I love the location and the staff is friendly and speedy. Its a great spot to walk or ride your bike too. Perfect for families with lots of kids as their sitting area is ample. Beware though you will be close to cars and sometimes people drive spiritedly, so watch your kids in case they start running around.tl;dr Perfect Daisy Queen with fantastic service. Spot a little tight.

I dont care how long I have to wait in line to get my blizzard! I will patiently wait, and wait. Many times each summer, and this is the only Dairy Queen Ill wait at. If I end up at another ice-cream shop in general, I wont wait if its taking the people more than 2-3 minutes per customer. It must be nostalgia, of an easier time, when I was 5 or 6, and my siblings and I would go here with mom and dad on hot summer nights. We would wait for 30-45 minutes in the line that wrapped around the building. It has always been worth the wait, for that blizzard!

This DQ does not have food. The descriptions is misleading. Went out of our way to have lunch here and they dont sell food. Need to correct this.

I ordered the cotton candy thing and they just gave me plain sprinkles in vanilla ice cream for $5. Yuck.

Pecan mudslide - thats the best sundae that you can get at DQ. They dont have it on their menu. But when I ask for it, I see the big smile slowly blooming in the cashiers face. Whoever it is, they get so enthralled to make this ice cream. Best thing to do. Little things like this make life very memorable.

We had to wait a half hour to be served inside(were the only ones inside), while they kept waiting on drive thru customers who kept coming the whole time after us instead of when it was our turn. I finally got mad and said something and they just looked at me saying nothing.

Of course the location is perfect but the actual quality of the ice cream left much to be desired. I’ve been to about 3 other dairy queens internationally and unfortunately this was the worst.We sat out front in the summer and there was so much spilt icecream EVERYWHERE.Since covid it seems like they are doing a little better with cleanliness and training. Worth a try if you’re nearby.

This place is conveniently located and has friendly staff. It is usually full so it may be hard to find a parking spot and not all the flavors will be in stock but otherwise theres no better place to find ice cream in downtown Rochester.

A bustling spot in downtown Rochester. Anyone visiting must go to this Dairy Queen location at least once. It is a very convenient location for making quick stops. Parking can be a trouble as well as the noise level of it being next to a major road. Still would recommend any day.

Local staple in dtown Rochester community. Its in good walking distance but if your driving there the intersection it sits on can make it hard to get in and out. Messed up my order not worth going back to fix. Parking lot is super tight and on the small side.

Awesome place, just a fyi you can pull in the parking lot and park but its limited....furthest north drive is the entrance and furthest south drive is the exit!! Enjoy and remember its a super busy area so stay vigilant and patient.

Good standard Dairy Queen. My issue with this location is every time I got a blizzard and they do “the flip” to show that it’s frozen. 70 seconds later the ice cream turns into a pool of liquid. And every time I came here they had a sign up that they are out of the blizzard of the month.

This place is a zoo. While the ice cream is good I dont think the wait and inconvenience of trying to park within walking distance is worth it. Maybe when I no longer need my walker Ill try it again. Then Ill only have to deal with the parking and long lines.

Best summertime treat place in Rochester. Huge selection of soft serve yumminess. Pretty much guaranteed to see someone you know there, or at least get to pet a friendly dog.

I have been coming to this Dairy Queen since I was 5! Has always been a great place to go for the family or even alone the crowd can get pretty busy on the weekends or later in the day but the line moves fast so dont let the length of the line deter you from going in.

Dairy queen ice cream is the best! Fast service too. Parking here is a nightmare though

The only complaint I have about this DQ is that it is too small to handle the volume of traffic and people on a warm summer evening. Other than that, the building is easy to spot, it is s clean, it is quick, and it tastes good, just like any other DQ around

This place is has very good soft serve, blizzards, and other treats. my mom thinks this place is overcrowded and she Shrugged her shoulders when I asked the question? She likes the vanilla cone she usually gets.If you are looking for some decent softserve go for it👍

Usually very happy with this location but today I ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard with chocolate icecream. After getting down the road I realized there was no cookie dough just chocolate icecream. Then I found a hair in the icecream and my daughter did too. So disappointed.

There is no seating, parking is terrible, and location is tough to get in and out of.Besides that, the ice cream was great and the employees were very kind and fast.

No resemblance to the customer driven icon this place was until it changed ownership a few years ago. Robots behind the counter. Nurse Ratchet making sure none of them is engaged in conversation with a customer or using one micron more of product than the formula calls for. Dull, unfriendly and over-priced. Got your order wrong? Too bad! No refund remake or even an apology. Move along because there are other customers behind you waiting to be abused.

Have only been here once, and they were out of chocolate ice cream. The outdoor seating is the only seating, and its nice if you dont mind traffic 10 feet away.

Why would you close at 9:30 pm on weekend nights??? Ever since the ownership changed, I’ve heard from multiple families about how Downtown Rochester’s DQ is longer the same, and I couldn’t agree more. I struggle to understand how an ice cream shop as popular as DQ, in a community with TONS of young families, chooses to shut down at 9:30 on weekends when the previous owners used to be open until 11PM and later, with consistent lines out the door that late.

Service is very fast and friendly. There ice cream is creamy great tasting, especially the vanilla.

Asked what kind of ice cream cakes were already made (seeing as they werent marked) and was told that there was a layer of chocolate cake, cookie crumbs and brownie in the middle and vanilla ice cream on top. We cut ot open and therebwas no cake and no brownie. What a disappointment.

Be prepared for long lines that move fast. Good icecream, sundaes, blizzard, slushies, and coffee frap. Frozen cupcakes and cakes in the freezer for special occasions and can buy dilly bars.

Showed up at 8:38pm for some ice cream. Posted hours online are until 9pm. The doors were locked and the employees inside just smiled. When I tried to call the had the phone disconnected. Sanders will be our new place!
