they would take a look at it first thing on Tuesday morning. It was making a very loud thump noise from under the car. They called on Tuesday and stated that the transfer case was broke and would need to be replaced. Kevin stated that he was already in contact with the extended warranty people and they would cover everything. We would only have to cover the deductible of $250. He explained that the parts were going to take a few days to get in which wasn’t a problem.On the following Tuesday my girlfriend called and they said they were “having a hard time getting parts off to get to the transfer case” and said it would be a few more days. No big deal! On Thursday they call saying they had to order another pipe and it wouldn’t be here until Tuesday of the following week. Once again this wasn’t a major issue for us. Fast forward to Tuesday. Kevin called and informed my girlfriend that the exhaust pipe was broken prior to the vehicle arriving at the dealership and that it would need to be replaced costing us $800. When we asked Kevin why this wasn’t brought up at the beginning he did not have an answer. She asked what options she had and he gave the answer of only getting it fixed because the car would run without it.On Wednesday I went to the dealership with her to pick her car up. I asked Kevin how the exhaust pipe was broken and he told me the drive shaft broke and hit the exhaust which broke. He couldn’t tell me how or what exactly was broke on the exhaust. The drive shaft was not broken because I drove it there. I know the exhaust was not broken either and have a video of that from the day we brought it in. I asked to see the pictures of the broken pets and he said they don’t have pictures. I then asked to see the broken exhaust pipe. Kevin went to find it and came back and said the people who take their scrap metal came this morning so it’s no longer there. CONVENIENT right….After going back and forth with Kevin for a decent amount of time he said he was going to go talk with someone in the back. (Let me tell you there were multiple phone calls and emails exchanged before coming to the dealership). Kevin came back out and stated “I talked with the technician that worked on your car and now he’s admitting to breaking the exhaust pipe. We will take care of the charges for it.”In the end, they took care of the charges for the broken exhaust pipe. The money was not the problem ever. It was the fact that multiple lies were told to try to cover up mistakes made by the dealership. Lying to customers is never the way to go. This car went to that dealership for any work that needed to be done (oil change, tire rotation, filters, etc…) including a transmission rebuild last summer. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone to do any type of business with them ever again.
I called to make appointments for two cars and the person could not find them listed under me, sent me to another one and she could not either and had a recall on one of them that I got from another dealer and she said that since the cars where not listed under me they would have not sent a recall out. One car I bought in 2015 from Rochester Buick and the other my dad bought his there and we bought it three years ago and have had service done on both there since. I asked for Sean Halverson and had to leave a message on the phone, then called again since I did not hear anything and the third time I got Kevin and he did help. I also called back and ask to talk to Sean since he is now the service manage and left a message on some phone and never heard back from him. On the Acadia we got we wanted oil change and tires rotated and was quoted $99 and I said we bought the tires there with free rotation, so they dropped the bill to $79 and found a $15 coupon so now it is $64.92, this seems like a very expensive oil change and I was told everything was going up. Before my next service I will be checking on prices at other places. This was a real frustrating morning trying to get my two cars set up for service and getting a hold of Sean who helped us in the past. Being a long time customer on buying a car there and lots of service I am not sure about going back. Ed Feeder

I had an appointment for 8:00 a.m. Told them I had to have car done by 3:30....7 1/2 hours to get the car done......I arrived to pick up the car at 3:45...car was not done....they said it would be done shortly. I had an apptment at 4:00 I needed to be at. At 4:00 I asked them to take me to appointment and deliver my car when done.......they delivered at 4:30. And, this is the second time that they promised a car wash and didnt get one.....they said stop any time to get one.......I dont have time to schedule an apptment for car wash and who knows how long I would have to wait. SO DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!!!

I had service done, including tire rotation. After tire rotation, my alignment was off. I called service and they said they could not do the alignment until this week. I scheduled the appointment for Thursday, July 22. When I picked the tuck up, the service representative said they were not able to find any problems but the truck is moving to the right... and they did not have time to do the alignment. He also said that I would need to reschedule another appointment for the alignment (that is what the appointment was for). He also stated that since my truck was beyond 7500 miles (now at 10,000) that I would have to pay for the alignment. This would be the 2nd alignment since I have had this truck. The first one came at 860 miles. I shared that I would reschedule (although that puts another burden on my schedule when it should have already been fixed). I also shared that I dont want to have to continue coming back for an alignment, so would hope they could find the cause of this problem. I also shared that I do not think I should have to pay $99 for an alignment on a recurring GMC problem. So three concerns:1) I want my truck to fixed so I dont have to keep coming back.2) I dont think I should have to pay for another alignment3) When I have an appointment scheduled for a specific repair (ie. alignment) and then to be told that they dont have time and will need to reschedule again, is not acceptable.
The technician forgot to complete a couple of items, but we are all human & can a make mistake. All was corrected but I to return to dealership for completion. Thank You.

Called last wk, spoke 2 Kevin and shared traveling and long ways from home and needed a part installed. They ordered it and had avail when I arrived and had a loaner ready. That is service especially when 1 is on road and long ways from home.

I had a great experience buying this truck from Buick GMC of Rochester. Robert, Tyler and Lloyd did and excellent job. I was looking for a particular truck and I found it at this dealership, 450 miles away. I called and told Robert I will buy this truck but somebody needs to bring it to me. So he took a bunch a pictures (a lot) started the car so I can hear it, and I knew thats the one. this was in a Saturday afternoon 4:00 pm by Tuesday around 2:00 pm the truck was rolling down my street.

I was looking for some accessories for my new GMC Acadia, I normally avoid dealerships as much as possible because of so much poor treatment in the past. I called their parts department and talked to Jeremy and he made me feel so welcome and appreciated during my phone call. He was very professional and kind hearted and truly listened to what I wanted and gave me very good information about the accessories that I was looking for. I was insistent on what I wanted however after a great discussion he made me realize that some other items were a better value than what I had picked out so I purchased what he recommended and I could not be happier. Unbelievably customer focused! I highly recommend this dealership. Mark in Service Dept. went above & beyond my expectations. He went way out of the way to help when my daughters car need repairs just before she had a long trip. He not only managed to fit her car in for service at the last minute, but arranged to pick up the vehicle at her work repair it and had it ready at the end of the day. Mark was super friendly and demonstrates what customer service is all about!
I went in for an oil change. I had said I would wait. They told me where the waiting area was and when I went there a man was sitting in the small waiting area without a mask on. I told my grandson I did not feel safe as the man did not have his mask on and went out to the desk and said, there is a man in the waiting area without a mask. The general manager came out and said he would take me and my grandson to another area. We had to walk through the waiting area where there was now a second man on a computer without a mask on. We were taken to the showroom to sit at a table in the front windows. The men were not asked to put their masks on that were sitting in the waiting area. There were several incidents of staff anf customers without masks. As a practicing nurse I did not feel safe and I felt uncomfortable around others. This Buick dealership will not get my business again.
We purchased our 2020 vehicle in March of 2020 and after signing the papers and getting ready to leave the dealership, it was noticed that the rubber around one of the back windows was damaged, we were assured by the salesman and the service manager that they would order the part and as soon as it came in they would contact us to get it taken care of . Well after 4 phone calls leaving messages and finally getting very upset with the person on the phone, 3 months later it was fixed. Now last week our navigation system stopped working, error message said “The SD Card is Missing”. Called the service department again, after 2 times and no call backs I called one more time, the receptionist put me on hold to talk to the service man, came back on line said, he said if I were to look in the book that is in the car that came with the car, it would tell me what to do. Told her I did that and I sure didn’t find anything, her answer was, well that’s what he said.So, after all this we googled it, it was the easiest fix you could imagine. So instead of the service man making a happy customer by telling me where the card was and to push it back in the slot, they lost a customer. We will NEVER return!!
Since new management has taken over this dealership, it has been refreshing to see the great changes through out the dealership. I have found the parts department to be competitively priced and very professional service. They have a very happy customer and look forward to my next new car purchase soon 😀

The service lane staff were very helpful and thats about all the positive things I can say for this company. Outside of my experiences with the service lane staff, I cant think of a time where I felt so underhelped or undervalued as a customer.I had hoped that the quality I experienced with the service lane staff would be the same company wide but upon wandering the lot, I was immediately pushed towards more expensive vehicles that did not meet my needs. I felt as if I was being forced into a sale I did not want at a price that greatly exceeded my price range (I wanted a 4 door sedan and was pushed toward the large 4 door pick-up trucks, I specifically mentioned a desire for fuel economy). Therefore, I left and went to one of the smaller dealerships in town and was able to find what I wanted at a price that suited my budget with a dealer that took my needs into account as a buyer.

I locked the keys inside my GMC truck and did not have an extra set so I called this dealership to see if they could make me a new key even when they did not have my vehicle records because I was from out of town. I talked to the parts department and they were able to make a new key for me while I waited. Many thanks to the parts staff and Buick GMC!
I don’t know how the sales side here is. The free ride gentleman was nice. The receptionist was helpful.Service here through? All those awful stereotypes. Charged me $140 for a “repair” fee to tell me the car was broken (like I said) and would need to pay again for the actual repair job. I ended up going to another auto shop in town and got that “repair” diagnosis fee(see last note for why). My fault for getting ripped off through, I should have known better.What isn’t my fault?The lack of sensitivity training for service people. My “service consultant” made a number of assumptions and implications about my car that my “husband” should be contacted on. It’s 2020.I hope I just worked with a bad Apple, and that Buick GMC of Rochester doesn’t promote discrimination and 50s attitude in all their staff. (Like I said, the non-service staff where pleasant)So buy a car here, but go to the cities for service work.

We recently traded in a leased vehicle and started a new lease. We worked mostly with Cody as our salesman and also with the sales manager Tyler. From the day we stopped into the dealership, until the deal was finished, the experience was incredibly efficient, straightforward, and hands down the best new car experience we have ever had. We were instantly presented with the best price on a vehicle (no game playing), and that best price proved to be significantly cheaper than any other dealer in the region. We live two hours from the dealership, and Cody was wonderful to have everything streamlined so we could have most of the paperwork done ahead of time and efficiently get into our new vehicle since making multiple trips back and forth wasn’t an option for us. I will definitely be back for my vehicle needs in the future.

My first negative review ever. Extremely poor service from the salesman, sales manager, and general manager.
I purchased a used Toyota Tacoma from Buick GMC of Rochester in March of this year (2020) I worked with Austin, who helped facilitate the sale. When I first looked at the vehicle it appeared to have just hit the lot via trade in, and had not yet been detailed. On the test drive the brakes almost didnt bring the vehicle to a complete stop - the salesman admitting that The brakes were shot. Not being my first vehicle purchase, and as someone who worked at a dealership for a number of years - vehicles are supposed to receive a Safety inspection before they go on the lot for sale, this is to protect the consumer from driving a malfunctioning, or unsafe vehicle. I was interested in the vehicle, understanding that it would be detailed and receive a proper inspection. Austin agreed and we agreed upon the price. A couple of days later Brent Stockinger called me informing that they would have to up the price of the vehicle by $800 because they found a lot of things on inspection that needed replaced, included the brake calipers which were in very rough shape. Brent did a great job talking and negotiating with me and I thought that it was fair given the work that they were going to be putting into it. I asked if I could put at least part of the purchase on a credit card (this would let me earn a significant amount cash back, and offset some of the increase in price), and he said that would be no problem. Unfortunately everything after this was a mess. I was told the vehicle was ready for delivery, so I took an extended lunch - excited to pick up my new to me truck. When I arrived I met with the finance person (Lloyd). Lloyd was very polite just like everyone else...unfortunately everything he had was wrong. My address which would have been on the documentation and Title was no correct. No one had even asked me for my address...Then after Lloyd fixed that he gave me the new documents with the new address, and I looked at the price and it said that I had paid $1000 down. I had not - and I wanted to be honest so I pointed that out. A mistake that even he noted would have cost the dealership $1000. Finally after fixing the price, I stated I wanted to put some on my card - to which he explained to me that they could only put a specific amount....not the same amount that I was told earlier they could process. I understand that was out of his control, he wasnt the one who had stated that I could put part of the purchase on my card. Everyone was very nice but this was hands down one of the most frustrating cash purchases of a vehicle that I have ever had (and Ive owned my fair share). It seemed that there was a serious disconnect in communication between the different groups at the dealership. I wish I could say this was an isolated incident but a few months later my wife and I ran into a major headache VIA Subaru of Rochester.It really is a shame as Austin, Brent, and Lloyd were all polite, apologetic, and understanding. They clearly have some communication issues to work out and I would steer clear of them until they get the kinks ironed out and improve their customer service.

He knew the cars very well and down to all the little buttons and how to operate them. He was very open and honest as well. He is truly an asset to Lupient. Cant wait to work with him again!

I had been shopping around at different dealerships for over a week. As I would drive slowly through the lots, looking at vehicles, I was so surprised that hardly anyone at the dealerships came out to ask me if I needed help. Then I went to Lupient Buick GMC. A lady by the name of Celeste came out and greeted me and asked if she could assist me in anyway. She had the best customer service skills Ive seen in a long time. Although she was fairly new at being a salesperson at this location, she answered all of my questions and if she didnt know the answer, she immediately found it for me. I was treated like royalty be her and that dealership. Thank you Celeste for the great customer service. Its hard to find these days but you went above and beyond to help me. They are lucky to have you represent their dealership.
Pleased with most everything. Not real impressed with the detailing aspect. Looks like it was run through a quick car wash and that was good enough. Water spots, dirt under carriage. Spent several hours doing it myself. Sales and explaining of the vehicles features was well done.

Looked all over the Twin Cities for a used 2015 Honda pilot that was clean with low miles, no luck. Austin at Lupient Buick GMC took the time to send a very helpful and informative video of their vehicle which gave my wife and I the confidence and incentive to drive to Rochester from the northern burbs of Minneapolis. Im glad we did! The pilot was just as clean as described and we received a very fair offer for our pilot we were trading in. Based on our experience with other dealerships, the quality and honest service was definitely worth the trip.

My go to service person, Paul Greene, is fantastic! I waited for my oil change this time and was out the door in 40 min. Phenomenal! I just wish they had newspapers in the waiting area again! Nice enough people to buy from. However, its hard to not have buyers remorse when you find yourself dealing with major rust issues and paint flaking off in both your rear wheel wells the same year you bought your truck. I know I was buying used but didnt expect to be dealing with this issue on a 2015.I know lupient didnt put the rust there. They told me I could reach out to GM directly so I find myself resolving this issue on my own and wishing I had never bought this truck.

1/28/16 Weve brought our vehicles into Lupient a few times and each time we feel we are dealt with in an honest, prompt and professional manner. Today we brought our car in for a check engine light that had been on. I had set up the appointment to leave our car for the day. I arrived and Josh (I believe that was his name), met me in the car bay and asked about whats been going on. Long story short, he hooked up their code machine, read it quick and cleared the code based on our conversation. 5 minutes and I was on my way without being charged a diagnostic fee. They couldve kept the car for the day, did the test and charged me at a minimum a diagnostic fee. That didnt happen and for that approach, we will never hesitate to bring any of our cars there and would recommend their service department to anyone. Great team working there.Update 4/26: Brought our vehicle in again for routine service. Just wanted to note it was the same excellent customer service. Sean was great to work with was very detailed in explaining what was being worked on, what needed some attention in the near future and why. Well continue to be a customer with the great service they offer. Thanks!

Sean in the service department is an amazing person to work with. He cares about you and your car which makes me feel more comfortable with bringing it to the dealership. Sean communicates what step the service team is on in the service/inspection/ordering of parts and allows you to ask as many questions as you feel necessary. He is honest, and I plan on only getting my car serviced at the dealership because of how well he takes care of me as a guest. I am great full to have a mechanic team that I can trust. Sean and his team makes the horribleness of having to fix your car a little less painful. Thank you for taking care of me and my car. I appreciate it!
