We are so thrilled with the upholstery work done on our bar stools! Just first rate. The fabric purchased here was Sunbrella and was well-priced. Ask for Mr. McCombs for your upholsterer. With all the hundreds of nail heads on our four bar stools, it must have been no picnic to do. But each one is perfectly placed and beautiful! Mr. McCombs is an expert!
I am so Happy with Sunbrella fabric purchased there in 2010. It has weathered Florida’s heat well on my enclosed patio.I’m buying more Sunbrella fabric now. So sorry for owners’ unexpected, untimely loss of his dearly loved wife who passed away 1 year ago. It had to be devastating to him & their business.Customers ought to inquire of nature of delay & be sympathetic to owners’ misery when a husband wife business.I was a sole business owner when suffered devastation and my customers understood, sympathized with & worked with me during the worst of it. I was blessed by them.
Still waiting for the fabric I ordered over a year ago. Nothing but excuses. The last thing I was told was the fabric arrived at UPS and he would let me know when he had it. That was April of last year. Luckily I was able to contact my credit card company and get my money back.
Mark was the most helpful and showed me the best material for my 31 ford at the best price. Please dont listen to all the negative comments, this place was the best place...price, quality, and service. Got a great deal.
Agree wholeheartedly with the negative comments above. I ordered two types of fabric from their standard catalog in August and was told it would take two weeks to arrive. I prepaid for the whole order, to include FedEx shipping. I stopped in six weeks later and was told it would be in that weekend. I went in again two weeks after that and was told the fabric was on backorder and would be just another couple of weeks. By the time I had called back in December I had been told that one fabric order had arrived and the other would be there by the coming weekend. Needless to say it’s now mid March and I still haven’t gotten my complete fabric order. I also can’t reach the store to request a refund for the second fabric order. I have no idea if or when I’ll ever receive a refund. Definitely NEVER do business with this company!
I echo what David said. I have purchased fabric from this store for many years but this is the 1st time to have them do the work. NEVER again!!!!!!!!!!! Very sad to see a business act like this. Two months in and I still dont have my love seat back. Use at your own risk.Edit - if you do business with this guy you need to rethink your decision making skills. I started this process with ordering the fabric the first part of June and I still dont have my loveseat. I had friends over and they had to sit on folding chair because what he told me would be 2-4 weeks is now in month 3.
The owners are criminals and this place should be shut down. My parents trusted then to reupholster a family heirloom. After 6 months of asking them for an update about the project, they finally went in and took their chair back. They stole my parents money, lied to them about the progress, and eventually gave us back the chair untouched after more than 6 months of saying it was almost done. I hope the owners get sued or at least shut down. I am at leas thankful that they got the chair back, as it is very sentimental to them.
We had a great experience at Medlins Fabrics and Foam. We were spending a few weeks in Cape Canaveral Florida in our Motorhome and wanted to get new, more firm, foam replaced in our L shape sofa and dinette cushions in the RV. Totaling 8 cushions in all. We googled to find a foam and fabric store and Medlins came up. We went to the store with a cushion and Mark, the owner, was so very helpful to guide us in selecting new foam. Over a 7 day period, he ordered the new foam, cut it, applied the top backing layer, removed the foam from our old cushions and installed the new foam. He did an excellent job. We had to take the measurements to him and then our cushions. We were only without the cushions for one night. We are so very pleased with his work, his attention to detail and his professional help. We will be back next winter and have him redo the front drivers and passenger chairs.
This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever received. I dropped my antique rocking chair off in early May with the understanding it would be ready in mid July. The only communication that took place was me calling Medlin’s. I called in late July to be told it would be two more weeks. Again, no phone call from Medlin’s. I called approximately two weeks later and was told it would be two more weeks. My chair was finally delivered sometime in late August. Upon close inspection I realized what a miserable upholstery job had been done. I returned my chair to Medlin’s in early September, at which time it was offered to me to redo the job at no charge. I was told at that time it would be ready prior to Thanksgiving. I called back in early to mid December to be told the status of my chair was unknown and that it would be done within a week and it would be perfect. Today is December 27th, I called again and now my chair won’t be ready until the first weekend in January. I have zero confidence in the proposed delivery date. I highly recommend taking your upholstery business somewhere else.
He took my 4 chairs to be be complete they told my in 2 to 3 weeks. After many promices they would be ready this Saturday i got the sheriff to help me get my chairs back not completed after 2 months of waiting. Wish i had read the coments before i let him take my chairs.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. On September 15th I contracted for 4 cushion to be made and paid over $500. I was told that it would take 6-8 weeks. After 2 months I called to check on it and was told another two weeks. I again called and yet again was told two weeks. As I had the number of the seamstress, I called her directly and was told she had not yet received the foam or fabric. Finally another week passed and the seamstress contacted me to say she had received the material but only half of it. The rest to be delivered in a few days, it took another week to get the remaining material and the cushions were finally completed on December 27th. As the owner of Medlins never contacted me, I assume ALL the issue was with him..using my funds to pay for other jobs, putting me off until receiving more influx of cash. Please save yourself a big headache and Dont use this service.
DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY! THEY RIPPED ME OFF - TOOK MY MONEY AND NEVER GAVE ME MY CHAIRD BACK!In October 2018 I paid over $400 in materials for 2 chairs to be reupholstered. It is April, 2019 and I continue to get excuses and the chairs are still not done. I stopped by twice and they are not at the shop. Ive called and texted over 20 times in the past 6 months. CHAIRS WERE NEVER FINISHED OR RETURNED!
