It went great Diego knows his business and it was extremely helpful. 5 stars for him
Worst technical support ever. If the cable was not a monopoly in our town with one single cable service provider Ill switch in a heartbeat. Cant wait for ATT dsl or optic to be available here to switch. even worse customer service, dont get me started on billing that keeps going up and up.
Theyll give you the run around and keep anything they may owe you. Theyll find a reason to keep your refund. Customer service is horrible and cant even send you emails to confirm what they say. Ill never use them again. Id rather go to dial up then use suddenlink.
While many other users of this service have expressed several problems, I can say with confidence that my experiences with Suddenlink have been professional, courteous, and effective. Mark set up my apartment with a modem/router quickly and efficiently, and was very friendly and helpful.
We were out of internet for 2 weeks because one of the linemen cut our wire and had to go through 4 separate calls(all waiting 20+ minutes being on hold) and 2 technicians coming here before anything was resolved, and then never got the promised credits we were supposed to receive for our lost service. Every call to get these credits has been a struggle with more lies and a complete lack of empathy from the customer service department; with no way to get in contact with someone useful and no signs of any compensation I warn you, DONT trust this company into your home.
Constantly harassing with calls about upgrades, cell phones, and tv service. They can’t even keep my home internet connected reliably. Awful customer service
-5 STARS…the service is completely Trash…..Incompetent. Unprofessional. And NO, I will not reach out too you on Twitter or Facebook.
Thats it for me and Suddenlink. Horrible, horrible, horrible. DeltaBroadBand it is! Poor service and my bill increased by $10 for the last three months, no explanation. Good riddance Suddenlink!!!! The only reason for the 1 star is because I cant give 0 stars to have the review posted!
From March until August we had 5 technicians in our home trying to repair an issue with our suddenlink service with no results. All the while we are still paying our full Cable bill of close to $200 monthly. Our cable went off completely for 3 days when we had to call for the 6th service person. Calling in to Suddenlink is beyond frustrating, more than once they argued about how often we had called and what was happening in our home with our service. When they finally understood that we could not use their equipment, we ask if we could have a reduction in our service since we are being billed for service we are not receiving. We were told yes when everything is repaired! The 6th repairman traded out all three of our boxes this corrected our problem and when we called for our reduction in our bill for the 5 months of non service we had paid for on the two small tivos and the 3 days of no service we were told we could expect a $10 credit. We have been customers for over 30 years. Maybe it is time to leave suddenlink they are not what they were in the past. It is unfortunate. I agree with earlier post, they only care about the money, not the customer, not the service they provide.
Worst customer service in the whole world. I still haven’t been able to cancel my service because of company is nearly impossible to speak with. Not only could I barely get a hold of them over phone, I was turned away at the actual business location because “they don’t do that in person”. This experience has been stressful for no reason. I do no recommend to anyone at all.
Terrible. Extremely poor internet service. Over the past three weeks, it’s been going in and out multiple times a day. Over the past three years, there has never been constant quality internet connection from them. When getting a technician out, nothing is resolved. I’ve tried twice. Customer service is also subpar. Unfortunately, there are not many options for where I’m at in Ruston, so Suddenlink had to be chosen. If you can find another internet service provider, it will save you a lot of frustration.
I Was Going To Sign Up With Suddenlink But With All Of These Awfully Bad Reviews From Years Ago To Present Time, I Best Opt Out From Being A Victim. Thanks For The Reviews.
Always experiencing outages. Called customer service to file a complaint, and they couldnt give a reason for the outages and troubleshoot unless the internet was currently down. Absolutely ridiculous.
Moved a little over two months ago to minden Louisiana. They were out to set up the internet the next day. But in the total time I have lived here. There has not been a single day I have not had trouble getting to use my internet. I spend more time trying to get it fixed than I do using it.
This company is horrible..cannot speak to a representative..wait on hold for 1hr..continued to charge me for services after a F1 tornado destroyed my home in Minden La..still cannot speak to a trepresentative😡😡😡
Ive been a Suddenlink customer for close to 3 years now. When their internet works, its pretty good. They dont use contracts which is a great thing, but thats where the benefits stop. The internet regularly goes out, rain or shine. In the past two weeks alone, my internet has gone out nearly a dozen times for no reason whatsoever. No regional outages were reported and a router reset fixed the issue, but having to constantly reset things is a major annoyance.I also recently (a few months back) upgraded to their gigabit plan which included an upgraded router (supposedly one that supports those speeds), but the maximum download I ever got was around 620 down, well below the 1,000 I pay for. My first guess was that the router wasnt capable of those speeds and I think I was right. When researching the router, my specific model didnt actually show up and the closest model I could find wasnt capable of handling gigabit speeds. I know it wasnt an issue with bandwidth either because the speeds were consistently throttled no matter the time of day, whether it was 2PM or 2AM.Unfortunately, Ruston has limited options for international. You have Suddenlink and Comcast or AT&T depending on what area youre in. Like I said, when the internet works its fine, but you likely wont get the speeds you pay for, and your internet will randomly go out regardless of outside factors.Being free of a contract is a huge plus because youre able to cancel easily and finally be free of their poor service and monopolized market share. Thats the only reason this isnt a 1 star rating.P.s. please dont reply telling me to reach out on Twitter. Your Twitter support team wont help your internet be more reliable, your prices be more reasonable, or your speeds to be more accurate.
I just moved into my apartment like two weeks ago and I’m already experiencing outages. This has happened three times now. It’s like one minute I’m online the next I’m not. It’s to the point where I will never recommend this company to anyone and I am about to switch to a better company. One that will never go on and offline as much as sudden-link does. If you want more clientele and better reviews how about you get better service. I know it’s a snow storm right now but this has been happening before the snow even came into the picture.
I just paid my bill and theyve added 10 extra dollars to my account!
Suddenlink is the worst. Literally. This is one of many one star reviews, and heres why. If you, as a student, need internet to properly engage with your classes at Tech, but your internet doesnt work, youre out of luck. Suddenlink not only will tell you that nothing is wrong with your internet, but they will turn around and offer you a service visit (but they wont tell you that said service visit costs $60, on top of your overpriced but non-functioning service). Suddenlink is the most horribly run business in Ruston, and they are free to do it because theres no other options. If a single competitor opened up in Ruston Suddenlink would go out of service before you could blink. Thanks, @Suddenlink for disabling so many peoples education!
A potato could do better. I have the plan that says up to 400 Mb download, yet it has never gone above 110 Mb with a wired connection. The whole company is a scam.
Horrible service. Goes down every day. No other choice for internet here- ugh.
Easily the worst internet I’ve payed for. Paying for the best connection they have and the best internet isn’t even near better than their cheaper connection. I play online video games and constantly get connection errors with a lan cable connected or my internet just cuts off randomly
My business have been without cable for about 2 weeks now- consistently calling customer service for assistance and they do not answer- i guess since their working from home and only a few is working answering the phone- however been here today waiting on technican and yet have shown up- Suddenlink has poor service and I asked since ive been calling to get this resolved- were their going to retro my account for the days i have not had service.
Cost keeps going up but my service went down. Went from paying $60 a month for 400 mbs to now they only offer 100 mbs for $89 and it constantly goes out now and no one ever answers when I call
They straight up didnt show up for the appointment to install internet Saturday. So I call customer support and they say the soonest available time is Thursday! So now Ive went 2 weeks without internet. Im also tired of things going wrong and I have to sit on the phone listening to automated voices for an hour long each time.
It took me 20 minutes to leave this review the internet is so bad
100$/month for a service that has daily outages, and you cant speak to a human for any support. Whats worse, the ruston office is closed this week, all for something already paid for but Suddenlink isnt providing.
Suddenlink is a complete joke. Their “promotional deals” end randomly and you will be charged extra on the next bill. They will not notify you that the “promotional deal” has expired and by the time you see it on your bill it is too late. No matter what you say to the customer service employees they will tell you that they cannot help because the bill has already been finalized.I would give them 0 stars but that is not an option.Greedy company with awful customer service employees.
Offshore call center..only know how much you owe but not what fees are for.. you cant call local office..
I am leaving a one star simply because zero stars was not an option. This is hands down some of the worst customer service I have witnessed in a while. As a small business owner you learn the value of customer service & so when you deal with a bigger business you’d think they already have a grasp on that. They double charged my account $100 and then cannot figure out why I am frustrated with just not getting a refund and it just being in limbo as credit on the account. I wish there were more options for service providers in my area because I would hands down not work with them if you have the option. 100% would NOT recommend.
Had nothing but problems with Suddenlink and of course there is no one local to help. I always wait a minimum of 30 minutes on an automated line just to be connected to someone who does not know what they are doing and barely speaks English. I wish there were more options in my town!
Suddenlink is basically a scam. I paid 127 dollars for an install. 10 days later on my scheduled date, they claimed it wasnt safe and rescheduled for 2 weeks later. I then drove up to the closed Ruston suddenlink, and was told by a worker they arent even doing new installs. So i basically paid for an install that wouldnt have happened at the next date either. And then took 40 minutes on the phone to get MY money back. I truly hope this place goes out of business.
Absolutely horrible service. My bill has gone up from 57 (after tax) to 88 dollars over the course of 4 months. Was told I would be getting a $10 credit a month, was lied to, no such credit was ever applied and in their system it read they denied me for it, even though they told me I was approved.Called again today, was on the phone with the associate, whom told me that they got my bill down to 56 (before tax). The associate told me 56 three different times, and said 60 something with tax. I then asked to to speak to a supervisor to get this bill taken care of (because of the ten dollar discount that was never applied), only to be connected to a supervisor who assured me that my bill had been lowered to 66 dollars, a ten dollar increase from what I was told only 10 minutes before. I was then gas-lighted telling me that I heard them incorrectly.I asked for her supervisors number and was given a number that connects to a cooperate office which routes back to the same customer service.I wish I could give them 0 stars but in order to list this review the minimum is 1. This company is garbage. Horrible company. DO NOT GET THEM at any cost. They lie to you, they will gas light you, and their service goes down almost weekly. They do not care about their customers, they only care about money and will prove it to you again and again. They have prove it to me by ending chat sessions, and hanging up on me.I doubt my bill will be 66 dollars next month. As soon as I can, I will leave. This horrible service has made me take into account the service provider in the next area I move to, because no matter what, my next provider will not be with them.
I gave one star because 0 wasnt an option
Apparently you dont care much about your ratings, but maybe this will do something. We got charged TWICE for one month of internet when we switched the bill to a different account name. When we initially discussed this with you, we were told the charge would be removed. Instead, we were sent to debt collectors. I havent been able to get ahold of you, your sister company Optimum (which we are for some reason for debt under their name instead of yours), and I havent been able to get a hold of the debt collectors. I am beyond angry. YOU are the reason that so many people in Ruston hate it here. Your monopoly over this area is out of control.
Would give them 0 stars but google won’t let me
This company has to be the worst Internet service provider. We have no other option for Internet in our neighborhood in Ruston. The service is very unreliable. Specifically the past couple of weeks it is in and out countless times throughout the day. This has made working from home nearly impossible. It is ultimately going to result in compromising my job. We have called to voice concern several times and nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Why does Ruston not have any other option in most places in the city?
Horrible customer service. We paid for service installation then after 5 weeks and 3 separate days of having to take off work to meet the service techs, the supremely rude service supervisor tells us that we cant get service in our area. And now we have wait 10 days for our refund. Save yourself alot of time, money, and headaches by calling someone besides Suddenlink
Suddenlink is a company that targets areas with little competition and charges its users for far more money than its service is worth. Suddenlink takes advantage of its users having no other service providers to use, and increases bills by ~$20 whenever they feel like it for no reason whatsoever. Furthermore, they throttle your internet, meaning, even if you pay for unlimited internet data, they slow the speeds to a crawl whenever you use certain websites, or really, whenever they feel like it. The customer support is entirely unqualified and will frequently say things, that, if you mention to other employees, you will be told they are completely false. The only way to get actual support is to either threaten to cancel your subscription, or file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission, after which you are suddenly very important in their eyes. Do not do business with this corrupt company.
Great
Absolutely horrible. Service goes out several times a week, most of the time it’s out for days at a time. Called technical support but they tell me they can’t assist me. Requested a service visit, the worker that showed up wasn’t wearing a uniform or anything identifying him as a worker for suddenlink. His vehicle wasn’t marked either. Internet is currently down as I type this, going on day 4. I’ve called customer service twice today with no resolution. The prices are way too high, they’ve raised prices several times on me. Time to leave this provider.
Let me start by saying I gave Suddenlink 1 star because 0 stars was not an option. This is the absolute worse service. I have had nothing but issues for years. The price is constantly rising (so we know it is all about money for them) and the service is still awful. The internet is up and down all the time, but it is 100 dollars a month alone. The TV really is not much better because both will stop working for no reason. When I say no reason I mean the wind is blowing and it is not raining. The only reason I did not switch a long time ago was because there were no other options in my area. As soon as I find another option (I do believe I have) Suddenlink is done in my book. Once last year the service was out for days and the people in the office said they did not know why so I contacted customer service again and again, but again I got recording saying we know the internet and TV are not working and we are working to fix it. Well after days of no service I asked them are you going to prorate the bill and they said we never knew it was not working and you did not call. I said yes I did and here is the recording and they still played crazy. Their objective is clearly to get over on the customer because we dont have an option. The only company as bad as they are so far is Verizon! I wish someone would run Suddenlink out of town. Cox Communications was so much better!
I dont know why 0 stars is not an option. Truly terrible customer service and they do not care about you at all. Theyre a monopoly in my small town and so I am forced to use them. I spent 2 weeks trying to dispute a charge they never informed me about and they kept saying theyll escalate it to their supervisor but I still havent gotten a call back and I STILL got charged. I dont know how anyone works for this lousy company.
I have been having issues with billing for a while. One of the corporate agents applied a bundle and specifically told me to pay $38 for the month. Now I am having to pay double and a late fee and Suddenlink doesnt have the decency to admit fault and take responsibility for this failure. I am switching service ASAP to a lower quality provider in order to avoid paying for failed services. The corporate customer service is disorganized and not helpful.
Even though Im paying for a higher speed internet at least 3 times a week it doesnt work. Technicians came out to fix it and still did nothing. Also, heres the real catch, one of the technicians no-showed me and now Im being charged for missing an appointment although I was home all day and no one came here. The next technician who came out reported this to their superior, but Im still being charged because theres nothing suddenlink can do since the technician marked in his system that he arrived and you werent there
At any cost, pick any company other than suddenlink. They have the worst employees at every level. They have the worst customer service imaginable. They have the most inconsistency from a corporation I have ever seen. Take my warning, and do not purchase ANYTHING from suddenlink.
Terrible customer service. Internet/cable was supposed to be installed over a week ago. Still waiting. They showed up Friday and said they needed to disconnect the previous owners stuff and rescheduled for Monday. On Monday the tech showed up with a poor attitude and was rude. Stated he was going to grab our cable boxes and would be back. He never showed back up. We went in to talk face to face after being put on hold for over two hours. The ladies inside were very friendly and frustrated as well because they recently switched to a corporation and have no access to the techs! They told us they could reschedule and that was it. Today, they were supposed to show up. They are supposed to call before arrival and never called so we missed them. Currently have been on hold for 30 minutes now. This is ridiculous! Wish we had other options here besides this company. I don’t want to pay them a penny. If there was an option for negative stars, this company would receive that.
I have made four appointments within two weeks trying to get service started in my home and each time they either have to reschedule from outages, the tech just doesn’t do the job and leaves, or I don’t get the ‘warning call’ like I was informed I would and they show up late outside the specified time window and I miss them because it wasn’t during the scheduled appointment. I still don’t have service and the only reason I’ve tried this hard in the first place is because they are the only provider.
Spotty service, and they constantly increase prices. Also, no one told me that I was getting newcomer deal, so they yanked up prices even more after 12 months. Charged me for a modem when I used my own (although they did refund it when I called in). They seem more worried about nickle and diming you with fees than providing reliable service. If they keep raising the prices every other month I might switch to dish. It isnt as good, but Im sure itll be cheaper. At the time of writing, service has been going in and out constantly for two days. They also called me for months trying to get me to upgrade. I guess when I said no they decided to tack on the charge and call it a fee, anyway. The speed is as advertised, at least.
Wish there could be a zero star button because that’s what they deserve.Their customer service is complete trash. They keep telling me that they’ll call me back but never do and say they want to help but of course never do. Been calling them for 5 months due to them charging me after I disconnected my services 5 months ago. The situation is still yet to be solved. I will go without internet before having to use suddenlink again.
Very inconsistent and unreliable. McDonalds WiFi is better.
They’re constantly raising their prices for mediocre internet speeds. The customer service is terrible. I suggest you look at all other possible options before settling. Unfortunately, they don’t care about improving because they’re one of the few internet providers in my area.
Good luck finding anyone who can actually help you. The contractor failed to do their job and there is no way to hold them accountable. They cant help you in the office, they cant help you on the phone, they cant put you in touch with the contractor. Been a Suddenlink customer for nearly 20 years. Time to explore other options.
Suddenlink has the worst customer service we have ever dealt with. Once again our internet service is out and once again I am dreading their lack of attention to this matter.
They are big on selling you expensive content but service is almost non-existent. One star rating is very generous.
Been waiting on setup for over a month. Go with literally any other option.
Frequent and extended periods without internet connectivity; repeated service calls without help. Technicians never arrived for service appointments. Recommend any other provider- Suddenlink is high cost, poor service. Run don’t walk away!
It’s been 1 month without internet when my neighbors have it. They constantly say it’s due to outages, but I’ve been hearing the same thing for two weeks now. I’m honestly close to giving up at this point
I’ve been trying to get internet at my place for 2 weeks I’ve had 2 appointments and both were cancelled by Suddenlink.
Our community was built 2 years ago and we setup with suddenlink to have them all cable ready. We are finding not all of them were done. Now Im told we need to rehire an outside company to do the ones they didnt do.
Calling in to the main office is a joke. Turn off the robot and let me talk to a person 😂. You wont get any help from them, its a waste of time.
Poor service and very expensive. Seriously thinking of switching to a different company. Horrible service
There service is very very bad. we are out of internet from last 8 days. They couldnt fix the problem is 8 days!
Terrible customer service, have had no AC for two weeks now because their technician fell on it and busted the outside unit where it had to be replaced, crazy thing is they DID NOT even tell us they ruined it. They are still in the process of getting a new unit to us so as I sit here sweating buckets, I called to see if I could get some credit towards my bill to help correct the issue because I havent been able to stay at my house to even use the internet and they said No we are only correcting our mistake. WELL WOULD YOU HURRY IT UP! COMPLETELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Worst internet I’ve ever had. Can’t even keep a signal and crashes constantly. If any internet providers want to come to town and just lift your slightest pinky, then you’ll do better than suddenlink.
I am aware of the storm causing outages and 1-2 days is understandable. But i have been without wifi/cable today making 6days. My account is up to date and ACTIVE. There are places that were hit much worse then me that have wifi as well so Im very unsatisfied with the service right now.
We have had Suddenlink since April and the internet has NEVER worked as it should. Continuously losing connectivity. We have had 5-6 service visits since then and actually charged for half until I added insurance. I don’t feel I should have been charged since the problem existed since installed. We have had a splitter changed, TiVo box changed out, modem changed, and as of late the external cable changed and STILL not working. To top it off the technician did not even come back in the house after laying new cable to see if it was working.I have had to leave work for every service visit and wasted hours on the phone reporting issue. I have requested to speak to management and you would think I am asking to speak to The President! Needless to say, I have not to this day spoken to a manager, been reimbursed any amount for a service that is not reliable, and STILL after 4 1/2 months do not have reliable internet service. The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced!!! However...they are always well versed in saying on a call “I understand your frustration”. Obviously they truly do not understand or my issue would be repaired.
Second year in a row they cant make the scheduled installation date, but this time they let us know a whole day before I left for my apartment. Thanks.
Sadly, the only internet provider in Ruston. Have been trying to get them to extend service 1.25-1.5 miles from their service box with an up and coming neighborhood. Greeted by a lady who appears to dislike the company she works for based on her attitude. This reflects the business as a whole in my eyes. After giving them grief on what can be done to extend service, I’m put into contact with a lady that I assume is their supervisor(?). Called her on occasion to see what corporate or somebody has advised on my request to have our service extended. She claims that her headquarters or corporate office will get back in touch with her. That’s been over 3 months ago and I have yet to hear anything. When attempting to get in touch with the people who have a hand in getting such service, the local office does a good job of causing the consumer frustration. It’s as if the only reason the employees work there is so that the consumer cannot make contact with the people who can get services out to others. The customer is greeted and if any complaints arise, call the “corporate” line to follow up. This is a joke as you’re put into contact with someone that has no knowledge of what your issue might be. I feel lucky to have obtained a supervisors number.Suddenlink, I’m trying to bring you guys business by extending the service out to 40+ homes. Unfortunately, I believe the customer rating of 1.8 out of 5 stars (as of 12/31/18) is an accurate rating of the business. I believe most of the customers, current and former, would agree that some changes need to be made.
Gave me the ( run around) had an 10-12 o’clock appointment never knocked on my door just left a note and fled the scenery. Told me they’ll be back within the next hour and never showed back up. Furthermore I paid for first month AND installation fee just for internet, also I have the 100 mbps plan which is a FREE installation package so I’m still confused on that, now the services are down until the fourth of September. I’m upset because i am a paying customer who yes, already paid and still don’t know when I’ll be receiving my internet. I hate to give bad reviews but this is unacceptable,
I’m paid up to date and my next payment of $93 is due in TWO days... however, not once have I had internet during the last few months. Whenever I log into my account it shows that I am paid down, and when I talk to suddenlink they say the same thing, but if I try to connect to the internet I am rerouted to a suddenlink page that says my account is restricted because I owe over $300. When I talk to customer service about it all they say is it should be fixed and they don’t know what’s wrong but they have yet to do anything about it and still want me to pay my bill for services they are not providing. Terrible customer service. I will be canceling my account ASAP.
Poor workers. Unhelpful
I stay on the phone for hours a few trying to speak to someone about my issues and still haven’t got anyone to talk to me. Called back and ask for new service just to try and they picked right up then put me on hold again and was on hold for 45 minutes and just hung up.
Customer service was horrific
Nothing better than spending your hard earned money on internet only for it to go down multiple times a week! They only care about money not their quality of service
If I could give 0 stars I would. The cable and Internet service provided are horrible. The Internet is no where near as fast as what we pay for and the cable stops working at least once a month. We then have to call and try to schedule an appointment which normally takes 2-3 days. When they finally get here, every time they come switch out our cable box and says it should be fine now only to incur the same problem the next month.
Been over charged my this company. They have messed up and charged me when I told them I wanted to cancel. The one receptionist I spoke to was not very nice either. Wish we had another provider and this wasnt the one one.
I made an appointment and no one ever showed up and no one called me to tell me they weren’t going to show up. Needed internet very badly. Not a very professional company.
The specific issues are consistent internet problems, 30+ minute phone calls to fix it, increases in my bill when you now offer better internet packages for less money that Im passing, and the list goes on.
Quick service and pleasant staff.
If you ever talk to a human, the customer service is o.k. Dealing with Suddenlinks automated system, however, is infuriating. If there was a viable option in our area for high speed internet, I would drop Suddenlink like a hot potato!
Was on phone literally all day. The experience was awful.
The customer service representative was very helpful! I have had good experiences with Suddenlink! Everytime I have needed assistance they have been helpful and efficient!
They should refund everyone who was affected by the outage due to tornadoes in Ruston and other areas. A day off, fine, but it’s been 4. It briefly returned yesterday and I thought this nightmare was over. Now it’s out again. They are incompetent idiots and I hope another ISP moves here and drives them out of business. It’s disgusting how they treat customers when they know the customers have no other options. Also, I signed up for immediate updates about outages and they texted me five hours after it was back - I’m lucky I checked the internet myself. Now of course it’s gone again, but they apparently don’t know what “immediately” means, so I suppose I’ll check once an hour. I have so much work to do that requires Internet that it’s making me sick.Even when it is working, it’s slow and goes out randomly. When there is rain, forget about having internet from these morons. The only good thing I can say is that if you manage to talk to a person, some are quite nice, though generally not helpful. If you have ANY other options, please stay far away from this company, especially if you work from home full or part time and require internet access.
Poor service. Services that I do receive are not competitive to regional cable services and the website is difficult to navigate.
I paid for internet installation 2 weeks ago and Im still without internet! One excuse after another.
I have used this company for over 6 years in both my business and residential. The service continually goes out, the company claims there is no scheduled outages in the area, yet the outages continue constantly. The bandwidth we pay for is never the bandwidth we get. Peak or non-peak hours doesnt matter, we get 15-20% of the speed package we are paying for.It is frustrating to have no fix for these issues and no other service provider to seek out.I hope this company decides to become professional with their service provision and infrastructure maintenance.
Terrible customer service. Internet is unreliable. When contacting for help, I was sent to a national live chat where the first person said he didnt know the answers to my questions and couldnt tell me who to contact for help. His suggestion was to just wait and try again. The second person I talked to in the same day then told me I was not authorized on the account and could not help me. The prices went up $10 without a warning as far as I know and their referral program where you can get a bill credit for referring people never works the first time and you end up sending them customers and neither you nor the customer get the referral credit on your bill. A new service provider needs to come to the area and replace suddenlink completely.
The only thing that doesn’t have spotty service is the bill.
The worst customer service! Horrible attitude at home office and unwillingness to help in any customer issue. They are only trying sell you something or an “up grade.” Ruston home office is HORRIBLE!!! I wish another company or someone else would come into town and give them competition on same quality of internet. ANOTHER CABLE COMPANY! They would go out of business within a year or less GUARANTEED! Everyone I know hates dealing with the home office, the call centers, and the constant outages or “brief interruptions” constantly!! Long waits on hold only to get someone who can’t ever help you or you get “transferred” or put on “hold” only to get hung up on.... lol I hope somebody at corporate is doing their job and reading this to to something about it. Just look at ratings!!
Not complaining about local office they are great. Called 888 number. I guess they tell all callers they are VIP customers. Wait time is at least 30 minutes.
Constantly goes down for service maintenance or a service interruption. No notification of either. Then when you try to call into tech support the automated system is so frustrating, it might as well tell you sucks to be you, Thanks for paying your overpriced internet bill. Seriously $110 for barely 150mbps. I really wish someone else would put something in but alas it wont happen cause ole Slink would prolly get hurt feelings about losing clients(cashcows).Getting down off my soapbox now. but seriously, if you can get something other than Suddenlink, get it.
First, the negatives. Abysmal store hours and locations. Store reps knowledge varies, but at least is better than what you might find at a typical cell phone company. Customer service online usually tries, but their response is almost always to unplug and play. Sometimes they wont talk to you unless you can prove you are the primary account holder. Their criteria for this decision seems invasive. While their technicians are more concerned and friendlier than Comcast, the basic cable equipment that runs into your house seems to have a few inherent problems and may need updating. You may gt to know the technicians too well. Now the positives. Technicians dont seem to have the rigid service call quotas found in other segments of the industry. They actually can and do solve problems, unlike someone from Cox or Comcast who seems to be following the playbook of blame it on the customer. Store personnel seem to steer you away from over spending, which is a nice change. Replacement equipment is free or available for a nominal fee. Thats nice if your dog has eaten your remote control or your cat vomited on it.All-in-all a very good experience for a cable company or any communications provider.Note that Suddenlink is supposed to be purchased by a French multinational, so dont expect the level of service to necessarily stay the same.
Six, just keep raising prices at the drop of a hat, didnt even want to even give one star. However, the lady I spoke with yesterday, was AWESOME.
Worst company to have service with go elsewhere high price and be bad service you cant complain unless you walk in no phone number to call and complain called corporate and was told that you had to go call sorry we cant help you
Cuts out constantly. Then they decide to increase the bill a year into service. The area already struggles economically so all they will be doing is losing more customers.
If you can avoid this office do so at all costs. I’ve never had such a bad experience with an internet provider as I’ve had with Suddenlink. Anytime I move I constantly have technicians out trying to fix my internet problems, the people in the store usually aren’t very knowledgeable or help, I think I’ve been handed their technical support card and number atleast 5 times now and told to call them when I went to the store and waited in quite large lines just to be told “I don’t know here’s our corporate call center number.” I’ve had to deal with them for 4 years in Ruston, so glad I’m moving somewhere with better ISPs and more competitive markets 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Probably the best internet in my area but it’s impossible to get a actual person on the phone to answer questions
Horrible experience! It took them 3 weeks to install my internet and wifi. Each time I had an appointment they wouldnt come, I would call and they would say the came and knocked and no one was home when I took off time from work to be their! So they wasted my time and money if AT&T wouldnt have had a late day to come I would be getting service with them instead. Each time I called there was a problem with my account and instead of going in and fixing it they claimed the program they used would not allow them to make changes and they had to cancel my whole account and start fresh meaning the date and time I had for them to come out would be gone and id have to wait longer to get a tech out. one nice man working at the local sudden link told me they do this so that their name is on the sale and they get the commission dont be fooled demand they keep that same account! if I could do 0 stars I would
Have been dealing with this company for 5 years only because there are no other options in my area, and I have hated every minute of it! Cable packages dont include many popular channels because they refuse to make a deal with Viacom, internet is slow, outages occur very frequently and takes forever to get them fixed. If at all possible, AVOID THIS COMPANY!Sincerely,Sick and tired!
