Great Asian market found what we needed. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
First time shopping here. Selection of products was decent was this size store. Some prices were pretty good. Others were a bit on the high side.
They have fresh seafood and live blue crabs but not always available for the crabs. Best day to go Thursday afternoon and Friday. It has a Variety of east asia vegetables and products.
The entire grocery store has a stink and bad smell. The are many produce and merchandise without price tag. The owner or staff are not cordials when you ask where are the wanted products doesnt like to be bothered. They just point a finger into somewhere the store to be found instead of walking into the aisle or shelves.
This is a great find for the west side of town! All the good Asian markets are over twice the distance away on the NE side. Its also en route from work to home, so thats convenient for me to stop by as I want to cook stuff. This medium sized store has a good selection of raw ingredients and fresh produce and they seem to have the key ingredients that I could only previously get at the bigger stores like Shaoxing cooking wine. Looking forward to shopping here. :)
Live crabs, affordable to try new items.
Stumbled on this place on accident. My kids love these certain flavored drinks not found at the basic, common grocery stores. We picked up some items. This place was stocked and employees are friendly. I highly recommend going if youre close by.
This Asian grocery has all of your cooking ingredients and supplies plus a boba tea station! If you’re looking for east or southeast Asian ingredients or cooking supplies, it’s likely you will find it here. Here you can find fresh produce along with meat and seafoods that can be hard to find elsewhere. I specifically visit this location because they carry the type of dumpling wrapper I need. I haven’t had any issues at this store, but it may help to have a photo of exactly what you’re looking for when you come in to shop (if you can’t find it on your own). I’m so glad to have Asia Market nearby!Edit: You need a minimum of $10 worth of merch to use a card at this store. I’m adding this because I’ve witnessed more than one person that wanted to just grab an item or two that didn’t add up to $10.
Great selection of items and fresh vegetables. New shipments live blue crab every Thursday. Visited on Friday and there was some still alive and available. Will shop here again.
Horrendous customer service. I bought a bottle of chili oil two days ago and came in today to exchange it with a different bottle. I went up to the counter to exchange it and told the cashier I just needed to get the receipt out of my purse. She raised her voice at me and asked if I brought the bottle from outside. I said I did but I bought it here and just needed to get the receipt. She continued, in a raised voice, that it didn’t matter because I came into the store without notifying her first that I wanted to exchange the item. I asked her why that matters if I have a receipt from her store. She said I wouldn’t be able to walk into HEB or Wal-Mart and do the same thing, so why should I expect to do that at her store. She claimed she wouldn’t know if I just came in and grabbed the item and attempted to say I was exchanging it. Again, I asked why that would matter if I had a receipt, and she continued to say that it didn’t matter. I told her that if her store policy is to show the item one wishes to exchange to the cashier immediately upon arrival, she should post that up on her store’s entrance. I told her I would never ever come back and I hope nobody else bothers with this store, either. I was honestly very excited to shop here because the products are awesome and authentic. But with service like this, forget it.
Good place with a good selection of Asian products as well as fresh fish, fruits, and vegetables.
Absolutely amazing service. Fresh groceries, great prices, and service, Great selection, and customer service. Not only is the food amazing but its also a great value considering the low prices and large servings. I also love the market which has a great selection and prices everyone who works here is very nice and friendly. Will return in the future.!
Its supposed to marking zero if this rating system could, terrible if not horrendous experience inside this den. I am Chinese, but I cannot understand what the heck the sales clerk talking about. I am nervous every second inside this so called market, the impression is a typical gang controlled shops as those you can check in Jack Chens hollywood movies or some Mafia types.never ever go back again.
Unique and interesting shop! Came in here after having dinner nearby and went home with a few teas and snacks. Im always fascinated by Asian markets and love to try new things, and this place is no exception. Very few items of merchandise are a bit out of date/not so fresh, so be mindful when shopping.
Ive been to asian markets 10Xs this size that didnt stink like this one and the people working there are some of the rudest asians Ive ever been in contact with.
They have a lot of variety in Orientle shopping. Weather it be Philipino, Korean, Japanese Chinese...
Good selection of items. Seemed to be missing others but that may be due to the recent weather. Staff is friendly
Very wide selection but seems mostly aimed at restaurants. Hard to find smaller portions of some ingredents. And I didnt notice signs foe the aisles. Many things did not have price. Slight smell because of fish market. Not much baked goods or meats. Good prices thou!
I saw this store via Google and called them and ask May I know what kind of fishes do you have at the store? The guy who answered the phone replied in a very upset tone - I dont know what kind of fish you like, we have many fish here, ok!?! then hanged up on me. Wow!!! Of course - I never went. Never will.
Good asian groceries can be found here
Huge selection of noodles. Nice little store.
Love be there but the working don’t greet you nice and be so rude to us so I stop shop there
It was my first trip to the store to check it out. As I walked in, the store smelled fishy. They do have fish apparently.I have noticed most of the produce are not as fresh.Just need to find out the day they get fresh deliveries.
Interesting foods
Big store, ok selection, but less crowded than Tims.
Has a great variety of oriental foods.Good atmosphere.Good customer service.
Love the selections. Boba is awesome!
I thought I could find everything here . But naaaaah 😂👎
Poor people and customers service.Talk very bad with us, doesnt speak English right and couldnt understand, I asked for help and they Talked to me very bad, and the store smells very bad and not clean at all.
Good place to come for fresh veggies, herbs, spices and sauces. Lots of good snacks here also.
Great place for Oriental groceries. Large selection of items and helpful staff. Was able to find a lot of things even the bigger stores didnt have. Great prices as well!
Have a good selection but the cashier is kinda rude 😒
It is okay...i cant get over the fish smell in this place.
The fish is spoiled and has an unpleasant smell. This is not the first time. I have been to the hospital last time because I ate something sold in that shop. That shop often sells some expired and stale food. I will never go again next time.
This quaint Asian grocery has a great selection for a store its size. They have a great selection of Asian vegetables as well as seafood. They also sell various other items like Asian cookware and even a few clothing and religious items. Around Christmastime, they make whole Peking duck in house!
Great selection of Asian foods and fresh produce. Some fresh baked goods too if you show up early enough. They have whole or half peeking ducks available daily. But it does smell in there, fair warning. The place is clean but there is a somewhat unpleasant scent as soon as you walk in, which is why it gets for stars instead of five.
They really improved over the years. They have really good vegetables.snd meat selections. I saw lots of people with baskets of specialty vegetables packing up the back of their cars. I was buying for a friends restaraunt and my Chinese is not the best. The people were really friendly and helped me to fill the order. I love my Chinese vegetables and I know when to go for the best selection. This will be a regular stop for me.
Cool place
First time here... Probably our last. Walk in the store and a nicely dressed man is at counter... TALKING on 2 cell phones. We did not see anyone else in the store. I went to counter for assistance and he turns his back to me and continues on his conversation. I wait a few minutes he still doesnt acknowledge me, so l loudly say excuse me, could you help me? Then he does. I asked him for one item a specific Chinese drinking wine and he points to an aisle. I had to ask him to show me. He points to the bottom shelf at what looks like a empty space. I must have had a confused look on my face, because he then stooped down and pulled a bottle of cooking wine from the back of the shelf to the front of the shelf and pointed at it, then stepped aside. It wasnt what we wanted. We wanted a drinking wine then he told us he didnt carry it. I asked him if he knew of a place we might be able to get it...He replies Houston. We will probably go to Houston before we go back to this store.
Being new to the SA area, I would kill to fix me up some decent Chinese food. Found this little gem that sells a great variety of asian snacks, foods, and produce. Let’s be honest, this is a SMALL family owned store. And from the looks of it, one of the very few asian supermarkets around the area. Things are going to expensive. It’s a part of supporting a mom and pop store. They have a whole section dedicated making milk tea. If you’re someone who loves tapioca aka boba/bubble milk tea it’s a heaven. They carry Tea-Zone which is used by a lot of tea shops.Lady running the place is hella mean and rude. Overall a decent experience and might return for groceries.
Man, these ladies that work there are so rude! Lol!I guess theyre the owners!
I come here for kimchi, sauces and nori. Good selection overall
Very cheap and nice.
They sell white flower oil here, at a very reasonable price I might add. Its a topical that helps way more than Bengay. But it took a little while to get some help, as it is kept in a locked cabinet, and the cashier did not speak English. I was patient.
Its big. They have roasted porks and ducks. Fresh seafoods. Poultry.
Excellent variety of merchandise. Too bad the customer service is terrible and some of the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life! I would describe in detail, but it would take too long. Go down the road to other markets if you want to keep having a good day. Believe me, going inside of this Asia Market can do some things to your nerves.
Great selection of authentic Asian products nice staff great prices
There is an odour when you first walk in, but it reminded me of the Asian markets in Hawaii, and there were plenty of them. The employees are nice once you get to know them, and I bought some shredded ika (squid) from them.It is great for finding rare items, but I do not recommend buying the meat from them.
A true Asian market, with boxes of live crabs on the floor and seven different types of mushrooms fresh on the shelves. LOTS of fish on ice. And of course thats smelled that only exist in Asian markets. As a non-asian I felt kind of invisible to the staff.
Very helpful in your needs and your questions assortment of seafood also saw some good bones for fao great vegetables also peppers for kimchie.enjoyed. cheaper than other asian stores
Lots of quality asian foods and spices including tofu and tapioca. The meats look really fresh and they also sell duck :D
No one there spoke English.......couldnt get help on what kind of fresh fish they had. The food in the freezer section looked old and there was mold on a package of mushrooms. I did find rice paper that was extremely cheap. That was the only positive aspect of my visit.
Customer service was absolutely AWFUL, I dont appreciate calling TWICE to check if they have an item that I really needed for a party.Friends and I proceeded to drive 30 minutes in traffic only to 1. Find out they do not have it in stock and 2. Not even have the workers bother to help us.I wont be returning here considering the 1hr round-trip and sub par service...
Great selection and prices compared to other Asian grocers in the city
Well organized and very friendly and helpful.
Place has an odor thats overwhelming but its because of the not-so-fresh produce and other things they have there. The varieties of stuff are great. I find everything I need here.
Friendly but it smells bad !! Sorry
They have a wide variety of products, from fresh produce to seafood and baked goods. They have an exhaustive selection of sauces and oils as well as crackers, pre-packaged drinks, and sweets. I love to visit the tea aisle where they have overwhelming array of tea, smoothie, and Boba products. The proprietor was very helpful in helping me find some products that I knew I wanted but couldnt locate on the shelf, and even steered me toward a better brand of a certain product that I was looking for. Very friendly and efficient -- I love shopping here!
Beware! I went in for curry paste and came out with 3 bags full of all sorts of goodies. Everything has been excellent and the staff were nice.
A decent selection of Asian goods at a decent price
Very friendly man at register . Good vibes !
Love the live blue crabs
The smell, feel, selection, presentation and cleanliness are all atrocious. It has been a long time since Ive seen a business that was so poorly presented that it was offensive but this sure did it.They dont have a very good selection, the air is thick and smells of old fish (that was not even refrigerated/iced), and the entire place was a cluttered mess with boxes and items left all around the store, leaving it seem like an old storage closet.
Stinky, funky, awesomely delicious place. Kimchee, chicken feet, great service
Great place to go and buy Asian food groceries and the cheapest also in town
You need to know what youre looking for and look in the market area. Help is limited. Best roast duck in town..
Such large variety of things. However the fish seems to be old, refrozen several times perhaps. The freezers containing frozen foods have many items that look way past due date. Frost bite and ugly. After doing a price check I CAN CONFIRM!!!!! That the prices here are also inflated by $1 to $3 dollars. So instead of paying $5.99 for an item at most other asian stores here youll pay $7.99 so ingredients could start to get a bit pricey. Some items are not clear on price as they dont have any on them. The only reason I return to this place is because its the only market Ive found with the Coconut cream filled sunflower crackers. Anyways its fine the staff/ or owner whomever he may be seems a bit rude.
First time here ..my granddaughter brought me..thur is day fresh things come in..I went for the fresh bread (sweet) sponge..yumFresh cooked duck..next time Ill get some.clean place
So many NOODLES to choice from and even has a bubble tea place 😆
Smells terrible as soon as you walk in. And almost everything sold there is expired, so beware. Make sure to check the expiration date on everything before buying.
I found what I needed and the cashier seemed nice, but alot of other staff made me feel unwelcome with their glares. There is a strong smell when you first enter, be warned.
Mom comes here a lot to get ingredient for her filipino food. But it has a good variety of different foods
Decent selection in variety of offerings
Great pace to get unique chinese ingredient.
Biggest Chinese grocery store in San Antonio! Owner are really nice, lots of buying option! 5 stars for support over here!
Definitely more oriented towards Chinese. Still a very nice wide selection and super friendly staff!
Very nice selection of Asian food products.
Im bias I love this place. Its my go to for all my overseas shopping
Great place for Asian food. Best shopping day is Thursday morning.
Place smells like a landfill in Bikini Bottom!
Good selection of fresh asian vegetables. Decent prices.
Super friendly and he answered all the questions ... I will return
This is a nice grocery store. They have a great fresh produce selection.
One of my favorite market, you get whatever you need here
Place has a strong smell there is not much of asian products
Great store. Found everything I was looking for. Thumbs up👍👍
Improved now. b4 used to smell fish
Large selection and I am able to find all the hard to find ingredients I love. Including jackfruit, durian, and loganberries.
The cashier is extremely rude, he is absolutely not helpful. The items are also expensive, and sometimes they have what you need, sometimes they dont.
Good produce selection, great noodle selection, tons of dried and frozen goodies.
Found everything we needed when my brother and his wife can to town.
This is the cleanest and most organized Asian Market I have been to in San Antonio. Lots of fresh veggies.
This place was amazing. People were so kind and helpful.
Small selection, with food that should be kept cold was warm as hell and looked old
Very bad service 😒
OMG! There was something rotting in there, I had to leave
This is not good. This is not good store their cage was not help the customer its unfair everytime I go Im bored something its not complete when Im back that cashier told me I can help you this is not my responsibility the other cashier responsibil and today is she off you come tomorrow.. its unfair ...I hate that store smelly bad bad smelly bad
Good prices and fast service.
Awesome place to shop international food.
