Wish there was an option for zero stars. They were adamant when I made the appointment I drop my car off first thing in the morning. I dropped it off at 8:30am and walked to work, they didn’t even take a look at it until well after 1:00pm. The receptionist Star was incredibly unprofessional. Said she “hoped” to call me back late in the afternoon as my car was “up next” both times I called to check in. They told me I had an oil leak in the head gasket, which given the state and age of my car I do not doubt, unfortunately both herself and someone named Charlotte(?) lack any sort of couth or professionalism. When I arrived to inquire about my car she was on the phone with someone who she put on speaker to explain my diagnosis even though this person had not seen my car. Star (incorrectly) guessed the year and model of my car and said “I THINK it’s leaking from the head gasket??”. I hesitantly explained my situation for a second time, to which the woman on the phone answered “Don’t bother having anyone come out and talk to her. If that’s where the leak is, tick, tick, boom” when I asked if and how I could safely drive it home to Pennsylvania to obtain another car from my family. I would not recommend anyone go here, for anything, ever, at all. They also asked if I would like my battery replaced for “a couple hundred dollars, maybe??” AFTER telling me to junk it and that’s it’s not worth it to repair. I’m sorry, HUN, but find another repair shop, quickly.

Trust is a way of doing business here. I trust and am confident in their work and their word. Its very refreshing to know in advance that youre in good hands. I have no reservations trusting our family vehicles with Scott and his staff and would highly recommend Howe Center Auto to anyone. Safe travels everyone!

I came in for an oil change before a long drive to Florida. Turns out my power steering high pressure hose needed to be replaced. It would have been dangerous to make the drive so Scott fit me in before I left even though they were booked. Excellent customer service.

I took my sons Pontiac G6 to Scott and his crew and as promised he said he would take care of it . I had no Problems at all and he was up front and straight with me only down side was if google offered a 10 star option I would have used that. Scott and his staff always go above and beyond to assist me with all of my auto needs, they are also great at providing the warnings such as your your going to need brakes in 10,000 miles or you need new tires etc so you can plan and prepare. They are always busy but still find the time to be kind, courteous and provide the best service all around.

They are the choice for car service in Rutland area for the State Police and City PD and I personally trust them to get it done right every time. Bob Howard has been in the business a long time and only employs the best mechanics. Try to call to arrange an appointment in advance as they are usually very busy and booked for at least a few days. They always stand behind their work.
