Stopped in today just to get a price on new sunglasses, was helped by Stephanie, and the experience was fantastic. She was vey helpful, and I ended up buying glasses, just based on the level of service, and great price they were able to give. My husband and I were in to the E State store last Monday, the 19th. We worked with Serena to order two new pairs of glasses for my husband. She was a real treat and knew what she was doing…from picking out frames that would fit him well to finding us the best price. We had her cracking up and she was pretty funny too. Me and my boyfriend went in Wednesday after work. It was our first time getting an eye exam and first time needing glasses. The staff was so helpful from the time we walked in the door until the time we left. They explained everything step by step as they went or before they did anything. The store manager Tammy was helpful,informative and very funny lol she made us more relaxed and comfortable. We were lucky and were able to walk out with our prescription that day. Sorry I can’t remember her name but the girl who did our glasses I can thank 100 times because we were there past closing hours and she still filled our script. I highly recommend this place 100%!

Great experience! Is two diff entities for prescriptions & eyeglass purchases. The eye doc did measure my eyes right. Tori was awesome & super helpful in getting through all the formalities of ordering two new pairs of glasses, made it fun, even did all the math, longhand w/out needing a calculator.

I had an appt. Aug. 13th, I went in for my eye exam which with my insurance shouldve only been $10 but was $29.99 because they did another test which they didnt tell me was going to cost me more. I called them after I received my EOB and they told me that depending on the dr. it was required (the dr. didnt even see me until after the test was done) but told me I could opt out next time. 1. How could I opt out if I didnt even know about it? 2. if its required how can you opt out? This is the 1st time that this has happened to me and I believe its because of the male eye dr. they have there now. Ive never had any issue before, theyve always told me what tests would cost extra, and honestly this time I thought I had the same tests that I had last time when it only cost me $10. I will not be going back to get my eye exam done there again.The positive was the lady who helped me with picking out glasses was very nice and helpful.

I am blown away by my experience here. I had a wonderful eye exam but the part that I enjoyed the most was working with Serena. When it came time to discuss frames, she took the time to educate me about my prescription and measurements. Not only that but she was personable and gave me the feeling that she truly cared about my experience and eyes. The cherry on the sundae was when they told me that I would be taking home contacts and a pair of glasses that day. Initially, I thought I would need to come back for the second pair, which was still great. While I waited the 30 mins I was told that the technician took the time to dig to find the addition lenses so I could take both pairs home. So awesome. Best eye exam experience I’ve had, ever, in 20 years of needing glasses!

My visit to Eyeglass World few weeks ago was my first. I had scheduled an eye exam for that day. My experience was outstanding. I was greeted and temperature checked before I filled out all the paperwork. Everyone was very friendly. Then after a short wait I had the preliminary checks done and then was called into the doctor’s office for the exam. The doctor was Svetlana. Svetlana was very thorough and spent a lot of time explaining my needs and answering my many questions. Then I picked frames and finalized the purchase which consisted of a pair of no line bifocals and a pair of sunglasses. I was told both sets would be ready in 7 to 10 business days which was perfect for my driving vacation 2 weeks later. Well my bifocals arrived on time but the sunglasses were not ready after 10 business days. I called in the day before my vacation (12th business day) and got ahold of Tammy. I asked if my glasses were in, she checked and apologized that they were not. I explained my situation with vacation and how disappointed I was. She then put me on hold and called the lab where the glasses were being made to find out the status. They informed her that there was an issue with my lenses and it would be a couple more days. Tammy knew that wouldn’t work for me so she immediately offered a temporary fix to help me out. She said she would pick out another frame and have their in store lab put sunglass lens in them with my prescription for me to use on vacation. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated her quick resolve. The glasses were ready that evening and they worked perfectly for my long drive. When I returned from vacation I went in to pick up my special sunglasses and had the opportunity to meet Tammy. What a customer focused individual! She turned a tough situation into a very positive experience. Thank you Tammy for everything! Because of you and your other team members my family and I will be back to Eyeglass World for all our eyeglass needs. I will also recommend Rockford Eyeglass World to all my friends. Thanks again for excellence in customer service!

I was expecting to buy one pair of glasses for the price of two I think its like 75 bucks something like that give or take a little. So first the woman that assists me was very helpful. I definitely wanted a womans opinion. So the hardest part is first and thats picking out the glasses so you look good and I told her bluntly and I need her opinion and she did so very openly. Sorry I forgot her name but, Short woman glasses very knowledgeable and nice. . Finally after picking out the pair we sat down and she thoroughly described all of my options. Turns out I need bifocals but dont like the line,. Had to pay extra for no line. Had to pay extra because I wanted no glare, had to pay extra because I wanted lens protection, and finally I had to pay extra for the only good deal I think other than the buy one get one at no cost is the for $40, if I scratch my lens or breaking arm I can walk in there and get it fixed at no extra cost before I believe the next two years. But as I was waiting for the total, it was like a drum roll. A whopping $674 was my total. OMG what happened to the buy one get one for $70 something bucks? Well it turns out that deals fine unless your eyes are jacked up like mine. And if you have a special taste for what they have to offer as far as the no line, the no glare etc etc. Basically all that adds up. So if your eyes are basic eyes and youre not wanting the specialty everything then youre okay. But if youre wanting basically everything that can be offered watch out because it will add up and you will face the choice of saying screw it and pay for it or leave and do it all over again. I chose to screw it cuz I wasnt going to do it all over again. But in all the woman the place is definitely a place to go for professionalism and detailed information regarding your eyes and what you need to see correctly and a choice of a number of styles. they will sit you down and tell you everything in detail. I give it in A- not A+ probably because of how I was led to believe that the second pair of glasses would be totally free were close to free. But you can say thats on me for being so naive apparently. I will say when that happened she did go step by step on why everything added up to be the total of $674. So again thats on me. So in all the experience was very professional, very detailed and describing what I need for lenses, detailed on what everything cost and headed up to be, and all around good experience. I just couldnt get my safety glasses. Didnt have enough money. LOL.

Bought 2 pair of glasses from them. One pair never got used. When I went to get new glasses they REFUSED to use the frames I BOUGHT FROM THEM. I went to one of their competitors Eyedeal Optical instead, and they had zero issues with using the frames I brought in (from their competitor). Unsure why they eyeglass world wont use frames I bought from them, other than trying to pull in every last dollar they could from you as a customer. I doubt Ill ever go back.

Horrible experience! First time I went, I was VERY clear I needed the glasses that night, it was for the DMV so I could pass the eye exam. I go through the whole deal, no glasses, was told to come back the next day. Well now the DMV is closed for Covid-19. I come back for the contacts, again I tell them to make sure they a doctor will be there to show me as Ive never have contacts (that was my first pair of glasses at 46) I get there, you guessed it! No doctor! Mind you I live in Harvard and work in downtown Chicago. I convince them to give me the contacts Ill figure it out myself and the package is empty! Still no contacts. I will NEVER return!!!

Went for spectacles for my kids and I. Daniela, was the specialist that helped us. She was amazing, she got all three of our frames and my lens lined up. She didnt rush took her time,laugh n talked. When we went to pick up our glasses she even remembered where i said we were going for dinner that night and asked how was it. Each and every year I will be going to eyeglass world and asking for Daniela. Great customer service is hard to find now days. If you do go to Eyeglass World ask for Daniela .

Place is a joke. Last time I was there I had a contact exam and a glasses exam. Even left with a pair of contacts. Went there today for my yearly exam and was told that my insurance won’t cover until March. Alright, fine. Can I please have my contact prescription so I can get a pair of contacts? Their response was that they didn’t do a contact exam last time and that I was only rung out for a glasses exam.So how is it that I left my initial exam with a pair of contacts? Thanks for the bad experience, the service here is awful. The only reason I went back today was due to location. I will gladly drive the extra distance to see my normal eye doctor.

Edit: my one complaint was addressed by corporate really quickly. Thanks guys!!My family and I went in for an exam/glasses on 12/23. The optometrist was great, she handled my sons nervousness perfectly. The store manager rang us up/took our glasses order since the store was so busy, she did a wonderful job.I do want to mention that the exam pricing is strange/misleading. I was quoted a $10 copay per exam (three people in my family), so I figured the price would be around $30 or so. The actual price was about $90, apparently the rear eye imaging costs $20 an exam. When I brought up that the charge I was quoted was $10, the cashier told me that the imaging was optional. No one told me the imaging was optional, nor was an additional charge brought up. I dont think this was an intentional bait & switch or anything like that, I think it was just miscommunication. Regardless I think this is really inappropriate, and in retrospect I dont think I should have paid for the imaging. Bad luck, make sure you ask if youre going to be charged for imaging before your exam.

We are repeat customers. We absolutely LOVE Tammy Kreinz, the General Manager at the Rockford, Illinois location. She has a fun personality, she takes her time with people ensuring that they are happy customers. I was absolutely thrilled to walk in and see her face and I was even happier when I realized that she was going to be the person helping us. 100 Quadrillion stars are not even enough for Tammy! She is a true gem!!!

On 3/4 Jasmine helped me pick out a pair of safety glasses. She was able to fit my eye exam before the doctor was going to leave. Jasmine did a great job in getting my bifocals, she was kind, and Im glad she was there to help. Today I went to pick up my other glasses and Jasmine/Stephanie took care of me, with adjusting and fitting. Plus I ask about the slight discomfort with my safety glasses and they were happy to fix the problem.I can say Ive got 2 new friends in the world, happy customer.

I went to 3 offices this morning starting at 10am before I went here. The others said no doctor or booked until next week. My glasses broke this morning and did a quick super glue fix before driving 45 minutes to Rockford. I got there at noon and was fit in before the doctor sent to lunch. They gave me my eye and contact exam. I got trial contacts and a new set a glasses today. Thank you to the staff and Daniela for helping me today. You all were so kind and very helpful!!!!

I called this afternoon to set up an appointment and got in right away. The process was quick and easy. Within just 3 hours I had two new pairs of glasses! Awesome staff, would highly recommend to anyone looking at getting new glasses.

My husband and I went there to get glasses for him and contacts for me. The Dr was great to work with and the glasses for my husband only took 40 minutes. The customer care person Natalie was great!!! I would go back there just because the service was great and really talked with you to find what you wanted. Natalie was a big help to pick the right lens and didnt try to sell us something that was not needed (which I hate and happened when we went to Americas Best). She was great and knew a lot about the frames and lens that Eyeglass world carries.

I dont ever feel the need to leave raving good reviews about a doctor visit...but iv never left one feeling this good. 3 weeks ago I took my wife and daughter in for new glasses. I was paying cash because their insurance would not cover what we wanted. My daughter had no issues. My wife on the other hand had no issues with her glasses but had issues with her prescription sunglasses. The associate, Tiffany, had my wife try them on. My wife stated that it was darker on the lower left in the left portion on one of the lenses.Tiffany said it was impossible because the technician dyed them at the same time. So my daughter tried them on and she also stated the same thing. Tiffany became irate and snatched them from my daughters hand and said with attitude....well youll have to wait another hour. My wife gave her attitude back and told her that we wanted our money back because in essence she was calling them both liars. Tiffany started crying and said she had a migraine and was having a bad day. Who cares? You dont treat cash paying customers like that. In the end the sunglasses had to be redone because they were indeed off balance. My wife picked them up a week later because she was afraid of running into Tiffanys again. I guess we will take our business elsewhere.....Americas Best never gave us issues......but you decide for yourself. Cash is king in my book....By the way this was at the Rockford location.

Called to inquire about getting a pair of glasses same day as they advertise. When. I get the they say that it is possible. After paying for an eye exam now its not possible. So they tell me they can expedite the lenses coming in and I will have the the latest Friday but most likely Thursday of the following week. They lied. If I would have known they would lie just to get my money with no concern for the amount of time I am now forced to spend with my vision impaired I would have gone elsewhere. I would suggest anyone else do the same.

Scam.... they quote you a price, say they clearers in through insurance. After you pay agreed amount you get bills for difference. Don’t trust what they quote you. They will send it to collections. Even after the insurance pays the amount they stated Eyeglass World will try to collect money.

I found the staff and service to be pleasant. Getting 3 pairs of glasses there the service was what I expected it to be. In a few days I had my new glasses and I a quite happy with them.I took my daughter there for contacts a few months later. They had her contacts in stock and that was a huge improvement over our last eye doctor who had to order them. We took her in and in less than an hour she walked out with a years worth of contacts.Im not sure where these negative reviews are coming from but on 2 occasions my family and I had great experiences.

Rude management. Went there for years but after today wont be going back. Unprofessional management they have there. This woman told me to come in for exam n it was too packed when I went n they couldnt take anyone else. Then the woman had attitude n said she wouldnt approve any faxes I get for ordering until I update my exam through them. They lost my file,etc so I waited n received attitude when getting my prescription record.. $400+ they normally got from me with a set of contacts n two glasses.. Not no more, Im going elsewhere now. Hope Corp sees this.. Losing money isnt nice

Glasses in an hour, providing that you have your current script in hand. Seems that they are unable to place your glasses in the onsite equipment that enables them to read the prescription of the eyewear you currently have. You are told you must have an eye exam,which if luck is on your side could be anywhere from a 3 hour wait,or 2 day wait. Rude,condescending attitudes . Will not be providing them with any of my business ever.
