Was getting a maintenance service note for my 2021 tacoma. It was at 9100miles. Getting ready for road trip so I decided to take it in. It was 1030am on a Tue. Scheduled Quick Service on-line for 11am. Very easy. Showed up early & got taken care of by Ms. Freddie. With in 30mins I received multi point inspection video via text by technician telling me of their work and finding. All looked good π. Great and easy 10k service today. These guys here on 410 are excellent on their services. Give them a try π
Amazing service. I bought a Tacoma last summer and luckily got the warranty that covers tire repair and replacement. I managed to get four flats in the same night while driving in a storm, but made it to the dealership before my truck became completely unmovable. I called early the next morning and Ashley was extremely helpful in getting all four tires replaced within a few hours with no cost to me. The waiting area was clean and modern-looking, with several amenities to include a childrenβs play area and a coffee shop, as well as complimentary snacks and beverages. Iβm thoroughly impressed with the service I received and my experience overall. I will definitely be doing business here in the future.
They did not provide the warranty nor rebate information they discussed with me to convince me to by the tires they sold me. They 3 men who brought me my car were rude when I asked about the inspection sticker not being placed in the window as I had requested. This is my first bad experience here. Normally they are exceptional.
I had an outstanding experience from start to finish and theres so many people to thank but the guy who really made it all happen was James Valdez. He walked me through every step of the buying process and made me feel comfortable in my new truck. If you want a great experience Im sure anyone can help but I KNOW James will take care of you. One of the best service centers I have taken my vehicle to get its service done.
People were very helpful, pretty good service. Only issue, I went to pay and get my car Saturday after dropping my car off Friday and the specific payment system for my Synchrony card was down. They told me they would contact me when its back up but never did. Had to pick my car up on Monday since they were closed Sunday. So went a weekend without my car. My only issue was the lack of communication after they told me they would. Other than that most of it was out of their control but they were very pleasant.
Great service by Cavender. I am on my 2nd car with them. I have been swamped with work. And I learned they had a pickup and drop off service as I was close to the center and it went better then I was expecting. Even got a video going over my maintenance that to me was the best part. As I do like to see what they point out.
Great people ready to service my vehicle best in town
This was my first visit to Toyota service department for an oil change. Service staff Ernesto did an amazing job helping me know where to go, follow up with my visit and at the end walked me to the cashier area for check out. Toyota provides on online assessment of the vehicles inspection and a video of the rep looking over your car with recommendations. I have never had this at my oil inspections before, adds a nice unique experience. They are busy on Saturdays so the service was over an hour, but come during the week and service is much faster.
Not good. As usual you go in for what you think will be a routine $200 visit but techs manage to find so much more. Grandmas car is 2007 Rav4 with 64k miles... that car has had a cushy life with regular maintenance. Plus, after maintenance I picked up car to drive away and the battery light was on. They were letting go me drive away with that. So I drove out, did a U turn and drove right in to the service lane to leave it again a second night. ...hmmm

I wish I could say I had a great experience, but I was not impressed by the customer service received by the service department. Initially, it appeared I was going to be impressed. There seemed to be a great operation going as soon as I arrived. I was greeted quickly for my 10 am appointment and brought to sign the forms to agree for maintenance on my safety recall. I was asked if I had some time to spare for the repair to be completed and that they could have it ready for me that same afternoon. I told them sure and they arranged for the shuttle to take me to the mall while I waited. I was given a call a little after 3 pm and was told that the sealant they would use would require a 12-hour cure check. This would obviously mean I would have to leave the vehicle overnight. I was not informed of this at the beginning, otherwise I would have never agreed to the service and picked a different day for arrangements to be made to leave my truck overnight. I was given the option of picking it up and it not sealing properly (it had been raining that day) or leave it overnight βso that it could be done rightβ. I had to pay for an uber to pick me up from the mall so that I could be driven to my wifeβs work so that I could take her vehicle in order to pick up our son from daycare. My wife works at a hospital and employee parking is a good distance away from the hospital (they provide shuttles to get employees from the parking lot to the hospital). Given that I donβt have an employee badge, I had to walk from the hospital to the parking lot. It rained on me and my shoes were covered in mud. Then I would have to make a trip that same night to pick up my wife after her shift. All of this was a huge inconvenience that could have been avoided had I been told from the beginning that a 12-hour cure check would be involved after hours of maintenance. Instead, I get told after Iβve been waiting hours at a mall. The biggest thing that gets me is that I was not once offered an apology for the inconvenience. All I got when I told the service team when they called that I would have to pay for an uber to pick up my wifeβs vehicle was the comment βsounds goodβ. Iβve been to dealerships where in the same situation they would give an apology, offer a loner vehicle for the night, or at minimum offer to call someone to assist me with transportation. I couldnβt even get an apology so it is no surprise none of the other options were given to me. I gave the team at Cavender a shot and I feel let down by the lack of good customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
The service is always great. The cost for some of the recommended services that you can do from home, a bit pricey.

Supposedly if you make a appointment and drop off your vehicle they tend to push it back because you are not physically waiting here, you dropped it off?? So in other words with what a assistant manager told me, doesnt matter if you make a appointment, because it wont be started right away. My car has been sitting in the back for about 45 with what I saw with my own eyes. I legit walked across the street at sales for a bit told them I would be here, but assumed I dropped it off? Basically wasting my time, dont take down appointments then! Everyones customer service was horrible.
I have bought several vehicles over the years from Cavender Toyota. I got up early to get scheduled maintenance done on my car. (35000 mile maintenance) I did not make an appointment for this visit. I was told I would have to leave my vehicle and it would take a very long time to get to it. This will be my very last trip to Cavender Toyota. I will never purchase another car or service from this place.
All these people and no one can answer a phone call. When I called in to make the appointment the woman told me to come in a 2 pm because it was the slowest time of the day. When I arrived I was told Id wait about 2 hours for two tire changes, tire rotation and an alignment... I WAITED 3 HOURS. discounts were not applied as discussed, I had to go back to get them applied. When my car was finally ready I went to cash out and the cashier was on her phone laughing while I was swiping my card. NEW BUILDING SAME SHITY CUSTOMERS SERVICE.
I got help from Gabriel Garcia. He helped me so much my car stayed on for a whole 8 years!!! Give him a raise.

Took my car there back in October for general service. They drove it around after I paid and no one mentioned that they broke/didnβt put back on one of my hubcaps. Guess they just thought I might not notice. Pointed it out to advisor and he stated he would order one and I would get a call next week. No call, nothing for two weeks. I called in and was given the run around and someone said it was ordered but the parts department had gone home, so couldnβt get an answer. After two more weeks of nothing, I had to call 4 times since each department kept transferring me back and forth with no luck. Asked for a supervisor. I explained the situation, he apologized and said someone would call me back. Did get a call back and the advisor said my hubcaps werenβt specific to my car at purchase. I bought my Toyota from a Toyota dealer and when I look them up they are reading as OEM hubcaps from Toyota. So I donβt know what that was about. But he said I should get a call the next week. Again, it has been 2 months since I took my car to the shop and no call about the item they broke without having to hunt them down in the phone. Just complete poor customer service. They lost a customer as well as my hubcap.

Went to Universal as they were closer, didnt stay for service. Long story short Id walk 15 miles to get to Cavender Toyota (they wouldnt let that happen) just for their sales and service. Finally passed the original warranty period; but they still make sure I can get in for the services needed and not break the bank! You now get a walk thru video of your cars service in the bay too! Thank you Angela, thats ToyotaCare!!! (No paid marketing here)
Terrible will not go back. I will get my car serviced elsewhere. I have been buying cars from them for over 30 years. I bought two cars cash in September last year. Never again they lost my business. Enough said. Thanks but no thanks.
This place gets the stars for the techs and mechanics which is the best part here. The customer service is a lot of shine and empty vessel. Do not be misguided by the bright lights, and fancy looking furniture. I requested a shuttle, 30 minutes passed and nothing, i even checked with two of the front desk cashiers/attendants. They informed me that a courtesy shuttle would be made available as soon as possible, 30 minutes passed. Insteqd of the hassle I just got a Lyft myself. Got a call about an hour later to pick up my truck, showed up and yet again another 20 minute wait just to pick up the car. Im no efficiency expert but I know for a fact there are better ways to manage the flow and get customers out in a timely fashion. Not sure I will bring it back to this Toyota service. I have experienced tremendously better level of professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
Went for my scheduled oil change on Friday at 3 pm. And was out in 30 minutes, which is actually good for a dealership.
Want to charge $200 for maintenance check n oil change when it should be free . Smh

Its been about 2 years since I last posted about Cavender Toyota, so I thought Id give an update.While waiting here for my car to be serviced, I got to see the newly renovated service area and it looks as good as their service is! They now have a small coffee bar where you can order some Starbucks as well as snacks. They run down the list of everything going on with your vehicle after its ready and let you know exactly what was done. As always excellent service. Shout out to Caitlin at the service department for always having the best attitude and greeting!
I was assisted by Julian Lopez from the Service Department at Cavendar Toyota to get my vehicle (2003 Toyoalta Camry) inspected for the state registration. Julian was very patient and transparent in telling me the immediate and the future potential maintenance jobs that would be required on my vehicle. All in all, it was a pleasurable experience for me with Cavendar Toyota and Julian.

I highly recommend this service center. The staff is incredibly friendly and the courtesy text messages help to keep me up-to-date while I wait. The facility was recently remodeled and not only does it make check-in easier, the waiting area is inviting and comfortable with free waters and coffee.My advisor, Ignacio Ortega, is very knowledgeable and courteous. He makes sure that you know whats going in every step of the way and I will definitely be back to see him.
As soon as I pulled up to the service center Julian Lopez was the first to greet & assist me. He was professional yet very friendly and answered all the questions I had regarding my vehicle. He made sure to check in and update me frequently and even had my car cleaned! I love coming to this Toyota service center! The staff are always friendly and the tacos are (low key) pretty good too! I will definitely be coming back for all my car service needs! :)
I took the car in with concern with my ABS/ Brake system. Brian F. From the service department was amazing from the beginning. He kept me up to date every step of the way. He was able to service the car and get it running to 100%. Brian is very knowledgeable and the entire staff was polite. Superrrrr easy to work with, and the majority of everything is done via text message (So much easier this way)!!!My car completely did not start and I spoke with Ignacio in the service center and helped me the entire way from setting my appointment up and having my car evaluated.They are also not pushy about making you buy all the services at once like some places Ive been to... The prices are a little bit high but I have a hybrid and its not like I can go buy a battery at AutoZone :-( So I think its worth it.

Have used multiple services from this business. Always a different Advisor, even if you make an appointment. No consistency of your information thru different visits, always have to re-visit and re-explain because I cant get the same Advisor, or have my cars information available to the next Advisor with history. I have even paid for service I didnt order because a different Advisor misunderstood my request. The service I requested wasnt performed. Add insult to injury, Cavender Toyota made no effort to provide the requested service. They just took my money, and walked away.Also, they dont have the ability to duplicate your Toyota key. Their duplicator failed 3 times, and Im still waiting for a software update to be applied . They have in their possession, a purchased blank there, waiting to be cut.Terrible business.

As a women I always feel discouraged going in to get my car serviced only because I always feel that I can get taken advantage of because I donβt know much about vehicles. But todayβs experience at Cavender Toyota Service turned that all around with the help of JUAN GUZMAN my service advisor who really helped take more care of my Camry and helped me understand what I needed done and he got it done. I was concerned about my brakes and of course he answered me and had a solution .I went in for an oil change and my car looked and felt fantastic. (:Thank you . Pretty disappointed. I bought a brand new car in September 2019 and was told that when I brought my vehicle in for the regular maintenance the first two years, that my vehicle would get a complimentary wash. Well, I brought my vehicle in today for itβs first routine maintenance and was told that my vehicle would NOT be washed because THEY were not meeting peopleβs expectations with the car wash. In what world does that make any sense? Seems like thatβs an issue they should fix on their end instead of making their loyal customers suffer. When Iβm spending a fair amount of money, and Iβm promised certain benefits that help make my decision to purchase with you, at the minimum you should uphold your end of the deal. I make sure to pay my bill with Toyota Financial every month and brought my friend here to purchase their brand new vehicle not even a week later. That wonβt be happening again moving forward. I have a Toyota Camry, my son just bought a Toyota Corolla and my daughter has a Toyota Rav4. Never have had any problems with the actual dealership or the service department. Everyone there is amazing and we will continue to be loyal customers. Michael Mares was very patient, understanding and went above and beyond to help us when my son purchased his car. Cavender Toyota is great, everyone who works there is amazing, the vehicles are built to last. What more could a person want. If youre in need of a vehicle you should definitely stop into Cavender Toyota and ask for Michael Mares.

My two experiences coming to this Cavendar have been phenomenal! Jonathan Foster has been my adviser twice and has always been incredibly transparent in regards to what my car needs now, in a few months, or in the next 5K miles; Ive never felt scammed or forced to purchase a service I dont need and have always been treated with respect. Whenever I didnt understand the necessity of a service or what the service itself entailed, Jonathan was extremely patient with me, so that I would have the automotive literacy to understand what was happening to my car. I plan on coming to this service center in the future while Im in San Antonio and would highly recommend it!
If you want to ruin your car which is in good condition and want to regret about driving your car again after taking it here for the routine service, then you should go to this place. It feels like they recommend unnecessary additional services, and just charge a lot for everything, and if something is not done correctly and you call them back, their attitude changes to the worst and they try to charge you even more to diagnose it further. I got some service done here after their recommendation and they did a horrible job and messed it up real bad. They wanted to charge me again just for checking the mess they did and to look at what is going on. Also gave excuses to set up an appointment to get it fixed. I would never go back here and DO NOT recommend.I would give a negative rating if i could!

Ashley was an amazing representative of this facility. Coming into the appointment, I expect to be waiting for my vehicle for over an hour. I was in and out of their waiting room in under 45 minutes! Matenense of my Rava 4 2018. I was pleased in the past and now in the present. Staff from the moment I drove up till the moment I drove off was professional, polite and knowledgeable. Ive always taken my car to Cavender Toyota for service, since I bought it there. Its very easy and reliable. Today, a gentleman named Sergio Vasquez helped me out. I was so appreciative of his service because he explained to me which services were needed on todays visit so I could get those taken care of and also let me know what services my car would be needing soon, as well as cost so that I could plan ahead for those services.
I had a great experience with Ignacio Ortega in the Cavender Toyota Service Center. Ignacio took the time to listen carefully about the problems our 2013 Avalon was having. He went out of his way to make everything right for our car. He also took the time to explain to me the issues involved with our car. It was a real pleasure to work with him!

Jonathon Foster and the service team did it again when it comes to knocking it out of the park with an exceptional five star service experience. I brought my Prius in for a safety recall software update, and without any hesitation the team reeled me and my Boston terrier Pepe into their comfortable waiting room and accommodated me immediately into their service schedule. Before I knew it they were calling me to pick up my car. 2 years ago when I first bought my car I received the same outstanding service from a team that creates a very comfortable environment to be around. Everyone had a smile on their faces whenever we made eye contact making me and Pepe feel right at home!! Thank you so much for making my day run smoothly on Tuesday!!!

I needed some regular maintainence on my Land Cruiser. I really enjoy my LC and have had it for almost 20 yrs. Kate Dawson and Mike Quinn were on top of everything. They saw to it that everything was done right and punctually. Plus Kate made sure I was on the shuttle in time to get me where I needed to be and also made sure I got picked up to pick up my LC when it was done. She went out of her way to make sure I was satified with the work done after I picked up my LC. Mike saw to it that the work was done and then double checked to make sure. He checked out a couple of concerns I had and made me feel real comfortable with the work he suggested doing and even more comfortable with the things he told me were in great shape. He creativly suggested a couple of ways to solve an issue I had and he got it done for less money than I thought it would cost. Mike knows his business and the end result is I have a car that still runs like new and it gets worked on by folks who I really trust and make me feel like part of the family. Its not really surprising that I will always bring it back to Cavender. Land Cruisers run forever but if I ever buy a new one I will buy it where I bought my last one. Cavender.
