Selection of shoes seemed much smaller than in the past. Also I received minimal service beyond a warm body showing up to watch the stores inventory not focus on customer service. This used to be my go-to place to buy shoes but after the limited stock on handand The customer service I think Ill find somewhere else.

The staff is always friendly when we go. Smaller sporting store but always have the essentials needed. I find things cheaper here than some stores and good quality too.

I rode my bicycle here. I cant trust a bike lock because people will clip it even in the daytime. The store employees would not allow me to carry my bike around the store to get a pair of shoes because it was going to cause a quote-unquote incident. So I called the store and asked if one of the employees would come out and take a look at a picture of the item that I would like give them the money and bring it out to me since they will not allow me to bring my Transportation inside the store where I know its going to be safe and they hung up on me. The employee that gave me the explanation of its going to cause an incident that was a joke of a reason for me to not have my Transportation with me

The store had a great deal on Nike and NewBalance running shoes, which means that it is just the right time to splurge.And of course, Big 5 has a ton of great deals. You can always appreciate the fact that they announce their sales in a local circular... but with the coupons, you get an extra discount. The place is full of goodies, so go check them out.

Employee was able to direct me to what I needed. They had what I needed, but selection was somewhat limited. No real complaints, but also no real accolades. I think that is almost a perfect reflection on nearly every time I have been in the store.

The ease of shopping throughout store plus products I like. They honor the military...just show your active/ retired military I.D. to get your 10% discount. Staff is always helpful.

Found excately what we wanted for good prices.

The store was nice and I received a welcome greeting when I entered. There were a lot of things to look at so I stayed in the store a lot longer than I expected. I would probably shop here again.There was just one issue that rubbed me the wrong way. A gal working at the store was rather rude to another customer. Granted, the customers kids were misbehaving, but the mother was trying to checkout and wrangle her children at the same time. The cashier could have been a bit more empathetic as this woman was clearly tying to get out of the store with her children and her purchases. Im sure a bit more customer service training for this employee can turn things around so all of their customers can enjoy a positive shopping experience.

Prices on shoes are really great. Other prices are pretty steep. When I was trying to get shoe sizes, the staff person kept getting confused on my daughters size. It was rather frustrating. She came out at one point without any shoes. I asked her where the shoes were. She had forgot. I bought 3 pairs of shoes that day. I think I was a worthwhile customer.

I didnt try on my new pair of 10W NB shoes. I thought they would be the same size as before. Wrong! They were too big! After a month and throwing away the box and receipt, I decided to return the like new shoes and hope Big 5 would exchange them. To my surprise, the cashier allowed me to find a 9.5W and I was on my way! Thank you very much! I will be back!

Although they have some great deals, in their one day sales, the Lancaster (Salem, OR) location has limited stock. I often ask them to check other locations, and have the item(s) held for me, but then am driving several miles out of my way. Also, some of the employees, at this location, could use some training in customer service.

If you get the opportunity to visit the bathroom here by far the best restroom in town so far

A good place to go if you need sports stuff, we go here for softball equipment for my daughters. The prices are comparable to other places and they have a coupon pretty often.

Ok store, but not as large as the other Big 5 stores in the surrounding communities, so not as much selection. Prices were pretty good, just check what your buying real good.

Customer service here is severely lacking. I gave 3 stars because they usually have sales for some decent items.

They never have enough help. The employees are to busy chatting with other employees to help someone. When they do help they are not friendly. I remember why I never shop with them. Its been like this for many years and you know the employees change every few months.
