No more driving to autozone๐.
Had a local shop replace a wheel bearing on my f250 with a moog bearing. First mistake. Failed within 2 months and less than 5k miles. Tried to get it warrantied but the owner Ken refused because the shop I had used now had an outstanding balance of a whopping $130. I the customer had to physically go to the store and pay the shops minimal outstanding balance ($130... nevermind you my wheel bearing was almost $500) to get a part replaced that was under manufacturers warranty. However even though it would be no cost to Ken the owner or the store itself, I was forced to pay something I did not owe and take time to right something I did not wrong. Finally got that done only to have the same bearing fail yet again less than 2 months later only to be told this time that without the original box it could not be exchanged nor returned. Needless to say I went back to a factory bearing and will never purchase anything from that or any Carquest store again. If you want to go with and use aftermarket parts I highly recommend AutoZone or any other company, sadly even Amazon. Worst customer service I have ever encountered by far none. F u Ken
Quality parts and very knowledgeable
Service here is top notch. Very friendly and informative staff. Had part last minute for me so came here after another store had sold out. Only improvement I think would be super helpful for them to make is to keep an optional customer database for warranty purposes. If you buy a part here with a lifetime warranty, you MUST keep receipt, which is printed on standard receipt paper and I suspect ink would fade off of over time. Im putting a new part on an old truck, so I doubt I will use the warranty on it, but if I was buying a part for a newer vehicle that I would suspect possibly needing to replace a couple years down the line, I would rather buy from a place that can keep records of those transactions and not need to depend on my receipt for proof.
