I come here to have all my car audio done that I don’t feel like doing myself or that I don’t know how to do. They do an awesome job at making everything look factory like it came with the vehicle. I’ve gone to other places that leave wires exposed and hack up peoples vehicles dashes and door panels. You don’t have to worry about that here, they take their time and you will be happy with the outcome. Remember you pay for what you get, don’t go to these shops offering to do a job dirt cheap because you won’t appreciate the work like you will here!

I recently had DAVE upgrade the audio in my car and could not be happier with every aspect of the process. Chris is an expert in the field and helped me with component selection, quotes, education, and installation. The old adage you get what you pay for holds true. These arent Best Buy components and it isnt a Best Buy installation. Chris took his time with system tuning, a very neat installation, and thorough review of the system before releasing the vehicle to me. I have never experienced car audio at this level. Extremely pleased and highly recommend DAVE to anyone in the market for a car audio upgrade.

Amazing! They did a fabulous job replacing the speakers, adding a remote start and back up camera in my 2003 Honda odyssey! They are fast and professional and very friendly. We have had them work on all 4 of our cars and are always very happy!

My new X6M came with a K40 radar detector installed and it wasnt working. I took it to DAVE for troubleshoot and they fixed it in 30 minutes for just $45. Chris is super helpful and very knowledgeable. He took time to show me how to use the device. I highly recommend them. I am planning on taking our summer car to DAVE for a new Bluetooth device install. They have a huge shop and awesome waiting area.

I had an automatic starter put in my manual car a few weeks ago, and was so happy with how it turned out. Cost was what I was quoted and they took me out to show me how to use the starter and ensure that I knew what to do! Everything is working great still and I am so happy I chose to go here.

We have been doing business with Dave’s for years. They are unmatched in their knowledge, professionalism, and talent for their craft. This is the only place we will ever trust with our vehicles/electronics. They most recently installed a touch screen radio in my husbands truck. It was done in 2 hours and is better than we could have ever imagined. Chris spent a good 20 minutes freezing out in the cold making sure we knew everything about the new system and felt comfortable leaving with it. Cannot say enough good about this place!

DAVE installed an amp and subwoofer in my car. These guys are professionals - they will not oversell you on unnecessary items, and they are extremely knowledgeable about cars and audio. I care a lot about my car (its a long-term investment), and DAVE made me feel really confident about the whole process. 100% recommend these guys for car audio.

Called to get a price to hang a 58 tv they told me 1 hr service call would be $200!!!!!!i called premier alarms and they came out 2 days later installed tv for $117 tax included!! Probably wont ever call this place again at tbat ridiculous rate for anything.

Had SiriusXM vehicle tuner installed in my new 2021 KIA. Appreciated the walkthrough and attention to detail that was provided by the installer Chris. He made sure I was comfortable with using the new system. I would definitely use them again and probably will for my remote start. Thanks again!!

Had a great experience with DAVE. I brought my NAD AVR to have upgraded modules installed. Unit is almost 10 yrs old, but is now capable of 4K, Atmos, and my favorite feature: BluOS for streaming services or home network, and controlling it all from my phone even in the garage. Gabriel did a fantastic job. When it became clear that one of the modules was out of stock from the manufacturer (probably due to Covid), I ordered a part from an online retailer and had it shipped to DAVE. I gave tracking information to Gabriel and he made sure it was received and installed properly. It was very nice to see staff as excited about my system upgrades as I am. He performed all the installation, firmware updates, and confirmed everything was functioning properly. Thank you so much. My home theater sounds amazing and has modern tech.

Between car audio upgrades and remote starter installations, I just had my 6th vehicle worked on here. It’s not the cheapest place around but the quality and knowledge are second to none. I wouldn’t consider anyplace else. Their installation manager, Chris, not only knows his stuff inside and out but he clearly enjoys talking to others about car audio and I’ve learned quite a bit thru our conversations. He listens to what you want and works with you to come up with a plan. It’s always a positive experience! Highly recommend!

The staff at DAVE are professional, personable and care about the customer making the right choice for their needs. Their expert service department has been above and beyond helpful to us when our TV had a problem and was out of warranty by the manufacturer. Its really satisfying to do with a small business with integrity n Rochester rather than a big box store.

Had a sub installed in my car. Great customer service and very nice install job. Very pleased with what was done. Lots of demo speakers, etc. for you to try out and pick what you like too. Pricing seemed competitive and reasonable.

I have known and done business with Dave Lane for 25+ years. Knowing him as I do, I can sincerely say that Dave (and his wife) are among the nicest, most genuine people you will meet. They are honest beyond reproach and truly try in earnest to make each customers experience as good as possible. The people they hire are vetted very carefully. Of course, especially in the complex world of electronics, there are going to be mistakes and problems. But understand that the owner always wants to do the right thing. So if there is ever an issue, know that Dave will try as hard as he can to be fair. Hes very approachable and I obviously have a lot of respect for how he runs his business and how he treats people - with respect and integrity.

Great customer service as always! They go through all the features of the product and they try hard to meet all of your requirements including the pricing. I have bought everything from stereos, remote car starters and a projector there. You can get everything for your auto or home for video and audio.

UPDATE:Within a half hour of posting this review, the owner contacted me by phone. He was very apologetic and agreed with my point of view. He made everything right. Everyone makes mistakes. It takes a true dedication to service to fess up to them immediately and take steps to correct them. Thanks.I wish I could give them a good rating. The people working there are very friendly. The car speakers were great and installed flawlessly. However, upon checkout, they tried to charge me $43.20 more than the original invoice. They claimed there were extra parts needed. I would think they would know ahead of time what parts they needed. Thats what Im paying them for. In the event of an error, they should still honor the original invoice. However, this was not the case. They told me the amount due, and didnt even make a mention of the increase until I shot a questioning look. Then they gave me a 10% discount on the speakers, making the increase only $15.13. At the minimum, they need to be upfront about the fact that there could be cost overruns. That was not explained to me. And really, they should call me to ask whether or not they should proceed. But I tell you what, they were in a position of power, and I felt forced to pay them that extra money. I had two of my kids with me, and they had my car keys. Hopefully American Express can make it right for me.

I visited DAVE to and have never had better customer service. Daryl went above and beyond and helped me with things that I didnt even go there for! I brought in my car to the garage and Daryl fixed parts of my car just to be a nice guy, in addition to the work I asked to be done. He then showed me various speaker systems for my car and was very knowledgeable about all of the products. Thank you so much for your customer service, time and professionalism Daryl!

They were very helpful and gracious to fix an aftermarket starter that came with my car (not originally installed by “DAVE”)They tried different ways to save me $$$, and in the end they had it working perfectly. They made adjustments in their schedules to accommodate me. Truly a great job, guys! We need more companies like this, who really offer great customer service!

I called because I purchased a powdered sub and couldnt get it hooked up properly in my elantra. I called and they were great. They got me scheduled, did the whole process in less than an hour and a half after dropping it off and it sounds great. Took my 2009 Audi A4 for a troubleshooting on what seemed to be a faulty amplifier, as the entire MMI stopped working.After 1 hour of serious troubleshooting, I was pleasantly surprised to hear the issue was completely different and relatively inexpensive to fix. For the cost of a dealer diagnostic, the entire issue is now gone. Kudos to all DAVE Digital Audio staff, I am a happy customer!

I was recommended by couple of Best buy staffs to go to Dave Digital Audio because Best buy didnt have the coaxial cables I was in search of... Went in to have component speakers put into my Blazer. They were fine with me putting in my head unit and the year speakers in myself. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Didnt try to sell me on anything and gave me straight up answers to my questions. Let me decide what I wanted to purchase rather than trying to up-sell me like most places like this do.

Ive had many cars and I only let a few people touch them. Ive always had a good relationship with Chris he knows his cars when it comes to Audio. He has always done work that amazes me. I wish I could post pictures of the work he has done. He as a talent that a lot of people dont have . Its sad to say but I moved to Tampa Fl and now that I moved Its very hard to trust someone with my vehicle . I dont want to take it to Best Buy Where Im going to have issues with someone who doesnt know what theyre doing .Chris gave me his Personal phone number Im still in contact with him. He was able to place an order for my Kenwood Deck and sent me everything that I needed to get my radio installed into my car. Now thats what call building a friendship with a customer. I previously gave this establishment a poor rating due to some bad encounters I had with one of the employees. In the time that has passed, I had the opportunity to chat with the shop owner, Dave. If I had to describe Dave very briefly I would say that he is a very honest and upstanding person. He treats his customers with respect and genuine friendliness. I was compensated quickly and fairly for my inconvenience with only a few email exchange. Dave has turned around my opinion of the shop in a very positive way and I highly recommend this place if anyone is looking for high end AV equipment with professional support.

Just left DAVE from getting a subwoofer and amp install in my new 2018 HR-V and the guy who does the car audio is amazing! This is my second install here and I had one uninstall here as well and all 3 times were wonderful experiences. I will not go anywhere else. The car audio install is done so clean that nothing is ever showing. The car audio guy deserves a raise! Also an affordable install price for a phenomenal job. I highly recommend DAVE these guys are the real deal!

Stereo Shop installed a remote starter in my wifes car a few years ago, and when it started giving us problems recently they were great about it. Apparently one of the remotes had failed in such a way that it was sending a constant On/start signal to the car, and killing the battery.They disconnected the unit (for free) in advance of the actual service appointment to spare the battery, and then replaced the unit under warranty. No hassle, just took care of business. I am really impressed.

I inherited a 6 year old Eclipse navigation unit from a friend of mine this summer. He didnt have the A/V input cable, and it is discontinued so no places online were selling them. Stereo Shop found one in the back and gave it to me cheap! Great resource for an obscure need!

My wife and I walked in to DAVE to look around at a couple different things, and I wanted to touch base with someone cuz I had a few quick questions. A couple people who worked there just walked right by without even looking our way. I was looking directly at them as they passed by so they would notice that I wanted help, but no dice. Im not going to beg for service...so we left and bought elsewhere.

I brought my car here to have the stereo repaired, I was having an intermittent problem with the head unit. The unit had to be sent out of town (United Radio in Syracuse) for repair. The person who serviced my car told me that after the repair was done, the work would be warrantied for either 90 days or a year, he couldnt remember. After getting my repaired unit back, I was greeted with a THIRTY DAY WARRANTY on my $500 job. If you come here for repair work, make sure that you get everything in writing. My stereo works perfectly again, but if it goes bad again after the 30 days I am screwed. GET ALL ESTIMATES AND WARRANTY INFORMATION IN WRITING.

My mom had to come in and get a breathalyzer installed in her car and Darryl was amazing !!! She had really hard time learning to breath properly and he was extremely patient with her and explained many methods to her! I started to get frustrated and he even talked with me while I waited for him to install the breathalyzer to calm me down . I mean he was truly a God send ! Thank you so much Darryl you rock!!!

Dont confuse this Stereo Shop with the one in Greece, NY either! Dave Lanes is the real deal Stereo Shop. I bought my first Grados, my first NAD components, and my first PSBs here, and their recommendations and products have only ever fostered a greater appreciation for the music. Top notch!
