Stopped in for a inspection on a Friday evening at 4pm knowing that it would be no available appointments for a walk in. To my surprise Billy Norris provided a superb experience not only squeezing my vehicle in with two hours left to close but also completing the requested service within a 20 minute window. It goes without saying that I will return for all my auto needs. Billy provided exceptional customer service which can only be attributed to his experience. His professionalism was very refreshing as it wasn’t your typical auto shop experience . The overall experience was 10 stars and I highly recommend this shop. Billy your a life saver and hope the establishment recognizes your value.

Ive been a customer for over 30 years. About 2 years ago i had new brakes installed on my 2008 Honda Civic. I was told by the manager that the pads, rotors and calipers all had a lifetime warranty, which was why i chose them over my regular independent garage. Within 2 years and less than 20,000 miles, the car failed NYS inspection at my independent garage by the mechanic Ive known and trusted for over 30 years, because the brakes were completely worn due to the calipers failing. Upon checking my Monro receipt I found that only the pads had a lifetime warranty. I was lied to by the manager at the E Ridge Rd site at the time the work was done about the rotors and calipers also having a lifetime warranty. As a long time customer Monro has lost my trust and i will take my further business elsewhere and will tell others to do the same. The fact that the brakes needed to be replaced again in less than 20,000 miles of normal use, also tells me that poor quality parts were used. And because the cost that Monro charges for other parts like calipers was double what my regular garage charged, the lifetime warranty on the pads is a scam and doesnt save anyone any money.

Place got busy and it took a bit to get the estimate. But the service was wonderful. Would definitely return in the future :)

I ran into a jam with my trucks brake system, Billy and Omar did everything they could to help me get out of it. Everything from taking the truck in at the last minute, helping me save money, and driving the truck back to my residence. I very much appreciate their Service and assistance. NO NOT EVER trust these people with your car!!! The customer service is beyond horrible. So rude! They had our car for over two weeks and kept promising us it would be done but then would call us a few hours before it was supposed to be done to tell us “the factory sent the wrong part.” When we finally got our car back, it wouldn’t start! Instead of checking it out they simply gave us a quick charge and sent us on our way. Now our car won’t start and they refusing to help us and giving us a hard time saying it’s not their fault the battery died. They are absolute con artists

I made an appt online, but they had to change it for another day, since they were booked up, which was fine with me. I went in for my appt and they took a look at my car rather quickly. My brakes were making a grinding noise. They fixed my car very quick! It might have taken them 2.5 hours. It was a good experience. The price wasn’t too bad, but getting a car fixed is never cheap. However, the price was decent.

The in person service was great! Billy was personable and professional. He took the time to listen and answer all my questions and concerns. I didn’t interact with the mechanics due to covid, but it’s clear they are a team. Another mechanic shop owner even tried to hire Billy while I was waiting! I was able to get my flat tire addressed, my oil changed, and my tires rotated as well as set up a new account in about an hour.

I will never step foot in this place again and will make sure none of my family and friends do also.

Very knowledgeable management and employees, When they tell you it will be done it will be done, hard to find a good shop nowadays I do believe I have found a reputable and hard-working garage....

The staff and mechanics are very friendly and accommodating. They explained in detail what was wrong with my truck. Also filled me in on other things that they noticed might need to be casted for in the best future.

Excellent customer service. Mine was a challenging repair, in terms of getting the specific muffler/pipes. The staff really pulled a rabbit out of a hat, and found what was needed. The shop is clean, proper masking, wearing of gloves and social distancing were complied to.

The waiting room is not the cleanest place, but customer service was great.

I live in Auburn and I was in town for a concert. I picked up a piece of metal in my tire and ended up with a flat. Ive used Monro for years and bought new tires from them, along with a lot of work on my vehicle in Mt. Holly NJ a couple of years ago. Stressed out from being 60 miles from home I saw Monro and went in. They were very busy, but I after explaining my situation, they hooked me right up. I saw Bill (the good Bill, not the bad bill...) and he grabbed my flat tire out of my car (Id already changed the tire), and told me to go to breakfast and hed call me. An hour later, he pulled my car in the bay, mounted my tire, and charged me nothing! because Id purchased the road hazard warranty when I bought my tires.I manage a U-haul store in Auburn and I fully understand the importance of customer service. The guys at the Ridge Road Monro were courteous, professional, and they really seemed to care about taking care of the customer. I was really impressed with how they took care of me. Thank you Bill and all the rest of the guys there. You definitely ROCK!

O man. On my way home from work something was acting weird with my car, so I call them up and they were able to see me immediately. The receptionist is soooo kind and understanding...and was really what i needed as I was so drained today. Not only that, but because what happened to my car was so minor (they were able to fix it quickly) they didnt even charge me. WONDERFUL SERVICE HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Wish I was able to give a 1/2 star... made next day appointment online got there to be told they couldn’t service my vehicle due to they don’t receive online appointments until days later. Had to reschedule next available was 2 days later.. when asked why they offer online appointments if they can’t service customers vehicle at that time manager stated he doesn’t know why it’s setup like that as this was not the first time I had scheduling problem with this particular shop... after getting home I decided to schedule appointment at different location brought my vehicle in at the time I requested online they found my appointment and service my vehicle with no problem

Every experience we have had here is positive. The customer service on the phone and in person with Dave and Joe are amazing. Always friendly and helpful even when they are busy.

Called to get my sway bar link replaced. Monroe muffler on Henrietta Rd replaced it in 2014. The manager Bill answered the phone when I asked how much it would cost he hung up om me. I called back and he bwgan overtalking me. I would never take my car to this location. If your smart you wont either. Customer Service is 50% of why a customer would want to do business with you, this store has dropped the ball in that department.

I came in at 6:30 with a flat tire and was hoping to just get another tire that I had remount so I didnt have to drive on the spare tire. The guy said unfortunately he wasnt able to help because they close at 7:00 and it was just him and one other guy. I watched both of them procedure to clean up the garages so that they can leave right at 7:00. I figured it was a long shot because they might have been working on other cars but apparently they were more concerned about walking to their cars at 7:01 then actually being open for customers until 7:00. Not sure why it says open until 7:00 when no one is willing to work until 7:00.

I set up a time to do an oil change online and got a confirmation email. I showed up to get the work done. They said that that time was filled... I showed them the email and they went silent. They didnt seem very organized. But I did come back a few hours later and got my oil changed. I might look somewhere else next time just so I dont waste another day.

Very happy. Bill and the entire staff are all very pleasant and fair. Never a hard sell just a consultative presentation of the facts laid out in a clear way, any many times with options.

I do most of my own mechanical work. I have used Monro in Irondequoit for many years for my inspections. I have never had the problem of someone trying to BS me into some un-needed repair at this shop. Staff have always been friendly and professional and service has been completed in a timely manner. I punctured my tire on a Sunday. Unfortunately the tire had too much damage and needed to be replaced, but David had me in and out in 1.5 hours. Great customer service.

I have been bringing our vehicles to the monroe muffler in gates for years and Tony has always treated us fairly.We recently moved to the area and I decided to take my car in to this location for the breaks to have an over haul.The regional Manager Tim was great and i had my car back in a few hours for a very fair price. I would highly reccomend this location for their fair prices and professional service.

Bill is one of the most friendly and honest people Ive worked with. Their service is fast and I trust them with my car.I came in with breaking issues and they found the problem to be my front break calipers. Looking online, they start to go after 75,000 miles and my car has 125,000 miles on it. They fixed it for an extremely reasonable price and I would go back to them in the future. My breaks work as good as new again, and my emergency break feels tighter and more secure.

Excellent service! My car was making a noise. They took my car upon arrival and diagnosed and fixed the issue promptly. They did a wonderful job!!!!

I dropped off my car at 9:30 AM for a routine oil change and to find out why my heat did not work. I called the manger at 3 PM and they had not look at it yet but he said my car was next. I called at 5 PM and they still hadnt look at. I got there at 6 PM and my car was exactly where I left it and needless to say they never changed the oil or looked at the heating system. I took time off from work to get my car there early in the morning and paid my co-worker to follow me there so that I had a ride back to work. I had to hit up another co-worker for ride back after work to pick up my car. They had my car for the entire day and did absolutely nothing. To make matters worse, the manager called me by mistake at 6:30 PM to say my car was ready. Absolutely awful customer service.

Had an extremely difficult experience working with David, he did not seem willing to get me in. Bill, however, was an amazing employee. Had some issues with their work and customer service. After getting the chance to talk to the regional manager things turned out okay.

I accidentally made an online appointment here for my NYS inspection instead of the location closest to me (and I had to bypass like three of them to get here) but Im glad I did. We had virtually no wait time, and they brought my car in, did the inspection and brought it right back out immediately - fastest I have ever gotten out of a service station for an inspection in the 20+ years Ive been getting cars inspected. Nobody tried to upsell me on anything, either which is a first. Every single employee we encountered was friendly, too. Nobody was gruff or annoyed by the pile of kids we brought in with us. They also didnt mess around with my seats or mirrors, which is also a first. We will definitely be coming back here for new tires in the spring.

Remodeling looks beautiful and really makes this auto shop feel high end and that your car is in great hands. Staff is kind and helpful and always looking out for us customers.

My car had some minor issues but overall was driving fine before I brought it to this shop. But now I stall at every stop light. The mechanics at Monro Muffler swear that they didnt do anything wrong but I brought my car in and it was okay. Then after I pay these people over $1000 now it barely drives. I dont recommend this shop at all.

Horrible experience!I went in for an alignment and magically had to fix my tie rod as well then Im told I needed two new tires (one of which I knew I needed) the second one he claims I needed because I ran over a nail. Wanted to charge me 105$ for the tire. When I told him I could get the tire done cheaper he said very nastily KIDDO, dont get a used tire I said its not used, brand new. Tires for my car ANYWHERE are less then 50 a tire! LOW AND BEHOLD there wasnt even a nail in the tire he claims there was! How convenient. THEN Im driving home and my alignment is WORSE now then it was when I went In and to top it off, now my AC and Heat dont work, literally out of no where.

Went there to get a quote on brakes. I tell them I hear a grinding noise. They make a point of telling me that they were going to fit me it because they did not want me driving away with bad brakes. I get the estimate and its $819.00 after tax, The gentleman said that my pads, rotors and calipers needed to be replaced. He stated that my calipers had seized and that is why I was hearing the grinding noise.Total pads and labor $109.00, rotors and labor$ 285.00, calipers and labor $432.00, brake system flush??? was$ 99.00 and hardware and surface prep costs totalling $19.00. I did end up going elsewhere to see if this was legit. Turns out that my calipers were fine, not seized up at all. A total bill of $277.00 was given to me, $140 for the pads and labor and $100 for rotors with labor. My brakes work great and no more grinding.

Worst experience ever! I have never met worse group of Scheming snakes in my life. I went in with a flat tire and $1,892 later they gave me back a busted ball bearing, mismatching rims, no hubcap and a crusty tire FROM THEIR SHOW WALL to replace mine with... i have called BBB and told anyone i can to STAY FAR AWAY from that place theyre evil!!! work done without consent and they even took a hacksaw to what they SAID was my old rim to show me the damage yet REFUSED to let me have it back as evidence... please dont put yourselves through what i had to endure. you people at monroe muffler should be ASHAMED!

WARNING!!! - This location is a car owners worst nightmare.They have done to me which i see others have suffered through. Damaging working parts to sell you new ones, misinformation, price gouging and an overall lack of humanity.My original engine issue went unresolved with added steering and balance problems. I wouldnt be surprised if they one day purposefully damage another part so critical someone has an accident (god forbid). After paying the MM bill of $1,900+ i ended up having to sell the badly chopped car for $800 when it should have sold for well over $4,500. Never again.

Customer service sucked! Scheduled me an oil change done in 1 hour just to come back in an hour to find out they never took my car in! Then he acts like he forgot! Smelled like weed coming from the restroom behind the desk! Will not be going back!

I went to this place two times and hated it the first time went for a light bulb replacement after waiting an hour the guy came back and said he couldnt service the bulbs because he had to take the bumper out they cant do that then i told him he told me he could do the job then he said hecan provide me with a do it your self directions i just got pissed and left. Then yesterday i called ahead to schedule an oil change the same guy tells me do drop it off for two hours approx. I said ok i can wait two hours its a little steep but i can wait since im here already. Two hrs later i came back and my car was in the same spot i left it i ask the guy what happen how come my car was not serviced yet and how much i got to go then replied its not gonna be for a while and that i can take my keys and go just like that!! i said to my self i will never step a foot in this place again so save your self a bad moment never come in here its not worth it

The worst people in Rochester. ..crooks....went to get some brake work done....manager tricked me into changing the front calipers by giving me a bogus price 287.00 in the beginning. After the job was done the price went over 500 dollars....what a loser....never will I take another vehicle there ever again....I dont recommend them to anyone.....total crooks....they are waiting to rob you....

They try to sell you repais that arent needed. I paid for repairs that they caused. I watched them take a screw drivet and start prying a part, then said oh thats bad. Ive reported this location to the state and the BBB. Avoid at all costs.
