I found Sam at Pharaoh after all Alfa Romeo dealers in San Antonio closed and I needed a repair. Sam is extremely thorough and goes the extra mile to satisfy his customers. His knowledge of cars is extensive and he takes the time to fix things right. I will definitely be using Pharaoh for my future repairs.

This guy is a total rip off. His quotes on parts prices combined with labor costs did not add up at all (he gave me 3 different scenarios with the costs for parts). He then charged me $240 for 2 hours of labor to diagnose the problem with the vehicle. The hood of the car wasnt even lifted because there wasnt a single finger print on hood of the car and it was quite dirty so any fingerprints would definitely have been visible. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

I have a 2012 BH Genesis 5.0 that threw a rod. Called Sam, got a quote, and replaced minor incidentals(thermo, plugs, etc.) + full engine swap. Price was relatively close to quote, and done quickly. He filled the engine with a KR-specific oil, and even replaced exhaust bolts that had rusted. Brought the car in next day after getting a engine code, and diagnosing it myself. Car was fresh off a engine swap, so I wanted to make sure I was right. He not only diagnosed it correctly, but manage to locate a TSB that I was unable to find straight from Hyundai. Its rare to find mechanics these days that actually do good work. Cant recommend more highly.

The check engine light on my 2010 Honda Pilot started flashing and it was evident by the way the vehicle was driving that there was a misfire occurring. We were 1.5 hours away from our town and googled auto repair services. Pharaoh Imports & Exotics had the highest rating with 178 reviews. The owner Sam took the call and was very friendly. They typically only accept repairs and services by appointment only but made an exception when he heard my situation. He originally estimated that it would take 3 hours to repair my vehicle but he immediately knew what the problem was and got me out within 1.5 hours. I had previously taken the vehicle in to another repair shop for the same problem and was charged $1000 for a valve adjustment which did not fix the problem. Highly recommended!

Pharaohs probably knows my car better than me at this point. I’ve had my vehicle in there multiple times for different reasons and everytime I get it back the work is amazing and car is running better than ever. Hey so first time customer... Had a good experience I was just in for an oil change ( 2015 vw Jetta SE TDI) . Talked to Sam early AM and told me to show 1:30 that same day I was in and out within an hour price was fair and under dealership cost. I would definitely go back for issues with an 2014 Ford F150 FX4.

The people were friendly. The dropping off and picking up processes were good. The service was fine, however, once I got to drive it the following day (Saturday), I noticed that the airbag light on the dash stayed on and would not turn off at all, leading me to believe that the service tech didnt notice the error. I am a little disappointed about this issue and will call the office tomorrow on my way to work.

My car has over 185,000 miles thanks to Sams care. This visit was mostly routine for an oil change and rear brake pads and rotors, but I also asked him to check out the suspension based on some rattling sounds I was hearing. He discovered that I had lost most of the clips holding my rocker panels on and that the front sway bar links were worn out. Even though the sway bar link replacement hadnt been scheduled, he was able to get the parts from Honda and complete all the work for me that same day. I highly recommend Pharaohs as a shop you can trust to get the most mileage out of your vehicle.

Sam and the guys had to improvise to complete the job and they did exceptional. I broke down in San Antonio and found them on google maps. I was going to a different shop, just thought I should double-check. Turned out Pharaoh was less than 2 miles from where I broke down and they specialized in BMWs. What I thought was the worse week turned into a better and brighter one after a simple phone call. My EPC and check engine light came on and I was stressing (given it was my first issue with my VW Jetta) as to where I would take it. Sam is a genius with all manufacturers and automotive technologies. He recently diagnosed an electrical problem, pulled the manufacturer (Ford) data online in real time, and was able to resolve the concern... and at no charge! I have a more serious and complex problem with the same vehicle and will be taking to Sam next week for diagnosis and repair. For reference, the local Ford dealer who has done a good deal of the maintenance on this vehicle says they would need to keep the car for at least a week before even looking at it!!! Sam is A+++++

I took my car in for a free estimate on a Friday. He told me to drop my car off in the morning since I had to work. They have a drop box, so I left my car there. My car should have been ready in 3 hours. Dodge sent him a defective part. So Dodge had to order another part and that part would not be in until Wednesday. As soon as he received the part he installed and tested it. The car drives like new. I did not have to hassle with Dodge on returning the defective part. He handled everything. I asked him to check my suspension and brakes. He told me they were fine. I have been to other shops that would lie to you and replace a bunch of parts that did not really need replacing. I will definitely bring my car back to him in the future if I need more work done.

I was very impressed with the honesty and the professionalism of this shop! I was quoted $3,800 at another shop by the San Antonio airport and luckily I came here for a second opinion! The owner was so honest with what my Maserati really needed in repairs and it only cost me $2,200! The mechanics are awesome!

Although I was able to get them on the phone and verify hours for the following day, no one was there on the Saturday I showed up. I waited until they should have been open for 45 minutes and called continuously during that time on all the public numbers, then gave up.

Had rear shock replaced on Mercedes. Was referred to Sam by Open Bay. Repairs were satisfactorily completed on a very timely basis. Sam was very pleasant to work with. Cost was much less than quote from M.B. dealership. Good first impression.

Sam was awesome! My MB Ml 350 had been at MB for a sound coming from the right tire area after MB replaced the sway bar and wanting to replace shocks. I visited Pharaoh Imports in May 2018 while on a road trip. My car was acting up and I called Sam (the owner) and he told me because I was on a trip, to come right over and he get me in ahead of others. While they couldnt pinpoint the exact cause of the issue with my car, they told me a a few possibles and to bring the car back by on my way through Texas to home in Virginia. By the time I got back to San Antonia 3 weeks later, the car was running better and the repairs could wait till I got home. But the fact that he squeezed my in and tried to fix the car was terrific and won a lifelong customer.My 80+ year old parents live in San Antonio and their car needed attention and so after I got home I called Sam and arranged an appointment. He looked at the car, called me in Virginia and gave me the estimate and then fixed the car as promised. Again, terrific service considering Im out of town and could easily be taken advantage of. I dont hesitate to recommend Pharaoh Imports and will be sending my parents car there from now on.Terrific job, Sam!!!

They treat you very nice and do not try to screw you over! I have a Mercedes and I took it to another place for an oil change and they spilled oil on my engine and messed my car up! But then I took my car to Pharaohs and they make my car sound like it was brand new!!! Ive gotten my brakes, bumper, lights, and spark plugs done here and I always get the best service!

I recently bought a use Mercedes C63 AMG from a boutique dealership in Austin but in the first month it got an engine manifold leak error. Sam really thoroughly dug into the causes and even found some additional issues. I love how Sam emails photos and calls every step of the way because I was then able to take my car back to the dealership with his photos & advice to show how the vehicle should never have passed inspection. Sam saved me a ton but then when I needed him for some belts, valves, pulleys, and break work done, he saved me again. I got quotes from the MB dealership and another comparable mechanic but found there was NO comparison. Sam was way more thorough, trustworthy, and affordable! Sam’s work and overall service is definitely worth more than his competitors. But Sam please don’t change your prices :-) You got a customer for life

Took in my BMW, Sam was extremely nice and helpful. Replaced three gaskets for less than i was quoted at other shops in San Antonio for just one of the gaskets. Had a separate issue with my starter finally give out and the work was done quickly with a good explanation of what was involved in the work.

I’ve been dealing with an ignition factory defect on my 2006 H3 for at least 4 years. After several (4) trips to different mechanics in town who never could fix this issue yet always managed to find something else to “fix”, it was brought in to Pharaoh’s for repair on other problems I was having. I’m happy to say that after 4 years and 5 mechanic trips later, my Black Beauty (that’s her name) now gives me no problems starting and she’s back on the road better than ever!! I’m so happy as she is part of our family and I wasn’t ready to put her down, lol, yet was fed up with being stranded. Thank you so much! Will recommend you to everyone!!

THis shop and Sam are awesome. They are efficient and honest. I’ve taken my Cadillac there twice and compared to the Cadillac dealer, Pharaoh’s is much more reasonable.

I normally do not write reviews unless something went terrible wrong or right. In the case of Pharaoh they did everything right. Within 4 hours of dropping off my wifes 2003 Buick La Sabre for an estimate, I received a call from Sam telling me they found the problem, can fix it in 20 minutes, and would cost $1600 LESS then the dealer quote I was given. It has been several weeks since the repairs and the La Sabre is running better than it has in years.Sam and his staff are the most friendly and professional people I have ever dealt with in the auto repair world. I highly recommend using Pharaoh Imports and Domestics for any auto problem you have. You will not be disappointed.

Great place to fix your luxury cars. I have been using this repair shop for about 2 yrs now. So called repairs I had at other shops were done with cheap parts and poorly done. This guys not only fixed what I came to them to repair but the terrible jobs previously done by another shop. Pharaoh not only fixed my vehicle with quality parts but he did it on time and properly.

Very disappointed!! I tried this place based on the great reviews. Was there a total of 7 minutes, 5 of which were spent waiting for SOMEONE to acknowledge my existence. In the time that I was there a man (who turned out not to be a paying customer at all) drove up and was greeted immediately (and politely) but when I walked up right behind him, the owner hopped back on his Bluetooth conversation and didnt even say Hi or Be right with you or even a reassuring smile. He then rushed me out and it was clear that he didnt value my possible business.

Sam and Marissa have been incredible. This is my first actual mechanic vs. a box store car place like Firestone, Pep Boys, etc. Sam has been able to find issues with my car when other places shrugged their shoulders and couldn’t help. Even when he couldn’t find an issue that was causing my car to shut off he refused to charge me for their inspection or the several days of trial and error. After the reviews I was expecting a better service and I would not reccomend going to them. I paid $85 for an inspection of my car that pretty much took all of 5 minutes of driving and 5 minutes lifting it to look at the bottom. Maybe that was all it took to diagnose the main issues but I had spoken to Sam about getting a full vehicle inspection and there were many issues he did not address. For that kind of money I expect a detailed inspection of the whole vehicle and report of what was found. All I got was a receipt with a couple basic things pointed out. We bought a car from Sam after him being our mechanic for 3 years. It immediately had problems, and big ones. He did not honor his sale, and we ended up not only paying too much for the car (our fault), but paying close to 4k more for vital repairs. He totally blew us off. If you want a dealer that you can trust, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HIM.
