Came here regularly for oil changes. Last time was a disappointment. They told me that the oil plug has been over tightened and needs to be replaced. They did the last oil change on this vehicle. It was over tightened by them. Again...they did the last oil change on this vehicle. I have learned that being lazy and paying someone to do this simple maintenance procedure is not a good idea. Im back to changing my own oil. Lesson learned.Oh, and they have a promotion thats a $20 value included free with the oil change. Three different choices. I chose the injector cleaner. See the pic. Thats what they call a $20 value. Seriously? $20 value?... What a joke.This used to be a 5 star review. All good until you try and screw a loyal customer.Midas... No need to respond with your standard answer. I know your really dont care. This review is for other customers to know. Bye bye.... And of course, the standard reply was issued. Funny.

They stole my radio from this location and I was told that they weren’t liable. They then wanted me to pay for a part to take my vehicle out of shop even though they didn’t do the work. I left it so they could do the work and spent $200 instead of $2300. The part was over $1,000 which led me to believe there was something suspicious going on. They lied about my warranty covering the job they supposedly did. Everything is fishy about this place. They installed my turbo horribly. I am now paying extra at another place due to their horrible customer service and mechanical work on my vehicle.

I went to get an oil change and the whole time I was driving the cap wasnt put back on so ever did my oil change had alot on his mine and didnt put it on how I know is because right after the accident I got in to I opened the hood and the cap was unscrewed laying to the side....

Had a seized caliper and a warranty. They didnt want to call the warranty company and wanted to know how theyd get paid for the work. I left and went to the Pat Booker location and they took care of me right away. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I wish I could truly express just how thankful I am for this place. I have had so many various car issues in the last few months which got very stressful and very expensive very quickly. Im the first to admit that I know close to nothing when it comes to car repairs which always made me feel that Id be easy to take advantage of. I never felt that with this shop. Each time they took excellent care of me, always explaining exactly whats going on, taking me into the garage and showing me what Im dealing with, and answered any questions I had. I was never pressured to get anything done that I didnt actually need. Matt is a great owner who is incredibly accommodating and Scott is hands down the best mechanic I have ever dealt with and he definitely needs a raise! Sydney, Eric, Ramon, Ricky, and everyone else Ive interacted with have been professional, polite, and friendly. If I could give them 100 stars I would. It is so hard to find a place you can trust nowadays but I am so glad I did. I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you so much for everything you have done for me!

No masks inside or out. staff was short and offered no extra services or anything else the car might need. my car had gone 2 years without service and Im quite sure could have used some service that they probably provided and I would have likely paid for.

Dont bother with the oil change Groupon. The time it takes isnt worth the savings.The car was dropped off at 0915, I was told an hour turn around, I came to pick up at 1130 and they hadnt even started. It was after 1215 (three hours!).If you are busy and have a wait time, no big deal, but dont mislead people on how long it will take. My time is valuable also.

Not impressed at all !! The person at the desk didnt know how operate the computer, it took forever to work up the repair order---only to say he didnt have the weight oil I needed. I took my car in for oil change last year and Matt Leal was service rep who was assisting. He highly recommended that I change my front brake pads/rotor and half shaft up front right away. I asked if I really needed to right away or could I wait a while. He stated I needed to do it asap and he could start work on it right away. I said I would have to think about it due to costly repair. I took my car in to Sears to get second opinion. Service manager said I didnt need to do breaks right away. I still have a good six months to a year to change out. After this I never went back to Midas. Not trustworthy!

I was driving by this store and parked one of the next stores for my business. I did not have any issues in my car but when i was leaving I noticed a big nail on my left rear tire. They were right next door and i just went here. When the tire started to lose air the car gave me the low tire pressure warning.The tire was beyond repair because of the damage and i decided to change all 4 tires in this store and paid more than 600$When I left the shop tire pressure was still on even though they changed all the tires in my car. I went back there to check what is going on. They said the tire that had the nail might have damaged the pressure sensor. when they checked the car they found out the tire pressure sensor on the right rear tire had problems. However, my left tire blew up and nothing was wrong until they touched the right tire. They do not accept their accidental damage on my car and still try to charge me 70 $ to fix the issue. I left without fixing and I still have the pressure warning.

Used Groupon, came to about 28$ for 1 hour turn around for synthetic oil change, excellent service.

Michelle went above and beyond to help me out at a different Midas location that was not accepting my Groupon. She made some phone calls and got me into the Midas that originally said No. Next time I will go to her location! Thank you again Michelle!!

Got a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change last Friday. After pulling my vehicle in they call me over to inform me that there is an oil leak and can’t get a reading. They end up draining 1 quart of oil and complete the oil change for me. I go home and realize the next morning that there is a TON of oil all on my driveway. I call Midas and they tell me that they had informed me of the oil leak already and give me a quote of $290 to fix the gasket and get ANOTHER oil change. I was suspicious, so I took my car into Cavender Toyota to get looked at. Low and behold they didn’t plug my vehicle correctly so all the oil I just purchased leaked out. My wife calls Midas to inform them of their error and they don’t care. DO NOT GO HERE THEY DO SHOTTY WORK AND DONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ERRORS!!

I’ve been going to Midas for a few years mainly because of Matt and Robert. These guys have always treated me right whether for my company vehicles or my personal vehicles. They do great work and are always honest about the situation. Although Midas is a large chain, Matt and Robert keep the small town shop feel to the place with their integrity and good work. I would highly recommend this place.

I highly recommend Midas at San Pedro for any of your vehicle service needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and honest. No pushy sales tactics or trying to sell you things you dont need. Customer Service at this location is top notch, and the waiting room offers comfortable seating while youre waiting for your vehicle. I personally take my truck and my wifes car here for all of our service needs and I live all the way across town but make the drive because I feel I can trust the staff and level of service Im going to receive from this location. Took my vehicle for an oil change they said I neededBoth filters changed the serpentine chain changed my power steering line flushed out ended spending 600.00 2 weeks later my car was. making a horrible noise sounds like an airplane worse with a/c on cost additional 208.00 vehicle still making noise very loud and power steering is doing same thing with popping noise. Midas is a little pricey with their work, especially major work, that I happened to need. They are very good at diagnosing your problems. Unfortunately, I couldnt afford the job and had to do some research. Their price at or around $2,400, my cost having someone else do it, $1100 with original parts.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, unless of course I am dissatisfied and need to vent. I was so impressed by my experience with Midas, and owner Andre in particular, that I feel inclined to take a minute to share so that other people know that when they need automotive work done, Midas is hands down the place to go. First of all, I am a single mother with limited income and limited resources. When my car broke down, I had to make sure I got the best deal so I called around to get prices on alignment repair. When I called Midas they beat the competitors by nearly 20 dollars. I spoke with Andre, the owner, and asked him how long it would take so I could figure out if I could wait for it, or if I needed to drop it off. I explained that I would be bringing both of my boys, one of which has ADHD, and is not fond of waiting. Andre empathized, but explained that it was best to drop it off because he couldn’t be sure how long it would take. When I told him I could drop it but I wouldn’t be able to get a ride to pick it up, he offered to send someone to my house, pick me and both boys up, and take us to the car when they were done working on it. As it turned out, my alignment was so far off that the machine couldn’t even read it; it had to be aligned by eyeballing it, and then realigned with the machine. The shop closed at 5, and my car wasn’t done until 8 o’clock because of the extra work. Andre came to get us free of charge, and didn’t charge me for any extra work. I was so impressed by the level of customer service, and the personal touch that I will not take my car anywhere else.

I have been coming to this location for over a year or so now. They have done an outstanding job keeping my car on the road and I have had to have extensive repairs done. They explain everything and can back it up. They saved me from spending over $500 on a repair that the dealership tried to make me think I needed. Turns out there wasnt a problem at all once they looked at it. I trust them with my vehicle.

All I needed was oil drain/fill. I brought 0w-40. Following 2 weeks other shops telling me your car has no dipstick, we cant touch it! Tyrone at Midas got us going in 45 mins. Outstanding.

Totally dissatisfied brought my car in AGAIN AND AGAIN outrageous amount of money said it was fixed and today Im back within the week because my car is still doing the same thing -still stalling. If i hadnt spent so much money trying to fix my car I wouldnt keep coming back and being told it has another problem. Wish i knew another place to take it.

I purchased 38.99$ synthetic blended oil change for 19.99$ on Groupon. Original price of Synthetic blended one was 29.99 when I got there. I still dont know where 38.99$ came from. And there was no any sticker on window for the next oil change when I got back to my car.

Let them know they lost a loyal customer. The guy at the front desk says meh it happens. Before I walked out I asked how long have I been coming to you guys. I could never get a straight foward answer when it came to anything, a simple question like that he didnt bother looking in the system to tell me. This place is nice and all giving me a free oil change because of the long waiting for them to change my breaks which they never did. They needed a specialist who fixes electronic breaks which I have. Literally two and half months from that free oil change my engine started making a knocking noise, I take it back to them and they say I need a new engine. Thought that was a red flag instantly, not to mention the free oil change they didnt have it on file, didnt know who did it... seriously and the DM Matt couldnt even give me back the diagnostic what the computer said what was wrong with it, he just simply said it didnt read back anything, no codes no nothing. Worthless in my book never again will I go here. Lesson learned do you research.

Super service, Sydney was knowledgeable and very polite, in and out in a timely fashion.

Had my oil changed here often in the past under old management. Havent been going there lately due to competitive prices that were better by other service providers who also addressed various other mechanical issues. Prices here are outdated, especially with brakes. I was quoted $500 for all around lifetime warranty brakes and got the same exact brakes and warranty for $360 down the street from Firestone Bridgeston. Over all, its ran smoothly and my oil changes were done well in the past. Competitive prices are whats lacking.

I use my vehicle for Uber and need to make sure to complete oil changes more frequent than usual. When I arrived I could tell they were behind schedule and I was told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. I agreed. When they got to my vehicle it was placed on a lift not accessible to remove tires for my tire rotation. When I inquired about that I was told tire rotation was not necessary but it seemed like it was already decided before inspection that that item would be skipped. Overall not impressed with service.

I was trying to get some rims and tires swapped around. Came over to this location due to another another tech “Andrew”. I was at the Perrin Beitel location. He Pulls the truck in and realizes the tools are locked up. Sends me over to another location (san pedro). Tells me Matt will do it for the 40.00.I get over here and Matt says he cant do it due to their “policy”. I even said I’d pay the 80.00 that i was originally quoted. Wouldn’t honor what was told or agreed on. Andrew, and Matt were no help and only offered to give me a free oil change. Definitely will not be back. Matt refused to honor what was told. Customer service is definitely nonexistent with places like these.

The guys at the San Pedro location are very personable, pleasant and courteous. Its the best customer service I have received in along time. Other companies should take lessons from these guys.

Worst experience ever. Went in for oil and filter change they put on wrong filter which came off and ruined my engine. My car is only 2 years old with 13,000 miles. Cost $7000 to get fixed. Midas denied everything. Do your research and listen to the reviews as youve been warned.

Went in last Saturday with an coolant hose leaking profusely and truck almost overheating. Despite the fact they were overbooked, the manager Christian worked me in due to the emergency situation. Turns out there was a lot more wrong than the hose. Had multiple cooling system repairs done over the course of a few days. The price was fair, everything explained well, and I was allowed to inspect everything they were doing. No rip off tactics here. Thanks to Christian, John and Tyrone for the good customer service and providing a few laughs.

I have been coming to Midas at 6659 San Pedro Ave for a long time. I have always been given great and speedy service. All the employees are very nice.
