I asked if they accepted P-EBT and the lady (blond hair, older lady) was supper snobby and rude. Another lady came and asked me nicely if that was ok. I havent shopped here for the same reason, rude employees! But today was kinda like ehhh lets give it another go but I guess nothing has changed

This location is always slow at making orders. The location on Bardin always gets my orders wrong and on top of that are very slow as well. The food is not bad they just lack motivation to work a little faster. At the Plaza over on Davis Ive also noticed that they dont switch up on gloves as often as they should or take extra precaution touching food. A better spot if you want a meal from Plaza is to visit the one on Sanborn, the service at this location is a lot better.

This place has lost its touch. Back when I was a kid coming here was amazing I always loved hearing my mother say I brought Plaza bakery burritos. But now I go and not only does the staff seem rude but the food has suffered greatly since then. With the price you pay youre better off getting a La Costa burrito for 6.99 or El Charrito for 3.49 each

The rosca is very good. To all the people saying they refuse service to homeless, the manager already apologize and even made a speech. Everyone who never done a mistake raise your hand.. Where do I start?! This place is great! Their food is always hot and fresh. Ive been there for lunch and dinner many times throughout the years and Ive never been disappointed, and Ive tried many items on the menu. And omg, they have amazing sweet breads. Every single one of them Ive had is delicious and Im almost done trying them all!

Ordered throught the phone and they told me my order would be ready in 25 minutes.....i drove 15 minutes to get there and they tell me they never got any call from me ? ....waste of time and employees that dont know how to do their job i clearly spoke to a girl and ordered. Wont be coming here again

The customer is not always right at this place. Weve bought many cakes from Plaza Bakery but from the one on Bardin Road. We bought a cake yesterday from this location because it was near where my daughter works and I asked her to pick it up.This was to celebrate my wifes birthday. It looked really nice as usual but when I took a bite the cake was very dry and a little hard. To me it seemed like it was days old. Nobody ended up eating cake. My wife tried to return it today and they were only willing to give her a 20% discount for a future purchase. Of course we will never go back. Worst customer service. I wish it was possible to give 0 stars.

Its a nice place, so no complaints on that front. Good place to go if you need a fresh piece of 🍞, soda, ☕, fresh squeezed 🧃, or any other drink. But where it fails miserably is the abysmal waiting time if you order a meal here. Doesnt matter when it comes to the service: it can be some tacos to a full course meal; it can be packed or barely anyone in the place, the wait time is horrendous. I once waited about half an hour just for a burrito or a torta! Not meaning to write off la plaza as a bad place, but if you want more than a quick bite or 🥤, then do yourself a favor and go to the other la plazas in the city, their wait time is much better.

We always have to get our La Plaza fix while visiting family in Salinas. We were shocked this time to find more than half the display case empty and no chocolate croissant 😭😭 found a few things we wanted and everything was delicious.

They háve a large selection of Mexican pastries, their bolillo is the best, crunchy crust soft inside it makes the best tortas. Their deli is the best, allthough they offer a large selection of authentic Mexican foods, Im stuck on their huevo ranchero burritos, no matter which of their many locations I may go to, they taste he same, better than homemade. Great bread and food, excellent service.

Always bomb, authentic food and pandulce.... our typical order is 2 chile verde super burritos and an asada torta.... my wife and I each scarf the burritos down and half the torta.... were fattys, so dont judge! 😂

Called on a Thursday to order a special birthday cake for my sisters surprise Birthday Party on Saturday. Eva the person taking my call was patient, understanding and willing to take my order. I knew it was short notice and because of a confusion the original cake was not ordered. The party was in Hollister and as promised Eva delivered an elegant beautiful cake for my sisters birthday party.Thank you thank you

The food was good and for a good price. $5 for a burrito. Restaurant was clean. Shares space with a mexican bakery so be sure to grab your dessert on the way out!

This is my favorite Mexican bakery. They have a large selection and the pastries are always consistent in quality, appearance and size. All their locations are very clean and the service is excellent. They have a taqueria inside the bakery as well and the food is good. Typical, but flavorful and not too greasy.

I get there literally everyone in a table waiting for their order, i get there and order and it’s a 20 minute wait which got extended to 30 minutes. I get home and find that my food is all wrong. Worse Plaza Bakery in Salinas. Other 2 locations are way better

Ordered a Tres Leches cake for a birthday party. When I got there to pick it up, the cake was not even decorated! But the worst part was that the cake was very DRY and tasted like it was days OLD!!! Terrible! Worst Tres Leches cake I have ever had! Will not go back again. This place has gone down so much. The new cooks don’t know how to cook & the new employees don’t know how to serve. Take your money elsewhere where to get the quality food and decent service you deserve!

This place is awesome! I moved to San Diego and I trulely miss it, hoping some day they put a store over there!! Food and bread taste really good and it taste even better when you get friendly staff with genuine smiles.

They are prejudice. The manager was very rude. I will not be coming here again. People without love for humanity do not get my money. All I can say about the manager is watch your Karma. You will find yourself being treated as you treated your customers.

I wish I could negative stars. To any one and every one considering eating here, please think about another mexican dining in salinas. Worst service I have ever had. I feel bad that the owner lost my business, my families business, and my works business. I dont have forever on my lunch breaks so when I eat here I call ahead. But when they tell you 25 min. Than you wait for that than they say its not ready just a few minutes and they play games with your time to make you wait another 25 on top of that. Thatsbad. But even than they still need more time than the hour lunch I had and the 25 min heads up with a phone order. This was horrible and I should have learned my lesson. But its my fault four giving them 5 chances. They will mess up your order. You will go home with the wrong food they wont compensate you with the right food. Honestly them doing it today made me write my first review on google so you know its bad.Ojalá pudiera estrellas negativas. My mom often sends me to this place to get her a couple of pieces of bread. Seriously, $6 for 3 mediocre pieces of bread?! And, the one time I ordered enchiladas, they were nasty!! Cold, super dry and hard! Gross! I already made it clear to my mom. I will NOT be getting her bread from this place ever again!! So many other places that offer great pan dulce and other food, at a much more reasonable price!!

First time here Waitied for 15 minutes workers act like they dont see u. It wasnt full either or no one else in line beside me and my co worker there where no other costumers in the whole place, never asked if i got helped or if i was ready to order. Thats just plain rude and very bad customer service. If i could i give a 0 star rating. Wont be going back.

Just because you have decent bread doesnt mean you can give poor customer service. Twice now Ive waited in line patiently for my turn and both times the staff have helped others that just walk up to the counter without waiting in line. This is after seeing me clearly stand there. Screw this place and their poor customer service. If they dont have a moral compass they shouldnt be in business. Ill go to winchells instead.

I like their pastry and coffee selection. They carry organic coffee too! I visited the place at least more than once and so far so good. Next visit I will try their lunch menus.

My favorite is the torts of carne asada and their cheese enchiladas. The fresh baked.bread very good and the owner has a grand heart gave my children free burritos when i was in the hospital. thank you sooo much.

This place is seriously orgasmic food. HOLY CRAP the cookie is like a scone but soft?! SOFT SCONES. What more can you ask for in life? The chocolate chip was my favorite but I also tried the double chocolate, peanut butter one too.

Nice staff, but not a big doughnut selection. A convenient stop as its right off the 101 and tucked into the corner of the shopping center.

I ordered a regular burrito called it in didn’t ask questions just asked for a regular burrito de asada most places a regular burrito is 3$-5$ went to pick it up it was 6$. When I finally went to open it up no longer in the bakery it turns out for 6$. You get plain beans a little bit of meat and chili. I don’t kno about anyone else but I feel like that is ridiculous not even rice for 6$!!!! Your paying for beans and meat and to top it off a super burrito which comes with rice beans carne of ur choice creama, cheese, avocado, and salsa is 7$ ! I feel like that was a rip off they need to either change the price of their regular burrito or at the least add rice to that . Not cool other than that the beans and meat was good just very little in the tortilla.The lady could’ve at least said hey for 1$ more you can get a super I would’ve been like ok go ahead lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have always tried to forget my last visit to la plaza bakery, but it never fails that i have to wait more than 20 min for a torta...why? Should i order a burrito next time? The food is good dont get me wrong, is the long wait that gets me and whats worst is that my visits are not during rush hour (12-1). NOT THE PLACE TO GO DURING THE LUNCH RUSH.Update: They took 20 min to prep my order and they still got it wrong :( i will, from now on think twice about going back.

Best bread youll ever have

I ordered a cake the day before pick up, arrived Saturday after eleven and was told the cake had not been made. I was told to wait 20 minutes please, no discount was given no extra efforts to make up for this poor service. I ordered a super burrito and albondigas soup while I waited with my family. It took 35 minutes to deliver. The super burrito had no bean and was filled with rice and meat... Not so super. The albondigas was a poor choice as well. Two huge meatballs in broth. Thats it... Nothing more. And it cost me 10 bucks. Very disappointing.
