I needed to take a Zoom meeting as we were driving cross country and this was a great place to do it! It was worth driving a little way into town for a nice place to sit, plug in, grab a smoothie and work for a bit.

Nice little coffee shop with great environment.If you are visiting downtown Rock Springs stop by this lovely little shop. They have a nice drink selection as well as breakfast items. I had the chia tea latte and it was quite enjoyable.If you are into train spotting this is a great place to just sit and watch the freight trains as well. Unlike a lot of the other renovated freight depots I have been in this one is fairly quiet and never felt the need to hold my drink and watch the table bounce around like others I have been in.Decor is really well done and there is even seating for groups of 8. Has a small library as well. There is patio and outdoor seating.

We stopped here for lunch as a part of the Rock Springs Historical Walking Tour. We were greeted by a very friendly cashier! The food was delicious and the service was great!

GREAT train station conversion with friendly staff and good beverages! This is a surprisingly cute little town and this cafe is a comfortable place to take a bit of a break.

Would give ZERO if i could. took 40 minutes to get one coffee and a bagel sandwich. when i went up to ask where it was the very rude cashier just told me it would be out soon. after ten more minutes i asked for a refund and she Refused. not how you handle an unhappy customer. also in the middle of ordering my food the women in charge interrupted me just to basically yell at the cashier for not bringing someone’s food out fast enough. they need a lot of organizational help. also feel the need to add that my iced coffee was half water and the bagel sandwich was soggy and the side of fruit consisted of 4 grapes. wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The beverages are always perfect, as are the food products provided for purchase. The atmosphere is calm and intimate. My favorite coffee shop for a sit down.

If I could leave Zero I would. 50 minutes to get a latte and bagel. And no apology.

I love the nostalgic ambience! Coal Train coffee provides the perfect atmosphere of peacefulness, relaxation and conversational engagement.

Service is on point. Food is delicious. Homemade soups go fast so get there early. Tomato basil is my favorite but they do not have it everyday. Broccoli cheese is also a favorite. Great variety on the menu for drinks, teas, coffee, sodas. A must visit when in the area.

My kids and I love hanging out at this place. Coffee is amazing, as well as every food item we’ve ever tried. I recently rented the space to use for a bridal shower and it could not have been a better experience. Denise was extremely accommodating and flexible to work with. She and her daughter, Emily, made delicious food for the party and were kind and efficient preparing coffee for the guests. I would give ten stars if I could!!

Went in to do some hvac programming for work on my computer. Was asked to order something right away or I have to leave. I told her I was going to order lunch when I was ready to eat lunch and would not use her wifi. So I used my phone for internet. Then she came up again and asked me to order or leave. I ordered lunch and watched everybody else chat, work, and take up tables. I was doing the same thing as everybody else. Why me?

Unique setting - old train depot. Iced tea is very good and their caramel apple pull-apart is excellent.

We enjoyed potato soup and a BLT it was delicious. Coffee to go was very good, chai latte and pumpkin latte. Service was great. Atmosphere unique. Come check it out!

Amazing coffee shop in Rock Springs, amazing service— they treated us like regulars and gave us great suggestions on our way up to the Tetons. The interior seems to be an old renovated train station with eclectic antiques that make for a special atmosphere. To say that this place is worthy of your business would be an understatement!

Came in for coffee and soda today and had the woman who seemed to be in charge make snide comments toward us for exercising our social responsibility and wearing masks. I commend the young man on service today who was being responsible, exercising care, and wearing his mask, but the overall picture is disgusting. Beware appearances, customers, because this establishment - with some exceptions - is staffed by the most ignorant and inconsiderate of American society.

Such a cool little gem! They have amazing pastries and coffee made fresh each day! Their sandwiches are so good! And they do a homemade soup of the day that you cant pass up! Friendly service and all over awesome environment. Love that its in a historic train station!

Worked here about 2 years ago. cant get over the fact the owner was stealing my tips (i was 17 being paid minimum wage). also they don’t actually wash your dishes, they just dunk them in sanitizing water. hope you like that soggy egg piece stuck to your pancake.

This coffee shop is awesome. The location is great, everyone was friendly and helpful and coffee and food were really good. Will definitely be back!

Its not an advisable business practice to put a billboard sign outside the business saying to come on in for coffee, were open, only to find out once your inside they have a private party and want you out. There are several places to get coffee in town. I, however, will not be back here. Incompetence really endears you to the public.

This place is awesome ! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products, wonderful selection and great tastes! I enjoyed all of the decorations and encouraging scriptures to read throughout this store. Keep up the good work !

My 6 year old went there had hot chocolate. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and had a great atmosphere.

The coffee was delicious, it was such a cute little set up too! Definitely represents the town well! The staff was entirely friendly and had amazing attention to detail. We also were traveling from Washington to Colorado and my friend misplaced her phone in the bathroom there and did not realize until we were almost 3 hours away. The manager was extremely sweet and agreed to send it back to our home town! Not a lot of super generous people like that nowadays! We definitely hope we can come back someday!

I wanted to love this place! My first visit there, the service was amazing, the hot chocolate was perfect but my cinnamon roll was so hard I couldnt bite it or cut it. Mid morning treat... So I licked the frosting off and threw it away. So sad:(.

Very cute and sophisticated spot in town! It approximately 60°F outsise sunny and slightly windy I got the cafe mocha amd it hit the spot. Granted Im from Dallas Texas so this time of year in August its like 95°+ there so this was a refreshing change!

A quiet, friendly place. It feels pretty open, so I wouldnt call it cozy, (it is a former train depot afterall) but nevertheless an excellent place to get great tasting breakfast bites and coffee, with a cool and unique space.

I hosted a baby shower here and it was without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had at an establishment. Here are the facts: the owner called me THE DAY before the shower giving me multiple stipulations as to what we could and couldnt do. We cleared everything up and then the day of the shower she confronted me three different times during the party, embarrassing me about the food we had brought in, the time we were taking to clean up and during our time there, she told my 80 year old grandmother to take the garbage out and berated my 9 year old daughter. By the end of the shower my 36-week pregnant sister was in tears over how her shower ended. Denises behavior was wildly inappropriate and completely uncalled for. Over half of the guests in attendance bought drinks from Coal Train Coffee shop, giving Denise more business than had we not been there. I love more than anything to support our local businesses but not at the expense of my family and friends.

When it comes to appearance, this is one of the best coffee shops I have seen anywhere. The seating is superb, the Wi-Fi great the coffee good but when it comes to finding an electric plug, that is a different story.

I would like to start off by saying I was excited about a new coffee shop in town. Even more excited when I Was invited to a baby shower that was being held there as I could try the coffee. My excitement stopped once I heard that the day before the shower the owner called the lady hosting the party and let her know she could not bring food in after this was agreed upon weeks prior. She stated it was due to being “burned in the past and it takes her profit away”. Once I arrived at the shower I was standing among all the other guest and the owner came over to the ladies hosting and very loudly said “ this is a bit much I mean you said it was a chili bar” as she was throwing her hand up in the air and repeated it three times. What type of management is this? I was in shock and embarrassed that an owner would act this way. After leaving I heard that a child, pregnant lady and elderly women at the party had an encounter with the manager that approached them over a trash bag, trash in a trash can and being in her building past 6, when they were cleaning up from the baby shower. Is this what management is coming to that they think they can be rude and disrespectful to others? I will not step foot in this coffee shop and not recommend it to anyone for the fact that management is unfriendly and flat out rude to others.
