I bought a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek in June 2020 from Prestman and wanted to wait a year with the car to do a review. Before buying, I did my research on rebuilt/branded titles for about six months and understand that things can go wrong, the same as any used car really. My review is my experience and opinion to help anyone concerned with buying a car from here.First off, BUY the WARRANTY! The warranty saved me from having to pay over $13,000 in repairs.I bought the car with just under 6,000 miles and after having the car for a few weeks I had to have a WIRING HARNESS replaced at just under 8,000 miles, the cost was $4,500 dollars, and covered under the warranty. At 30,000 miles I had to have the TRANSMISSION replaced. This was due to the incompetence of whomever they buy from or have rebuild the cars, as the transmission was leaking fluid from electrical sensors and locations where no fluid should have been. Upon inspection the Subaru dealer concluded that whoever rebuilt and worked with the transmission had not installed all the proper seals/gaskets and were missing necessary hardware to prevent this issue. Total cost for a new transmission was $9,000, and was covered under warranty. In addition to these things I also had to have an oil pressure sensor and some seals on the engine replaced due to missing hardware that caused an oil leak. Total cost was just under $500, and again covered by the warranty.As far as cosmetic issues I bought the car knowing it had been in an accident and had some wear and tear. I was assured however that the bumper had been replaced and any major issues with the body repaired or replaced. As you can see in the attached pictures the back drivers side window has a large crack in the body panel that was filled with some type of filler that eventually eroded. The crack was definitely not visible when I purchased the car and appeared about 9 months after owning the car. This is causing the paint to bubble and the metal is beginning to rust. Body panels are not covered under the warranty and I will have to cover the cost for this to be fixed properly. The bumper I was told was brand new but has clearly been bonded back together with an epoxy, NOT REPLACED WITH A NEW BUMPER. The paint on the bumper is flaking very badly as well, and it flares out at the seams because of the improper fit from the repair.Overall, I went with this dealer because of what I had heard from people I know that have purchased cars from them. My experience wasn’t completely unsatisfactory but I will say that I feel they say what they need to to get the sale and are very pushy. In the process I had asked for detailed parts and repair forms which they do not have, should have been a red flag, but continued with the purchase trusting the reviews and feedback from friends and family. I probably will not be a returning customer and hope this is helpful to anyone who reads it.

Our experience was horrible. Landon is the fakest person I have met. He told us he was applying to be a manager and needed good reviews but his work is otherwise. He was extremely nice until we paid for the car and once the payment was done he just didnt care. The car had issues even before we bought it - the engine lights were on and the A/C wasnt working. They promised to fix that before selling and thats why we paid for the car.Once the payment was done, they treated us like garbage. They kept saying we should have checked the miles on the car to expect it to be perfect! Also Landon said he was doing us a favour by fixing the car for us!! How is something that they promise and is their job a favour to us? No matter how expensive or cheap the car is, the customer still deserves good service!!!These guys are ridiculous. And all the good reviews for Landon are probably from his own friends or family because he truly is not a genuine person.

It really doesn’t get much better than this. I showed up from our of state, motivated to buy, but with the standard wariness that comes with shopping at a used car dealership. I even bought a round trip ticket so I was ready to walk if I needed to.Salesman Christian was mellow, straightforward, knowledgeable about vehicles, and clear about the vehicle history and Prestman’s business model. It took about 35 minutes and a phone call to the bank and he had an approval that beat my best expectations (and I had well-researched expectations).I’m driving off the lot today in a $45,000 truck and paid $32,000. This is day one of driving the vehicle, so this isn’t a review on the mechanical reliability of the truck. But my experience with the dealer was superb.Thanks, guys

Everyone there was great. We were working with one salesman that was very busy so Justin grabbed us and took great care of us. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Landon was an awesome salesman. They were very helpful and not pushy. Very nice lounge area. Whoever details their cars could put a little more work in the “details” like cleaning out the stow area for the seats and under the seats (found wrappers and gummy bears) but overall, very impressed.

We were looking for a used late model pickup truck. Our research led us to Prestman Auto. We called with our specifications and spoke with Matt about what they were looking for. Matt told us he had a truck coming to the dealership in a week or so that was exactly what we were looking for. When it arrived, Matt called to say that he couldn’t recommend this truck to us due to high mileage. However, he said that Prestman had an identical truck coming in that had only 18,000 miles on it. When it arrived, we were somewhat hesitant because this truck had a branded title. Matt went over the history of the truck with pictures of the damage, the CarFax report and the results of his own examination of the truck to ensure it was in 100% working order. He gave us the confidence to proceed with the purchase. We were allowed an extensive, escort-free test drive and later were given the opportunity to get a third-party inspection. Matt then sat down with us and worked out a fair price, which took all of 5 minutes! Finally, we worked with Tracy on financing and discussed the pros and cons of a warranty. We ended up buying a 10-yr 125,000-mile, bumper-to-bumper, nationwide warranty. All in all, it was a very painless and positive car-buying experience. Kudos to Matt and Tracy for their patience and thorough attention to detail from start to finish.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I don’t think anyone should be shy about buying a car from these guys. Me, my dad and brothers rebuild subarus and Prestman did an awesome repair job. I would recommend taking a longer test drive and taking to a mechanic friend or shop to do a shake down of the car if you don’t know much about cars. And if you find anything wrong, they will put it in the notes before you buy it so you don’t have to pay for it. Highly recommend these guys and chances are I’ll be back. These guys changed my view on what the experience of buying a car looks and feels like, especially with rebuilt title dealers.

I was expecting the exhaust to be from 2020 with 14,000 miles on it. The catalytic converter has already failed, and is nearly $3,000 to repair. The rear window was also replaced with a used unit. I am fairly certain that the heating element is broken; however, I cant confirm until we get some cold weather.I did reach out to Prestman and never received a call back.I understood that this was a salvage vehicle but my issue it that the extent of the damage was misrepresented and I do not recommend doing business with Prestman.

Prestman has a large inventory of lots of Vehicles so anyone should be able to find a car in the price range they can afford. Their employees are very good to work with. Just note that they will try to sell you a warranty policy that can cost anywhere from $1000 to $4000 dollars. I would ask how many keys they have for the car youre interested in. If they only have one, like with my vehicle, negotiate a 2nd key into the deal. One amazing thing they do is that they fill your vehicles tank completely up with fuel before letting you drive off.

This is hands down the BEST DEALERSHIP IN UTAH! If ya don’t believe me just walk through the door and be amazed. If you buy a car anywhere else you’re dong it wrong! I would recommend Prestman to friends family and Steve who I don’t know but im sending him to Prestman!!

This is my first review. I wasn’t going to write one but I just felt like I had to. To warn people to stay away! I thought I’d give them a try and save a bit of money. Trust me you won’t save any! As we all know these vehicles that they carry have been in a collision. They try and fix them to bring back to spec. The problem is that their attention to detail is horrible. The first vehicle I was going to purchase was a Toyota Highlander. The ac stopped working after two days, all of the moldings were bent and they just try and glue them back on. Cracked taillights and grease prints all over the vehicle and interior. Also the gas pedal was jammed or something so you could only take off super slow. I told them these issues had to be fixed. Their shop was so backed up it was going to be while to get the vehicle back into the shop. So we looked at more vehicles. The next vehicle is a Ford Explorer. It has some blemishes which is okay. I’m not expecting a perfect car. But I noticed once we took it home the airbag light came on. And nothing on the steering wheel would not work. Also found the air for the back of the vehicle would not work. Finally after 3 weeks they were able to get it in their shop to fix the airbag issue but never fixed the ac in the back. At this point I’d rather fix it myself. I don’t trust what they do. They cut corners and you could tell in the vehicles they carry. This vehicle had moldings and flares coming off as well because they just glue them on to save money. I feel like an idiot for taking it here! PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!! YOU THINK YOURE SAVING MONEY!! NOT TRUE!!!

This is the 2nd time Ive purchased a car from Prestman Auto. I purchased my first car in May of 2020, I was recently hit and my car was total loss. Not knowing what to do and needing to give my rental car back I went back to Prestman Auto. I was treated like an old friend. They were so wonderful to work with again. I was treated fairly and got another great deal and a great car. I worked with Christian, fairly new to his position at Prestman, he was very knowledgeable and patient with me. Because I was a return customer the whole purchase process went pretty quick. I would highly recommend purchasing from Prestman Auto, or just go and see their large selection to compare for yourself.

I just purchased a vehicle from Prestman Auto. Matt and Jack helped us and everything went so smoothly. We signed all the paperwork online making for a stress free experience. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Service was good after showing cash to purchase the vehicle. Before I showed the cash, the sales rep gave the car to other people to drive while I was getting ready to buy. I told them I was pressed for time and needed to do the purchase and the rep told me to wait until the other customer drove the car to see if they wanted to buy the car at a higher price. Overall it was a good buying experience just sales reps trying to get the most money possible.

Incompetence abounds. Absolutely the worst car buying experience Ive ever had.Got a good deal on a decent car. But they didnt complete emissions on the car before selling it to me, and didnt inform me until after my temporary tags expired and I called to ask about registration. Took the car in to them the next day (called ahead to tell them I was coming and make sure that it was just emissions that was needed). Get there and find out that there were some repairs that they needed to do on the car. They knew about these repairs ahead of time, but for whatever reason didnt tell me until I got there for the quick emissions check.What was supposed to be a 15-minute stop in to fix their error on the emissions turned into them needing to keep the car for a few days to fix things that they previously knew needed to be repaired, but for whatever reason decided not to tell me ahead of time when I called to check.They were apologetic and nice enough to pay for a rental, but I am absolutely blown away by the incompetence and ridiculously poor communication.

I worked with both James and Tracy for finding my car and honestly the process was ridiculously easy! This was my first time buying a car and they both were super helpful and answered all of my questions! The salespeople were very friendly and reassuring, but thats about it. I feel like I got pushed into buying a car from them. They shipped the car out to me without giving me enough time to research and read all the literature they sent, or get my questions answered.

Went in to look at and test drive a 2018 Durango R/T and was very happy with the experience. The computer system did crash and they had to do everything manually but everyone was so friendly and Gus our sales man was top notch. It was my girlfriends first time financing a car and the experience and car is something she wll remember but for positive reasons.Would recommend anyone to them for business.

After a few short miles from the dealership the AC stopped working. I believe they put it back together wrong. That cost me $700 to fix. I have been having an issue with the fuel tank. Found out they installed the fuel pump assembly wrong. . Rushed the job and got it in at a 45% angle so that needed to be replaced. $1200. If I had known the sloppy workmanship I would have NEVER purchased this truck

I was really impressed by Prestman Auto! My sales rep, Matt Zollinger was awesome! I really felt well taken care of. I like that they have their own mechanic shop. The sales office was great. Matt told me that the building used to be a burned out warehouse. It looks great. It seems to me that they treat their vehicles the same way. I bought a truck there and its in excellent condition. I think this is a business that takes pride in their work and treats the customer right. Im definitely going back to Prestman for my next car!

Booked an appointment three days out to come and buy a car. I didn’t hear anything the day before as promised so I called before making the 45 minute drive to dealership. I was told that unfortunately the car had been taken to the service department and wasn’t going to be available to buy but might be in a few days. Not very happy that I lost an entire day and now have to restart the whole process. Communication is the easiest form of customer service and from my experience it is falling short.

These guys are really great to work with. Very professional and they run a cool business. Their building and their people show that they value us a customers and they go the extra mile. Matt spent a ton of time with us and helped run down answers to every question that we could throw at him. Please look up him and Tyler when you get there. They will treat you right. I didnt buy a vehicle from Prestman but if you do decide to go, ask for Landon. I was interested in a vehicle at Prestman. I forwarded my info on their website and a guy name Matt texted asking when I come in. My schedule is pretty busy so when I did have a chance I dropped in. When I arrived I wandered the lot for a bit until Landon finally came over to help me out. He was very helpful and informative. When I was done test driving the vehicles, their were a lot of people and I didnt see Landon either. Since I did drop in unexpectedly and they were pretty busy and Landon did get my phone number, I figured it was ok to leave. I texted Matt saying I could come in the next day, and I filled out the online credit application. I was pretty much doing the legwork. Hardly any responses from Matt. When he did text back, he said theyd need $4000-$5000 down. I said that didnt seem right when the vehicle was priced the same it was last year with half the mileage before it was salvaged. I was willing to negotiate but they obviously dont care for my business.

I bought a car from Prestman a few months ago for a good price and have had next to no issues with since. I say next to no because of regular issues that have to do with the manufacturer more than Prestman. The salesman was very nice and the buying process was simple and easy and they even let me split my purchase because of purchasing limits imposed by my card company. I also recently took the car in for an oil change and inspection and had a similar experience. The only reason Im giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that in both instances of going into the dealership and service the employees were not wearing masks until customers came in. I know it can be annoying to have to wear masks all day but if we want to get to a place where we wont need them anymore, we have to remain vigilant and keep wearing them until that time comes.

Sales and Finance Departments do all they can to work with you. I wanted a little more for my trade. They gave me a little more for the trade and came down on the price to make the numbers work. Acura ILX was in pristine condition with only 9,700 miles on it. Vehicle was put back into factory condition! Interest rate was only 2.49%. Great vehicle and awesome staff. No high pressure sales tactics. I highly recommend Prestman Auto!
