Don’t use the bakery. Twice now I have Peter cakes/ cupcakes and when I come to pick them up they aren’t ready and they ask me to wait while they decorate them. I even picked an earlier pick up time then I needed but they don’t make them until you come. It’s caused me to be late for parties and the design quality is poor cause they’re rushing.The grocery store itself is fine.

10/1/21...A Friday night, 7:45 pm...Absolutely abysmal management here!! Literally 1 of 9 checkstands open, 8 carts deep! Self checkout 8-9 people deep both sides!! Not a Manger anywhere in store to be found! Basics empty on many shelves! Market Street from now on!

Let me know I had a long awaited rx filled. Drive from Eugene ore. Yo find out they cancelled my order without any explanation. Cashier was so rude telling me there would not be enough medication for others, but felt it was okay to take my prescription away from me! Rudeness galore!!!!!

As an employee and a customer of THIS store, I must say that the customer service is non-exsistant.I try, I get told everyday that I have a great additude and they give ME thanks.We may be worried about our produce or fruit, but really the customer service is what is struggling here.Shop at your own risk and dont expect anything spectacular..

Fred Meyers has always been a staple in our household. whether were just shopping for food, Furnishing the house, picking up school supplies, stocking up on seasonal merchandise, you can get it all here. The produce selection is out of this world with vast selection of organic and non-organic. Although I dont really shop at them, the meat and seafood section is pretty legit and the deli has a wide variety of pre-made food if youre in a hurry. Theres also hey Jeweler, Chase Bank, and play area for kids to keep them busy while you shop. Great store to find almost anything.

As a person who is mobility challenged it is great that Freddies has mobility cats to drive (Yes!) And generally the aisle width accommodates the cats width. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a customer loyalty card which gives you discounts on gas and other things. This is a chain which had locations thruout most NW states, and in my hometown we have 3 locations,- north, South and East. So there is one within a few miles wherever you live.

Stop hiring people that should be retiring. Their mental decline and lack of drive is astonishing and a waste of the general publics time. Additionally stop training employees on the customers dime. Its embarrassing. Myself and 4 others lost 45 minutes of our days off and still had to pay you money.

Was in your store today doing some shopping and went in to use the restroom and went into a stall and found a drug syringe on the floor in the handicap stall. Usually Fred Meyer keeps their restrooms cleaner. Needs more attention for cleanliness.

Best store to shop in south Salem! I was amazed by their customer service! I was in this store two days ago and looked for 2 bookcases, unfortunately were out of stock. The employee who helped me checked almost all the other Fred Meyer stores in Oregon and made a lot of phone calls. I left my phone number and thought it might take couple weeks to ship the bookcases to this store. So surprised I got my bookcases yesterday. This is so quick than I expected! Also, another employee helped me move the two heavy bookcases to the car. Cant be more happy with Fred Meyer!

After standing in a line of four customers, now down to two in front of me an employee came up to me and said the guy in front of you will be the last customer taken in this line you need to get in another line. I loudly asked for the manager and was told that she is the manager and I still need to find another line! I left my cart full of groceries for them to return to their locations. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Just paid 700 dollars for a couch that is defective. Instead of being able to swap the reclining back that weighs very little, I was told I must return the whole couch. All 300lbs of it. Bother my friend again, this time twice, use my truck, my gas, my time to fix a problem I should not have to fix. Dont buy furniture here.

Depending on what time you go is how busy it may be. Overall no complaints great service.

Fred Meyer itself is okay. It doesnt have a very large selection of groceries or apparel but it will do the trick.My issue was customer service, and honestly customer service is top priority. At approximately 11 a.m. this morning I was using the self-checkout I was on the right side there are two ladies taking care of the self checkout one lady takes care of the left side when lady takes care of the right side. The lady that was on my side was heavy set and she was of Asian descent. As I was checking out I noticed some of the products were not ringing up properly, so I kindly asked for her help. This woman told me that I read the price tag wrong and that she was not going to go verify the price for me. She pulled out her phone and got on the Safeway app and proceeded to show me products that were on sale although they were not the products that I was buying. I went back to double-check myself and sure enough I was not mistaken the price was wrong on the computer and so I took pictures just to verify. As I went back to finish the woman told me that there was nothing she could do. I immediately realized this woman was outright lazy and obviously does not want to work which is so baffling because shes getting paid. This woman is getting paid to stand around and literally do nothing. I asked an older woman who was nearby to help me and she was so kind and so sweet and so helpful. it took her approximately 3 minutes to fix my entire transaction and get me out the door she apologized for the other womans actions and told me she had no idea why she was acting that way. I am a business owner myself and I cannot believe my eyes when I see someone who is getting paid to literally do nothing. That woman needs to be trained properly.

I really do love Fred Meyers but the amount of products set up in aisles makes it impossible to maintain distance while shopping. Its just too crowded to feel safe. As an instacart shopper/delivery Im happy to help people stay home during these tough times but at the end of the day I still have to go home to my own family. Make it safer to shop or cut down on the number of people allowed in at one time.

Its so busy. But they have everything. Entering and exiting in traffic is a nightmare. Id be inclined to go to another Freddies. One with no hills.

Im normally a fan of FM. Im seeing a trend lately that is disturbing. Rules are that in store you have to wear a mask. Its too protect others in case you carry COVID unknowingly. Recently the numbers of people flaunting the mask rule has risen dramatically and FM seems to do nothing about it. I heard one employee say something to a woman he knew and she laughed, said, No. Hey you coming to church Sunday? Other people see this and decide if masking doesnt apply to others, they dont need to wear it. And the numbers rise. Its disrespectful to those of us who care enough to protect others. And its disrespectful of FM not to enforce. If you care about your familys health or have someone immune compromised in your circle, you might want to pass on FM for now.

So sad. I have been shopping at Fred Meyer for decades and even worked for the company in my teens. At least twice now I’ve encountered shoppers in the South Salem store with no mask on AND walked right by a PIC. If you don’t know what that means “person in charge”. Not one word.I’ve reminded people myself that they need to wear masks. I even notified one employee who was very rude having to stop what she was doing to address the issue.AND, yes again. Twice now I started loading groceries on the belt only to have my checker start coughing. Thought, do I remove my stuff and start over at another checker or even self check.I understand that some people are exempt from having to wear masks but really, if your heath prevents you from having to wear a mask you should NOT be in a grocery store.

The kids and I go on there quite a bit... first thing we do is hit the toys because Im a collector, but lately Ive noticed every time weve gone on there we go in there day and night.. last night we were in their late about 10:15 on 4/19.. hit the toy section like always first thing over the intercom is mr. And mrs. Cash. If you dont know thats code name for someone in charge at Fred Meyer they think somebody stealing and if he looks suspicious that person could be you Im tired of going to the store and getting profile because I look young and brown and I have visible tattoos.. I spend lots of money there!! I also drive to Fred Meyers Lancaster and Fred Meyers Keizer to spend money

A representative at the self scan here, around 10:30 a.m. today Aug 20 was coughing threw her mask into her hand. She Didnt use any sanitation after and just went back to touching customers scanners and other items. Not Safe for us trying to protect our families 💔P.S...the pharmacy could use some coaching on how to xfer calls. I would have spoke to the front desk.

Ive spent all evening trying to order for delivery on line. the final page wants my credit card number which i entered -- it was declined (i know this is a valid card). i tried another card, it was also declined as was a third. I double checked on all numbers and entries each time. i tried to call FM for assistance and all i could get was their general number with directions, store hours--no connection to a live person. SOOOOOO frustrating. i will print out my order later and try safeway!!! extremely disappointed in FM

It took forever to order. They were having a problem apparently. Then i never could get a flower order to be recognized. How do you order from the garden center? Then I gothome and they substituted a cereal without asking me. Now I will need to go back again.I will try something else.

Today Feb 8 around 9 a.m. your boy attendant for the registers near the crafts area really needs to lose his attitude and ego. Its unprofessional and Junior high.

Amazing management. The manager Lacy was super busy with multi managing several areas. And she took her time to fill up balloons for me. And on top of that the tank was empty and she went to got another. Very impressed.

Has a lot of stuff that a person can purchase. But the lines do get very long on many occasions. Especially with the whole stay ten feet, or whatever it is know, thing, that has been in place for quite some time now.

Joey, in the deli department was so wonderful! She had so much patience with my mom and I. Her customer service comes naturally. She helped us choose ten or more deli items and made us feel like we were the only ones there. Thank you, Joey, for a great time at the market. Keep smiling, its contagious.

I dont usually bother reviewing grocery stores but this one has such a great selection of food products and homewares that its hard not to like. The produce section always has a good variety and prices arent bad. The deli is also good, though the meat department is lacking. The meat prices are also not competetive at all. They do have a nice selection of Gluten free and organic packaged foods and a decent beer selection.

Customer service was excellent the girl that were working closing shift on12/5/2020 went above and beyond to help my son and I thank you girls hi five in electronic department ( tv and such)

Favorite place to shop. Grocery and home goods. Quick check out lanes. Great customer service. They always have cute decorations for each holiday. Clearance close for kids is pretty good as well.

I haven’t seen so many employees not care since K-Mart closed... Young lady in the women’s department told an 80+ year old lady they didn’t have hosiery... I ended up assisting the lady because none of the three ladies working in women’s could be bothered...the deli- just gross... then at the register... yeah... no... I’m done with this store

One of the few... if not the only... places in Salem that sells propane until 11 p.m. And their price is comparable to other places around town, cheaper than some.

Got boys pants. They had very small selection. Clearance was a joke. Had to call to get help in dressing rooms. Self checkout only and the attendant had to come over twice.

CLEAN! Organized, wonderful helpful staff. So many choices its almost impossible to not find something! Large gluten free selection! Love that I can hit Chase bank, refill water containers, get groceries, socks, makeup and more all at one store. Good sized parking lot.

Newly remodeled. Wide isles. Coupons are good, sales are good. Free babysitting for little ones is awesome! Fuel rewards are great. Overall prices better than Wal-Mart but worse than Amazon or Wheeler Dealer.

Fred Meyers at 3450 Commercial St SE 97302 is my GO TO supermarket in South Salem. I needed milk on Thanksgiving morning and Freddys was well staffed for my last minute shopping dash. Super Friendly Staff and Great Deals! I visit this store at least 4 times a week and their 11 pm closing time is ideal when I am working late. *****Ten Stars*****

I love shopping Fred Meyers. I’ve always had a great experience, they treat everyone with respect. Literally I’ll go here over Target or Walmart any day of the week. Wish more companies were like theirs.

Whats there to say about Fred Meter - as Tony the Tiger would say their Great. They are so help full - if you cant find an item in their store ask a clerk and they will help you find that item as long as they carry it - and most of the time they do - its a great place to buy your food items to - I love all their food items from the choices they make for their customers. They go a great job knowing what their customers want. Hats off to Fred Meters

Truly a one stop shop. We were welcomed on the way in, thanked on the way out. While in the store a nice meat stocker went out of her way to show us the vegan burgers we were looking for. Also found a nice cutting board at a great price for cutting up those veggies and fruit.

Just moving here from California I absolutely love this place... think Target but nicer... idk how this chain isn’t bigger because everything here is amazing and service is too notch as well

I am at this Fred Meyer 3-5 times a week. Its definetly busiest between Id say 11am and 6pm. Its much less busy than Winco. Its pretty clean and has good produce. I really like their organic and health food section on the back side of produce. Its a great variety and price for a large non health food store. They didnt get 5 stars because I frequently witness unprofessional behavior from staff. I pretty much started avoiding the staff as much as possible about 5 years ago and Ive enjoyed my experience shopping there much more. The staff also seem to prefer to not be bothered, so its a win win. I always use the self check-out and most of the staff manning those are very nice, occasionally youll get one hovering and telling you youre doing something wrong. Just smile and nod, theyll leave eventually.

Love their bakery! We always get our birthday cakes here and treats. Theyre so good and not too sweet like typical store cakes usually are. And they have a great selection of products.

Very classy! Its a small store for Fred Meyer, but everything is top notch. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly, the bathrooms clean, and the deli, bakery and produce extra fresh. The whole store has excellent wifi (not just the Starbucks part of the store). The only reason it wasnt five stars is the smaller size (and selection), but I still think I now have a new favorite Freddys in Salem.

I just went in to get some hot chicken and some sides at the deli and every single dish was dried up and gross looking. So I decided to get us some pre made sandwiches and those were super dry and my mom found a long hair in her sandwich. Yuck. Not coming here to the deli every again. Other stores are fresher and we had no issues, but this was on our way home. 1 star is too much for this experience.

I have not been a Fred Meyer customer due to lack of good experience. However, thanks to Cashier Lou Lou my mind has changed! She is amazing, friendly, fast and quickly applied coupons I was lost with. I have been back 3 days in a row.

Ordered from Fred Meyer, when I called Intsacart I was put on hold for ever then no one came back on the phone. I have ordered many times in the past but never an issue like this. We will not use Intsacart again.I dont recommend

All around good place to find a variety of products. Would like to see even more healthy food choices. They have done very well to provide many healthier choices over the years. If they can step it up another notch they will really cover the market well!

Called the electronics dept 7/7/2020 asked if a product was available for purchase guy working was very short over the phone and hung up before I could ask a follow up question. He could use some extra training in how to answer questions over the phone

Full blown one-stop-shop, their departments cover furniture, clothing, grocery, school supplies, home & garden...theres a pharmacy. I bought an inexpensive kite in the toy department. Ive also gotten decent prices on fresh produce here.

A really nice store with friendly staff and a lot of varied selection in terms of pretty much everything. Things can be a little more expensive but youll have a lot of fun shopping at Fred Meyer. Bakery is really good too.

We went in to the Jewelry store to pick up my husbands wedding band that he had resized. While I was there I had them clean and inspect my ring, which was for free. They found that two diamonds were loose. They were able to search their computer records and found that we had purchased the warranty 7 years ago, so they repaired my ring for free. Great customer service!

Food has always been consistently fresh when I visited. Great deals on their rotisserie chicken and fruits. Cant find much to complain from my experiences.

Called and talk to customer service person about deli area if it had a microwave first person said no they did not have a microwave,.Second time I call the store I talk to someone else. They said yes we do have microwave,They need to make sure everyone who works for Fred Meyers knows what they have in their store. Bad business TO say I dont know. Also better lighting in the corner in which the microwave sits.

Hit or miss whether or not the customer service is going to be any good. When it is not good, it is downright horrible full of disrespect.Good products in general, they are slowly getting a larger selection of things for people with special diets such as gluten free.Prices are pretty decent.

I usually have a pretty okay experience here but today was irritating. I called in advance to make sure the Playland was open. They said it was and I asked them to make sure she would be available for the next hour because a lot of the time we show up and they are going on break and it causes the little one to get upset since he loves to play. Same thing this time, we get there and shes going on break. We dont even live close to this one we specifically went there because they said someone would he there. Just gets irritating when you call to check and they dont even verify it first.

Great deals. Most mens clothing was 50% off. Just not a lot of XXL clothing. But very helpful and courteous.

Its the best Fred Meyer in town, and some of the best overall selection and produce youll get anywhere in town. If youve been to Freddys before, this is it. They also have apparel, electronics, jewelers, and a kid-watching station. The employees are friendly without being overbearing. You should shop here.

I really like their fresh produce section. They have a wonderful selection of local fruits and vegetables, and Ive never had a bad fruit experience. Really appreciate their attention to cleanliness too.

The store is clean with a warm atmosphere. Prices arent the best in town, but they carry a number of items you cant find at the stores with better prices. Some of their sales, especially the post-holiday ones, are incredible deals.

Ive shopped at this Fred Meyer since 1974. The grocery department is large and well stocked. The deli department offers an excellent selection of meats and cheeses as well as prepared food. Theres a good garden section. The staff is always helpful and courteous. The only drawback I see is Corporates​ decision to allow concealed weapons in the store.

I love the Free Friday coupon login to the app or website each Friday and download each weeks free product; simply scan at checkout and either scan your rewards card or enter the linked phone number and the full price for the item comes off your total.The Fred Meyer app is easy to use, you can create shopping lists and add coupons to your rewards card which will automatically come off total at checkout (you can use in-store printed coupons and printed manufacturers coupons in addition to the digital coupons through their app).The staff is friendly and they remember me and my family each time we go in. They make me feel valued. There are seldom any problems or issues but when there are they are quick to fix it and finding a resolution while demonstrating compassion and empathy, making me feel like a valued customer.

Our Fred Meyer is a great store with great employees and being a mom, I shop there several times a week. Im submitting this review to maybe make a difference in the womens restroom. Im not a clean freak by any means, and a business owner myself but enough is enough. If anyone has used this facility, you know. The womens restroom is flat disgusting. The odor is worse than a porta-potty out on a hot construction site. Mopping is happening but theyre past that point. An update to interior is Im sure not on managements radar or budget but at the least it needs sterilized, steamed and bleached. For the sake of the shoppers and their children. Lets get it cleaned up. Please.

Shame on you Fred Meyer. Im not even going to name my cashier because the responsibility is on you for putting incompetent people as cashiers. Im writing this after waiting in line behind one person for 15 minutes. When he called for a backup cashier he was told there are none. The store isnt even busy and youre understaffed 2 days before Thanksgiving. Again, thats on management. I wont be back.
