It is impossible to do business here. I believe this is a lumber store but everytime I call to see if they have what I need in stock, the receptionist says we only have 2 guys on the lumber counter and they are with customers. Try again later. There are 2 receptionists who cant help customers over the phone, and two guys who can but dont.Pro-tip: dont bother trying to buy here unless you can come in in person and spend lots of time in line between 9 am and 5pm. Not for people with jobs 🙄

Fantastic selections and staff! I am very new to wood work and the staff were patient when explaining the things I didnt understand. The selection of woods was amazing! I was allowed to go out and look at the different wood as well. The prices were great as well. I would have paid twice as much to get what I wanted from home depot.

Normally mills tend to be extremely misogynistic and rude but when I went there today they were very welcoming and nice. They had amazing selections and very reasonable pricing. Ill definitely be back.

Showroom not open to public. They have a good process where you stay in your truck while they pull and load your order. Faster than I thought it would be!

You know the big box stores try and outnumber the lumber yards, but you cant beat quality. The gentleman up at the front desk are not only knowledgeable theyre ready to aid you in the proper direction. They have a large variety of different species of wood. If you need something in particular they can mill you just about anything. There downtown location is just around the corner from you. I highly recommend you consider them when working on your next project.

The best place in town for wood, sheet good, mouldings, and cabinetry hardware.The service desk will ask you a bunch of questions because they have a lot of options and they want to get you the best item for your needs so trust them a little, it will pay off.They have tons of hardware for kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, trim, etc but most people dont know about their multiple showrooms so make sure and ask.While this is not a mega store, i regard them as a key store in your home store inventory.

Sent me out with cull lumber, .. had ordered #1 treated lumber for a deck project... had to return those materials.

This place is a nightmare to work with. Every time I call I get transferred to sales, but they never answer. When you show up to the lumber yard, there are tons of people working, but no one is available to help you look for something.

Delivered a load of Duglas Fur from oregon. Pulled up and was shown nothing but respect and friendly people. Got me in rite away, one of the guys even gave a hand folding my tarps. Always nice delivering to places like this. They got me in and out in less than 35 min.

Great place for specialty, custom hardware. Lumber, high end finishes. Great for upscale and unique remodels.

This company is Customer service and more. I have been a customer for over 45 years whether its Lumber or hardware they have it.Also special molding or standard dimension Lumber milled to your specifications can be gotten here.

Specialize in doors and windows. Did not have what I wanted because I needed a closet door which they do not carry. Staff courteous and answered my questions even though it was obvious I had made an error in going to their store. Has been in San Antonio forever and I see why they are still in business.

This place sucks, I drove all the way over here based on recommendations. My first impression with the personnel working here is terrible. Personnel have poor customer services with limited understanding on the items they have in stock. Brought a sample and was passed around for someone who could help, come to find out that they didnt have it. I wasted time and effort waiting for nothing.

I feel like theres nothing you cant find in here. I can spend hours here and never get bored.

We made a recent lumber purchase here for over a $1,000, included in this purchase was three cedar post that I was using for my front porch. We paid extra for the sides to be smoothed out and our contractor picked up our order. We didnt see post till they were installed, there were holes, where knots in wood fell out, one was going from one side to the other, edges not smooth, large splinters and gouges. Trusted them to sell us quality wood, we could have gone to big box stores and paid less and gotten better. They sold us their trash wood and wouldnt make it right, they told me to use putty and sand over, why should we have to do that, this is supposed to be the best wood, high quality. We will Never buy anything from them again! Would give them zero stars but not available so had to pick one star.

Have always found that hard to find trim when trying to match older trim. Everyone is very freindy as well and usually beats home depot prices for crown and moulding.

Dishonest, I was looking for 105 wood siding and they told me that they had to “custom mill it” at $35 per foot and that NO one in the City carried it, come to find out that Guadalupe Lumber and MG Building supply carries it . It turns out it’s pretty common siding for historic homes . Dishonest practices by this business for trying to take advantage of a customers lack of knowledge in building materials .
