Great variety. It seems there are more registers open lately so things are moving faster. The earlier you go the better crowd wise of you have crowd anxiety.

I went shopping. Not really ever a good nor bad experience. Its a good store, employees are always helpful, and service with a smile. No complaints.

Clean but dont like how isles are blocked alot of the time with employees stocking the shelves during the day. I know its a money saver for the store to have them do that in the daytime but its a pain a lot of the time for The shopper. You go to a certain section to get something and theres a huge palette in the way. Also the store is extremely busy most of the time. If you dont mind shopping at a very very busy store go ahead and shop there.

The young male cashier named Elios is very rude. He worked at the 12 or less line has a bad attitude. He rolled his eyes at me because I forgot my credit card. Once, I came back and paid he did not want to put my food in the bag I had to do it myself. Isnt part of your job is to put the food in the bag for the customers??? Why does the customers have to do it themselves?

Often crowded, but great products with unbeatable prices. If you shop on Friday or Saturday early evening, its a breeze. People who work there are very nice.

Great place to shop. Been going for. Years. Very clean, associates stocking and restocking aisles all over. Prices are great and so are the selections. Cant beat it. Some decent traffic for mid day shopping.

It was well staffed, the hot food counter girl was very helpful, showing me something I had missed where the open air heater is. She was kind enough to offer me a second on a discount since they didnt have enough of what I needed. Except for the customers who refuse to follow the rules, and only care about themselves, the staff is cleaning and doing the best they can to keep us safe and the store well stocked!

Seems to have go a little downhill since they got new management. Things are never ordered it seems and then they have people bagging their own groceries. Which hey Im willing to do but where the heck are all the employees? Yse to like going there but not so much now. Only go because its the cheapest grocery store from my house.

I shop at the Salem location. They have a very nice staff. The only thing complaint is they dont seem to keep up with restocking some items. Overall a good store.

Very good value for your money! Definitely pick up some 10¢ plastic reusable bags to make grocery trips less of a hassle. Helpful staff and well organized shelves.

Sushi at the front counter next to cake area. Perfect for waiting the 450 bus to Salem.

Deli pretty good they have the real Parma Prosciutto; good selection of specialties and cheeses.Fresh, good assortment of fruits and vegetables. Has good prices far cheaper than most other grocery stores. The lines to check out are clustered and a lot of the time people are not following the social distancing. Standing in line does go fast if you have less items, though be careful as other customers will push in and out as well as cut lines. The staff keeps the other areas of the store neat and clean, making sure to go and stock areas of need. If there could be more organization at the front end, it would be much more enjoyable.

Prices are too high now quality is not very good and both employees and customers are rude

No bagels (store brand)...no turkey dinners which were on sale...there is always something missing and I have to go to another store!!!

Big supermarket with all types of foreign food products. Good prices. Weekly specials every week on their Market Basket paper.

I specially like the produce section. Visited on Saturday morning and that section had plenty of selections of fresh veggies.

THEY TEND NOT TO HAVE CERTAIN ITEMS & WONT TAKE THE TIME TO ORDER THEM FOR A PURCHASE ON A VERY REGULAR BASIS; I FIND THEM, UNACCEPTABLE & USELESS!

When calling up over the past 2 months the Asst Mgr - Carlos always takes care of and remembers my orders 4 to 5 pound orders of sliced London broil I use for beef jerky. The level of customer service and care at the Salem location is on the level of a detailed, focused small family centric business. I never hear I cant or sorry just how much and when. If they dont have what I need they are willing to find it at another store.Thank you Salem Market basket and thank you Carlos for making shopping easier for my family.Alex H

As all market baskets are... packed, busy, and well stocked this one is no exception. I try hard to go early early opening time mornings otherwise expect to stand in line forever and fight to get around all of the people stocking while there are shoppers.I worked at a grocery store and there was no stocking done during business hours we had overnight stocking .i wish they would get on board and hire people to work 9pm to 5am and stock everything so that customers can easily maneuver around the aisles without dealing with carts and racks full of stuff in the aisles while workers chat and take their good ole sweet time. They would certainly have interest in a night shift crew.

A lot can be said about a supermarket that always has packed lines! Shop under 12 or 20 items for quick in and out service. The Manager Special items are left of the store when you go in.

I generally love Market Basket. I work all over Eastern Mass. So, when its time to get something to eat I look for a MB closeby. I was disappointed today when I went to get a sub at this store. The two woman behind the sandwich counter made me feel like I was interrupting their conversation. When I did order a whole chicken salad sub. The woman took the roll. Cut it in half and place a scoop of chicken salad on each side. She never even attempted to spread it out on the roll. She just took tomatoes and pickles and put it on top of each scoop and wrapped the sandwich. This woman has either not been trained or has no pride in making something as simple as a sandwich. Never mind the attitude. I was at the sub counter at approximately 4:20 PM.

Beware of the cashiers - even the ones with 14 years experience. Went in today - 23 March 20 - They tried to count several items twice - spinach, eggs & like that. Caught them on the first couple so you would think they would “be more careful”. Nope, it kept on going. Not bad enough they are raising their prices during tough times, but double-gouging!?Remember Market Basket - it’s not how you treat your customers when times are good. It’s how you treat us when times are bad that we remember.

My car battery died today and the associates didnt hesitate to help me out, even though the store had closed less than two minutes before I came to the door. To the guy who helped me: G, youre the best! Thanks again!

I love Market Basket. Great prices and selection but the deli line needs to move faster. I waited for thirty minutes for orders that were wrong. American cheese instead of cheddar, half a pound instead of a full pound. At that point they could have given me mutton and I would have walked away smiling.

Great produce, variety of foods, cleaning products, paper goods, pet products, and toiletries. No one can beat there everyday prices. There is a public restroom by the seafood/deli department. They have a great customer service desk. Even though it is ALMOST ALWAYS VERY BUSY, the lines move quickly and there are plenty, usually all registers open. Helpful, courtesy staff.

Weekends are a nightmare. Its beyond the deepest darkest hell scapes of Satans own sleepy time revalries. Avoid at all costs.Otherwise their produce is quite lovely and consistent. Also they always have a really good selection of hot peppers!

Do not shop here. I have never had a positive interaction with an employee here. Absolutely deplorable.

Market basket is the best super market ever made the prices are like were shopping in 1950 stop and shop cant touch it every time I go to market basket its so full no matter what time it is the parking lot is always full the store is always packed you should see stop and shops parking lot its never ever full.

Id give it five stars but its typically crazy busy and crowded so you can rarely dash in for just one or two items and be out in less than 10 minutes. But great prices, wide variety of groceries and for a supermarket bakery, the baked goods are almost always very good. Their deli rotisserie and fried chicken is usually the best Ive found around here.

Always in stock and friendly staff. Never have had a negative experience.
