The service by Michael was exceptional. I can’t think of one thing that would make my experience any better. Everything was exactly on time. I received the service I went there for, Michael went above and beyond to make sure I left with a second key which I had ordered. When I got to my car it was washed and vacuumed. Four days later I returned to pick up the key insert and they repaired my other key FOB. Exceptional.

Alex was great he was able to get me in on short notice to keep me on schedule for my vacation. The service department was extremely clean and welcoming and the waiting room was amazing. As my car was getting the brakes done I received videos and texts from the mechanic. I was out of there in the time they promised.

I recently took my Volvo for regular maintenance and it was by far the best experience I’ve had with car service. Mike was great in helping me determine what I needed for the age and mileage of my car. They sent me a video after the inspection was completed to explain additional service recommendations. I never felt pressured or felt they were trying to sell me things I didn’t need. They were honest and informative. When I returned to pick up my car, Mike arranged for Morgan, one of the sales associates, to meet with me and answer my questions about the car, as well as to show me additional features and benefits of the car. She helped me get my Volvo ID and the app. I appreciate their kindness and sincere help. Thank you!

This review is now an Edit! Yay Ken Garff. Thanks for reaching out!I brought my XC-90 in for service, tires, repair of AC, and Detailing work. Everything was done well except the detail work. I was initially very unsatisfied as the detail work was not done so I needed to do it myself. See photos for water spots that were not removed. The General Manager reached out to me, and has made it right. What can I say! It might have taken a few weeks for them to get on this, but what counts is they do care about their reputation, and customer satisfaction, and do make things right when they dont achieve a good review. I changed my 1 star review into a 4 star review, and expect that next time I go in for services, I will be leaving a 5 star review.

We went to the Ken Garff Volvo with a pretty specific car and budget in mind. We primarily worked with Morgan and she was awesome. She was thorough explaining features about the car without overwhelming us. She was respectful of our budget and helping to find a situation that would work for us. Morgan was really knowledgeable about Volvo and answered all our questions, as well as being friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I went into Ken Garff Volvo for my 50,000 mile maintenance. They did a full inspection of everything that was promised in the service and we were treated very well while waiting at the service center. The dealership is a little more expensive than it would have been to take it to a local mechanic but they were able to fix a recall and perform various inspections that I would not have gotten elsewhere. They also had a lot of knowledge and were great at answering any questions I had. Will be coming back for my 60,000 mile maintenance.

The car we wanted was in stock and on the lot.The only compliant I have is probably the number one compliant among car dealerships the amount of time you sit and wait. We were there almost 5 hours. It was getting to the a point that we almost left and said forget it.

After a 3-months of being bounced from mechanic to mechanic; each of them saying, that they knew what to do to take care of my poor Volvos many troubles. I finally bit the bullet and decided to try the dealership after 10 year hiatus due to the massive costs, I thought I would face. And then I got to Ken Garffs Service Department. Brandon, my point man and his team finally came through for me. When I had all but given up, gone nearly broke, paid 3 prior shops for an unfulfilled promise, the crew of experts at Ken Garffs Service Department restored my faith in auto shops. I highly recommend you save your money and take a ride to Ken Garffs Volvo service department. And avoid being taken for a ride by anyone who claims the capabilities and expertise that Brandon and his team possess. Ken Garff Volvo has an easy to use online scheduling system that truly lets you set your own appointment. And, when you arrive it truly is your appointment. You dont show up to a crowded mess. I took my 2006 Volvo V70 R in to have the inoperable sunroof diagnosed and fixed. I was given me an estimate of $4500 to completely replace the sunroof mechanism!!! I had asked the service writer at Ken Garff to double check with technician and they came back and confirmed and said insulation from the headliner had jammed up the mechanism. There was no option and indicated the sunroof would not work with anything short of full replacement of the unit.A few weeks later I took the car to a local independent Volvo shop and asked them to diagnose the problem. I gave them no them no heads up as to my experience with the local dealer. I got a call the same day and was told the issue was fixed and they charged me 2 hrs labor for an adjustment to the sunroof mechanism. Sunroof works perfectly.It is clear the dealer is possibly lacking the know-how and training to do anything but general maintenance and wholesale replacement of broken or inoperable systems (Warranty service). If you want a real technician, and someone passionate about the brand, skip the dealer.

This was my first time into the dealership with my car. They helped me figure out everything that needed to be done. I was never pressured into doing anything and kept up to date the whole time. I will definitely not dread going in the next time which is a huge plus. During recent visit from out-of-town, my otherwise trusty XC70 needed to be towed due to sudden engine failure. Luckily I chose Ken Garff Volvo. The Service Advisor, Brandon, was pleasant and kept me informed on repair status. It was determined that the turbo return air pipe had blown loose, and simply needed to be re-secured and then tested. Good to go! Best news is that this work was done without charge and I was back on my way home to Seattle. My thanks to the good folks at Ken Garff.

I started my “looking” to acquire a new car process in October of 2020 and Morgan A. was amazing to assist me all the way through until I decided to pull the trigger just recently. Morgan had been so knowledgeable about the Volvo brand along with patient and super fun to work with. She made my whole process of buying easy even when I started off with “I’m just looking and probably won’t buy for 6 months to 18 months”. I brought my Volvo to Ken Garff Volvo for assessment and recommendation for how to proceed. It turns out that my car was toast and they recommended to NOT spend on repairs because the costs would far exceed the value of the car. A lesser service shop would have fixed some things up and charged me a bundle and sent me out with a still-defective and hopeless car. I learned that Ken Garff Volvo service has integrity and does the right thing even when it means turning away easy money. Honesty is what I found.

Service for the recall was great, thanks Mike for all of the information.However —-When my car was returned to my home by the driver, I got into it and noticed that the light carpet had two large dark shoe prints on the floor matte as well as dark smudge on the carpet near the door of the passengers side.KG always provides a courtesy wash, nice right! Clearly they washed my car, However this time some strangers grunge was left behind in the passenger side.

Tenacious, I had no ac last. Attempted repair & it worked. That was late in the year& didn’t need ac until this year. Returned for repair again & this time I had a loaner for a week. The tech did not give up & finally found the leak in the evaporator. AC works great & the repair was covered by warranty. They even apologized for having to make a second trip. Highly recommended.

They missed worn brakes on my wife’s car during service. They’re not great at answering the phone, and the phone system itself has more automated menus, and disclosures than any other I’ve come across. A surprising amount really. They seem under-staffed on clerical/receptionist positions, and try to make up for it with automation.

I hate going to dealerships for service I feel like they are appraise trying to uptake me on services I don’t need. Service advisor was professional, thorough and respectful. The one complaint surrounds Ken Garff’s online appointments and invoicing. I booked an appointment for early morning. I dropped my Volvo off the night before, filled out drop off paperwork and included the print out of the appt and service requested. I had signed as requested which should have allowed the work to begin as scheduled. I received a voice mail from advisor at approximately 11am asking me to confirm service requested and cost. As most customers are working professionals, msg was not returned for 2 hours. This wasted time. My signature along with a print out of expected service should have allowed work to be done in the early morning per scheduled appointment. I appreciated the video from the mechanic or tech regarding completed work. Excellent idea! Lastly, Ken Garffs online invoice should be updated to include discounts. Discount did show up on final printed invoice however, for added customer confidence, the online invoice should show discounts so final payment owed matches between hard copy and online.

Never buy a Volvo in Utah. It takes months to get into the dealership to get serviced, incredibly insensitive and slow moving service department. The dealership is dead, no one greeted us, asked to help us and we had to navigate a maze to find the service counter. Once there, despite the fact that our car is virtually undriveable we were told, sorry, youre just going to have to wait till your appointment time (in several days) before they can even LOOK at it.We took our car in to leave it, hoping MAYBE this dinosaur of a service center could find some human decency to help us get back on the road...were not offered a loaner, only as an afterthought as we went out the door did they bother to ask if we had transportation.I have been to 4 Volvo dealerships across the country in the years we have owned Volvos and never been so disappointed. Never buy a Volvo in Utah, the one dealership here doesnt care about people, service or excellence in any way.

I bought my XC60 from a mark miller dealership and this is the second time I’ve trusted Ken Garff Volvo for maintenance. They are thorough and always willing to help navigate your decisions on any last minute repairs and won’t push you on decisions to hold off. FIRST OF ALL, being a female and having to take a car in is always a nightmare, most male technicians are quick to glance but never fully observe what your vehicle needs, extremely fast for the bogus labor costs and time delays. The honesty from Michael was amazing, I got a nice sized rock chip on the moonroof, cracking after a car wash and Michael didn’t make me feel like the sky was falling if I hold off for that price tag! I love the loaner car service because I can be worry free getting to and from work, my car was done so much sooner than I expected that I wasn’t able to pick up myVolvo until the morning. When I went to return, the city had shut down all access to the dealership. After driving around trying to see a way back there, giving up and heading to work; Michael calls me in the afternoon and sounds worked to a pulp from dealing with the chaos all day! He was so understanding and made me feel comfortable that I didn’t have to break away from the clients or show up late to work. This shows just how much Ken Garff values and respects their clients….even after a day of hell given to us by the beautiful & impromptu UTAH road construction!

Everyone at this dealership is exceptionally pleasant and the place itself is very clean and pretty. However, despite going in there knowing exactly what car I wanted to buy, from the time I went in until I was leaving with said car, was a little over 5 hours. (That is not an exaggeration, I timed it.) I was told it took so long because somebody was in line in font of me...So maybe knock off an hour and a half for test driving, price haggling, and paperwork. The rest of the time I spent waiting without having any idea how long it was going to end up taking.Regarding the price haggling: I was initially offered an obscenely low price for my clean trade in. I came down on my asking price for my car, they did not budge on their asking price, which was a little higher than what was fair according to NADA. Based on my experience I would surmise that someone new to buying cars would most likely be taken advantage of at a place like this.When I came back a couple weeks later, during a quick work break, to pick up my plates and give them the extra key to my trade-in, I was asked to, yet again wait, for the salesman who I worked with previously. He was apparently in a meeting around the corner and unable to step away.Regarding my new license plates: they sent me a nice card in the mail to inform me that my plates were ready and on this card it warmly welcomed me to pick them up and said that they would even be happy to install them. When I arrived they handed me the plates and did not offer to put them on. Now, I understand putting a license plate on is not a real challenge but, after this very poor experience it was the least that could be done. I then asked if there was a screw driver I may borrow to go put them on myself, I was told they didnt have one available there at the front...In conclusion: I would never purchase a car again from this dealership and I would not recommend this dealership to anybody I cared about.
