Great business! Super good prices, and a really nice selection of stylish clothing! The employees at this location are super awesome too! I was greeted with a smile and a welcome as soon as I walked in the door, and they made sure I found everything okay. The girl who checked me out for my purchase was super sweet, and also let me know that the jewelry I was purchasing was BOGO half off, which I didn’t realize and totally made my day!

WOW! Im from Las Vegas and there we have a store with a similar theme of selling second-hand clothes, but this beats my hometown store by far! I got all these items for a total of $8. The associate who helped me named Tom was super sweet too!**update- went back today and got more stuff and the below pic shows everything I got for only $28 total! Ive spent that much on a single pair of jeans 😅. The most expensive thing I got was $3. I should mention this was all 70% off since theyre having an awesome sale right now until early July! Other items were on sale for 25% and 50% too :).

These stores are a goldmine if you are patient enough to look through, this store specifically has really friendly staff that greets you as you walk in and are very helpful when you need to try on clothes, good downtown location and easy to find parking. My only suggestion would be that once you visit one, rotate through the other locations, then by the time you make it back there will be new things you can buy! #lfthx

Uptown Cheapskates is a truly interesting place! It’s all used and stylish clothes the male to female clothes percentage is about 80% woman’s clothes and 20% male. The prices are great for some of the brands. I found lots of Under Amour and Nike. My sister found loads of trending/stylish clothes. There is even a nice shoe selection. The staff is amazing and helpful, if you need help holding on to items they provide a cubby with your name on it. The parking in the area is limited and most of it you have to pay for at a parking meter. The meters accept quarters and credit card. Overall I recommend Uptown Cheapskates and this is not like any thrift or second hand stores I have ever been to.

We (three daughters and I) LOVE Sugarhouse Uptown Cheapskate!!! There are always great items in our style at the perfect price. The staff is super helpful, kind, fun and inviting. They also have lots of clean, well lit dressing rooms. We always leave with an arm full of new-to-us favorite additions to our wardrobe. Thank you Uptown! You’re the best!

They have cute clothes and great prices! I liked how in their dressing room they had hooks labeled with loved it and not now so you can organize as you try them on. Got a dress and jumper and only spent $25.

This store is a gem of downtown SLC. Beautifully lit and well spaced, it’s a thrift store with both trendy and classy clothing. Both sales clerks were friendly, informative and efficient at providing service to customers. Definitely a great place to go if you enjoy thrifting!

I always lived by the Sugarhouse location, but I came to the downtown location today and found so many things I loved at such a good price and half of them were an additional 70% off. The most expensive item I purchased was a pair of black denim distressed shorts for $7.99. The employees were friendly and held my clothes while I shopped until I was ready for a fitting room. I’ll definitely be coming back!

An incredible resale shop for anyone with high-end designer clothes. Not only are all of the clothes near brand-new condition, theyre also super neat, organized and easy to sort through. I got a great cardigan thats incredibly warm and it was about 10$!Theres tons of shoes, pants, shirts, sweaters, jackets and more here. I will absolutely be back for another shopping spree soon!

This place is the best! Super cheap, and clean products that are designer brands at a really low price. Sometimes I can’t even tell that the clothing has even been worn at all! I love this place and we like to buy a lot of our outfits here not only for ourselves. But for me our clients we do photography shoots with. So here are some pictures in uptown gear!

Great selection of quality used brand new clothes! I was able to get a pair of barely worn doc Martins for $40! They have a lot of the store on sale too so everything is even more affordable than the already good prices. All of the people working there were really positive and friendly both with the customers and among each other. I will be shopping here a lot more from now on. Below are the two pairs of shoes I got from them for less than $50 total

Very awesome place. I was planning on spending a ton of money at the mall today but stopped by Cheapskate to see what they had. I got a bunch of great quality name brand shirts for the price on one Ralph Lauren polo new. If you dont mind buying used clothes, hit them up. Theyll have something you like at a great price.

I just saw the managers do a great job managing a hard situation inside of the store with some homeless shoplifters. The zone is dangerous and I feel like this two young ladies did a great job keeping everyone calm, safe and secure while the cops made it to the store. I feel sorry that they had to deal with all that craziness but I will definitely come back and you won my respect. Im impressed

I love this store ! Their inventory is always changing. I’m always greeted immediately and treated like a VIP. I popped in this store all the time with a need to complete my outfit, Lina always makes suggestions and asks me what I’m looking for ! The whole staff is awesome, always greet prices, and sales. In my opinion these guys are world class A holes. I shared my opion with them in a calm collective manner and they seemed not to agree and asked me to leave and never come back. Honeslty they are a over priced used clothing store not a thrift sotre. Take care guys Im glade I could share therefore you could avoid this trap.

This store is awesome. Its clean and well-organized and doesnt look at all like your regular clothing store. Their used stuff is good, but they also have lots of lower-priced new product. I found a bunch of cute new blouses the last time I went in and a super cute pair of True religions for like $50. Love it. Definitely planning on shopping there again.

We went in after having a few cocktails and it was close to closing time on October 12. One of the employees came to me and said that they were closing in 15 minutes. I informed her were almost done no problem. The same employee went to my girlfriend and told her that we smelled of alcohol and asked us to please check out and leave. We were going to spend over 400 dollars cash and she proceeded to tell us it was counterfeit and would not accept the cash. We just got the cash from America first CU a few days before.

I went in to sell some stuff. The store was pretty busy, not bad. But out of the several females in the store with a purse, I was the only one singled out to have to turn my bag in at the front. Let’s just say I felt really horrible for being the only person being told I couldn’t carry my bag while I shopped. If it was a concern for stealing, then they targeted the wrong person because several women in the store had purses twice as big as mine. I won’t be selling or shopping at this location anymore.

Wife and I did a lot of thrift store shopping during our visit to Utah and this was the best store for clothes by far. The mens section is obviously smaller but had a great selection and was well organized. Large selection of womens clothing that seems to grow and grow. The entire time we were in the store women were bringing in clothes to sell while they shopped. We both walked out with a few items and are satisfied with our finds.My wife and I arent really shoppers but we spent well over and hour in the store. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great store to visit.

One of the best consignment stores I have ever been too. Great deal specially with their semi annual sales of 70% and 80% off. Great name brands and staff are very helpful. Look out for Ambar and Nicole they are super helpful and great!

Rating based on the fact that the hours they buy are not listed online, so arriving within the online hours is a waste of a drive there. May up-star if that changes.

This place is huge! I was shocked at how big the place was. They have a large collection of used and new clothing so if youre looking for something, youll probably find it here. The employees were nice and helpful and parking was easy to find on the street and not a huge deal. I would definitely recommend coming here!

After being gone for 10 months and needing some new clothes I was truly amazed and satisfied at the selection and staff at Uptown Cheapskate. The selection they had which was discounted 80% was top quality name brand. If you are new to Salt Lake City weve been here well I recommend the store.

A second hand store that doesnt feel second-rate. Great brands, tons of selection, and even an assortment of quirky and ugly holiday sweaters (so cute!). The associates are helpful, and their buying process is very straightforward. Definitely more female oriented, as I found their mens section a little lacking, but overall, the brands are great, the condition of the clothing is always gently worn to new with tags, and the styles are on trend. I wouldnt go here to find unique pieces though, as the fashion is quite mainstream.

Cool store with used and brand new clothing, favorite thrift store in town! They host charity events a few times a year to help build schools around the world. They have awesome sales and you can always get original designer clothes and bags for a fraction of the price 😱 you have to visit if you are in town.

This place is dangerous - I always have to have a firm budget or I spend way too much money! It always has what I want. The downtown one includes more business casual finds than the Sugarhouse one.

I have never sold closing at this store, but I shop here all the time and I can almost always come away with a few items that I love. The price is awesome and the brands are ones that I normally wouldnt pay full price for, so to get them between five and $20 is a great value. I tell my friends about this place all the time because I truly do think it is better then Ross or other similar discount retailers.

Many people think that in this place you can sell your clothes at the price of Macys, Understand people, your clothes are second hand. Do not come here to offend the employees or other people who are waiting to sell their clothes. The employees are great, the manager always helping everyone, thanks

Horrible customer service!!!The lady at the counter was taking her sweet sweeeeeet time ringing me up. I was in a hurry, asked her to just throw all the clothes in a bag instead or neatly folding the clothes. She instead folded all the clothes then took off the sensors of the clothes then folded them (AGAIN)! While folding the clothes she would glance up at me then smile. Not a nice hello to see you type of smile. It was a I know exactly what Im doing type of smile.She insisted to put me in the system, refusing to just look up my original account. I gave her my ID too look up my old account, she barely glanced at it. Then said Im not in the system. I asked did you spell it correctly? She looked up from her computer to me with aggravation in her eyes relied, yes.Finally when my purchase was complete she scanned coupons on her computer. One after the other she again took her sweet time. When all the coupons were on the counter she then grabbed the coupons out of my reach and they are not activated unless they are put together. By putting then together she just stapled then. By stapling then together activated the coupons. ( not scanning the coupons on the computer) but stapling them.Horrible experience, rude customer service, if I could give a zero star I would.

These kids are completely unprofessional and rude. A bunch of snotty teenagers work here and act like they dont want to help you at all. I came in to give them some clothes and they were standing in the back talking to one another. It took a minute for them to even look up at me standing at the counter, to which most of them just turned back around and kept talking to each other. A girl finally came up to help me, looked at me standing in front of the counter, then yelled to her coworkers Can someone else do this, Ive been doing this all day! and walked away from me. The next girl came up and she explained to me how it works (she was the only nice one there). They barely looked through my clothes for about 3 minutes and didnt give me much money, which is fine. I asked why and the first girl said I dont know.... and yelled into the store for her other coworker who looked through my clothes to give me a better answer. She never came, so I stood there waiting for nothing. I decided to leave without an answer because I was so disappointed and annoyed with them. Awful experience.

But the last week was a really bad experience, Andrea checked me out, she was so rude when she asked me to type my phone number in the ipad, she looked like she didnt even wanted to be there. She forgot to take the sensor off 3 of my items. Really bad. !!!

Absolutely terrible!!! I have tried 2 of the 3 stores and both were terrible. The downtown store I walked on at 7:03. They couldnt do anything for me. It took 10 minutes to find a parking spot and then had a walk, and then to be turned away. I could understand if it was 10-15 after 7:00. I drove a long way and then to be turned away was awful. There was not anyone on the store to top it off. I checked the website again and IT DOES NOT SAY A TIME THAT YOU STOP TAKING THINGS!!! terrible customer service! The Murray store stinks like dirty clothes and the employees look the same. Both of the stores I have been to need instructions on how to treat a customer and how to look professional. I dont even think you deserve one star.

This Uptown Cheapskate is alright. Their customer service is okay, I have seen the employees shopping while they were working. Their items are mostly flawed, from my experience. I would recommend other Uptown Cheapskates before this one.
